Chapter Text
After packing up all of our shit we're standing there. I look at my family, and I said nothing. We had walked in the direction of the town that I felt; I was looking ahead, and I was worried. We had all stopped for food and rest; we're silent. We found an abandoned cart with horses and there are clothes. We looked around then we're getting dressed. I am silent, and we're in the cart; I have to be the one at the reins. The horse tells me what happened to it. “Don’t you mean a bobcat or mountain lion?” I asked. The horse looked at me and said no. I frowned. “a human killed your human driver.”
“Yes, that's what I said” the horse who says his name is Actius said as it looked back at me. “They moved fast, and they smelled weird they killed my owner and his family” I am silent, I shift quietly.
“Did they stab your owner or something” I asked looking at the horse. We had stopped after a few miles; I looked at the horse, and I was concerned with what Actius was telling me I shifted worried.
“No” Actius said. I looked at Ben and then at Jordan. “He grabbed my owner and then I smelled blood” the horse looked at me. I stopped brushing it and I look at it as I move quickly to face it.
“What” they all looked at me. “What do you mean you smelled blood did you see a shiny blade” I asked. “Are you sure they didn't stab him with a short dagger or something?” I asked Actius quietly.
“No, they didn't have a weapon they grabbed my owner and then when my owner fell his neck was ripped open” my eyes widen. I back up, and then I look at my parents and my mates; I took a breath.
“His name is Actius” I said. “He says his owner was murdered by a man who ripped out his throat with his teeth.” I shift as I look at my parents and then at my brother who is silent. They look at me.
“Well, that's not normal” My father said. “Humans can't rip the throat out of another human being not easily” he said. I was silent as I looked at Jordan as he came over to me as I pet Actius silently.
“We aren't on our own earth anymore, and I don't think we're even in our universe” I said. We're looking at each other, and we're back in the wagon to go to the town; then we're silent. We entered the town; it was Capua alright. I am standing with my eyes on the others; we're walking around, and I look around at the people. My father his aging is slowed as is my mother's; they both have the implant my father made too slow aging. We found a place and we're silent; I look at Jordan then I shifted. Ben decided to become a gladiator. I was in the audience, and Ben is a hit with the crowd.
I watch him fight he'd won fights; then his 6 months is up. I had been there for his fights. We stand together; I look at my parents, and I was worried. I consider my father and mother. We're all standing there together; we are going to leave. We are standing there; we are attacked on the road by slavers. I manage to escape from the slavers; I was running with my bag. I crash into what felt like a brick wall. I fell on my ass, and I groan lying on my back. “Who puts a brick wall in the middle of a forest” I say rubbing my forehead and I look and see feet I follow the feet all the way up.
‘Okay’ I thought not a brick wall. “Who're you?” I ask as I move to stand up. I stand up and I stare at the man; I am being grabbed, and I was bitten before I was yanked out of his grasp. I fell down through a portal; I fell hard. That didn't even phase me as I felt like I was being incinerated alive. The pain was horrible; I resist the urge to scream in pain. I am lying there writhing and then after an untold and unknown length of hours or maybe even days the pain fades. I was panting as I roll over and I was curled into a ball panting. I slowly rolled and was on my knees. I stand up.
I look around. I remembered everything of the past and everything I had suppressed during my childhood. I frowned looking around, and I am worried as I look around. I am concerned as I was silently staring at the sky and then I turn around looking in every direction. Where in the hell am I? I ponder the answer as I grab my bag and I went to run. I moved faster than ever before. I was fast, faster than A-Train, but this wasn't like A-Train speed, this was like Mach 1 type speed. I am silent as I look at the sky and I was confused as I poke my skin and I touch my face. Then I shift.
I have to find my family. I used my powers of location only to come up empty. That made me frown ‘Okay what the hell is going on’ I asked myself. I was silent as I turned looking around me. Then I moved until I found a village. I wasn't in the 1st century B.C. any more I wasn't sure where I am; the whole thing is weird. I was standing there as I look around me and I was shaking where am I?
This isn't my world; this wasn't my people, and I am shaking. I am looking around me; I am near water I smell it, and I ran toward the water. I stopped and I looked around. I grabbed my big hard makeup case, and I pull out the hand mirror. I looked at my neck and I gasp. I test the water then I was wetting a black scarf to wipe off the blood on my neck. I poke my skin it was a bit tender. I look around as I knelt there. I look into my eyes in the mirror, and then I put the mirror away. I quickly wash out my scarf which had been over my head. I was looking around me quietly.
I was shaky; I used my powers it took a few tries to get my full range of powers to work again after I was attacked. I was kneeling by the water confused, and I looked around; I was trying to figure out where I am. I was kneeling as I consider things. Then I used my ability to look through the eyes of animals; I was silently sitting there. I found nothing; I can't find my parents. I search a 2300-mile range in every direction. The birds were in every direction northeast southeast Northwest when I said every I meant every direction. I was switching from bird to bird and found nothing.
