Hello everyone, first I want to let you know that I'm still learning English, so…. Have a little patience with me! AND …. So, this madness here is more of a fanfic idea, for anyone who wants to do it (please tell me if you're going to do it, I really want to see it), or who wants to throw more ideas here, or a divine soul has the patience to help me write . I don't know…. Only the future will tell (although, I used an app for most grammatical errors, dyslexia doesn't help me much, it will be hard for me to write this hahahaha)
So here are the ideas:
1-this fanfic was ABANDONED for YEARS and ended up being revived because of the movie and curiously while I was watching some new fics, I discovered the couple Bowser and Luigi (in the fanfics of "Same Man I Was Before" by DarkwingSnark and the series "Days " from Useless19), I didn't believe it, laughed at the madness, took it as a joke and read it curiously, the result…. I ended up liking the couple... I don't know how, but now I'm on the wave and I can't stop, so I made some changes to the old fic because of that, because Luigi was already the main character in the first version (I always liked him a lot) now I had to fit in a romance with the giant fire turtle hahahahaha. Weird? Yes, but I loved the madness (the first version is over 8 years old, which was abandoned, as it was an idea of a few pages, still written by hand). The story was more focused on comedy and adventures with Luigi taking into account the games, Super Mario Bros and the sequel, Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, Luigi Mansions, among others. I'll be honest that I don't remember much (I haven't played anything Nintendo for a long time, except Pokémon) but anyone who wants to help me remember or comment on something that would be cool in the story, I'd be very grateful!
2-This fic would be based both on the novelties, which were shown in the advertisements of the movie that will be released, as on the oldest games for the most current ones, but it is mainly focused on the games, because it has more characters and enemies, in particular the children of Bowser, that I would like them to be able to participate in the development of the story (for me, in addition to Junior, the Koopalings are also Bowser's children).
3- All the Kingdoms were at peace, after a treaty made for a more peaceful future, but Bowser and the inhabitants of his kingdom, would be very judged by past actions (just to confirm here, I have been thinking about the Beanbean Kingdom, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Island, Bowser's Kingdom and the Penguin Kingdom the last one I only put because it appeared in the movie and I laughed a lot, if anyone knows the names of these kingdoms I'd appreciate it, and if you have other ideas to add more kingdoms, I'd also like to hear it)
4- it would start like any normal day in the Mushroom Kingdom, everyone going about their business, and in the castle princess Peach with Toadsworth would be organizing a meeting, which will happen in the near future with the other Kingdoms, it would be a political and social meeting , to talk more about how the economist and population of each one is doing, and if it would need some agreement or commercial exchanges, and in the end there would be an event for fun (it could be a ball or a festival) with all the kingdoms, still to be thought )
5- I confess that I would like to cause chaos, and big discussions between the leaders and population between kingdoms, so as not to leave the story at a standstill, so I chose to take 4 enemies that make me very uncomfortable in games: Cackletta and his lackey Fawful, The Dark Star , Dimentio and finally King Boo. They would have their disagreements, but since they want to overthrow the kingdoms and control everything in the end, in addition to ending the Mario brothers, they agree to work together.
6 - I really want the Koopalings to interact with Luigi, because the connection with Bowser has to start somewhere. So, I can easily see Luigi helping Junior, when he gets hurt and tries to hide from his father and brothers, not to show weakness, so the green plumber finds the little koopa, takes care of him as much as possible and tries to cheer him up by offering a sweet (It could even be an Italian candy he made). Junior would tell his brothers, this spread among the children, and each would meet with Luigi and be helped by the blue whiting. Iggy would be supportive with some construction tips on his invention (for those who don't know, Iggy likes to make inventions, according to Nintendo Magazine). when Larry feels he needs to rest, as he was overworked, and wanted to escape the Browser's wrath after a prank, Luigi would help by telling him a place to sleep or let him stay at his house (or at the mansion since it would be much more hard to find him. In Wendy's case, I can only see him helping her buy makeup and a dress, giving opinions (I confess that I always find it funny that Luigi disguises himself as Princess Peach, and I always imagined him knowing how to put on makeup and groom himself to fool others. Those would be some ideas, I'm still thinking about the other kids.
7- bring back Mr. L, not as a villain, but as a “mask of comfort”, kind of how Luigi thinks he should be in order not to be in his brother's shadow, and tries to help without everyone knowing who he is. Like a more careful mission to get information from the villains, or help the other kingdoms without them knowing who he is, so it's not too obvious (let's be honest it's not too hard to tell because of the mustache, but ok…. this doesn't stand out as only Mario, Bowser and Princess Peach know who Mr. L) The green plumber couldn't talk in front of people, he would show up, do what he has to do and leave, giving it a more mysterious style . It is highlighted in the story that he will only do this out of sheer necessity, and because he wants help, even though he wants to do something he doesn't feel confident enough for the mission, so Mr. L would be that mask, that he feels comfortable and confident to act more boldly, showing his intelligence in built inventions and also strategy.
8- I know that a lot of people say that Luigi “has a bad side”, and like the game Mario & Luigi Partners in Time, that's why the star portal didn't let Luigi pass through it, but the creators themselves said that the plumber's “sin” it would be to belittle yourself, that's the “great doubt that stains your heart” the problem is that Luigi, always has the feeling of never being good enough, that he will always be his brother's shadow (even though he saved Mario in other games), and that he wants to be as good and amazing as his brother, Luigi in the past spread lies, saying that he did great things and adventures that never happened, this is shown in the Paper Mario game, because of this self-esteem problem, he always compared himself to Mario (but never told his brother, not to worry him) he will only get over this "shadow" that the stargate talks about, when he stops devaluing himself. Luigi admires his brother a lot, and always helps him in his adventures, supporting or saving him, he has to stop seeing himself as inferior, he doesn't need to be like his brother, he's amazing in his own way, being clumsy, but faithful and loyal, incredibly fearful, but still he already helps save others. Blue whiting is just different and with other skills, he has to be accepted, that would be his character building. (That's why I put Mr.L like this, in my mind, Luigi doesn't want to stand out as a great hero and surpass his brother, he just doesn't want to always be player 2, the green Mario, the replaceable one, he wants to be remembered as himself, a recognition for his actions).
9- I know this is very specific, but I wanted to bring Luigi's electrical power back, whether he's using it normally in the story or as Mr.L, just to remind everyone, this power was put into the Mario and Luigi game; Superstar Saga (it would make a nice difference between the brothers, one controls fire as nobody is the other has lightning as a power).
10 The enemies' strategy is to destroy the alliance of kingdoms by making them fight among themselves, and that way they can eliminate (don't read this as killing, ok?) the most important people in power, and nobody will know that he is, because everyone they will blame each other, and mainly Bowser's Kingdom will be the most accused of doing this. So the quartet will destroy all the kingdoms slowly and painfully, in addition to taking down the soldiers to make things worse, and leaving the kingdoms with the weakest defense. There is still a LOT of planning to do for this part.
11- one thing I really want to ask is… not to put mario and luigi in a relationship of hate and violence, they are brothers, of course there must be disagreements, discussions and different opinions, but… they are brothers, they help each other, one takes care of the other, the two care about the other, I can't see it any other way. They're both flawed and human, that's what makes them such beloved and incredible characters.
12- in terms of Luigi's mansion, I don't know if it would work for him to live there or for the mansion to be used as a vacation spot, with some updates of course, swimming pool, hydromassage place, invention room, a new library. games room…. and of course the place would be clean and tidy, as it was no longer derelict. However, I wonder if some of the ghosts that helped Luigi should live in the mansion as well, since Polterpup gets the green plumber, still to be seen.
13 - in terms of their romance, I know that Bowser is very desperate to get married, but I can't imagine him changing his interest in quick love or just because he wanted to pick up anyone in the grove, falling in love is fast, yes really, but I'm talking about something more, much more, something slow, intentional, with meaningful stories and experiences, yes I'm talking about LOVE. Bowser would have to notice Luigi, and who better to go on and on about a subject, over and over, repeating the same thing over and over again with GREAT ENERGY? Answer… 7 CHILDREN! CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS! IT DOESN'T MATTER. With his children's great interest in the green plumber, Bowser must be very suspicious, taking a protective stance, he is not sure if something is being architected to blame him, but he also finds it strange that, the brother of his greatest enemy, be helping and taking care of his children, the fearful green one, that he barely remembers the name.
14 In Bowser, the development of this character would be more focused on learning patience and empathy, knowing that your actions have a weight, and you won't always get everything you want, and sometimes not even what we want is what we REALLY NEED! It would be nice for him to start a friendship, learning what it's like to have a healthy relationship, beyond the family one (in my mind Browser is a great father), starting slowly, until at one funny moment comments begin to emerge, with very different thoughts of him related to blue whiting, and then people will start to question themselves (of course only those who really knew Bowser's behavior) but nobody would say anything because it would be fun to see giant king discovered.
