Chapter Text
Funny how much things can change in a year.
A year ago, I would be in Beck's RV, complaining about my intense dislike of a girl called Tori Vega, and continue to brood over how much she annoys me when I get home, alone in my room. A year ago, where any thoughts about being in the same space as her makes my skin crawl. A year ago, where a lot of my free time was spent thinking of ways to make her sad or doing things to disturb her, like going through her medical records.
Of all the things I thought of, not a single one was even close to the situation I was in now: the said girl lying next to me on my bed, an arm lazily draped over my waist as she was cuddled up next to me, her breath tickling the hairs on nape of my neck and her chest pressed into my back.
A sense of comfort, security and warmth.
Home.
Looking back, I should have seen all the signs from the start. The way my heart would speed up when her dark brown eyes look up at me. The way my skin tingles and aches for more when she touches or hugs me. The way I push her off chairs, couches and benches when she sits too close for comfort next to me.
And I was terrified.
Terrified of the way my body responded when she comes within a feet of me. Terrified of the way she constantly appears in my mind. Terrified of the way my heart spasms when she smiles at me.
My ex never made me felt that way.
Sure, he was handsome, fearless and strong, with a chiseled body and fluffy hair girls would die for.
But in the two years I spent with him, I never felt the supposed fireworks that people always say come in a relationship.
I thought I was broken. Unable to get close to someone emotionally. Unable to feel the way the sky should light up with happiness. Unable to feel love.
Turns out it wasn't me.
Well, it was, but it's just that he's not the one for me.
Chapter Text
My hands clutched on to the black leather jacket you loved to wear so much.
It smelt faintly of mint, of cinnamon, of you.
Where are you?
It's the only constant in my life now. Pondering. Questioning. Brooding.
I see the scattered reminders of you in our room.
The polished glimmering under the lights from your favorite pair of scissors. The different sets of your hair extensions – green, purple, blue. The velvety black silk underwear you wore in bed – you refused to call them panties because you hated the word.
I hear your voice mocking me.
The horrible 1940s actress voice I don't speak in. The way you insult my hair, my makeup, my clothes. The dismissive way you say "whatever".
I feel the absence of your warmth.
The surprisingly soft, sizzling skin of your fingers when they hold my wrist. The sweltering heat of your body next to mine. The steam from your face when I told you I love you.
I crave the umami of you.
The spiciness of your mint-flavored lip gloss. The wetness of your tongue as we challenge each other to a duel. The sweet, metallic flavor from the scraping of your teeth on the surface of my lips.
Now it's all gone. The day you were taken away from me.

"Don't say a word."
Jade turned around, placing a finger on my lips. My breath hitched in my throat as I struggled not to gulp too loudly.
Luther, the school janitor, whistled as he strolled past us, mop and bucket in hand. Without any warning, Jade grabbed my wrist and dragged me to another wall that inched closer towards Dickers' office. This sudden movement caused me to step on the shoelace of my boot that had come loose, and the beginning of a scream bubbled out of my throat as my nose got closer to the floor.
"Goddamn it Vega!" Jade hissed as she wrapped an arm around my waist, the palm of her other hand on my lips, as she prevented me from flattening my face. Now with both feet planted firmly back on the ground, I turned around to look at her, my face burning. "Sorry that I'm such a klutz."
"Won't want you to smash your pretty face, you know," Jade smirked, bringing her lips closer to mine. As I closed my eyes and melted into the moment, a flick on my nose forced me out of it. "Ow! What the chizz, Jade?"
"Dickers just left his office," she pointed to the figure walking out of the swinging double doors. "Come on, this is our chance to get back my 'The Scissoring' scissors."
Grumbling, I handed her the keys I "borrowed" from Luther.
"You owe me triple the amount of kisses tonight, Jade."
Chapter Text
“Why do you always choose scissors in ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors?!”
“You know why. Because I love scissors.”
“But it makes you predictable! I can always choose rock to beat you, and it’s not fun!”
“Who says this stupid game is fun? Besides, you only beat me because I allow you to, Vega.”
“Awww, Jade. You’re so sweet.”
“Don’t say I’m sweet! I’m not sweet!”
“Ok fine. You have a bitter, twisted, scissory soul.”
Chapter Text
"Next time you two have a girl fight, could you call us first so we could get it on video?"
"Or… They could re-enact it."
The two producers of The Wood looked expectantly at them.
Jade turned away from both men to look at Tori, who was standing beside her with a large smile on her face. "Action!"
Both girls took a couple of steps away from each other, as the rest of the people in the room, including their friends, retreated as well. With an extremely pleased look on her face, Jade took a huge step forward to grab onto Tori's hair, the shorter girl letting out an ear-piercing shriek in response.
The two girls spun around the small space while gripping each other by their tresses as the camera crew rushed in to film the "brawl". Tori aimed a few stage kicks at Jade's stomach, who let out loud grunts like she was hit. Jade then clutched her other hand onto Tori's hair, as both girls continued to scream like banshees for the camera.
Afterwards, Tori pulled Jade onto the floor. The goth landed heavily, sprawled out on top of the other girl who had settled on her back. Within seconds, the atmosphere changed rapidly.
As the two girls looked into each other's eyes, the electricity in the air intensified. Their mouths soon found their equivalents, as Jade propped herself up and shifted her legs to straddle Tori. Their grasps loosened on each other's locks, as arms moved in to wrap around each other's necks, and gasps escaped from each other's lips.
After a few minutes of the scene, both girls hauled themselves off the floor, straightening up to face the producers. "You got all that?"
"Really good stuff, girls. That's the fastest kiss and make up we've ever caught on tape."
Tori turned to look at Jade, eyes twinkling. "Shall we… take this somewhere else?"
"Can we come and continue the shoot?"
"NO!" The pair shouted at the same time, the doors swinging as Jade pulled Tori out of the room by her wrist.

"Jade? Have you seen my pink lemonade? I saw it this morning and now it's all gone!"
Jade got off the couch, walking over to her girlfriend who was frantically opening and closing the various fridge doors, trying to look for her favorite drink. "Don't twist your tight little underwear into a pretzel, Vega. Are you sure you haven't finished all of it?"
"No! I'm sure the jug was filled when I looked this morning! It can't have just disappeared!"
"Wait a minute… Jade! What's this black liquid in the fridge?!"
"Black lemonade."
"But… Why is it black?!"
"I thought you might want to try something a little… different."
"But… Lemons are not black! You poisoned my lemonade!"
"Lemons are not pink either, Vega. Come on, just try it."
"Gross! No!"
Jade sighed to herself as she watched Tori huffed and poured the entire pitcher of the black juice down the sink. "Next time, maybe."
Notes:
In case anyone is curious… Black lemonade is activated charcoal lemonade.

Jade sighed in defeat as she picked up her phone, preparing to text her wife. Her camera crew went for their third coffee break in two hours during their "challenging shoot" inside a "haunted house" and she is so going to get stuck in the studio till wee hours, again. At least they have the decency to pick up a cup of joe for her.
Babe? I'm going to miss our Taco Thursday dinner. Cam crew can't work for shit, so I'll probably be home late too.
Tori Baby: Aww that's too bad :{(. What time would you get back?
Probably 2am or so. Stupid shoot.
Tori Baby: I'll leave your taco in the oven then.
Tori Baby: By the way, did I mention I shaved your favorite part? ;{)
Jade couldn't spam call the crew and bark at them to get back to the set fast enough.
Chapter Text
The Californian heat wave had gotten worse this year, so Tori and Jade decided to head down to their favorite beach to cool off from the sweltering heat. The little ice cream pop up stand, unfortunately, had only one cone left when they arrived. After some bickering, both girls finally agreed to a double scoop on top of a single cone. They sat down side by side on a mat laid upon the sand to enjoy the sweet treat.
Tori wanted to sneak a taste of Jade's mint chocolate, so when she thought Jade wasn't looking, she began to lick her way to the top ball. She was too busy eyeing her partner to notice, until both tongues suddenly froze in mid flick, having touched each other.
Cheeks reddening furiously, Tori quickly withdrew to the lower scoop, darting her pink organ carefully over the strawberry ice cream. She closed her eyes, trying to will the blush away. Moments later, however, the wet touch of a muscle brushed over her own, causing her to open her eyes in shock to stare at the lopsided grin forming on the face of her companion.
The ice cream was soon abandoned on the sand as the two girls decided to taste the dessert in each other's mouth instead.
Chapter Text
"It's your fault, Vega!"
"No, it's your fault, Jade. You just had to wave that scary shiny scissors of yours around, in front of the vice principal!"
"I only pulled it out of my belt because you were flirting with that boy from your music class!"
"We have a project where we have to sing together! I already told you that at least ten times since last week!"
"Why can't you sing with André?"
"André is not in that class! He finished it like last semester! And I thought you said you trust me!"
"I do, it's just…"
"What, Jade? I don't pick up other girls or boys on the way to school, I don't have other girls or boys trying to touch my hair all the time, I don't just sit around and shrug my shoulders when other girls or boys try to hit on me! So tell me, what did I do to make you distrust me?"
"…I'm sorry, Vega. I need to unlearn these… behaviors."
"Oh Jade… What am I supposed to do with you…?"
"Vega? Would you forgive me if I give you ten kisses tonight?"
"Please? Vega? I promise not to turn into a green eyed monster again?"
"You are my pretty green eyed monster. I know you want me to help you get back your scissors. Since I already stole Luther's keys to Dickers' cabinet where he locked your precious for you, make it double the kisses you owe me. And I'm on top tonight."
"Fine. But I get to pick your tools."
Chapter Text
"Vega? What is this? This had better not be a variation of your spicy tuna balls."
Tori's face went as red as the sushi she had prepared for Jade. "No, this is not spicy tuna balls. This is salmon roll with fish roe."
"But why is it… flat?"
"I did not want to make it into a ball shape like last time, so when it looked too round I pressed on it hard like the dough when I was trying to make pizza. This is why it became like this…"
Jade sighed loudly, but took a bite anyway. She barely chewed for two seconds before spitting it out. "Vega? You did buy the sashimi grade raw fish like I told you to, right?"
"Um, what's that?"
Jade slapped her temple with her palm hard. "Let's go to Nozu instead, Vega. I'm not taking you to the hospital for the third time this month because of food poisoning."
Chapter Text
"Jade? Do you remember our first date?"
"The real one or the fake one?"
"The one Sikowitz forced us to go on."
"Yeah? What about it?"
"You said I looked pretty from certain angles. I want to know… Which angles are those?"
"Are you really sure you want to know?"
"Yes, please tell me."
"The truth or lies?"
"Um… The truth? Even if you… find some parts of me ugly."
"I would say… Your eyes, nose, cheekbones, lips, ears, face, hair, neck, chest, breasts, nipples, ribs, fingers, belly button..."
"Ok, ok, stop. I know you love all parts of me."
"Let's go to your room, Vega, and let me show you how much I love these parts of you."

3. Her wavy hair
4. Her warm hands
5. Her soft lips

10. The way she rubs my back when she hugs me
11. The way she pouts when I deny her hugs
12. The way she pats me down for any dangerous sharp objects
13. The way she stares at me when she thinks I am not looking
14. The way I can't help staring at her when I think she is not looking
15. Why can't I just stop thinking about her!?

Tori staggered into the bathroom, legs wobbly and breathing hard.
"Vega, you got two minutes before round four!"
Tori took another deep breath and turned on the tap, attempting to calm herself down. She flicked water rapidly onto her face before shouting back. "Come on, Jade! You are not even a little tired after three rounds? I can hardly breathe!"
"Nope! Your two minutes is up! Get back to the bed for another round of tickle war now!"

Chapter Text
Vega Vega Vega. Every time I stop focusing on something, you just have to appear and fill up my entire mind, and it's driving me nuts. God damn it. All I can think of is Tori, Tori, Tori, and I am now having severe writer's block.
I think I am going insane, because of you.
Lying to myself all the time about how I actually feel about you is getting harder and harder to suppress. Ok, I admit that I don't really hate you, or even dislike you, but every single person I know of sing praises about you. Verbally attacking you at every turn is the only way I can get your attention and stand out in your crowded mind. Everyone assumes I hate you because of the way I had been behaving for the past year ever since you joined the school.
Yes, Big Bad Jade West is admitting to myself about liking you just a little bit. Or even a lot. Unfortunately for the both of us, I don't have the courage to confess that to you anytime soon.

Chapter Text
"Oh my god, Jade! You totally got the movie part! Come on, give Tori a squeeze!" She said, wriggling her eyebrows at me while stretching out her arms.
I rolled my eyes at her, but melt into her embrace anyway. I need to present myself as tough and mean all the time, but that façade just dissolves to nothing every time she sends a smile my way or even just looks at me.
If suffering through her hugs is the price I need to pay for being with her, I'll gladly endure it.
Chapter Text
Her eyes are green when she is angry. Mean words pour out of her lips and slash at whoever they are directed at.
Her eyes are blue when she is sad. Mascara streak down her cheeks along with her tears, but she stubbornly refuses to tell you what's wrong. All you can do is to pat her back and give her one of your squeezes.
Her eyes are cyan when she is amused. Her signature smirk on full display as she watches someone embarrass themselves or something too bloody and gory for the rest of you.
But right now, they are turquoise, and they shine with love when they look at you.
Chapter Text
"Pancakes!"
"No! Waffles!"
André shot a glance between the two girls, who were in an argument regarding which of the two breakfast foods taste better. He turned to look at Beck, who was focusing on his lunch to avoid being dragged into the fight.
"How about we buy one of each, then all of us do a taste test to decide which is better?" Tori suggested.
Jade turned up her signature smirk, and nodded. "Good idea. I'll get a piece of each and we'll get everyone to taste test it."
When Jade returned with the two plates of food, it was already sliced into six pieces each. The gang took a small slice of each, chewing carefully. Once everybody took a taste of each one, Jade started the vote.
"Who thinks waffles taste better?"
The group took a look at each other, then Cat and Robbie slowly raised their hands, along with Jade. To Jade's surprise, Tori raised her hand too. "Alright, what about pancakes?"
André and Beck raised their hands, along with Tori. To Tori's surprise, Jade raised her hand as well.
Beck snorted at them both. "Well Jade and Tori, you both cheated by voting twice. So now how do we settle which of these two taste better?"
"I'll try to like pancakes if Vega does," Jade said, turning away to try to hide her blush.
"I'll try to like waffles if Jade likes it too," Tori wrapped her arms around Jade, secretly happy with how sweet Jade was being.
Turning to Tori with a sinister smirk, Jade whispered into her ear, "Now let's see you learning to like horror movies by watching them with me." With a smile that rivals Jade's, Tori purred back, "If that's the case, you'll learn to like romcoms the same way too."
Chapter Text
"So Jade, what Shakespearean plays do you like?" Tori asked her girlfriend while putting on her bonnet backstage before the final rehearsal of "The Merry Wives of Winsor". The pair had been selected to play Mistress Ford and Page, and were having great fun performing as leads together. It was rare for the school to do "ancient" productions, especially those which have multiple leads.
The raven haired girl answered while she continued putting on her dress, "Well, I mainly like things like Hamlet and Titus Andronicus. You know, the ones with more violence and the theme of revenge." Tori tapped her chin, thinking out loud, "Are these considered the tragedies? How about the more famous ones like Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth?"
"Vega! No!"
Tori tilted her head at her green eyed companion. "Why the big reaction, Jade? I get that you may not like tragedy romances, but Macbeth? I thought you would like it since it's super dark and depressing and all…"
"No! You said it again! You've got to leave the Black Box theater now! Turn around three times, spit over your left shoulder, say a vulgarity and knock before you're allowed back in!"
"I've got to what?!"
"Do as I say, Vega!" Jade grabbed Tori by her hand to drag her out of the door, locking her outside.
With her head still spinning from Jade's response, Tori did as best as she was instructed, whispering the least offensive curse word she could think of. When she was finally allowed back in, she glared at her girlfriend. "Care to explain what that was all about?"
Jade pulled her girlfriend into her chest. "It's bad luck, babe. Just don't say that word again. I've watched enough horror to know not to screw around with unexplainable things. And for the record, yes, I like The Scottish Play as well."
"But that's strange. Why is it called The Scottish Play? And if that word is forbidden, how would anybody even perform a Mac…"
"No!"
Chapter Text
I hate flowers. Or at least I used to. Now they just remind me of the sunflowers you plant on our balcony, just like the ones your mom grew.
I hate ketchup on hot dogs. Or at least I used to. Now I regularly put them onto a bun along with mustard when you need a quick lunch.
I hate girls who go to the beach with tiny bikinis. Or at least I used to. Now I can't stop staring when you show up in this attire when we're on vacation.
I hate the color yellow. Or at least I used to. Now I know it as the color of sunlight streaming into our room when I wake up next to your pretty face.
I hate happiness. Or at least I used to. But now I can't live without the joy I feel whenever I'm with you.
Chapter Text
She's perfect. Long toned legs, gorgeous figure. Tall, dark and slim.
She has these huge expressive doe eyes, high cheekbones, cute little button nose, full lips and a smile that lights up the whole room. Her beauty is unique and really strikes you.
Aside from her looks, she has great taste in clothes, as well as music. Her voice is just like an angel, no matter if she opens her mouth to sing or just to talk. She has a heart of golden sunshine – always so kind and understanding, ready to help someone out.
She gets a lot of attention from both men and women. They're drawn to her, like bees to honey. Just like me. I find it so unbelievably sexy when she's walking over to me from the other side of the bar, and a man give her a flirting smile and she teasingly reciprocates but turns those big soulful eyes to me before striding over and giving me a big smooch on the lips. She's mine and I am the luckiest woman on the planet.
It's been three years since we started dating but it still feels like the first week we confessed our feelings to each other. I'm so gonna marry this girl.
Chapter Text
Tori returned home to her shared apartment after a busy day at the studio to find her girlfriend sitting on the floor, destroying her sunflowers with a pair of scissors. Slightly annoyed, Tori stepped forward, ready to chastise her, but stopped as soon as she saw Jade's red eyes. "Jade, what happened? Who made you upset?"
Jade said nothing. Instead, she pointed at a pile of cut up paper that was scattered all over the floor and continued snipping off each yellow petal into tiny pieces.
Tori gathered the torn strips, piecing them together until they formed something coherent. She read it out loud when she finally finished the paper puzzle, "Dear Miss Jade West, we have reviewed your manuscript and unfortunately, we do not believe your work could be a commercial success for the publishing house at the moment. We wish you the best in your future endeavors."
She let out a loud sigh, "I'm sorry, baby."
The snipping sound of the scissors beside her stopped and the tool clattered onto the floor. An uncharacteristic small voice came from the body huddled behind her, "Is my writing really that bad?"
Tori turned around, squeezing her girl in her arms. "Of course not. I've read your drafts, and I think it's great. You're not going to give up just because of one rejection, are you?"
A cream colored hand ran over the watery blue eyes. "No, I won't give up. I still got things to prove to that old man. But it stings, Tor. It stings so much."
Tori takes the hand of her girlfriend, leading her to their bedroom. "Come on, I've got a way to make you feel better than cutting those flowers."
It's going to be a long night.
Chapter Text
It was a curious sight for Tori to walk into the house and see Jade tucked under the comforter on their bed, since Jade would usually be typing away at her computer at all hours of the day. Happy that her girlfriend was finally listening to her for once about taking a break, she reached out to touch her face gently, trying not to disturb her.
The heat she felt made her jump in shock.
Tori shook Jade hard, trying to wake her. "Jade? Are you unwell?"
Jade coughed several times before opening an eye. "Vega? I'm running a slight fever. I can't find the aspirin in the house, so I just thought I would lie down for awhile to wait for you to get home."
Tori scrambled around in her monster bag, trying to find her phone. "I'm calling 911 for an ambulance to take you to the emergency room, Jade. I'll get the cardiologist, the ENT specialist, the neurologist…"
Jade clasped her girlfriend's hand, trying to keep from laughing, "Relax, Vega. I'm not dying. It's probably just a minor flu. Just drive me to our usual doctor."
Chapter Text
"So Vega, when we're old and wrinkly and our butts grow saggy, and if we get to choose, do you prefer that you die first, or would you rather I go first instead?"
Tori rolled her eyes. Her girlfriend was in one of her (more) morbid moods (because let's face it, when is Jade ever not fascinated with death?!), and she was asking those hypothetical questions again. But hey, wait a minute…
She squealed, "You want to be with me till we're both old and wrinkly?"
It was Jade's turn to roll her eyes. "Answer the question, Vega."
Tori tapped her chin, thinking of the best way to answer Jade's question. "Well, I would rather you go first, so you don't have to deal with the pain of being all alone in the world. What about you, Jade?"
The other girl had a devious grin on her face. "I would want you to go first, and I'll get to breath in the fumes of your soul, so you can become a part of me. Then I'll follow you right after, so we won't ever be apart."
Chapter Text
Jade groaned in annoyance as her phone vibrated on the night stand. She picked it up to see a text from André, noting that it was three in the morning. Making a mental note to threaten him the next time they meet, Jade tapped on the message to open it.
André: Jade, is Tori there? She has been ignoring my texts since yesterday and we have an assignment due in twenty eight hours! I can't get a D for the class!
Jade smiled to herself, thinking of the various reasons why Tori had failed to answer any texts or return any calls since yesterday due to the both of them being busy the whole day.
Yeah, she is in my arms, asleep. I'll remind her to talk to you at school later. Wake me up again and I'll make sure you have the pointy end of my scissors stuck where the sun doesn't shine.

NOT The Diddly Bops group chat:
Beck: Guys! How's your weekend? I had a fun time at the beach with Alyssa!
André: I had a great weekend too. Been to the bar with Kiko, had a couple beers
Cat: Robbie and I went to the movies! We had strawberry ice cream, fries and waffles, and he bought me a big bag of bibble! (love symbol) (love symbol)
Robbie: Muacks Cat (love symbol)
Beck: Jade? Tori? What about you girls?
Jade: Well, Vega and I were busy exchanging bodily fluids. And stop changing the group chat name, Cat!
Jade: Anything else you want to know?
Tori: Jade!
Cat: What does that mean? Does it mean you two wazz together?
André: Oh my god…
Chapter Text
"Jade? Tori? I saw you both go into the girls' room before class! You both missed English!"
Cat inched towards the locked stall at the end of the bathroom, feeling scared. There were weird noises coming from behind the door, and she thought she heard Tori's strained voice.
"Faster please, Jade. Add one more!"
Cat knocked on the door, calling out once more. "Are you both wazzing together again?"
There was several loud bangs, with the voices of both Tori and Jade exclaiming "ouch" each time it happened. A few minutes later, both girls stepped out of the stall, looking disheveled.
Jade scowled and pointed a threatening finger at Cat, earning her a slap on the arm from Tori. "Don't you dare say a word to anyone, Cat, or I'll throw away all your bibble."
"Can I post it on The Slap?"
Both voices shouted at the same time. "No!"
Chapter Text
"I told you this was a bad idea, Jade!"
"Yea it was such a bad idea! Says the person who was screaming faster faster Jade please faster more fingers please!" Jade exclaimed in her Sweet Sally Peaches voice.
Tori let out a little whine, her face glowing crimson. She slumped onto the floor below her locker, covering her face with her palms.
Jade laughed, grabbing Tori's hands and pulling her girlfriend towards her chest. "Come on, Vega. Cat doesn't even know what we're doing. She thinks we are off peeing in the same toilet bowl, and she won't suspect otherwise. Nothing to worry about."
"We should not even have done it in school, you know. I just knew that I shouldn't have given in to you."
Jade's lopsided grin grows on her face, grabbing Tori's wrist to drag her into the Janitor's closet. "Stop overthinking, Vega. Let me take your mind off things. You know you need this."
Chapter Text
Jade's phone let out a tortured scream as it alerted her of a new notification on The Slap. Annoyed, she looked up from her position between Tori's legs and glanced at her phone to notice that she had been tagged in a post by Cat. Fearing the worst, she tapped on the notification to open it.
Attention everyone! Please do NOT go into the girls' bathroom on the second level! There are NO strange noises coming from the last stall, and Jade and Tori are NOT wazzing there together!
PS: Jade's finger smells weird.
Mood: Confused
Tori sat up when Jade screamed, and nuzzled her head into Jade's neck to look at her phone. Mortified, she turned to look at Jade, who was slowing going red in the face.
"Cat! I am going to kill you!"
"Jade! No!"
She flung the door of the Janitor's closet open to chase after her girlfriend, not realizing that she left her jeans behind in the tiny room.
Chapter Text
A large crowd had congested in the main hall of the school as students streamed out, chatting, from their classrooms after the bell rang. Tori had been searching through the entire school for her enraged girlfriend, but every time she sprinted towards the direction of Jade's distinctive scream of rage or Cat's shrieks of terror, both of them had run away in some other direction.
Exhausted, she sat down on the steps of the stairs in the main hallway, panting from the exertion. She closed her eyes to catch her breath, trying to calm her hammering heart.
A hand suddenly taps her shoulder, causing her to snap awake. "André?"
"Girl, you really need to put on some pants. People are staring."
Tori looked down at her feet. To her horror, she was wearing nothing under her waist but her big comfy panties with floral prints on it. With her t-shirt barely covering her midriff, there wasn't much she could do to cover her bare thighs from the crowd gathered in the hallway.
With a scream, she draped her locks over her face, wishing that a hole would open up and swallow her completely.
Just as she was contemplating whether to hide in the Janitor's closet and spend the rest of her life there or just die right here on the spot, a familiar husky voice electrified the air and a pair of warm arms wrapped themselves around her. "Hey! Stop staring at my Vega or I'll do target practice on all your perverted eyes!"
A hand gently brushed the loose strands of her hair from her face, and she found herself staring into Jade's mesmerizing eyes. Still in a daze, she soon found herself being pulled back into their "secret" love room.
"Thank you for saving me, Jade. Please tell me you didn't murder Cat?"
"I was about to catch her when I saw you sitting jean-less in the hallway, covering your face. As much as I want to kill Cat, getting you away from those depraving eyeballs and salivating lips is way more important. I can't stand all those people staring at parts of you that only I should get to see."
As they were about to touch lips, the announcement speaker suddenly crackled to life overhead them. Tori Vega and Jade West, please report to the school councilor's office immediately.
"Oh god no." Tori groaned, "Now we get a session with Lane too, after all that humiliation."
"Looks like we're both in trouble for my attempted homicide and your indecent exposure." Jade's usual grin returned, as she slowly pulled Tori's pants back onto her legs and planted a big smooch on her lips. They walked out of the room together, with Tori trying to mold her red cheeks into Jade's shoulder.

Chapter Text
Feeling full and sleepy, Tori leans back into her girlfriend's arms, as the latter rubs her shoulders in a circular motion. As she watches the orange light dim in the distance, she lets out a sigh of contentment.
It had been some time since they both had the opportunity to relax at the beach together, due to their insane clashing schedules. For two people living in the same apartment, they had not seen each other awake for the past few months, let alone share a meal.
"I've missed you." She turns, smiling at Jade.
"So have I." Jade smiles back at her, giving her a nip on her nose.
Tori closes her eyes as she nuzzles into Jade's chest, enjoying the warmth. As she is about to drift off, she feels the sea breeze rush onto her back. Opening her eyes, she turns to see Jade fiddling with the picnic basket. "Jade? What're you doing?"
Aquamarine eyes meet hers as her girlfriend turns back around to hold her, a box in her hand. Tori tilts her head, "What's that?"
"Open it."
She opens the box to find a jade pendent on a silver chain. Her partner's arms tighten around her waist, "Let me be your precious stone, Tori, and be by your side forever."

Kudos to anyone who can figure the song this shot is inspired by!

"Come on, Tori! How much longer can you sleep? Get up and let me borrow that new purple shirt you just got!" Trina barged into the room, intent on swiping Tori's garment permanently. Tori opened one eye to glare at Trina, a trick she learned from her girlfriend, but it seemed to have no effect on Trina whatsoever.
"What new shirt?"
"You know, the one with the long sleeves…" Trina trailed off, poking her head into her sister's wardrobe. "Found it!" She smiled triumphantly, pulling out the top.
"No not that! You can't borrow that!" Tori jumped out of the bed, trying to stop her sister from taking the shirt.
"Too slow! You don't scare me, Tori. No matter how hard you try, you won't ever be like that scary girlfriend of yours." Trina pulled the shirt out of Tori's grasp, running for the door. Upon opening it, she found the tip of a pair of scissors mere millimetres away from her throat.
"Eeek!"
"Put that shirt back! You are not allowed to steal clothes I bought for my girlfriend!"
Tossing the shirt back to her sister, Trina dashed down the stairs to her own room, out of the range of sharp objects.
Chapter Text
"Look, Tori. We're trying to promote a family friendly image here. You must understand that as a pop star, you will be seen and heard by children and teens all over the world, and we must preserve this image for your sake."
"But I don't understand. What does my girlfriend have anything to do with this?"
"It's wrong to promote an alternative lifestyle, and many parents won't approve of it. I'm sure you'll understand. It will be detrimental to your career and the reputation of our studio, should we sign you on."
"I'll never leave my girlfriend for my career, you know that right? I thought it was something we talked about earlier when we started negotiating contract terms."
"We're not trying to get you to break up with her or anything. But your private life will be under scrutiny when you are in the spotlight. Just pretend to be in a relationship with one of the male artists under our brand. You are very talented and have a bright future in front of you, Tori, and we really don't want to blackball you. Don't ruin it for yourself."
"I'm sorry. I can't do that. Goodbye."
Tori hung up the phone with a loud sigh. She was glad that Jade wasn't around to listen to this conversation, otherwise she would have freaked out and screamed at the studio manager. Scrolling to her notes app on her phone, she crossed off the name of the label as a potential one to work with.
Chapter Text
A large scowl was present on Jade's face as she was dragged into the movie theater by Cat. How did she even get talked into watching this stupid film with the gang?
It was all her girlfriend's fault she was here in the first place. Cat had been talking excitedly about the sequel for the stupid dolphin movie: Detective Blowhole 2 during lunch, and she was begging the group to watch it with her after school. The guys easily agreed, and Tori had agreed as well. She flat out refused to go, but the tongue caressing hers in her mouth left her dazed and unable to say a single damn word to disagree.
So no, she did NOT get talked into this.
She focused her eye lasers at her girlfriend as the marine abomination appeared on the screen, gnashing her teeth. Tori turned to look at her with a smile in the darkness, leaning to whisper in her ear.
"You are going to love dolphins after this, I promise, and I'm going to be with you every step of the way."

"Vega! Look what I got for you!"
Tori popped her head out of the bedroom to see her girlfriend carrying a huge box into the house. She ran to the kitchen to see what Jade was up to.
Jade turned around with a smirk on her face, patting the cylinder shaped appliance set up next to her. "There! I've read numerous reviews online that this air fryer is extremely easy to use. You will finally be able to make decent food to your heart's content without burning down our apartment."
She leaped to grab Jade into a Tori Squeeze™, before bouncing off to grab her phone and settling on the couch. Jade joined her a few moments later, nuzzling into her girlfriend and fiddling with the remote to turn on the tv, dozing off to her favorite idiots arguing in the background.
Jade woke up to an annoying finger poking her in her arm. "What?!"
"Join me for a grocery run, please? I found over fifty recipes that are easy to make on my phone. I'll fix dinner for us tonight!"
Chapter Text
Jade jumped up at the sound of her wife's screaming from the bathroom. She rushed towards her, calling out, "Baby? What's wrong?"
She arrived to a panicked looking Tori pointing at the toilet bowl. "I dropped my phone in there! Help!" Rolling her eyes, she opened a cabinet next to the seat, pulling out a pair of latex gloves. She put one on, before passing the other to her wife and reached into the potty, grabbing the soaked phone.
"Here. You haven't done anything in the water, right?"
Tori shook her head as she put on her own glove. She gave the device a quick rinse under the sink before patting it dry with a towel, trying to turn it on. When the chime of the phone powering on played, she did a little dance, leaning in to kiss Jade.
"Turn it off unless you want to replace your phone again after three months' use, Vega. I'll go get some silica gel packs for you. And wash your hands." Jade shook her head, dumping the glove in the bin, trying to hide her smile.
This is my life now. I unfortunately live with a clumsy phone destroyer whose idiocy somehow won me over. Mood: Speechless
Chapter Text
Sunlight streamed into the room as Tori opened her eyes. She snuggled into her sleeping partner next to her, enjoying the warmth.
It took a few minutes before Jade cracked open an eye, noticing the soft body in her arms. She took a big sniff of Tori's hair and gave her a soft peck on her cheek before flipping to her other side to get off the bed.
"It's too early. Don't go, please." A soft voice filled Jade's ear as she felt her sides being enveloped. Jade laughed, "Vega, I love you but I really need coffee now."
Feeling brave, Tori wrapped her arms around Jade even more tightly. "Screw coffee!"
Jade turned around to look at her with a smirk. "Screw coffee? That sounds hot and uncomfortable. I'll rather sweat screwing you."

Chapter Text
Jade rolled her eyes as Cat pulled out a long string of licorice candy out of her bra. She took out her scissors to snip off a strand, but Cat stopped her. "Wait, Jade. Let me give you the whole piece."
Crossing her arms, Jade waited impatiently as Cat continued pulling out the candy. Cat handed one end to Jade, smiling, "This is going to take a while. Can you start eating it first? I worry that the licorice is going to reach the floor."
"Fine. But only because I want the whole piece."
As Jade nibbled on the candy, Cat turned to Tori with an uncharacteristic smirk, passing her the other end. Tori put it in her mouth absentmindedly, and started nibbling on it as well. Cat took a few steps up the stairs, waiting in anticipation for the results of her handiwork.
Before long, both mouths reached in the middle and accidentally sucked on each other's lips, causing Jade to jump a foot into the air, while Tori turned red and stared at her kisser with mouth agape, unexpected light shining in her eyes.
Notes:
This is a weird mental image. Think Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene.

Chapter Text
Jade opened her mouth wide as Tori approached her with the pair of long pliers. "Just do it, Vega. Before the urge takes over and I kill all of you."
"I'm sorry for hurting you, Jade. Every night."
"You know how much I enjoy the pain of the flesh, Vega. Do it already."
As the dagger-like fangs came loose in Tori's hands, Jade rinsed off her mouth blood with the glass of water on the desk, smirking. It was all she could do to ensure the safety of her love from her deadly desires.
Chapter Text
"Jade? Can I ask you a question?"
"You are already asking one, Vega."
"Why do you still call me Vega instead of Tori, even after three years?"
"Tori means bird."
"Come on, can you please tell me the real reason!"
"Pff, fine, since you begged. Do you know what Vega is? It's one of the brightest stars in the sky. And that's what you are. The shiniest person in my heart."
Chapter Text
After Jade managed to "persuade" Sinjin to delete the picture from the Pear servers again, she finally decided on what picture she wanted to be on Pear Maps. To prevent another unfortunate accident, she dragged Tori to the gang's usual lunch table straight after school, intent on waiting for the satellite to take a new picture at 5.17pm.
When Tori heard Jade's plan, however, she almost barfed at it.
"What?! You want us to sit there and kiss for over three hours?!"
"What's wrong, Vega? Don't think your lips would be able to handle that? Oh my lips are too soft and delicate, I cannot handle kissing for three hours straight!"
Tori gritted her teeth, "You're on Jade."
When 8pm came along, both girls finally broke apart, their growling stomachs finally snapping them out of their luscious heaven.
Chapter Text
"Vega! Help me boil the eggs in the microwave! I only have eight minutes before I have to rush out!"
Tori dashes to the kitchen, grabbing three eggs from the fridge before putting them onto a plate. She sets the timer to three minutes, figuring that the eggs should have been cooked by then. Turning around, she pours coffee into Jade's travel mug, the drink which had taken her countless mornings to perfect.
A loud boom makes Tori jump. She turns around to find the mess of eggs into the microwave.
The second boom makes Jade run out of the bedroom, half dressed only in her bra and underwear. "What happened, Vega? Are you hurt?"
On inspection of the microwave after the third boom, Jade bends over laughing, unable to control herself. Tori pouts, "Jade! You told me to boil you eggs in the microwave!"
"Oh Vega, you need to submerge them in water before putting them in the microwave. Thank you for cracking me up at seven in the egg-plosive morning."
Chapter Text
Tori tied up her hair in a bundle as she stepped out of her night shower. She hummed her signature song to herself as she picked up the hamper from the bathroom, tossing the laundry into the washer.
As she was pressing on the settings on the washing machine for a wash cycle, she felt two soft arms wrap around her waist, and warm lips pressed onto her cheeks. Smiling, Tori turned around to stare into the shining emerald eyes of her wife.
"You took a night shower, babe. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Hmm, maybe. Probably."
Tori soon found herself out of the clothes she had just put on barely ten minutes ago.
