The Storm In Your Bright Eyes

Summary:

"It's just this one night, right?"

Jung Hoseok wants to find someone to love, while painful memories from his past keep haunting him.

Min Yoongi never sleeps with a same guy more than once. That is until a doe-eyed stranger walks into his life.

Years after the nightmarish events Hoseok went through, he finally feels strong enough to consider himself ready for an intimate relationship. What he doesn't see coming, is love that starts to bloom in the most unexpected place, when he meets a man who makes him feel safe in strangely familiar way.

Chapter 1: Prey

Notes:

Hi!

Glad you stumbled across my first Sope fic, I hope you'll enjoy it! :)

Kudos are very appreciated, and please always feel free to leave comments too if you want, I would love to hear your thoughts :)

The childhood sexual abuse tag refers to the past. The abuse itself is not graphically described in this story. There are vague flashbacks to the time when it happened, and Hoseok talks about them to some degree in the present, but again, not graphically.

Other triggers: sexual content, drugging, mild(ish) violence, drinking, swearing, attempt at sexual assault, hospitals, psychological trauma and unspecified mental health issues. Head the tags carefully before reading this story!

Chapter Text

"Take off that choker, I'm not letting you go out wearing that."

"What, why?" Hoseok asked. "I like it. Does it not look good on me?"

"You look hot as hell with that, that's why I don't want you to wear it. Every man's gonna want to eat you." Hoseok's friend shivered at the thought.

"I don't think that's going to be a problem", Hoseok shrugged. "I'm sure no one will even notice me."

"Yeah sure..." the other rolled his eyes.

Hoseok took a final glance in the mirror. 'I guess I look okay', he thought to himself. He had picked a pair of black jeans and a white, loose blouse.

His friend raised his eyes from his phone, observing the other and noticing a hint of nervousness in his expression.

"Tell me again, why do you suddenly want to go clubbing, when you absolutely hate that kind of stuff?"

Hoseok sighed. "I just want to meet someone, Jimin", he said. "And yes, I hate clubbing because I used to think that's not a place to go if you're looking for... love. But... I don't know. I go to places, every day... I go to the mall, coffee shops, I've tried the library... I never meet anyone interesting. I'm just... tired of waiting and... maybe it's time to try the clubs."

"Sounds great", Jimin said. "I think I'm actually more excited than you are. I can't wait to see you fall in love. To finally have some boy on boy action -"

"Can you stop", Hoseok said, embarrassed.

"You know you want it."

"Of course I want it", Hoseok mumbled. "I'm 22 and never been with a man, how do you think I feel?"

"Honestly, I'd feel just great", Jimin said. "Trust me, you don't want your first time to be with some random crush, when you're merely a teen." He sighed at his memories. "Boy, was that a messy experience."

Hoseok turned to look at the younger. "But when you're with someone new, doesn't it kinda feel like it's your first time?"

"I don't know... I guess?"

"Then don't be sad about it", Hoseok said smiling. "When you find the love of your life, you can have your first time again."

Jimin stared at the older for a moment. "Wow", he then said. "That's deep. But okay, I believe your wise words." He got up from the couch and walked to Hoseok. "Now go", he said. "You look great, so go and find someone who can make you feel great. But be safe. Don't hop into any stranger's car, or you might end up chopped up in a bag by morning."

"I wouldn't do that..." Hoseok said. The younger was giving him the creeps.

"Good. And take off that choker before you leave."

Hoseok stood stiffly in front of a gay club, holding on to his phone. He had been standing there about five minutes, staring at the door. People going in and out. A muffled sound of a bass echoed to the streets. He almost chickened out, but the bouncer spoke up, startling him.

"You wanna go in?"

Hoseok opened his mouth, trying to form words.

"I... uh, no... I mean... yes!"

The bouncer shook his head, looking a bit amused. He opened the door for him. "Then go on, kid, I don't like seeing you wondering these streets alone."

Hoseok's mind was in a haze. He awkwardly bowed at the other, who opened the door for him, and got in.

The bass sound was clearer in the hall, but it felt even louder inside the actual club. Hoseok had always hated the bass. And nightclubs. So many people stuffed in one place. All the loud noices, people being too drunk, kissing, grinding against each other.

He took a deep breath, eyeing the crowd, trying to find somewhere to sit. He already got looks from several men, but he didn't notice, he was too busy with his thoughts spiraling. He spotted the bar and started heading towards it.

It felt much more relaxed at the bar area. It was crowded by people, but had a different athmosphere than the dance floor.

He saw comfy couches on the right, and thought he could sit there for a moment. He instantly changed his mind, when he saw two guys sitting there. The dark haired one was really cute, but he was so buff Hoseok felt intimitated by him. The other had a bleach blond hair, and he looked like he fucking owned the place. He was scaring the shit out of Hoseok with just his presence.

Still, his gaze lingered on the blonde, and he realised the other was looking back at him, while talking with his friend. The guy's face showed no emotion whatsoever. But Hoseok wasn't blind. Right away, he noticed the blonde was basically eye fucking him.

Hoseok quickly broke the stare between them. He definitely wasn't looking for a one night stand.

Min Yoongi couldn't take his eyes off the breathtaking creature he had just spotted walking by. The slim body, ripped black jeans and a breezy, white blouse. Golden brown hair, perfectly tousled. Those innocent yet slightly seductive looking eyes that the creature had laid on him for a moment, before continuing his way.

"Jungkook", he said, cutting off his friend's rambling about love and life and whatnot.

"Yeah?" the other was slightly offended.

"Tell me", Yoongi began, leaning forward, "who's that guy?" He pointed towards Hoseok, who was now sitting at the bar, ordering a drink.

"Which one?"

"The cute one."

Jungkook raised his brows, trying to figure out who his friend was talking about, since the bar was full of cute guys.

"I don't know who -"

"The one with that elegant looking blouse. See him? The one who looks like a fucking angel."

"Oh", Jungkook spotted Yoongi's prey of the night. "The one with the choker?"

"He has a choker? Holy shit that's my biggest kink."

"I really didn't need to know that."

"I've never seen him here before", Yoongi said, he couldn't stop staring at the stranger, who was now seemingly laughing at something the bartender said.

Jungkook knew his friend too well not to know exactly what that intense stare meant.

"It's settled", Yoongi said and gulped down his shot. "I'm going to fuck him tonight."
