Chapter Text

Kim Seokjin was the envy of so many people in his small town. Men and women alike lusted after him as soon as he hit puberty.

He only had one longtime boyfriend in his life.

Jin was flabbergasted by his request.
So he had to ask him what he said just to be sure.
"P-pardon? Can you please repeat what you said?"

"Will you please go out with me? On a date."

"Me? You want to take me out on a date?"

Jungkook nearly jumped for joy, but kept his cool.
He then asked for his number so he could call him with his final plans.

So Jin handed his phone to him and Jungkook entered his number into it.
When he handed it back to him, he called it from his phone to test it.

Until Jungkook finally told him that he had to leave but will call him soon.

Jin nodded and returned to doing his job.
His uncle had watched their interaction and just smiled to himself. He knows all about the Jeon family.

They are well known around Seoul and are indeed very wealthy. One of the most influential people in Korea.

Jungkook called Jin that night and invited him out for dinner on Friday night.

"I'm sorry Jungkook, I don't know if maybe you have to get up early tomorrow and I am keeping you out."

Jungkook was completely surprised to see Jin waiting for him and helped him carry all the containers of food inside.
He laid everything out and told Jungkook to go freshen up and when he returns his dinner will be waiting.

They then walked to the media room where Jungkook had a projector screen set up.
He controlled everything from a large remote.

The sofa had theater seating which were big and plush, and the topper was it had cup holders.

They got cozy and soon picked out a movie to watch.

During dinner, Jin slid a paper towards him and Jungkook took it in his hands confused.

But Jin watched as a huge smile appeared on his face and then looked up at Jin.
Then with tears in his eyes he asked him,
"Babe, you're pregnant?"

Jin nodded his head and Jungkook jumped up and lifted him off the chair and kissed him all over his face.
"Thank you baby. I love you. I love you. I love you!"

Jin giggled as he was being swung back and forth like a bell.
"So you're happy you're going to be a papa?"

Jungkook laughed through his tears and said,
"Hell yeah! I love you baby and our baby will be loved so much. Not just by us, but by everyone."

"I'm glad. Cause I'm happy too."

After a love filled night, they told Jungkook's family the news the next day.
And just as expected they were ecstatic.

So the next few months were spent setting up one of the bedrooms as a nursery for their son.
Jungkook spoiled his husband and wouldn't let him lift a finger. He even took the last two months of his pregnancy to work from home.
He didn't want to miss a thing.

Jungkook laid his head on Jin's lap as he talked to his son.

Jin just listened to him and giggled at every lie Jungkook told their son.
"And then when I was in 5th grade, after I won the spelling bee in the entire city, I beat up a giant who lived in the gardeners shack.
He was 12 feet tall and weighed over three hundred pounds."

"Kookie! Quit lying so much to our baby boy."

"Shh.. I'm trying to paint his papa as a brave and smart man. Someone he will be proud of."

The next morning after they ate breakfast, Jungkook got a phone call from his mother.
"Jungkook-ah, Taehyung-ie called and asked if someone could pick him up from the airport, but I am at the nail salon and your father's phone battery is dead.
He's waiting outside in the car.

Do you think you can go for him?
Or should I keep trying to reach Joonie?"

"Do you think you will be ok until I get back?"

Jin nods and tells him 'yes' then keeps his phone in his pocket in case of emergency.

Jungkook hesitates but Jin convinces him to go.
So he reluctantly agrees to go pick him up.
"No eomma, I will go. Just send me his gate and flight number. I am leaving now."

Jungkook then kisses Jin and then their son before heading over to the door where he slips his shoes on.
"I'll be right back love."

Jin then decides to go take a shower before Jungkook's brother arrives.
Since it'll be their first meeting.

He makes his way slowly up the stairs and walks into their bedroom.
When he's finished showering he walks over to the walk in closet and finds something comfortable to wear.

He knows he's meeting Jungkook's brother but he still wants to be comfy.
He finds a black pair of pajama bottoms and a black v-neck.
Then he slides his slippers back onto his feet.
And starts heading downstairs.

He is halfway down the stairs when he suddenly slips and tumbles down the last few steps.

He cries out loud for help but no one is around to hear him.
He searches for his phone but it slipped out of his hands as he tried to grip onto the rails.

He cries even louder and then he feels a sharp pain that knocks him out.
A few minutes later, Jungkook walks in carrying some of his brothers luggage and he sees a horrifying sight.

He rushes over to where his husband is laying and isn't responding to him.
He calls 911 and tries to lift Jin in his arms but his brother tells him to be careful cause he could be causing more damage to him.

Jungkook looks down and sees the large puddle of blood and he instantly knows that it's not a good sign.
The ambulance arrives and quickly rush over to help him.

They carefully place him on the gurney and take him to the ambulance.
Jungkook and his brother Tae follow behind and arrive at the hospital right after the ambulance.

It takes 3 security guards to hold Jungkook back from going into the O.R. to check on his husband and baby.
Tae meanwhile calls the rest of the family to let them know what happened.

About an hour later the doctor comes out looking solemn.
Jungkook runs over to him to ask what's happening.

"Mr. Jeon, we tried everything in our power to save your son, but he suffered a placental abruption when your husband fell. He landed in a way that the placenta was ripped apart from his womb and that denied him oxygen and basic nutrients. The loss of blood was severe and we almost lost your husband too.
He crashed twice on the operating table.
But we saved him and supplied him with blood transfusions.

I am so sorry. I wish I had better news, but we tried so hard." The doctor watched as Jungkook took the news.

He then fell to his knees and Taehyung rushed over to help his little brother.
The doctor explained what happened and then excused himself.

Tae helped lift Jungkook off the floor and helped sit him down on the chair.
Jungkook stared into space and didn't say a word.

Then a nurse called for him to come into the room.
She told him that they could hold their son and say their goodbyes before they take him away.

So Taehyung walked with him inside and the scene before them was heartbreaking. As they were walking in Jin was laying in bed with his eyes closed and their baby was being held by a nurse right next to him.
But he suddenly stirred awake and cried out in pain.

He then looked around and saw the nurse carrying a baby.
You could see how his mind was realizing that his baby wasn't breathing and he cried out in agony.

Jungkook ran over to him and jumped into bed with him.
He held him tight as Jin tried to beat his stomach.
"No, no no no. Please God no! Not my baby!"

Jungkook tried to calm him down.
But Jin tried to push him away and cried out,
"I want my baby. He was fine. Why? My baby.. my baby."

The nurse doesn't know if she should hand their baby over to them with Jin being hysterical.
"Kookie! Kookie, our baby. Our baby is gone!
Please bring him back to me. Please!"

Jungkook could only hold him until his wailing died down.
Taehyung stood on the side of the room, just taking in the whole situation.
He feels terrible that his baby brother lost his first child.
And especially feels worse for his poor husband.

When the nurse feels like Jin has calmed down enough, she slowly makes her way over to them and motions for Jungkook to grab hold of his baby.

But it's Jin who reaches out and carries him.
He looks down at his sweet baby who is already turning blue and is cold to the touch.
His tears fall on the tiny body, and he starts to cry again.

He brings him closer to his chest and talks to him.
"My angel, Appa is so sorry. I'm so sorry for not being good enough to bring you into this world.
I don't know what wrong I did but I am so sorry baby."

"Sweetheart, don't blame yourself." Jungkook whispers.

But Jin just continues to apologize while kissing him softly.
Taehyung's heart is breaking for his brother-in-law.
He can see how much he wanted their baby.

"Kookie, do you want to hold our son?"

Jungkook nods and reaches out for his baby.
Holding him in his arms, and feeling how cold he is, he finally realizes that his baby is really gone.
He had so many plans for them as he grew up.
Now he'll have to plan his funeral instead.

As Taehyung watches on he hears a knock on the door.
So he walks over to open it.
And sees his entire family, and they already look devastated. He opens the door wider as he hugs each one of them and they slowly make their way inside the room.

Jungkook and Jin look up at them and Jin immediately starts wailing once again.
Jungkook's mother ran to his side and held him in her arms. He held onto her for dear life and said,
"I'm so sorry. Your grandbaby is gone. I wasn't good enough to bring him into this cruel world."

She moved back and took his face into her hands and said,
"Now you stop that. What happened was not your fault.
Accidents happen all the time and we can't control the outcome no matter how hard we try.
I know, we all know how much you love and wanted your son to be born.
But God wasn't ready to let him go just yet.

He wanted the little angel to stay by his side longer.
I don't want you to blame yourself for any of this.
Do you hear me?

And don't forget that you have a husband who loves you deeply and loving family who will always be there whenever you need anything.
Just call and we'll come running to you."

Jin is sniffling into her shoulder but she feels him nodding.
They all spend the next hour holding the baby and saying their own goodbyes.

That is when Jin first notices his brother-in-law.
Taehyung walks closer to the bed and introduces himself.

"Hello, I'm Taehyung. Jungkook's older brother.
I am so sorry we had to meet under these circumstances.
I want you to know that you can count on me for anything.
I will be there for you both."

Jin tries to smile but it was fruitless and Tae told him he understands that he can't speak at the moment.
So Jin falls into his husband's arms.

After they returned the baby back to Jin, the nurse returned with the doctor.
"We're really sorry, but it really is time that we take your son now. He will be treated well, so please don't worry."

Jin turns frantically towards Jungkook and shakes his head.
"No.. no Kookie, I can't let him go.
He'll really be gone then."

Jungkook chokes out, "Baby please. We have to say goodbye to him now.
We will see him again. And when we're gone from this world he will welcome us to heaven."

"No! I won't let him go. You can't make me." He yells out.
Then pleadingly he says, "Please, I just can't let him go."

The doctor motions for the nurse to administer something to his IV drip as Jungkook slowly tries to take the baby from Jin's arms.

Jin keeps fighting them as they try to rip him out of his arms until he slowly loses his fight.
The last thing he sees is Jungkook's face as he takes their son away from him forever..

Jin remains in the hospital for two more days and hasn't spoken a word to anyone.
Jungkook has tried everything but Jin just stares out the window. He hasn't eaten, so the nurse has nutrients administered through the IV drip as well.

When it's time to go, Jin doesn't want Jungkook to touch him so Jimin is the one who helps him get dressed and then Joonie pushes his wheelchair.

When they approach the house Jin starts crying and says he doesn't want to return to that house anymore.
Jungkook is heartbroken and doesn't know what to do.
But he knows that he needs to walk into the house where they planned their lives.

Jimin helps him by convincing him that he is doing more harm to himself by avoiding the house.
So he finally makes his way inside.

The entire house has been cleaned spotless and the stairs had stair treads installed. He frowns looking at them.
Jimin helps him into his bedroom with Jungkook following behind them.

He still tries to get him to talk to him but Jin doesn't acknowledge him.
So he walks out and down the stairs.

"You know you're not being fair to your husband.
He lost his son too. He is desperately hurting right now and really needs to be with his husband."

Jin's lips quiver because he knows he's hurting him.
But he just can't help how he feels right now.
And he hates himself for treating him that way because he loves him so much.

"I.. I k-know Jimin. I don't know why I do it.
I just can't handle the thought of him touching me right now. I can't understand why."

Jimin is struggling to understand. But he has no idea what he's going through.
So all he can really do is just try to comfort him.
He stays with him for a while until he falls asleep.

Then he makes his way downstairs to where Jungkook and Joonie are.
When Jungkook sees him he asks if Jin is ok.

"He's fine right now. I left him sleeping peacefully."

Jungkook then sits back on the sofa and sighs.
"I wish I knew how to help him. But he doesn't want to even talk to me right now.
And I'm going crazy worrying about him, all while dealing with plans to bury our son."

Joonie sits next to him and wraps his arm around his shoulder and says,
"He's traumatized by what happened to him.
And maybe his mind is connecting you somehow to the loss of the baby.
Maybe it's a coping mechanism for him and he just needs time to accept that you're not to blame."

"But I'm suffering too Joonie! I need to be with my husband. I want to feel his arms around me so we can comfort each other.
But instead I get dead silence from him."

He then starts crying and Joonie pulls him into his arms.
"I know it's hard Kook. And I know that you lost your son.
And we shouldn't think of your pain is any less than his.
But he did carry him for months and felt him grow.
He felt his first movements and kicks."

"I know that but.."

"What I'm trying to say is just give him time.
If he doesn't get better soon, then maybe take him to get professional help."

Jungkook then continues to cry in his big brothers arms.
Releasing all the pent up agony he's been holding in since he first found Jin laying in a pool of blood.

After a couple of hours of talking and making plans for the baby's burial, he tells them that he'll be ok and that they can go home for now.

They are reluctant to leave them alone together, especially knowing they're not in the best state right now.
But they leave on the condition that he calls them if he needs help with Jin or with anything else.

He agrees and walks them to the door.
Once they're gone he makes his way upstairs and checks on his husband.
And finds him still sleeping peacefully.

So he leans down to kiss his cheek before walking back out of the room.
He then takes a deep breath and walks towards the nursery.

He walks in and over to the baby's crib.
He picks up the tiny baby pillow that Jin had picked out for their angel.

He brings it to his nose and it smells like a brand new pillow, instead of new baby.
And he loses it. He crumbles to the floor and cries his heart out for his poor son.
The son he was so excited to meet but now never will.
He lays on the floor, unable to move as he cries.
Until sleep finds him.

He wakes up a while later in a darkened room.
And he panics. So he jumps up and rushes off to check on Jin and finds him still sleeping.

He checks the time and sees it is already dinner time.
So he goes downstairs to try to find something for Jin to eat and as he walks into the kitchen he hears the doorbell.

He walks over to open it and sees his brother Taehyung.
He's carrying large containers of food and motions for Jungkook to help him carry them inside.

"Eomma had the maids make y'all something to eat.
She knows that neither of y'all are in the right state to cook." He says with a smile.

Jungkook looks at his brother and smiles back.
"Thanks alot Tae. You're a lifesaver."

"I'm just the delivery guy. Nothing else."

"Something smells delicious."

They both turn around to see Jin at the archway leading into the kitchen.
He looks groggy and is rubbing his eyes.

He doesn't realize it but he just made both their hearts do a major flip.
Which surprised Taehyung.
He can't keep his eyes off of his brother-in-law as he walks closer to the containers of food.

"Do you mind if I get some?" Jin asks Tae.

When he doesn't get a response, he turns to face him and sees him staring at him.

Jin stares right back wondering what is wrong with his brother-in-law.
He sure is handsome though..

The day came when they had to bury their baby angel.
It is only then that Jin allows Jungkook to touch him and they stand united at the service and again at his final resting place. Jungkook can feel Jin shaking under his arms as they're wrapped around his waist.

Throughout the service he could feel how much Jin struggled to remain calm.

He then winks at Tae, dropping the hint.

He laughs and asks if they brought swimsuits.
Jimin pulls up a small gym bag that contains their swim trunks and towels, along with extra clothes.

They all then walk outside after Tae, Jin and Jimin change into their swim trunks.
Jin says he's still not 100% so he'll just watch them for a while. Tae turns on the outdoor sound system and soon they're splashing around having so much fun.

Jin had taken a couple more aspirin earlier and was slowly starting to feel better.
But wasn't quite ready to join them yet.

He's been watching Tae's sun kissed skin as he swims back and forth.
When he hears his chuckling he decides he wants to join.

He stands up and walks over to the edge of the pool and asks him, "Tae, do you have an extra pair of trunks?
Or even some shorts."

Tae climbs out and tells the other two that he'll be right back. They barely pay attention to them as Joonie corners Jimin and starts kissing all over his face.

He shakes off the excess water and starts walking inside.
They walk together into his bedroom and he finds a pair of trunks and tells him he'll wait for him by the patio door.

Jin then goes into the bathroom to change his clothes.
Before he walks out he grabs an extra towel and heads out.

He exits the bedroom and makes his way back to the pool area. He stops dead in his tracks as he walks towards the patio door.

He sees Tae standing in the middle of the door with his arms stretched out as he holds onto the top of the door.
He can hear him laugh at something going on outside.

The closer he gets, the stronger the urge to go behind him and hug him.
So he can only admire the long strong legs, and his plush ass. Cause he does have a nice ass.

His waist is narrow and his back is smooth and God, he needs to stop this.

When he gets near enough he calls out to Tae.
Tae smiles then reaches his hand out for his and they walk outside together.
Tae runs and does a cannonball while Jin just jumps in.

They swim around for a while and they then decide to play chicken fight.
Jin sits on top of Tae's shoulders and Jimin on top of Joonie's.

Jimin then yells out to Jin,
"Jinnie I love you, but this is war. And you're going down."

After a very tense battle, Jimin did indeed win with his nimble movements.
Jin fell backwards into the water and sank himself.

Tae swam after him when he saw him sink to the bottom of the pool.
"Why are you drowning yourself?"

Jin wiped the water from his eyes and said,
"I just couldn't handle the fact that I lost to Jimin."

Jimin blew him a kiss from across the pool.
Tae just laughs as Jin swims over to Jimin and chases him around the pool.

Time flew by and before they knew it the sun was setting.
And the outdoor lights automatically turned on.

They all climbed out and took turns in the showers and getting dressed.
After that they ordered food and watched a movie.

At around 10pm, Joonie and Jimin said their goodbyes and were soon gone.
Jin helped Tae clean up and then told him that he should be going home too.

Tae didn't want him to go, but he knew that he had no right to ask him to stay again.
So Jin finally left and drove to his own home nearby.

When he walked in, it was dark and gloomy.
Everything was just as he left it and he wondered if Jungkook even came home last night.

He gets his answer when he walks into the bedroom and sees the bed was unmade.
He obviously slept in it and didn't bother to make it.

He opened his closet to look for his pajamas and noticed that more of Jungkook's clothes have disappeared.
He's been noticing that his side of the closet looks thinner and thinner every day.

He changes his clothes and lays down in the bed.
He tries to get a whiff of his scent on the pillows, but it is very faint.
And he swears he can smell that same perfume again.

He starts to panic and thoughts of his husband having an affair, and it could actually be a possibility.
He has to sit up in bed to breathe properly cause he is hyperventilating.

He passes out and falls back onto the bed.

He wakes up the next morning and wonders what happened. Then he remembers the perfume.

He starts crying and worries he's going to lose his husband.
After a good, long cry he goes to get showered and dressed.

He dresses in one of Jungkook's shirts and his own pants.
He fixes his hair and face perfectly and after a quick breakfast, he drives over to visit his husband at work.

When he arrives he takes the elevator to the top floor.
Then he walks closer to his door.
He sees his secretary at her desk and she's busy typing away on her computer.

He can see a huge hickey on her neck, and he frowns.
Thinking it looks tacky to show that at her workplace.

When he walks up to her desk and she looks up at him, her eyes fly wide open.
She stands up and says,
"Mr. Jeon, what a surprise to see you.
Are you here to see your husband?"

"Yes, but please don't announce me. I want to surprise him." He replies with a smile.

She smiles back nervously and watches as he walks towards his door and walks inside.

Jungkook is beyond shocked to see his husband in his office. He expected to see his secretary again.

"Jin... what are you doing here?" He asks.

Jin walks closer to the desk and sits in the chair in front of the desk.
"I just wanted to see my husband. It's been months Jungkook. We haven't seen or spoken to each other in months. Don't you miss me?"

Jin feels the coldness coming from his husband.
He doesn't feel the loving feeling he used to get.
Or see the love in his eyes that was only for him.

"How can you ask me that Jin?
But from what I can remember, you wanted to be left alone.
So I was just doing as you asked."

Jin's heart was breaking by the tone he used.

"But you stayed away. You never came back to give me the chance to apologize to you.
That night you left I felt so bad and wanted to run after you.
But you were already gone.

And every time I waited up for you, you made sure to leave so you wouldn't see me.
I am so sorry Kookie, for everything that I put you through, but I didn't know how to deal with everything.
I took it all out on you and I'm so sorry."
He was crying hard, hoping Jungkook would accept his apology.

But Jungkook just sat in his seat, watching his poor husband break down in front of him.
A part of him wanted to go over to him and comfort him.

But part of him that is still bitter chose not to.
He waited until Jin stopped crying and when Jin looked at him he said,
"Jin, I appreciate that you apologized. Really I do.
But I don't have time to deal with our problems right now.
I'm in the middle of my work."

Jin stood up and raised his voice.
"So you're going to keep your distance from me?
For how long? Are you going to ask for a divorce?"

The thought of a divorce never crossed his mind.
He'd be a fool to let him go, just so someone else can enjoy his beautiful husband.

"Don't be ridiculous Jin. I would never ask you for a divorce. But we do have serious problems that can't be dealt with by one apology."

Jin is sniffling and he asks him,
"So will you be home on time today?"

Jungkook realizes that Jin misses him, and will be waiting for him.
So he decides to make him wait.

"I will really try, but I can't make promises."
He replies coldly.

Jin doesn't even recognize the man in front of him.
The Kookie he knows has always been very loving and caring.
He continues looking into his eyes, hoping to see a hint of the love they shared. But sees nothing.

So he nods and stands up and heads for the door.
He expects him to at least walk him to the door but he remains seated.

So he walks out and walks past the secretary.
As he passes her desk, he takes in the scent surrounding her and recognizes it.

He walks towards the elevator and waits a while.
He then peeks around the corner towards Jungkook's door and sees him walk out.

What he sees next shatters what is left of his heart.
And he loses any hope of saving their relationship.

He sees as Jungkook walks out of his office, his secretary walks over to him and he wraps his arms around her.
They kiss passionately as his hands rub on her ass.

Jin has seen enough and as soon as the elevator opens he runs into and rushes out of the building..

Chapter Text

Jin went home that night and he was in a manic state.
He sat down on the sofa, then jumped off.
Walked to the kitchen and forgot why he went in there for.
Then went back to the sofa and sat there and stared into an empty space until the sun went down.

He stayed in the same spot until the sun came up, never having slept a wink.
He still expected Jungkook to at least come home to sleep, but he never showed up.

He must really love that girl if he's been with her for so long. They're maybe together even longer than when they first dated and then engaged.
Would he have proposed to the girl if he wasn't already married? Should he offer the divorce to let him live a happy life with her?

He thinks back to before the tragedy.
They used to be happy. Really happy together.
Until he lost their baby and ruined everything between them. Now he lost everything that he loved.

Maybe he deserves to be miserable..
He couldn't even bring a healthy baby into the world.
Yeah, it's what he deserves.

Taehyung has been calling Jin since yesterday afternoon and he hasn't answered.
Now it's going straight to voicemail and he's really worried.

He arrives at his house and has been knocking and no answer. He knows he's home since his car is outside.

So he walks around the house, hoping to find an open window.
And when he walks to the back of the house, he finds the patio door wide open and only the screen door shut.

He easily makes his way inside and finds Jin on the sofa.
The state he sees him in immediately worries him.

He's rocking himself back and forth with fresh and dried tears on his face.
He's looking straight ahead and doesn't even recognize that he's right in front of him.

He calls out to him but he doesn't respond to him.
He lightly taps his face, maybe he'll snap out of it.
But nothing.

After a good while of trying to call him he is really freaking out, so he lifts him up so easily and carries him to his shower upstairs.

He turns on the shower and checks the temperature.
As he waits for it to get warm he looks at Jin and he's still mumbling to himself and silently crying.

When he sees the water is perfect, he walks in fully clothed and brings Jin in with him.
The water falls over them and Tae continues to call out to him. Jin can hear someone calling his name in a distance, but he can't figure out who it is.

It takes a few minutes longer under the water spray and Tae slapping him, but he slowly starts to come out of it.

He shakes his head to get out of the water and asks,
"Tae? Taetae?"

"Yes baby, it's me. You really scared me half to death."

Jin then holds onto his shoulders tight and starts crying as he looks into his eyes.

"Oh God Tae. Tae!" He leans his head on his shoulder.
He continues crying as Tae tries to coax whatever it is that's bothering him.

"What is it angel? What happened to you?"

Jin moved his head back to face him and cried out,
"I saw them Tae! I saw them."

Tae furrows his brows and questions him,
"Who? Who did you see?"

Jin's lip starts to quiver and he says,
"Kookie.. I saw him kissing his secretary."

The water suddenly felt ice cold and he started to walk them out of the shower.

He helped remove Jin's wet clothes and left him in his bathrobe as he searched for his clothes.
He found a pair of warm, fluffy jammies.

He helped him put on his underwear, without looking at him, which was very difficult.
And then helped him into his pajamas.

He walked him to his bed and laid him down and covered him up.
He was about to go steal some of Jungkook's clothes again but Jin held onto his wrist.

"Don't go please."

Tae leaned down to connect their foreheads and when he moved back he whispered,
"I'm just going to change my clothes, ok.
I'll be right back."

Jin then slowly nods and releases his wrist.
He then digs around and finds some sweats and a t-shirt.
He didn't have any underwear so he remained commando.

When he was done he came back to the bed and laid beside Jin and pulled him closer to him.

Jin laid his head on his chest and his hand under his cheek.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Jin shook his head and said,
"Not right now, I'm really sleepy. K?

He was asleep before Tae could answer as Tae could feel his breathing on his chest.

Tae laid there with Jin in his arms until he fell asleep.
He couldn't believe that Jin witnessed Jungkook and his slutty secretary.

The next morning at Jungkook's mistress's apartment.

Jungkook woke up to the sound of his secretary vomiting in the bathroom.
He slowly sits up and wipes the sleep from his eyes.

After a couple of minutes he sees her walk back to the bed and lays down looking miserable.
He lays down next to her and hugs her close.

"What's wrong? You're not feeling good?"

She shakes her head and says,
"I don't know what it is. I just woke up feeling like shit.
I barely made it to the toilet to puke."

He laughs and says,
"Maybe it was something you ate yesterday.
It reminds me of when my husband was pregnant.
He would wake up and run to the bathroom every morning when he first found out."

Both of their eyes shot open and Jungkook quickly sat up.
"Y-you don't think you're pregnant do you?"
He stands up looking at her.

She slowly sits up, still feeling nauseated.
"I-I honestly don't know. I was on the pill but there are times I forget."

"You forget?! Are you fucking stupid or something?"

She is shocked at his behavior towards her and says,
"I'm stupid?! How often have you worn a condom?
Huh? Never, that's when. You always like to fuck me raw cause you like feeling everything better."

He starts pacing back and forth, and starts to think of the consequences of his love child.
Jin will be devastated for sure after losing their baby.
He could never ask him to raise his illegitimate child.

"We need to find out for sure if you are or not.
Let's get dressed and go see a doctor."

While at Jin's house, he wakes up feeling safe in Tae's arms.
He lays on his back and starts remembering about seeing Jungkook with his whore.
And he starts crying again.

Tae wakes up in a fright wondering who's crying.
When he looks to his side and sees Jin with his hands covering his face and hears him wailing, he pulls him closer to him again.

Letting him cry as much as he wants.
After a good long while, he hears him sniffling so he leans down to kiss his temple.

"I'm really sorry about what you're going through Jinnie.
If I could, I would absorb all your pain so I could see you smile happily."

Jin doesn't say anything, he just lays there until he feels ready to talk.

"I know that I really hurt him, by shutting him out.
But I honestly never imagined that he'd hurt me back like this.
I thought he really loved me.

If you could have seen him on our wedding day, he had to constantly drink water to keep hydrated so his teeth wouldn't dry out from smiling so much."

"I wish I could have been there, but I did see the love in his eyes when he talked about you.
When he picked me up from the airport, he told me, 'Wait til you meet him Tae, he will blow your mind.
He is the most perfect man in the history of all mankind.'
And he kept on and on."

"And then I ruined it all that same night."

Tae sat up and pulled him with him.
"No Jin, what happened was not your fault so you need to stop thinking that way.
I don't know why it happened but it was not yours or Jungkook's or anyone else's fault.

And whatever happened to your psyche afterwards, was beyond your control as well.
He should've understood that and been patient.

I don't know what possessed him to do what he did with that.. that whatever.
But you will get through this. Ok. Have faith in that.
Even if it's not with him anymore."

Jin laughed mirthlessly and said,
"Yeah, there's no coming back from something like that.
The way they acted together only happens after months of intimacy. And the way he spoke to me..
I will never forget the loveless look in his eyes."

He laughs again and with a whimper he continues,
"Any love he had for me is gone, so..
I will give him his freedom.
I even asked him if he was going to ask for a divorce and he said he would never do that. But I would."

Tae held onto his hands and said,
"Whatever you decide, I will be there for you.
And if you choose to ask for a divorce, then just know that if you need a place to stay you can stay with me.
My place is large enough for both of us."

Jin laid his head on his shoulder and held onto him tight.
"Thank Taetae, that means so much to me.
And I know that it can't be easy for you to do, since he's your brother."

"Yes, but you are like my best friend.
And I care about you so much.
I know we have only known each other a few months, but ever since I met you my life has been so full of life.
You're like my ray of sunshine on a gloomy day."

"I feel the same way Tae, having you around has really helped me heal mentally.
Not completely, cause you know I can't just get over something like that.

But I am better than I was right after.
I must've been a real monster to him.
I still can't believe he could easily start an affair when he was supposed to be mourning too.

I guess that's the difference between us.
I'm glad I saw it for myself though cause if someone had just told me they saw him with someone else, I don't know if I would've believed it."

When both their stomachs start to growl, Tae asks him if he wants to go downstairs to eat breakfast.

He keeps an eye on him as he walks cause he seems wobbly on his feet.
They go to the fridge and take out a few ingredients.
But as Tae turns his back to grab a pan Jin suddenly falls to the ground.

He is really dizzy and when he tries to get up he doesn't have the strength to hold himself up.
So Tae sits him down on the chair and asks him to wait.

He then runs upstairs and get clothes for them both and runs back downstairs.
He helps Jin get dressed again as he struggles to stay straight. Once he's finished getting them both dressed he walks them to his car and drives to the doctors office.

Luckily they see him right away when they first arrive.
He goes into the room with him as the doctor does a quick examination on Jin.

Tae answers most of the questions, and quietly tells him of all the stress and trauma he's suffered through in the past few months.

And tells him that he witnessed something traumatic the day before yesterday and he's not sure if he's eaten anything in all that time.

The doctor evaluates him and tells Tae that he is severely dehydrated and he has an empty stomach.
He places his stethoscope on his belly and tells Tae that if he had any food in his stomach, he would hear normal digestion in his GI tract.

"I'm going to administer an IV line on him that will have nutrients and will help hydrate him.
You can then take him home after that.

But from what you told me earlier, I suggest that you get him some help.
He needs professional help so he can deal with the loss of his child, and maybe his marriage.

Without help, he will probably continue to not take care of himself and you could find him one day in worse condition.
If you'd like, I could recommend someone."

"Yes, thank you so much."

The nurse comes in as Jin is laying on the examination table and hooks him up to an IV while Tae sits next to him.
He is so worried about him that he isn't taking care of himself as well.

After about 20 minutes of silence, Jin finally starts to feel a little bit better.
So he asks Tae, "TaeTae, I thought about it and I think I'd like to take you up on your offer.
I don't want to be with Jungkook anymore.

He looked really happy yesterday with that girl, and I don't want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with me."

Tae felt a burst of joy and he smiled widely,
"Of course Jinnie.. we can start moving some of your things today if you'd like."

He then reaches for Jin's hand, who then looks at him.
"I just don't know how to break the news to your parents.
They have been so good to me and they don't know about any of the problems we've been having."

"Try not to worry about them right now.
And I can be there with you when you tell them.
I will help you explain what happened."

Jin smiles and nods, "Thanks Taetae."

After an hour, the doctor and nurse returned.
She removed the IV and the doctor asked how he was feeling now.

"I'm really hungry now." He replies.

The doctor laughs and says,
"I can imagine so. Please try to take better care of yourself.
I know you suffered a miscarriage recently, but if you ever want to have children in the future, then I suggest you take care of your health. Ok."

"Yes doctor, I will."

The doctor then gives him a card for a psychiatrist that he thinks Jin needs to see. For his mental health.

They thank the doctor and walk out of the doctors office.
As they're walking along, making plans to go eat somewhere they see Jungkook and his mistress.

They have their backs to them but they can hear their conversation clearly.

"I don't know what you expect of me.
I didn't make this by myself you know." She says.

"Fuck! I know that.. but I'm fucking married."

"I know that! But you're going to be a father now so you need to figure out what you plan to do."

Jin gasps out and that causes them both to turn around.
Jungkook's eyes have never been so huge.
While the secretary looks pretty smug.

Jin tells Tae to take him away from there and starts walking away from them.
Jungkook tries calling out for him,
"Jin! Jinnie wait! I can explain!"

When he tries running after them, his secretary holds onto his arm and yells,
"You're not going to leave me alone like this right now."

He pulls his arm away and glares at her, then runs towards his car, hoping he'll catch up to them..

Chapter Text

Jin asks Tae to take him home so he can pack whatever he can and then go stay at his house.

He goes to search for the luggage and can only find the biggest ones.
Then it hits him, all the missing clothes and never being home. He's been staying with his mistress.

He is in a rage and furiously starts packing everything he can find from his side of the closet.
Tae helps grab his toiletries from the bathroom and packs them into one of the smaller bags.

They suddenly hear Jungkook calling out for him.
And then hear his loud footsteps as he runs upstairs.

He busts through the door and sees Jin and Tae packing.
He can't allow this to happen.

"What do you think you're doing Jin?
Baby, please.. let's just talk about this, ok?"

When Jin doesn't answer and continues going through every drawer and grabbing his things, he walks over to him and makes him face him.

But Jin gets out of his hold, he tries to move past him.
Jungkook stands in his way and says,
"Baby, I love you. If you-"

SLAP!!

"Don't fucking tell me you love me when you've gotten your whore pregnant!"

Jungkook holds his cheek and turns to his brother.
"Tae, can you please give us a minute?"

Tae looks at Jin and Jin nods at him that it's ok.
So he slowly walks out of the room, but stays nearby.

Once he was gone, Jungkook turned to Jin and said,
"Look, I know we've been through some difficult times.
But we can work on them, and we can fix them."

"Are you out of your fucking mind?!
What the hell makes you think that I will stay with a cheating bastard like you?"

"I.. it was... baby... I-I know I made a mistake, but I wasn't thinking straight.
I was hurt at the time, and she helped me feel better."

"By sticking your dick in her?! Seriously?"

"I didn't mean for it to happen, but you had told me you wanted to be alone so I tried giving you your space.
I didn't go out with the intention of sleeping with anyone else. But I was in pain."

"And what do you think I was in? Huh? I was in agony.
I had just lost our son, and I know that I pushed you away.
But if you had just held on a bit longer, I would have gotten better. But you.. you go out and fuck your secretary!

We had an argument! One big argument and you saw it as an excuse to fuck some whore.
And that was months ago Jungkook. Months!
That's how long you've been gone, and I know you've been staying with her cause all your clothes are gone!

I have been here alone at nights because you were living it up with that whore at her place.
Do you think I wouldn't notice the missing clothes?!
The missing luggage?

And now she's pregnant! Well congratulations.

I'm leaving and you can go be with her with no worries."

He then starts to close the luggage and grabs the handle.
But Jungkook grabs his shoulders and yells at him,
"You're not fucking leaving me! We are just having an argument, like you said before.
And we can work it out together."

"Let me go you sick fucker! I don't want to be with you anymore. You may think that I don't mean it, but look into my eyes Jungkook .
See how over you I am."

He then grabs the luggage and quickly walks out the door.
With Jungkook following closely behind.

Tae is at the top of the stairs and walks over to help carry the luggage.
Jungkook lunges for the luggage handle and Jin almost trips down the stairs.
But Tae holds onto him and sets him safely down.

Tae glares at his brother and says,
"What the fuck Kook? Are you trying to kill him?"

"Why are you even involved with my business Tae?!
This doesn't concern you!"

Jin tells Tae to ignore him and they continue on their way out of the house.
Jungkook is yelling frantically and panicked as he runs behind them all the way to Tae's car.

"What makes you think I'm willing to give you a divorce Jin? I will never sign any papers. You are mine.
And I'll never let you go."

Jin then looks at him before getting in the car and says,
"One way or another, we're getting divorced Jungkook.
There's no fucking way we're staying together."

When he gets in the car they drive away to Tae's house.
As soon as they bring Jin's things inside, Tae places them in the guest room right next to his room.

They then go to his family room where he orders them some long overdue food.
Tae turns on the TV so the background noise can help with the silence.

Tae is sitting with one leg under his butt, and he keeps glancing at Jin.
He hasn't cried anymore and he's concerned.

The food arrives and they both are starving so they eat alot.
When they're finished eating, Jin starts to feel sleepy and he starts yawning.

When Tae notices he pulls him down and lays his head on his lap. Jin mumbles something incoherently and is soon snoring lightly.

Tae runs his fingers through his soft locks and whispers,
"You must be so exhausted baby. But don't worry.
From now on you can count on me for anything."

He relaxes back onto the sofa as he watches TV.
A couple of hours later, he feels Jin stirring and suddenly jump up in a start.

Tae looks at him as he's just looking around the room.
"Are you ok Jinnie?"

Jin turns back to look at him and wipes the drool from his chin then looks down at Tae's pants.
He starts laughing and apologizing.
"I'm so sorry Taetae, but I drooled all over your pants."

Tae looks at the wet spot on his legs and laughs along with him. "It's fine, they can just be washed.
Do you feel a little bit better?"

Jin falls back onto the sofa and says,
"Yeah actually, I feel rested a bit. I'm still a little hungry, but nothing too major."

"Well, we can go somewhere to eat again if you want."

"Maybe later, do you have anything sweet?
Maybe ice cream, cookies? Or even Jello."

"I think I have some ice cream, and maybe some Oreos.
I don't have any Jello, but I do have banana pudding."

"Oh yummy.." he replied.

Tae then went in search of the ice cream and Oreos.
He brought him a bowl filled with ice cream and the package of Oreos.

Jin then ate it happily as he dipped the Oreos in the ice cream as they watched TV.
Occasionally feeding some to Tae.

He was just happy to finally see him smile and laugh.
That night, Tae helped him arrange his things into the closet and drawers.

"We can go shopping tomorrow to get you some new bedding and comfy pillows.
I didn't really plan alot when it came to the guest rooms."

"Ok, sounds good. Also, we can get more groceries since I'll be cooking more often now."

"I can't wait. I love your cooking Jinnie."

They stood close together and as they looked into each other's eyes, Jin replied,
"I wouldn't even know how to go about repaying you for everything you have done for me.
From the beginning of everything that happened since you first arrived.
You have been such a big help to me and I will always be grateful to you."

Tae reached out to caress his cheek as Jin leaned into his hand and said,
"I only want to see you happy. And I will do whatever I can to make it happen."

Jin then walked closer to him and wrapped his arms around his waist and laid his head on his chest.
"You're like my guardian Angel Taetae.
And I love you for it."

Tae wondered if he could hear his heart beating wildly in his chest.

Then Jin moved back and looked into his eyes, as Tae stared right back.
After a few seconds, Jin moved away and walked into the bathroom to finish arranging his toiletries.

When he came back out Tae was standing by the door.
"Ok, well I will leave you alone so you can get some sleep.
If you need anything, just knock on my door. Ok."

Jin nods and then Tae walks out and into his room.
He sits on his bed and tries to calm his crazy beating heart.

Tae's manager told everyone he was an elusive artist, and only does art shows once or twice a year now.

"Are you serious? They know about us?" Jin asked.

"We don't know for sure, but one day we were at their house and eomma kinda hinted around at it.

"Good, glad to hear it. But yeah, he is really pissed.
He feels totally betrayed by both of y'all." Jimin said.

"Jimin pretty much called him a piece of shit.
He was mad that nobody was against the two of you being together." Joonie added.

Jin sat in shock, he wonders if it's true that Tae's parents will be accepting of his relationship with Tae.

"Don't worry too much about it babe.
We can go down there now and talk to them if it makes you feel better about it." Tae told him.

"I'm still kinda worried that they'll hate me.
I'd hate for them to look at me with disgust in their eyes.
They've always been so good to me."

"They love you Jinnie, and they know of all the hardships you've been through.
And they know how wrong Jungkook did you.
I'm sure if Tae did something like that to you too, they'd get pissed off at him too."

After an hour or so, they decided to go pay a visit to Tae's parents house.

When they walked further into the room, they finally noticed them.

When he thinks he's done he stands up to brush his teeth.
He then asks Tae to help him shower because he feels dizzy.

Once they're done and Jin is dressed they're walking out to the kitchen when Jin suddenly faints.

Tae remembers that he fainted before when he was severely dehydrated, so he immediately carries him out to his car.

He then drives him to the nearest hospital.
When they arrived, he carries him inside and he is starting to wake up.

When he does, he feels sick again from the smells in the hospital room and tries to puke.
But his stomach is empty so he's dry heaving again.

The nurse immediately hooks him up to an IV to get him hydrated quicker.
The doctor comes in to examine him and asks Tae questions about his health.

He tells him of his earlier episodes of puking, and also tells him that he's had to be brought in before due to being dehydrated and not eating.

The doctor tells him not to worry yet, that he's most likely experiencing the same problem.
But to be sure he will have some blood drawn and run several tests on him.

But for now, just wait patiently until the IV does its job.
He then excuses himself for a while, and Tae stays by Jin's side, holding his hand.

Jin is laying on the hospital bed with his eyes closed.
Trying to breathe in and out without hurling.

"Baby, please be ok. I love you so much.
It kills me to see you like this."

Jin smiles to himself and squeezes Tae's hand.
"Try not to worry so much Taetae. I haven't been drinking enough water lately.
But I will try to do better from now on, I promise."

Tae lays his head over Jin's hand and replies,
"I really hope that it's not serious. You are my everything, and I need you."

Jin chuckles and removes his hand from his grasp and starts to rub his fingers through Tae's hair.
He's still laying his head down while Jin comforts him.

About an hour later, the nurse and the doctor return to check on him.
The nurse sees that the IV bag is empty now, and the doctor asks if he still feels bad.

Jin tries to sit up with Tae's help and he replies,
"I feel a little bit better, and I'm starving now.
Did you find out what was wrong with me?"

The doctor smiles and says, "I did actually.
And I think that you both will be very happy with the news."

They both look at him, waiting for him to continue.
"You are pregnant Mr. Kim, that's why you have been so sick. And because you have been vomiting so much, you are dehydrated.
You will really need to drink more water from now on.
For the health of your baby."

When Tae turns to look at Jin, his eyes are full of tears.
But he is smiling wide and looks happy.

"Baby? Are you ok?"

Jin nods his head, and his tears fall freely.
"I thought I would never be able to have a child.
But yes, I am fine. Beyond fine. Are you ok?" He asked him.

"Of course I'm ok. The man I love is having my baby.
I am ecstatic!"

Jin giggles at him and the doctor laughs.
"I thought that it would make you happy.
You both look so in love and now with a baby on the way, I know that the love you share will grow exponentially.

You will have to be extra careful with your pregnancy though since you have already suffered a miscarriage.
I would suggest you take it easy during so not to risk anything happening to you."

Tae looks at Jin and says, "That means I will have to take good care of you baby."

"But he just said be careful, not bed confinement like I'm sure you're already thinking about."

The doctor laughs at them and adds, "No, not confinement.
At least not yet. But I will expect to see you regularly so I can monitor yours and your baby's health. Ok?"

"I'll make sure of it doctor." Tae replied.
Jin just smiled at him, just happy that he's pregnant.

They leave the hospital extremely happy and stop to grab some takeaway before heading home.
Making sure to get dessert.

When they arrived home, Tae sat Jin down on the sofa and pulled a table closer to him. That way he could eat properly.

Jin then called Jimin to tell him the news.
As soon as he told him, Jimin screamed excitedly through the phone.

"I'm so happy for you Jinnie. You and Tae will be wonderful parents to that beautiful child you are growing."

"Thanks Chimmy, I am really happy about it too.
We will give birth months apart."

"Yay! Our children will grow up together."

Once they ended their call, Jin asked Tae if he wanted to go visit his parents to give them the news.

"Oh, I asked them to come over here instead.

A couple of hours later, Tae's parents arrived and they all sat down.
They talked about random things for a while, then his mother brought up Jimin's baby.
And how she bought their baby a ton of new clothes already.

That's when Tae thought he would tell them the news.

"We have some news of our own, and that's why we invited you to come over today."

They both looked at him expectantly as he spoke.
"My Jinnie is pregnant.. with my baby."

Both their eyes flew wide open and she gasped in surprise.
"Oh my.. really? You're going to have a baby?
I'm so happy for you Jinnie. And you too son."

She stood up and walked over to him, then sat next to him.
"I'm really glad that you and Tae are moving forward with your lives together.
And when your baby arrives, he or she will be loved by so many people."

The thought that she's welcoming another one of his children, by a different son really warms his heart.

Tae's father hugs him tight too and congratulates him.
"I'm happy for you Taehyung-ah, I have no doubt that you will be an excellent father."

They sit around discussing all sorts of things, and when Tae's father lets it slip that he had gone to visit Jungkook a couple of weeks before, they all react with stiff backs.

"So how is he doing then? Taehyung asks.

"I don't want to bring you down when you're so happy.
I just hope that he finally accepts reality and moves on."

Jin doesn't really have any thoughts on the subject.

Wanting him to rest, so he pulls the covers back, so he can get in and get comfortable.

But when he tries to pull away, Jin pulls him back down and attacks his lips.
Though Tae tried to resist, due to Jin having fainted earlier, he ended up making love to him over and over until he passed out.

Tae just smiled as he watched him sleep.
Then he ran his hand over his protruding belly.
He leans down to kiss it, and whispers,
"Hello angel, I'm your papa. I can't wait to meet you.
I hope you treat your Appa good while you're in there.
He's been through so much already. I love you little baby."
He then fell asleep right after.

About a month later, Jungkook was taking his girlfriend for one of her final doctors appointments before she's due.

They have been arguing non-stop lately and haven't had sex in months.
He has made a habit of going out to bars for his needs.
He picks up a girl or guy for the night and does his deed then discards them right after.

She knows all about it, but is still holding onto the hope that he will ask her to marry him once she has her kid.

While they're inside the room waiting for the doctor, they hear someone in the hallway talking.
Then he hears his brothers deep voice, followed by an unmistakable laugh.

He stands up quickly and rushes out of the room.
He sees Jin and Tae walking down the hallway giggling to themselves as Tae has his arm wrapped around his waist.

"Jinnie!" Jungkook calls out.

Tae and Jin stopped walking, then turned around to face him.
When he looked down to Jin's stomach and saw his shirt was tight on him, his entire delusional world imploded right before his very eyes.

"Y-you're pregnant? With Taehyung's baby?"
His voice was strained and he wanted to cry.

Jin bit his lip, unsure of what to say since Jungkook looks crazy out of his mind at the moment.
But when his mistress comes out of the room and stands next to him as she rubs her belly tauntingly, he suddenly responds with, "Yes, I'm pregnant by your brother."

They then started walking away from them, not turning around when Jungkook kept calling for him.

When he tried to chase after him she held onto his arm.
The doctor then came out looking for them.
And they all walked back into the room.

Throughout the doctors visit, he couldn't get the image of his Jinnie looking so happy with his brother
When they're leaving the doctors office and get into the car, she immediately starts arguing with him.

"You fucking asshole! You really tried to chase after your ex and your brother?
Leaving me alone with the doctor?

Why can't you just accept that he's moved on and is happy?
Just like you should be. Our baby is arriving soon, and you act like you don't care."

They're driving along as she continues yelling.
When he doesn't respond she resorts to punching his arm.

"Say something you fucker! You think that I'm just going to disappear because you're tired of me.
But I'm not going anywhere, so forget that thought.
Do you want your baby to know what a loser you turned out to be? To let your brother steal your man?

Do you think our son would be proud of you?
No! He'll grow up ashamed that you're his father.
I should've held out and went after your brother.
Your ex-husband sure knows how to pick them."

Jungkook finally has enough and screams out at her.
"Shut up! Just shut your fucking mouth.
I fucking hate you. I wish I had never touched you.
Because of you, my life is ruined now.
So shut the hell up!"

She is shocked and her hormones are messing with her sanity as well.

So as he's entering the expressway on a freeway at a fast speed, she starts to punch him with all her might.
Making him swerve around as he's trying to control his driving.

"Stop you dumb bitch! Do you want to kill us?!"
He yells out at her.

"Fuck you! You bastard!" She screams and aims for his eyes and starts scratching him.
He hits the guardrail and his car immediately turns to the other lane and then hits the concrete barrier.
That makes the car go airborne and lands on the road below. The drop was about 30-40ft long and the car rolled twice before it stopped.

The inside of the car is silent, and soon the area is surrounded by fire trucks and ambulances.
Witnesses who drove behind them before the accident stopped to give their statements of what they observed.
The firefighters use the jaws of life to pry the door open to remove the bodies.

Tae and Jin went home happy, not letting the sight of Jungkook and his mistress ruin their day.
Tae bought him ice cream on the way home.
And then helped him sit comfortably on the sofa.

They picked out a movie and Tae rubbed Jin's feet.
They laughed at the characters onscreen.

"So what do you think of Taehyung as a boy's name?"
Tae asked him.

"I like it, but then I think that I might end up calling him Taetae as well, and then both of y'all will get confused."

Tae furrows his brow as he thinks about it, then says,
"Yeah, you're probably right. We'll keep searching."

It is then that their phones start ringing and both are strartled by them.

Tae answers his first, then Jin. And from the looks on their faces, they received the news about Jungkook's accident.

Tae's parents along with Jimin and Joonie soon arrived at their house, knowing the stress could do Jin harm and shouldn't travel.

"What did you find out Joonie?" Tae asked.

"I spoke to the officer that called me, and he said that the male was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
But the girl was D.O.A. along with her unborn baby."

Everyone took a collective gasp and felt bad about the baby.
Jin instinctively held onto his stomach. So did Jimin.

Then Joonie, his father and Tae decided to go to the hospital to check on Jungkook's condition.
And asked that they pray for him.

Jungkook's mother stayed behind to keep an eye on her pregnant son-in-laws.

Jin didn't know what to feel about everything.
He hated everything that Jungkook did but he never wished him any harm.

He hoped that he would also be as happy as he was now.
And he especially feels bad for his deceased baby.
He lost yet another one, and he doesn't know how to feel about his mistress.

Yes she was a sleazy skank that slept with a man she knew was married, but she was having his baby.
And she maybe had somebody out in the world that loved her... somewhere.

When they arrived at the hospital, they were led to the area where the doctors were still working on Jungkook.
They sat around waiting and occasionally talking to their loved ones.

About two hours later, the doctor came out and asked for the Jeon family.
They all ran up to him, anxious to know how he was.

"We worked very hard on him, and it was touch and go for a while, but he pulled through.
He has lost a lot of blood and his arm is broken.
And his clavicle is cracked.

He will need someone to help him once he's released.
But he'll probably be here for a few days.
He's unconscious right now from the anesthesia.
You may go see him for now, but once he's moved to his room it'll be past visiting hours, so you may want to return again tomorrow morning."

"Thank you doctor, for all your hard work in saving my son.
His family and I will be forever grateful."

The doctor nodded respectfully and excused himself.
They then walked into the room where Jungkook lay.

He was bandaged heavily, practically from head to toe.
His face was bruised up and had several gashes across his cheek, and he had a scratches on his eyelids.

"Oh man, I can't believe he's this bruised up and survived.
I wonder what exactly caused the accident."

As they stood around talking about the who and the what fors, a policeman entered the room.
When he asked to speak with them they all exited the room.

"I was the one who handled the scene of the accident.
We interviewed several people who were driving behind your son, and they all gave the same story.

They said the female passenger was yelling at him and fighting with him as he drove.
And saw her reach across and start scratching at his eyes.

He then lost control of the car and it hit the wall and flew over it and landed several feet below.
The female and her fetus died instantly but we found signs of life on your son and immediately worked to get him out and to a hospital.
It's a pretty open and shut case.

They all looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.

"It's fine, I will find it soon enough.
Just hoped to save some time.

They said their goodbyes and he left.
They also soon left after making sure that Jungkook was going to be ok.

When they got back to Tae's and explained how Jungkook was doing, and how the officer thinks the accident happened, they all then went to their own homes.

When Tae and Jin went to bed, he pulled Jin even closer and held him tight.
"Are you feeling ok baby?" Jin asked him.

"Yeah, I just feel kinda bad for Kook.
He looked terrible and I just wish that he could have found happiness eventually.
Not with you of course, but with someone else.
And now he's lost a second child.
That can't be good for his psyche."

"I don't know what to say Tae, he's my ex-husband but I still feel bad that he's suffering.
I don't know how I should feel, it's strange."

They laid in bed together in silence until they fell asleep.
The next couple of days, the family would go visit Jungkook and check on him.

He was mostly out of it for the most part, but he started to come around.
When he was told of his mistress's death along with his son, he didn't say a word.
And they didn't push the subject further.

The day of her funeral, her family was there, along with several of her coworkers.
Jungkook's mother went out of respect for her grandchild.
Who was being buried with his mother.

She gave her condolences to her family, who barely acknowledged her.

She ignored them and held her head high, not wanting to stoop to their level.
And then left after she paid her respects.

A couple of weeks later, Jimin gave birth to a beautiful chubby baby boy.
And everyone was so happy to welcome him to the family.

A while later Jungkook was released from the hospital, but had to hire a nurse to help him with things.
He would rarely speak to anyone when they would go visit him, making things awkward between him and the nurse.

The visits were cut shorter until they completely stopped.

Time was flying by and Jin was getting bigger.

Promising everyone a big wedding once the baby was born.

But what surprised everyone was that it was Tae who took Jin's last name, so he was now Kim Taehyung. 😉

When Jin was awake and held her, he cried constantly.

Jimin smiled at him, and knew that he was just enjoying his daughter after his hardships.

When they brought her home, Tae did everything possible to help Jin adjust to the new addition.
They had already remodeled Jin's old room into a nursery so she would be near to them.

But she still slept in a small bassinet next to their bed for the first couple of months.

As time passed by, Jimin would come spend the day with Jin so their babies could get used to each other.
Tae would spend most of the day in his art studio that was in the back room of the house.

But he would come back out to spend the afternoons and evenings with his princess.
When she was old enough to crawl, he would play horsies with her and put her on his back as he crawled around the room. She would hold on to his hair for dear life and she would laugh and giggle to her hearts content.

Jin would video record them as they played together.

He would watch how Jin was so happy with Tae.
And then he saw their children and how beautiful and healthy they were.
And he felt such a deep regret in his heart.

He was deep in thought and didn't notice the beautiful little girl who walked over to him and handed him a plate of cake.

She smiled at him, and it was the boxy smile that he then knew she was his niece.
"I brought you some cake samchon."

He took it from her hands and smiled back at her.

"Thank you for making the effort to talk with Taehyung.
He really missed you."

Jungkook was stunned so it took him a while to respond.
"My therapist has really been helping me.
And I've come to grips with the consequences of my choices.

It took me a long time to accept that you were really gone and had gotten married to my brother.
And that you even had your own children.

I finally took the time to mourn my sons, and to some extent my sons mother.
I did so many terrible things that I truly regret.
And I want to apologize to you Jin.
You didn't deserve anything that I put you through.

But I am glad that you finally found someone worthy of your love, and that you have your children.
They are very beautiful children.
I hope to get to know them again in the future."

Jin felt a tear slide down his cheek and he said,
"Thank you Jungkook. It means so much that you take responsibility for your mistakes.
I hope that we can all slowly find a way to get together as a family. Like Christmas and holidays."

Jungkook smiled and replied,
"That would be nice. I gotta get going now though.
Give my regards to everyone.
It was good seeing you."

As he turned to get into the car, he felt a pair of arms around him and he heard, "Thank you." in his ear.

Then he saw Jin as he quickly walked away.
He just chuckled and soon drove away.

It took some time, but everything eventually got back to how they used to be.
Jungkook met a cousin of his nurse and soon started dating her and was soon introduced to the family.

She was very nice and sweet, so they liked her.
After a year of dating, they traveled to Las Vegas for a vacation and got married.

A few months later they announced her pregnancy.
And so did Jimin and Jin. Who were on their third.

They all would get together as one big happy family.
And the children loved their uncle Kookie.
He was like a brand new man and everyone thanked his new wife for making him happy.

As Tae and Jin settled in for the night one evening, Tae asked him if he had any regrets about their life.
Jin looked at him like he hit his head.

"I don't regret anything about you or my life with you.
I have never loved anyone the way I love you.
I want to see us grow old together, and see our children grow up happy.
