Chapter Text

the begging :

As his eyes landed on prince's real life figure when chasing Long Dian ,Cold fox couldn't help but notice that Prince is way smaller and thinner than his game self .

'a petite form , height: 163 meter , not the slightest hint of muscles ...'

it didn't take him so long to realise ,the truth :'HE IS A SHE!'

"prince you seem a bit short hmm?" he said , he didn't comment on the others apparence , practically because he didn't care whoever was that baby face cop , or classy princess . the most fun is this tranny lord in front of him .

she glared , her big eyes did nothing to hidevher rage "this little bro here, you seem a little young ?"

well... that's interesting !

he now wonders , how can a tiny thing have such blood thirst look comparable to the most skilled assassins of his syndicate .

and as fragile as she looks , like she could break into to pieces with just a simple hit from him .

however ,she owns so much potential for someone who doesn't have the slightest experience in real life , .

she could be one of the skilled fighters with her agility and smooth but precise moves in no time .

and he...

couldn't help but train her harder than the others .

"for you Prince fifty laps ."

for him Prince was like a rare hidden gem that needs to be polished .

Coldfox was one of the top assassins ,

and no matter who wanted to be his apprentice he declined , no bribing also no begging could change his mind .

when they finished with the fifty laps , it's time for the real deal .

handing his new student the best weapon for her , he observed her mouvement .

and annoyance crept in :

'what she is doing swinging her light sabre in such a sloppy way ? .

but the girl didn't realize her own potential yet .

he was disappointed

"this is real life ."she shouted.

'Sooo that's her deal !' she actually put limits to her straight , believing that she can't bring her fighting style into reality .

'so what she actually really needed is light push !'

"Hmph! Prince is bound by a mere concept like reality? "that sentence was a blow for the girl .

as she widened her eyes a look of realisation passed through her pretty face , she closed her eyes and remembered all the obstacles she had faced .

and charged to him after performing different slashes and chops .

"Prince !"her dangerous look sent shivers in his spine.he clutched his dagger tighter.

"from tommorw , you will spare with me beside running laps ."

"let's not wait until tomorrow ."his new student said with a determined look .

at that moment , they both shared a sadistic smirk , they are from the same species : wolfs that can't help but fight .

'as expected this week is gonna be interesting '

she won !

Prince won , she saved them all .
SHE managed to defeat the person even HE ' couldn't finish !

Cold fox didn't deny the pride swelling in his chest which barely showed in his face , just a soft smile ; if you call a smile the corner of your mouth turns 1 millimetres up for few seconds that's it .

'this is his creation'

'this is what he was looking for .'

'the shining Gem he discovered and polished neatly .'

however , no matter how delighted he was a part of him was annoyed as well .
wonder why?

'after defeating Long Dian one of the most dangerous terrorist mother earth has faced , and everything now is back to normal so there no need to further interactions with Prince in real life . right ?

She won't return and spare against him right ? the strong assassin felt nauseous , he really didn't like where this is going .'NO ! ' he cough himself 'I'am not usually like that' why should he get bothered by that .
he really needs to calm down .

'I don't care , I Don't Care , I DON'T CARE!' he repeated .

but , what he didn't expect is his heroine rushing back to his side in hope to learn more .

After few months of hard training ,
Prince successfully passed rank A , and she could keep up with her teacher now .
yet , she still came even though there is nothing he can teach her anymore .
when Fox asked her why she told him she won't go away until she defeats him first .

So as long as the student didn't surpasses the teacher , she ....won't leave ? so he will have not to be defeated , never be defeated.

however , it became harder .Each day , Prince is sharper stronger and faster . Ice Fox isn't so sure if he could hold on too much longer , his resolution wasn't enough to stop her .

Until that event :

when they were sparring as usual , Fox was in a tight spot . Prince took notice of this moment of weakness , ceasing the opportunity 'quickly !!! that's my chance !' Prince dashed and with a judo move a, as fast as she could , and her body weight pinned him to the ground , so he won't struggle .

"P-Prince !" he breathed with a mix of shock , pain an excitement .

frowning corrected :"it's Xiao Lan ." she too was in lost of breath and sweating so much .

Xiao Lan blinked

she finally did it , she managed to defeat the undefeatable , she can't believe it! 'it can't be ?'

"you didn't go easy on me, did you ? "Narrowed her eyes , suspicious of her teacher . Generally , he never gone easy on her . Never ! ; he treated her freely never been afraid to point out her faults and errors , thanks to him , she progressed in such short time , for him she was an equal , a respectable warrior with qualities that should be using and weaknesses she could work on. So the mere thought of him letting her win sent her to a rage 'was he deseperated to get rid of her that badly ? no it can't be ! he was enjoying himself ' she neve seen him smile as mush as he did this past few months .

"I didn't." her teacher admitted , cutting off her chain of thought .
even though he wanted to lie so badly , to say he was distracted by her gaze at least . it was unfair to her and her hard work .
here comes the painful truth : 'now everything is over .'

they stayed like this a few seconds , collecting herself she stood first and she gave him her hand a wide grin settled in her pretty face .
In a moment , as he took her hand , he pushed her back .
when her body landed against his , he gripped her in a tight hug . Feng Lan startled and embarrassed 'is Arteric Fox is hugging me ? WAIT ! this is ARTERIC FOX hugging me !' she quickly shoved him away and run away blushing .

Fox doesn't know what came over causing him to act like that .
preferring not to chase her ,
he layed on the cold ground , letting out a frustrated growl.' what's up with him ? he is not a pervert and now she definitely won't be back !'

it seems he likes her more than he wanted to acknowledge.
Not as a teacher liking a student , but a man liking a woman .
he wasn't sure about her though ... and how to get her .

She already have two fanboys who were stuck to her like a glue , quite determined and considering personality , in the game of love , he sure is a loser as he wasn't the helpless romantic type like Gui, or the gentle caring type like Wicked.

he can't offer her much but freedom .

freedom of being herself unlike wicked who is overprotective he would choke her or Gui who just too clingy and submissive .

Seeing as she didn't choose any of them yet , he still has an opportunity right ?

maybe he could try to get her to like him .

'odd ! so very odd!' lolidragon starred .'when did ArtericFox start following Prince literally everywhere , except maybe toilet that's it?'

Either in secoud life or in real life , IceFox behaviour seamed so startling and unusual for the clever elven Thief , wonder how?

First , ArtericFox never ever , took his job as a bodyguard seriously before , but now instead of being Kenshin's shadow as he always was , he became hers .

secounds cold fox never let her down for a spar , was 'Always' free as he welcomed the fighting spirit within her with his dangerous smirk and excited eyes .
lastly when she is exhausted , he would treat his student to drink tea with him and offer her different types of cakes , and there was that time when I they had dinner together .

the beautiful elven raised an eyebrow ,'seriously her tranny friend seems to attract even the most bloody suitors .'first Gui and Wicked , then the Dictator Of Life himself and now this..... bloody dangerous thing .
she wasn't sure when or how it happened , but it seems that the young assassin has developed romantic feelings for the heroine who saved the world just recently .'interesting!'

As ArtericFox shot her an annoyed look , she forced herself to look away from them , lolidragon is completely sure that the observant assassin knew that she knew something was going on with them , at least from his part.

back in real life :

in Feng's house :

"I think ColdFox likes you......as a woman ."Shui Han added resting her head on the back of her hand . her suspicion was eating at her , she had to figure out how her friend feels about the matter .

Prince being as dense as she actually is wasn't helpful ,'I bet she isn't aware of her own feelings .' Shui Han signed internally ,'is it gonna change ? probably not in nine lifetimes' .

Xiao Lan looked up from her cup of noodles , slurping up noodles , the girl could only blink at first 'what the ? is she out off her mind .'and staring Long Shui Han serious expression , eventually
"Ha ! are you out of your mind Shui Han ? Ice Fox really?"breaking the silence
"I Am serious." affirmed the older girl .
"isn't he treating me like his student ." Feng Lan tried to find an explanation to her friends imbeleivable statement .

'oh God why is this girl being so dense .'
"Fine don't believe me if you want , when you it's true don't come back to your sister here "pointing at herself "for advice ".

few days later

Prince didn't believe lolidragon ,
as perceptive as her best friend was , very often she spouted nonsense . especially when she is bored and needed embarrassing her future sister in law for a good laugh .

she was obvious to it , until what happened in the spare room .

back then when he hugged her , if it's we call it ' a hug' ,she felt warm inside her heart .
it took everything in her to tear herself away from him .
'why did it feel so right ?'
she didn't know what to do now ,
but she always carved his presence and approving smile , when she got stronger or caught him off gard .

but didn't he like Kenshin? didn't he ask her to turn Kenshin to a female than sell him .

the thought was not pleasant , not at all .

meanwhile in the game :

As the assassin logged he was met with red hair of the cold swordman .The other was sipping tea and as he noticed his friend , nodded his head in acknowledgments .
"Talk ?"
"hnnn!"
" like prince ."
"you found ." Kenshin nodded again .", if you hurt her , I won't forgive you "
"are you her dad ?" ArtericFox raised an eyebrow .
"pretty close." the redhead swordman smirked .

Suddenly ,a shuffling between the bunches and a mass of white hair appeared.

as soon as Prince logged in , she searched for Kenshin to talk . however when she saw hes teacher besides the swordman , she hid herself
too embarrassed to meet him .

ArtericFox of course noticed her , 'does she really think I can't notice her ?'
anyway she likely didn't want to meet him , he excused himself and disappeared .

seeing her chance now ,she raised :
"Kenshin I have to talk to you .
"coldfox ?"
"how did you know?" Prince gaped.
"intuition ." he shrugged .
"he doesn't like me like that . actually he ..."
"what do you know ?" Kenshin interrupted her .
"he wanted me to turn you into a female then sell you to him .."
"not anymore ." he looked directly at her '
'what does he mean by that'

'Omg I am lost again'

she regretted not accompanying Kenshin back then , now she is in the middle of a forest alone .

'sould I confront him directly ? here on real life? Kenshin told me ArtericFox doesn't like him like that ?'
as the elf was immerged in her thoughts , she didn't notice the tiger beast appearing from nowhere , going after her .
however the beast was dead soon as appeared with a swift dagger throw into his forehead .
' that's her teacher famous move !'
and as she suspected .
a shadow of a person beside the trees turned to ArtericFox .
his eyes still narrowed at the place beast died just now .

"are you coming ?"ArtericFox leading her .
she smiled "I am coming and run to his side."

Real life :

Now that she put up her mind ,
she needed to see ColdFox '
she have to know if he likes her because .......she likes him back .

when Xiao Lan's met , the dark haired man
as his students lifted her eyes to sheepshly look into his , Xiao Lan tried to speak , to ask him if he has feelings for her , as she found it hard to even mutter one word and didn't really know how to begin . 'how can high school girls get the courage to confess to thier crushes ?' it's killing her .

IceFox knew where this was going , feelings weren't his best thing nor hers for the matter , both of them weren't let me say 'romantic ' in thier own way , he was too cold she was too dense .

he has to save them time from embarrassment and awkwardness .
So
IceFox put a finger on her lips shushing her , and leaned forward so he could stare directly at her eyes . his eyes softened and radiated feelings and emotions he would never put in words .
Xiao Lan swallowed hard 'he is so clooose !'
"I do " and IceFox captured her lips for a kiss .

'How does a guy act around the girl he liked ? '

ArtericFox swirled his drink around as he stared off into the distance , thinking about how should he act with his girlfriend , liking someone is a new feeling for the young assassin , and he for the first time was lost , completely lost in what to do .

it feels like nothing has really changed between them , after that kiss , not like he wanted them to be like lovey dovey and muchy couples he was disgusted with , but there was a part of him that wished at least she would be more aware of him now , or maybe initiate some 'slight romantic gestures .'
being just a couple with name wasn't enough.

"let it be ." said the swordman besides him as he caught his friend's train of thought as usual .
Kenshin always sees through his facade , understood him like no other but sometimes it's annoying , especially now as he is
trying his best to hide his embarrassment .
kenshin smirked "Young love ." this situation is hilarious , especially for an introvert ISTP* like this guy .
Fox grunted ."shut up " .

Real life

ok , he is definitely going insane.
the black haired guy stared blankly at the book he just bought.
he grimaced right in the middle of the sidewalk .

'okay Xiao Lan you usually don't share your food but this is a serious situation ..

"here !" Xiao Lan reluctantly offered one of the many pieces of different types of cakes she has .

ArtericFox started to make his way out of the castle with Prince .

silently and slowly , he reached for her hand . Prince startled at first , turned to the Assassin .

they walked silent hand in hand , he noted that her steps were quite edgy , and was staring at nowhere in particular on the opposite of him . with light blush decorating her cheeks.

ArtericFox smirked : "mission accomplished!"

ArtericFox let out a long sigh .'he wished his problems would be at least more normal .'

he likes his girlfriend mind you , not just a simple "
'like' , but a mix of respect pride amazement and especially love .

she wasn't the ordinary twenty year old girl people thought she was ,far from it actually
she was a strong warrior and the supreme leader of a large group of exceptional people and three artificial intelligences who responded to her absolute words without the slightest hesitation.

One thing that Arteric Fox feared taht she would be like the girls who were clingy and overly emotional , drama is not really his thing .
but his girlfriend was something else .
well she is not clingy at all , on contrary the type that forgets she even has a boyfriend .

she would go to Paris , algiers , london doing tourism and god knows what .

and the way he find out .
nope not a call , or message .
actually it's the news and newspaper headlines.

he remembers her facination with his daggers , the special diamond daggers that could cut into literally anything.

in her birthday he ordered a special weapon just for her.
using syndicate's power and connections with best weapon industries .

the president of one of the strongest weapon industries in the world raised an eyebrow .
"shouldn't you get her a necklace ?"

so he waited until they were the only ones standing in the room .

as she opened it her eyebrows raised in confusion .

that's a kitchen knife !

but when lifting the knife she realised something , this kitchen knife is waay heavier than the other normal knives.

"try cutting this ."he smirked as he throw an iron stick .

with a simple slash , the hard metal split in two .

enjoying the feeling she cut it into million pieces .

Xiao Lan turned to her boyfriend grinning and eyes sparkling .

fox leaned in , taking advantage of the girl besides him not paying attention and kissing her on the lips .
taken by surprise , she dropped the knife which pierced the floor next to them .

"ooops ." her mom gonna kill her .
