The Rise and fall of Carlos Calaca

Summary:

Once, there was a famous bullfighter called Carlos Calaca, who made a deal with the devil. In another life, he would have been the greatest bullfighter in the world. But, this is not that story, rather this is the tale of what happened before Juan became a luchador hero and travelled in time during his second.

A long, long time ago in, there was a famous bullfighter called Carlos Calaca, he was considered to be the most handsome bullfighter in all of the world. Several fans lined up to watch him perform, he literally had been old money, in a family of famous bullfighters. Normally most people would want to settle down and recover from an injury that could potentially end their careers, but not Carlos, he wanted to be remembered forever.

Yet, tragedy struck on the Charreria festival, when he broke his arm in an accident. Then, the devil, El Diablo himself appeared when Carlos was at his lowest point and offered him a chance to make a deal. His soul in exchange for one chance to take part in the Charreria and for his arm to heal. It was too good a deal for a famous and vain bullfighter to pass up, unfortunately for the world in the future.

So, Carlos Calaca made a very ill advised deal with the devil. It was to fix his arm, on the day of the Charreria, because above all else, Carlos Calaca wanted to win the Charreria festival at all costs and did not want to wait. He probably should have waited, because his death happened, just as Carlos Calaca was about to receive the grand prize.

The Devil took him, when Carlos had turned 27 before the Charreria festival finished and Carlos could collect his award. Which is why you shouldn't make deals with demons and just call a doctor. Anyway as the years passed, Carlos grew envious and spiteful in the land of the dead, as everybody else in the land of the living, moved on from him and found new entertainers to adore, including wrestlers.

So, he thought up a plan, a horrible, dangerous and terrifying plan. One that would merge the worlds of the living and the dead.

First , Carlos Calaca gathered X'tabay the world hopping witch, Flame Face the Gunslinger and former arsonist, El Trio De La Muerte, a trio of undead skeletal mariachis and threatened Jaguar Jarvier's loved one to force him to join his cause. Then, X'tabay turned El Diablo, the devil himself into a chicken, while in El Inferno aka Hell's office.
