Summary:

Robin loved a lot of things.

And Finn loved him.

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

Robin loved Beatles music, loved going to the remote pond, just outside the city limits, to get his feet wet there when the heat made you start to melt.

He loved birds, especially goldfinches. Yellow ones.

I liked pins and braces to keep my hair out of my eyes, and I liked to curl black strands on my fingers and bite my lip pensively.

I liked cold autumn evenings, the leaves rustling under my feet, the birds flying south, and I could look at them far away.

Loved Lacky Strike cigarettes with cherries, and watching beach episodes of old American shows on TV.

Loved sunbathing and going shirtless in thirty degree heat, also loved peppermint flavored gum and all kinds of chocolate.

Liked to fight, liked to draw when no one was looking and then show his sketches to Blake. Loved pushing on a pencil and biting the tip off.

Liked to dab himself with paint and draw with his fingers.

Loved tight jeans and pictures.

Loved sneakers, and shopping, touching every little thing and not neglecting to show it to Finn.

Loved calling Blake Finn, not Finny like the others, no, Robin liked to stand out.

Liked to give Finn a gentle nudge with his elbow to draw his attention to himself.

Loved coffee and milk, liked to open the window at night, letting the quiet breeze into the room.

Loved throwing things around so only he knew where things were.

Loved bubbly and superhero comics.

Loved yard cats, and scaring the girls by showing them dead rats.

Liked to lean on Finney when class was too boring.

Liked to play console games.

Loved spending time with Finny, loved touching his lips with his frayed fingers, touching his cheeks with the back of his hand where the blood-stained bandages showed.

Loved picking up pretty pebbles and hiding them in the bottom drawer of his nightstand.

Loved shirts with big necklines, loved embarrassing Finn by saying something in his ear.

Robin loved a lot of things.

And Finn loved him.

Robin also loved lilacs. It's on his tombstone.

Notes:

you know, I didn't think I'd write glass on them
