Summary
We know the rough outlines of Daniel, Sam and Teal'c's childhoods - we've heard about (or actually seen) what happened to all their parents, and know where Daniel and Teal'c, at least, grew up. We've even met Nick and Jacob and Bra'tac and Shan'auc in person. But Jack?
Jack apparently sprang into existence as a full-grown member of the Air Force. Aside from vague suggestions of roots in Minnesota and Chicago, we know nothing earlier than his Black Ops mission in "The Gamekeeper."
So I'm making the most of this hole in canon by filling it with as many cool alternatives as I can think of.
