“Don’t you find it weird that, that guy was positive that Red Hood isn’t Batman’s oldest?” Barry asks Hal.
“Definitely. But he’s a psychopath who kidnapped us so I’m not sure how much of his shit we can believe.” Aquaman responds, walking up to the duo.
“Well, who would logically go through that much effort to kidnap ALL of us, for something that wasn’t real?” Barry argues,
“But that’s the thing. Nothing about this guy is logical. He’s LITERALLY a psychopath.” Hal says, they all look over to where Batman and Red Hood are interrogating the new villain. Nightwing and his team had swooped in just in time to save them before things got out of hand. “I for one think he’s lying. Because otherwise, that would mean that Red Hood has an older brother.”
“What’s wrong with him having an older brother?” Barry frowns,
“Its fucking Red Hood. Up until 2 years ago he was literally on the most wanted list. Not to mention he died and came back to life with a pit-induced rage and nearly tried to kill his successor.” Hal argues,
"Shushh.." Barry mutters shooting a look at where the Bat and Former Crime Lord were now discussing something.
“But that’s the thing that never quite fit right…” Aquaman says, both Barry and Hal look at him. “Red Hood’s death doesn’t match up quite right with the last time we saw Robin. At least before Red Robin came into the picture.”
“What do you mean?” Hal asks,
“Oh I get it. Aquaman’s right. There is a discrepancy there that’s never made sense.” Barry muses,
“Um.. helllooo. A little help?” Hal glares at them,
“How old was Robin when we first met him?” Barry asks,
“He was 8. I remember Wonder Woman getting all pissed at Bats for letting a child out.” Hal smiles at the memory, that was probably the only time any of them had ever seen Batman look guilty.
“And after that, we met Robin multiple times.” Aquaman continues, “Apparently when Red Hood died he was 15.”
“Yeah.. But…. The last time I met Robin before RR came into the picture Kid Flash was telling us that they celebrated his 18th birthday at the Titans Tower.” Hal mutters,
“Exactly. There’s an age discrepancy. How the fuck could Robin have died at 15 and still had an 18th birthday?” Barry asks,
“Maybe when he was resurrected he was turning 18?” Aquaman ventures,
“Yeah, but Lantern said that my nephew was there at the party. Red Hood barely talks to my nephew.” Barry responds,
“Wait… so let’s assume for a minute that Red Hood DOES have an older brother.” Hal says, “That would mean that he’s probably in his early or mid-twenties now and he’s a vigilante that's been trained by Batman since he was 8, he probably knows the ins and outs of almost all the heroes in the Justice League by now, and it wouldn't be much of a stretch to think that he's Batman's most trusted confidante.” They all pause to digest that.
“Yeah now I get your point Lantern.” Barry shudders, and Aquaman visibly pales.
“He would be terrifying…. The amount of knowledge and power he could have….” Aquaman whispers,
“He’d have the world on its knees for him…” Hal agrees,
“Hey, Whatcha guys talking about?” Nightwing appears they all jolt. But then relax.
“Nothing important… just that it was weird how positive psychobitch 3 was about Red Hood having an older brother.” Hal is the first one to recover from the minor heart attack.
“What’s weird about it?” Nightwing furrows his brow. The 3 of them exchange looks.
“Nothing… it’s just that… Red Hood having an older brother…”
“Is kinda terrifying…” Barry finishes Aquaman’s statement. Nightwing gives them a look that they can’t quite figure out.
"Well it's a good thing he probably doesn't have one." Nightwing chirps, there was a pause.
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN PROBABLY?!"
"I'm just saying Bats has hidden his kids before… what makes you think he isn't hiding another one?" Nightwing says casually as if he didn't just blow their minds.
