It was March 13th, meaning it was Jewel Day which was also Jewel Sparkles's birthday. However, she was all alone for her birthday with no special guests or anyone arriving, at least not yet. Jewel was sitting on the couch and watching the TV, flipping the channel to a girl in a cat costume meowing on the screen. Jewel was bored by what was just shown on the TV until she heard her doorbell ring. "Oh, my first guest finally arrived, like six hours later," Jewel said in a bored tone and went to go answer her door. It was Spot Splatter Splash, and Jewel had a scared, dreaded look on her face as soon as she saw her being her first guest.
"Oh no! It's you, Spot! The one who gets sick pleasure from sploshing me and everything! I want everything perfectly perfect for my birthday! And you're just gonna ruin it with your paint and whipped cream, I know you," Jewel said as she saw Spot arrive at her place. "What's wrong there? Come on, spill it," Spot told Jewel as she got inside the latter's place. Jewel sighed at Spot in response. "I don't get it. Each year, less and less Lalaloopsies show up to my birthday parties and they become 'un-birthdays'. Because of that, I'm missing the zing and specialness that usually comes with my birthdays. Not to mention, it seems like everyone forgot my birthday this year, except you, Spot, you mess lover," Jewel answered. Spot scoffed at what Jewel explained. "It's not over," Spot told Jewel. "What do you mean by that? You got your messy sploshing stuff with you?" Jewel asked. "Nope, not this time. Even better than that. I know it's your special day and all so I got a surprise for you," Spot answered.
The scene then cuts to the two in the bathroom at Spot's art studio, with a bunch of pies, made with just pudding and whipped cream, already prepared by Spot to seemingly pie Jewel with, but it turns out this was not gonna be the case. Jewel herself was holding a pie while Spot was smiling, sitting in the bathtub with her blue splattered dress still on. "Are you sure about this?" Jewel asked Spot. Spot widened her eyes in response. "I mean, I don't wanna impose. You're usually the one that does that to me with the pies and stuff, and you seem pretty happy while I'm here worried about the messes that'll approach me. It's like you're stepping above and beyond to make my birthday as messy and colorful as possible because, nobody else showed up until you arrived," Jewel said.
After saying that sentence Jewel went right ahead and pied Spot in the face, with Spot enjoying it being the mess lover she is. Jewel then put a pie on top of Spot's head, and another on her face as the messes really excited her a lot. "I love this! I love pie! Do more on me!" Spot said all excited. Jewel did just that and splatted two pies on Spot's blue splattered white dress as Spot sighed happily, licking some of the pie off her face. Jewel grabbed another pie and put it on Spot's face and rubbed it up into Spot's hair as she smiled throughout this whole messy experience. Globs of pudding and whipped cream dripped down Spot's face as she smiled at Jewel. "I guess this was a pretty good birthday after all. I got to stay clean this time while I gave you what you love and made you happy," Jewel told Spot. "Oh, get in there, you!" Spot said in response. "No thanks. But I got another surprise for you coming this October 25th," Jewel told Spot to end things off. Jewel had a great birthday this year after all: she got to stay clean this time, and get her splosher all messy and happy.
