Chapter Text
Zarei isn't sure how Day talked her into it, but, somehow, she's about to go on a double date with Spender and Garcia.
Ever since she'd started dating Day she's learned two things.
One; her first name is Agent, it's not a title that's just her name.
Two; people aren't nearly as terrible as she thought.
Well-- she still thinks people are terrible, but her girlfriend seems to be good at finding less bad people.
Zarei sat on the office chair in her bedroom, impatiently tapping her foot as Day ran her fingers across her closet wardrobe.
Despite being blind, she had an amazing fashion sense; so whenever Zarei has something important going on, Day always chooses an outfit for her.
"Can't we just cancel?" Zarei finally says.
Day huffs, finally picking out a black dress suit and grey hijab with a green gradient. Which complimented Day's pale pink dress nicely.
"I thought you were friends with them." Day says, handing her the clothes.
"I'm friends with Rick, I barely know Jean, he's just so…" She makes a vague hand motion. "Quiet."
Day smiles, "Y'know, you too are more similar than you think." She says, which Zarei rolled her eyes at.
"Sheesh, you sound like a bad movie. Besides, he likes men and I like women, we're just too different! " Zarei exclaims.
"And thank you for the clothes." She quickly adds, not wanting to seem ungrateful.
Agent turns around as Zarei changes her clothes; which Zarei always insisted she did.
"Just please be nice, Spender's taking us to that meat restaurant he keeps talking about."
Zarei lovingly rolls her eyes, "Yeah, he always wants to go to weird places; one time he took me and Isabel out to a water themed restaurant." She reminisces, somewhat fondly but mostly confused.
They served them water on plates.
She wishes Mayview had normal restaurants.
Day nods along, "Sounds charming!" It was not.
Zarei sighs, viewing herself in the mirror. She had to admit, Day could pick a fantastic outfit.
Day leans next to her, smiling widely. "Since you're obviously pleased with your outfit, we should be on our way." She chirps, hugging her girlfriend.
Zarei grimaces, blushing as she begrudgingly holds her back. "Yes, I suppose we should." She replies through gritted teeth
Day leans up and kisses her cheek. "You won't regret it♥️"
Zarei pauses.
"How the hell did you do that with your voice?"
