Summoned by Lan Qiren, Jiang Wanyin goes to the Cloud Recesses to drop his nephew Jin Ling, expecting to discuss relevant matters with his old master. Instead, he's asked to take with him no other than Sect Leader Lan himself, all the way back to Lotus Pier. If the reason why he accepted such an outrageous task is indeed a mystery, he's about to be surprised by how this entire trip, their encounters, and his warm company, suddenly feel fated.

Summary
Ten years ago the cultivational world rose up against the Wens, after the burning of Cloud Recesses and the massacre at Lotus Pier, where the Jiangs were wiped out. No trace of Jiang Fengmian's missing children were ever found, however, and hope that they had somehow survived, was eventually forgotten.
Now, several years after peace had been restored, rumours of necromancy begin to seep out of Yiling and the Burial Mounds where thousands of dead are said to sleep, and Lan Xichen is sent to investigate.
What he discovers there may shake up the quietly peaceful cultivational world all over again.

Summary

Summary
Good things didn’t usually come falling right into Jiang Cheng’s lap. But, by some miracle, Lan Huan did (well, Lan Huan fell, and into the river, not his lap, but that was just semantics, shut up). He was here now and, gods be generous, Jiang Cheng was going to be greedy.
He was determined to do anything — pay any price, make any sacrifice — to ensure that he got to keep this Good Thing they had going in his otherwise shitty-ass life for as long as he could.
Or: Lan XiChen teaches Jiang Cheng a lesson on the un-transactional nature of offering and of receiving love. Through the timeless power of healing sex. Yeah. It sounded cooler in his head.
