SCP-800

Summary:

Philza Craft was no outsider when it came to SCP’s, He was familiar with almost all of the contained ones so far. Doing extensive research in his years leading up to now. He’d “tamed” as the foundation put it quite a few different ones. Having done so much with them you’d think he wouldn’t be surprised when asked to take a look at a new SCP that was found in the outskirts of Essempi. You’d be very wrong, Essempi wasn’t known for asking for help especially not when it came to this.

Or Author got obsessed with the SCP foundation and decided to make an impulse fic based on it

and yes we're ignoring that scp-800 already exists

Chapter 1: Caged

Chapter Text

Ranboo was terrified, to say the least, It had only been around 4 months since he had gotten separated from their haunting and captured by these humans. It had been about a week since he had been transferred to their new, “Containment Area” as the humans called it. To put it short, they hated it. All he wanted was to go live back in the forest, With their haunting where he belonged. But no, Humans decided to take him and trap them here.

This new place was slightly better than before, so far they didn’t have to worry about them prodding around at him when in a half-aware state. Usually, the main human to visit would be smile-mask. Smile-Mask was his least favorite. It always had a habit of getting too close and ignoring Ranboo’s warnings. Although smile-mask still never got close enough for Ranboo to attack it. Something was off after smile-mask’s last visit.

Ranboo barely slept that night, not that they needed it, but with the feeling of something happening soon, they weren’t going to let it just sneak upon him. The next morning came quickly, was it even morning? They could never really tell, having no windows does that to someone. It didn’t matter anyway, his ears swiveled to make out the sound of muffled voices outside of what they considered a cell.

His gaze turned to the door quickly, Pushing themself back into a corner as far as they could without harming themselves with the chains of restraints. His pupils turned to slits as he watched a man with piercing blue eyes peer into the room. The human's gaze looked like it softened at the sight of them. Ranboo did what he did best when the door finally opened, a low yet somewhat loud growl drawing itself from their throat both tails lashing. Hitting the ground and walls around them with light thuds. After a few dragged-out minutes, In stepped the same human he’d spotted in the door window.

It was a long journey, to say the least, L’manburg being well over 12 hours away. Although never boring as he brought his boys along with him. Twins, Techno and Wilbur. You wouldn’t be able to guess as they were almost opposites, Techno being the strong, serious, monotonous one and Wilbur being the playful, sociable, yet mischievous one.

The hours luckily went by surprisingly fast, Maybe it was the playful banter and constant conversation between the twins that made it seem so short. As they pulled up to the main lab in Essempi they were created by The Dream Team. A group of high-ranking researchers. Dream, George, and Sapnap. “Alright mate, what did you all find that required us to be here?” Phil asked once the other two had exited the car and stood beside him.

Dream looked nervous, even with his face being covered the man's body language changed significantly once the subject was addressed. He let out a soft breath before talking, “I think it's best if you see it and its file for yourself.” He turned and gestured for the others to follow him into the lab. Techno, Wilbur, and Phil all exchanged a glance before following.

Phil adjusted his lab coat lightly as they made their way down into the basement and towards a back corner. He could hear faint noises coming from Containment Cell they’d eventually stop at. His curiosity grew much more at that. He glanced into the window of the door to the containment cell. Though his attention turned back to Dream as he heard the man rummaging through things.

“Here we go,” He said before handing over the file he had found to Phil. “That's its file, It was found a few months ago, they transferred it here late last week. We’re hoping to find a way to calm it down enough for us to figure out what the hell it is” George spoke from beside Dream. “We’ll take a look then,” Phil said before opening the file to see what they knew about the creature.

Phil read the file aloud, Wilbur and Techno listening intently to the description of the creature.

Item # : SCP-800

Containment Class : Euclid

Disruption Class : Dark

Risk : Caution

Level 3 Confidential

Containment Procedures : SCP-800 is to be restrained and contained in a confined room with only one exit.

Description : SCP-800 is a tall monochromatic creature, standing at approximately 6 feet 7 inches. SCP-800’s skin is split almost perfectly down the center of its body, white flecking the black side in some spots. Researchers believe it’s caused by something similar to vitiligo. SCP-800 has both humanistic and non-humanistic traits. SCP-800 has hair coming down to about its shoulders, split in the same way as its body. Its arms are humanoid, Legs take more of an animal-like shape similar to that of an anthropomorphic dog. SCP-800’s hands are human-like, with 5 fingers on each but its nails come out to a point, Making them claw-like. Its feet are similar, they are paw-like and have sharp claws that seem to be retractable. Its ears are long and pointed, they also seem to be able to move them at will. SCP-800 has two tails, one black one white, puffs of fur at the end of each in the opposite color. SCP-800 has Heterochromia, the Right eye being a vibrant red and the left eye being a vibrant green. SCP-800’s eyes are cat-like and its pupils dilate depending on its mood. Any personnel to interact with SCP-800 should watch its eyes carefully to avoid injury. SCP-800 is believed to be sentient, communicating through sounds rather than words. Researchers are unaware of what SCP-800 is trying to say.

SCP-800 has been found to tamper with memories, They seem to be able to control it as it has only done it to a select few of the Class D personnel that have entered its containment area. They can completely wipe or manipulate the personnel’s memories. Effects of this only last a few hours on average and personnel receive all memories back in the end. SCP-800 has lashed out and attacked facility members before, it is to be handled with caution. If needed to be moved SCP-800 should be sedated and/or restrained completely while being transported for the safety of staff.

Below is a test from a previous facility

Researcher : “Alright, Personnel D-967 doors have been unlocked. Please enter SCP-800’s containment area now.”

D-967 moves into the containment area, A low growl like sound coming from the creature before them, not quite loud enough for the comm to pick up

Researcher : “It’s not showing signs of aggression, progress further”

D-967 : “Not showing signs of aggression?! Can you not hear that?!”

Researcher : “progress further D-967”

D-967 moves closer to SCP-800, They can see the glowing Red and Green eyes staring back at them.

D-967 : “It’s just staring? What do I do?”

Researcher : “speak to it, see if it can communicate”

D-967 : “SCP-800, hello?”

D-967 gets a response of a tilted head and a trill like sound from the creature

D-967 holds eye contact with SCP-800, its eyes seem to glow brighter

Then silence…

Researcher : “D-967 what's going on in there? Are you with us”

D-967 : “who are you? Where am I? What is that?!”

Before the researcher could respond another growl from SCP-800 is heard, this time much louder. Its followed by a scream from D-967

Researcher : “D-967?! What happened, Exit the Containment area immediately!”

D-967 runs from the room, meeting security and the researcher outside. Blood is dripping from their arm, 4 large claw marks span from their elbow to wrist. They’d been attacked by SCP-800.

<Log End 05/12/20** 15:40>

“That's all the info we’ve been able to gather on it, it doesn’t let us get close” Sapnap spoke up once Phil had finished reading out the file. “It's not too dangerous, right? I’ll go in and see what I can do,” Phil received quite a few nervous looks at that.

“You can go in, but you read its file it can and most likely will try to attack you” Dream stated. “Yeah, It’s almost gotten Dream every time he’s gone in there. Scared the hell out of him the first time.” George added on with a small snicker, Sapnap joining in.

“Oh shut the hell up both of you, The things a menace. “ Dream scoffed, giving an eye roll to his two friends. “Are you sure you want to go in there, Phil? What if it does its weird memory shit?” Finally one of the twins spoke up, clear worry lacing Wilburs words. “Then we’ll figure it out from there, We didn’t travel all this way for nothing. Wil, watch the surveillance camera, Tech guard the door just in case you need to come in.” Phil, of course, was sure these things weren’t going to be necessary but he’d hope it help lessen the others nervousness.

Phil took in a deep breath before approaching the door to the containment area, pulling out his keycard and swiping it. The door unlocked and he slowly pushed it open, closing it carefully behind him. The instant he stepped into the room he was met with growling. Luckily the room was well lit and he was able to get a good look at the creature. He took a cautious few steps towards it, Its growls grew louder and it desperately tried to get away. Of course, it couldn’t go very far, the room wasn’t large and the chains attached to it didn’t allow for much movement.

Phil moved to sit down just out of the SCP’s reach. It didn’t seem to appreciate that as it attempted to attack him almost immediately. Luckily, his placement was correct and its claws just missed him. Phil wasn’t sure if it understood common but it was worth a shot.

“Easy, I’m not here to harm you mate” He kept his words soft in an attempt to calm the creature. The growls died down and he got a trill and warble-like noise from the creature, its voice seemed to echo a bit as well. Its tails were still flicking lightly by its side and its pupils were no more than slits.

It seemed as if the creature was glaring at him. He didn’t blame it, He would also be freaked out if he was being kept chained up in a box with unfamiliar creatures visiting him. What he did next probably wasn’t the smartest idea he’d ever had. But it had worked in the past.

He slowly rose, approaching further with his arms held up in what was meant to be a pacifying gesture. That didn’t pass well with SCP-800 because the next thing he knew its lips had pulled back and it latched onto his arm. He let out a slight scream in pain at that.

Only a few seconds later security officers were breaking into the room, and not long after that, he heard a gunshot go off. The creature let go of him, letting out a staticky scream. Phil was quick to notice the dart that had lodged itself in the SCP’s arm. He was relieved to see that it was tranquilizers and not actual bullets. He backed away quickly, being met with Techno who was waiting just a few feet away. Phil cradled his injured arm tight to his chest as they exited the room. Being met with a worried Dream Team and Wilbur just outside of it.

“That definitely could’ve gone better”
