Silence hung in the air as stunned faces stared at the fading back of the defence ministry staff and the tuft of red hair that lay on his shoulders. It was understandable seeing as one of the cheeriest and most positive students had broken down in front of them. Surprisingly the one who broke the tense silence was Sugino. He cleared his throat to gain the attention of the people in the vicinity before he spoke. “So, I’m very sure you guys are wondering what’s going on but I don’t think this is the right place to explain. Should we go back to our classroom?” Murmurs of agreement came from the students of 3E and some from 1A nodded their heads. So, the two classes, with their various teachers, began the walk back to the class.
Once tea and towels had been passed around and everyone was settled either on the floor or the chairs, 3E began explaining. Terasaka was the one who kicked off the talk by saying, “I don’t think you guys deserve an explanation after all you have put him through but Karasuma Sensei said that if you understand what’s going on, things will be easier for Karma so we will give you a brief rundown of what happened,” in a very Terasaka like manner. Nagisa was the next one who spoke up when Terasaka grew quite seemingly done with his part. “I’ll get straight to the point. What you just witnessed was a psychosis and manic episode which Karma often suffers from, stemming from trauma-induced Schizophrenia.” He ignored the gasps of horror from the older class and continued on,” In short, during episodes, he sees things that aren't real to us but are very real to him. From what Koro-sensei and Karasuma-sensei were able to find out, Karma sees monsters that have claws and the ability to burn him.”
At that, many turned to look at the only person among them that had an explosive quirk. Bakugo swallowed down a retort when he saw the accusing looks thrown at him. He knew what he did was wrong but it felt weird to just suddenly stop so he didn’t. “The first person who really knew how to help him was Koro-sensei. Most of us knew that he was struggling but we didn’t really know what was going on so we just did what we thought would help him which sometimes made things much worse than they had to be. Karasuma sensei caught on pretty quickly and learned from Koro-sensei. They both worked together to find the best ways to help Karma. I wouldn't say that you are the sole reason that Karma's condition is as bad as it is but you guys definitely affected him. By the way, Karma is the only one allowed to give Karasuma-sensei a nickname so don’t repeat what you heard. Koro-sensei being the first one to help him strengthened their bond so your snide comments coupled with the shock of his death was probably what sent him into an episode.”
At that point most of the pro heroes who were present and students from Class 1A were reeling from the shock of finding out the truth. Sure, they knew that their actions had consequences but never in their wildest dreams did they ever think that it would be this bad. Aizawa and Nedzu were the only ones who had a look of relief and understanding instead of guilt and shame. Aizawa straightened from where he was leaning against the door frame when he heard footsteps echoing through the hallway outside of the classroom. The footsteps sounded controlled, like the owner of the feet that made the sound was trying to make as little noise as possible while still allowing a trained person to be aware of their presence. A few seconds later, he spotted the man that his problem child had affectionately called 'Tadao', slowly approaching the classroom. Karma's head lay limply on Karasuma's right shoulder while one of his arms was hooked around the man's neck, loosely holding a packet of what looked like strawberry milk and the other was clenching the back of his teacher's shirt.
The whispering that had festered in the classroom came to an abrupt stop when they realized that Aizawa was holding the door open, revealing the teacher-student duo. "Sensei, is he okay?" Nagisa said as quietly as possible so that he didn't startle his dozing friend. Karasuma grunted in response as he entered the classroom. He bent down to retrieve a bundle of blankets behind the teacher's table, setting the fluffy material on the ground. He sat down before slowly easing Karma onto the makeshift bed. The child whined a little at the jostling but otherwise did not wake. In fact, he seemed to be lulled deeper into sleep. Karasuma gently pried the empty packet of milk from the limp fingers of his student, tossing it into a trash can. With that done, he turned to face the class that had aided in taking down Koro-sensei. He sent a sharp glare at the blonde-haired student who had opened his mouth to speak. "If you wake him up, you won't live to see tomorrow." The kid nodded his head frantically when Karasuma said that. It was so easy to scare kids, he should get paid to do it.
"Aizawa Shouta, homeroom teacher." The long-haired teacher said, thrusting his hand out towards Karasuma. "Karasuma Tadaomi, nice to meet you. Karma talks about you a lot." Aizawa raised an eyebrow when he heard that before he was reassured that only good things were said about him. Karasuma proceeded to explain what was going to happen now that Koro-sensei was dead but he could tell that most people weren't listening to him. "Listen, I know some of you want to talk to him but I think the best thing you can do for him right now is to return to your hotel rooms to wash up and rest. I will inform your teacher when he wakes up and is more stable. Got it?" The people from UA nodded their heads, acknowledging that it wasn't a question but an order. They began to file out of the classroom, returning the cups and towels that had been provided for them.
