It was an ordinary day in the Matsuno household and the brothers were doing their daily activities in the living room like nothing ever exciting happened in the house anyway. Although, Osomatsu was nowhere to be seen with them as he was missing from the group while the rest of his brothers did not seem to care as to where he could end up being off the entire time. "Hey guys look what I got!" Osomatsu shouted, waving what appeared to be two tickets on his hand. He was excited to show something for his brothers even though they did not seem to care about what it was thinking it might be another boring present from their eldest brother.
"Why do you have only two tickets you selfish bastard?!" Choromatsu had his arm resting on the table with his face resting on his hand feeling quite annoyed with what his brother was going to respond next to him.
"Because I only got them specifically for two of the most important brothers in the world" he said with a cheerful look on his face. Osomatsu was acting suspiciously like he had something planned for them yet strange that his own plan does not involve himself in it. The brothers try and wonder what in the world could their eldest brother be planning on? It was not like Osomatsu to spend money on something like this, especially since this was for his brothers and not for himself this time which they find rather unusual.
“Oh Choromatsu you see” Osomatsu continues talking. “I got these tickets because you and Ichimatsu are going on an all expense paid trip to the beach side! Look, I know you two usually don’t get along with each other since you guys are the most filled cans of anxiety I have ever known in my life, but I specifically planned this surprise trip for the both of you so that you guys can finally spend some quality time together. What do you say?” He swung his arm high with a disturbing happy smile on his face.
“This trip is a fucking joke…” Ichimatsu mumbled dissatisfied. “Yeah I agree,” said Choromatsu. “Also, how can we leave now if we just found out about it? How the hell are we supposed to get there anyway?!” He got angry.
“There is no need to worry my dear Choromacchannnn” Osomatsu leaned on to his brother like he always does as his form of an annoying habit he would often do. “In fact, I was to get you guys a rental car so that you can drive it and use it for a few days while you’re going away on your trip. The roads tend to be very difficult to get through so you brothers don’t have to worry about getting there by foot. Also, all your suitcases are already in the truck so you don’t have to worry about packing yourselves ^^” His brother acting all smug and shrugging his arms like there is definitely nothing to worry about as if he planned exactly everything for them and nothing would ever go wrong. The car he presented to them was an orange colored minivan which looked like a simple vehicle to use while going on a long road trip.
“I guess his cheapskate ass finally did something nice for once, huh?” Todomatsu questioned Osomatsu’s generosity which was rather strange for their eldest brother to be doing something like this since Osomatsu would usually spend his money on either something or only for himself.
“HEY I WANNA GO TOO!” Jyushimatsu got upset wanting to be interested in joining the car ride vacation trip with his other brothers as well. Although, no matter how persistent Jyushimatsu acted toward his brother, Osomatsu suggested that it was best to rather stay home and have this be an opportunity for Choromatsu and Ichimatsu to have this trip for some nice quality time together.
“Heh I guess I lost this prize oh well there is always next time” said Karamatsu telling a painful joke from a distance being completely ignored by his other brothers. He stood there frozen with his cringey handsome face still intact crying ever so deeply inside. While that happened, Osomatsu is seen dragging Choromatsu and Ichimatsu onto their vehicle along with some essentials that he brought for them to take during the long trip.
“YOU KNOW I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!” Choromatsu was peeved about the circumstance knowing darn well that Osomatsu would do something like this and never tell his certain brother about most things that often go on around here. “WHY DIDN’T YOU MENTION ABOUT THIS TO ME BEFORE DECIDING ON DOING THIS!!!” Choromatsu did not want to go on this trip knowing he was never giving any consent from Osomatsu until the very last minute much to his surprise but his brother ignored his complaining and remained keeping everything positive with a smile on his face.
“Oh don’t worry” said Osomatsu while pushing his brothers trying his best to ignore everything that was coming out of his persistent brother’s mouth. “I’m sure you two will have a nice time once you get there, come oooon” Osomatsu pushed his brothers into getting into their rental car and already had their luggage packed for them with the help of the other three brothers of course.
Choromatsu and Ichimatsu got into the orange vehicle where Choromatsu was the one on the driver’s seat while Ichimatsu was sitting on the passenger seat of the car. He inserted the key into the ignition and started the car already once the engine had started running. Once the car had moved, they left already while the brothers waved their hands goodbye to them. So far, they have driven for quite some time now, at least about an hour and a half now. They have driven away from the city where they now have reached a deserted canyon in the middle of nowhere. There was no grass nor other forms of life anywhere except maybe some cow skulls and buzzards. Everything was dry and rocky at this point despite them literally going through a straight line the entire time. After driving for about two hours now, Choromatsu starts to feel a little concerned about where exactly they are supposed to be going.
He asked his brother Ichimatsu to give him any directions on where the map should take them. Unfortunately, that task seems to be all for nothing considering the only direction that has been instructed to go was only a straight line.
“Uhh it says to go straight…” Ichimatsu said been giving out the same direction for two whole hours. However, Choromatsu was not having it as he realized something was not right about the instructions they were given to get there.
“W-what do you mean just go straight?! I've been driving in a straight line for like forever now!” He wanted to see the map himself as Ichimatsu was kind enough to give it to him.
“Did idiot Osomatsu-niisan construct the map too?! Ahhh I should have known!!!” Choromatsu became even more pissed about their eldest brother and his lack of common sense of direction which is often a flaw that Osomatsu would have. As it turned out, the map was made by Osomatsu along with a trolling doodle on the bottom-right corner of the map which pissed off Choromatsu very much. “That bastard! Wait until I kill him once we get back!” Choromatsu said, tearing up the map into several pieces now scattered on the car. Ignoring the map from now on, Choromatsu continues to drive the car in a straight line when suddenly. The car had started to have difficulty moving on its own and by this point the car had suddenly stopped.
He tried to turn on the ignition again but the car was starting to have a difficult time moving its engine. Choromatsu struggled trying to get the car to start working again only to realize that the needle on the gas tank was all the way down to “E” indicated that car now has an empty gas tank
“Oh great” Choromatsu complained once again. “Now the car is all out of gas!” He wanted to cry over the situation but decided to let out a big scream out of frustration.

“Yes” the cop responded. “Apparently, I found these two in the middle of the canyon yesterday. They were trapped inside their vehicle which is severely dangerous when being in scorching temperatures like that. Luckily, I was able to break them free before any damage was done to the both of them. It was a good thing we were able to find them as soon as possible or your brothers could have died from intense heat and severe dehydration.” He kept going on the warnings and safety about driving while the brothers did not want to hear from him anymore.
“Good to know officer thanks for bringing them home” Osomatsu appreciated the cop’s remark on them although it seems he appreciated it all too well. After that, they finally closed the front door and took the brothers upstairs to their bedroom to rest. While they were sleeping, the other four were standing in the hallway having an important discussion.
“Okay but get this” Todomatsu spoke first. “Why on earth would anyone be allowed to purchase a car without checking its conditions first? Did the dealership know about the broken car? Or maybe it was in good condition and someone tried sabotaging it” He spoke with a keen sense in his eyes covering his mouth.
“Maybe the car was stupid” Jyushimatsu pointed it out assuming that a car would actually have feelings like an actual human being. A common thing Jyushimatsu would think about but also a good point on his part.
“Of course why rent a car with a broken air conditioner?” Karamatsu also questioned the mystery about the rental car that suddenly stopped working during the trip. Osomatsu just casually walked away from the situation and did not want to be seen by his other brothers.
While the brothers were in the hallway talking this over, Choromatsu and Ichimatsu are on the futon sleeping together with their staring real close to each other. Overall, they did not suspect anything wrong had happened yesterday, possibly because they almost died from heat exhaustion that almost made them lose their sense of concentration but that is just a theory. Just then, Ichimatsu was slowly waking up from his rest only to see his brother Choromatsu staring at him. He woke his brother up while the both of them were smiling now holding hands and touching their legs together under the blanket.
“This is our secret, okay?” Ichimatsu whispered to his brother, all happy and satisfied while Choromatsu felt the same way. He shook his head “yes” then the two went back to sleep cuddling each other while an argument was still going on in the hallway but quickly ignored it.
Until the end, no one knew what exactly happened to Choromatsu and Ichimatsu on that day, not even the police officer that was helping them when the two got stranded in the middle of the canyon. Everything seemed to be calm after the whole situation just ended abruptly. Well, everyone except Osomatsu at least since he pretty much knew what really went on between the two of them since he was the one that planned this whole trip specifically for them in the first place. Some things meant such as in the trip were actually made for the two brothers to spend time with each other since they are a pairing that is usually not so common towards society. In other words, the trip was established for the both of them to get closer with each other, that is if the car breaking down was meant to be on purpose or it was probably only a coincidence for that matter. In conclusion, this certainly was a wild experience for both Choromatsu and Ichimatsu. From this point on, the two are now closer than ever before and might probably be inseparable from now on. Was Osomatsu actually trying to be generous for once or knew about the car being broken the entire time?
