⋆Star Butterfly⋆
I can't believe it's been 4 months without magic, it's weird to think I could live without it for so long, it's changed since earth merged with our kingdom. Eclipsa gave the Throne to my mom again, she thought that she's had her time(even though she was barely queen) she wanted to raise Meteora and not be stressed about the kingdom, atleast that's what I think shes never really told us. She also rebuilt the Butterfly castle and we all still live in it. It's really fun living with so many people, diners time is really great, Marco doesn't live in the castle anymore though, but the Diaz's do come from time to time.
Mewmans, humans and monster's together now. It's amazing.
It's been odd living with the best of both worlds though, unfortunately along with Eco Creek came high school, of course I loved seeing everyone but... School! Nope. I get to see Mariposa all the time though, she's so big now it's crazy, the been hard living without Glossaryck, even when Ludo had him and the spell book it was different knowing that he was alive eating pudding, in fact, I can't even stand to look at pudding anymore, I don't think Marco feels the same though, he never really liked Glossaryck even if he said he missed him, we all knew he was lying.
My mom and Eclipsa still host the royal summits, even though the High Commission is no longer here. It's been so weird this no magic thing- it feels like they're always here but are gone! Like Rhombulus' Crystals are still, everywhere! And Marcos as well as Heckapoo's scissors haven't disappeared, I assume they'd turn to dust or something.
Don't even get me started on how annoying Marc-
"Star!" I hear my mom call out from the hallway, as soon as she says that she comes bursting into the room, looking prim and perfect as ever, her crown is holding up her neatly done hair and she is wearing a beautiful gown with long satin gloves.
I put my pen down and close my journal.
"Hey mom! What's up?" I say to her happily. She gives me a slight smile and nods.
"C'mon now Star, get out of your pajamas and come with me, you're accompanying me to your first Royal Summit."
Me?!? I'm going to the royal meeting?!? I'm so excited!!!
"Now before you get to excited", I spoke way to soon, "this is a very important meeting and I think it's time your learn what's going on in the kingdom..." she says with and odd frown.
"Whats going on?"
I quickly run to my dresser and take out an outfit as my mom stands in silence taking way too long to answer.
"Never mind I'll find out soon. Wait for me!" I quickly put on my normal turquoise dress and sneakers, I look in the mirror to fix my hair putting my horns on, it's weird not having hearts on my cheeks, I feel incomplete in a way... or like naked? I don't know it's hard to explain.
"We're going to be late!" My mom says sighing and exiting my room, I quickly caught up beside her. We start pace walking to the meetings room.
"So... Where's Marco?" Mom says breaking the silence, she quickly glance down at me giving me a quick nod.
"Oh, he's at- actually I don't know where he is." I say, thinking abit to try and figure it out, "Nope, no clue." I say shrugging.
We were close to the meetings room. The stress of having to walk in here is real.
"Star, try to keep quiet, don't wish war on any one, speak only when spoken-" my mom begins to talk and I interrupt her.
"Blah, blah, blah, be a perfect princess, great!" I say walking to the room.
"No Star, I just- I...I don't want you to be mad at me or anyone else with the news-" she said.
I creased my eyebrows in confusion, "What are you talking about?"
Before she could answer my question, the doors open.

As the door opened the little whispers of the rulers of the other kingdoms fled the room, The Pony heads, The Lucitors, The Johansens, The Pigeons, The Waterfolk kingdom, The jaggy kingdom, the Spider Bite kingdom and of course the Butterflies, including sons and daughters of the rulers, Manfred, Former Queen and King; Eclipsa, Globglor as well as Buff Frog.
In the center of the room is a large table with gold accents as well as the chairs that sit with it, on one side are seats for the members of the Butterfly Castle, these people include,Former Queen Eclipsa,Former King Globgor, Buff Frog, Princess Star, Queen Moon as well as King River, along with their seats are 4 lit candles with paintings of each member Of the High Commission; Lekmet, Hekapoo, Rhombulus and Omniraxus Prime, on the wall was a large tapestry of Glossaryk.
Star Looked around to see if everyone was there, she quickly turned around to her mother with a confused look.
"Where's the Mayor of Eco Creek?" She asked, her mom looked down at her, eyeing the seat indicating that she should sit down.
"This is a private meeting, he'll not be attending." She said.
Star sat between her mom and Eclipsa.
"Oh, hello Sweetie!" Eclipsa greeted her with her normal happy attitude.
"Hey Eclipsa, do you know what's the deal with this meeting, the Mayor isn't here and everyone has been really quiet since we arrived?" Star said.
"Well, you're about to find out-" Manfred interrupted Eclipsa just as she was about to continue.
"Now that everyone is here, the meeting may begin." Manfred said loud enough to get everyone's attention. Manfred looked at Sean to start taking down the minutes.
All the representatives of the kingdoms sat quietly waiting for the next agenda of the summit.
Queen Moon lifted from her seat and so did King River.
"Good morning everyone. As you know by now... some of you..." she begins suggesting to Star and rest of the heirs to the kingdoms. "We are here to discuss the... Human problem...", Star was shocked at her mother's statement as they both sat back down. She tries to keep her commentary to herself, trying to keep her Mothers wishes.
"Agreed Queen Moon. All these attacks need to end." King Pony Head exclaims, just as he said that the king and queen spider bite nodded. Star was stunned. How did she not know about this? She's most literally the next heir to the Butterfly Throne. "I suggest we take the vote now. It's time they knew." He continued. 'They' as in the next heirs.
All the heirs have been quite through all of this, probably told by their parents to keep quite as well. Not even Princess Pony head had spoken.
"I don't think it's very necess-" Moon was interrupted by King Dave Lucitor.
"Queen Moon Im going to stop you there, may I? If this is because you've been hiding it from Star it's best we tell her now before we can't stop it." King Dave said. Star frowned and looked at her mother and father.
"Tell me what?" She asked, trying to put up a smile to hide her confusion. Moon rolled her eyes and sighed.
"Fine." She began as she glared at Dave. "We tried to stall telling you this but it's time. It has something to do with the magic." She continued.
Star stared with a blank look. "I mean- Star we figured out a way to bring back magic."
Stars eyes grow in disbelief. "That's not possible. We destroyed magic! That shouldn't even be a plan. I thought that everything was okay!? I-why didn't you tell me, Pony? Did you know?!" She looks at her best friend, with a worried yet guilty expression she looks away not even making a sound.
She then looked at Rich Pigeon who also didn't look up, neither did Tom Lucitor. Everyone hid it from her. She looked at Eclipsa and Globglor, they didn't look at her either.
"Darling, you couldn't handle there being no magic. We didn't want to stress you because you've tried to change and Help with everything." Eclipse says . "We didn't mean any harm." She says quietly.
Star looks around to only see the faces of guilty people around her. "It's okay!", she said with a slight scratch in her throat not sounding so sure. "Honestly guys! You hid it for a good reason, I can admit, coming up with the idea to end all magic was abit of a stretch but I mean, hey! Worth a try..." She rambled on.
Silence.
"For sure girl! You did what had to be done to save the Kingdom." Pony tried to lighten the mood.
With that everyone agreed and so the summit went on.
"So... why do we need to restore magic?" Star asked everyone.
Everyone looked around the room as if they were waiting for someone to speak first.
A faint sigh came out of Prince Rich Pigeons beak as he glared at everyone. "Humans have been trying to invade land by inflicting wars upon Kingdoms." He states.
Star furrowed her brows and so did most the Heirs.
"Yes, The humans have been using magic from the underworld so... dark magic, yes?" Buff Frog says trying to get to the point.
"There's magic in the underworld?", Star asked,"How's there magic in the underworld? And if it's dark magic that's not right? There Can't be Elclipsa? Mom? Your arms and hands are clean-"
"Star, we were cleaved when we destroyed magic." Her mother points out, "well I was before that if you do recall the events."
"Anyway. The Magical High Commission was in charge of all magic and who used it, since no one was able to assess the underworlds magic intake due to a loop hole. Humans got their hands on magic. They've been using dark magic to Destroy the vegetation in Mewni as well as they're building an army. A big one." King Dave said.
King Pony Head floated up and with that all the rulers did so as well and so did Elclipsa, Buff Frog and Globgor. "Us, as the Rulers of the kingdoms thought that before making a decision we see your view as the heirs because it's your future." King Pony head announced. "We have put up a vote. The plan with the most votes is the one we will put into motion." He continued to say.
"Wait what's this vote about though?" Pony head asked. With a confused expression Tom agreed with her question.
"The vote is either we bring back magic to defeat the humans or we leave it as is and see who wins the war, so magic or no magic." King Dave explains.
"We're taking you all as the heirs in consideration because there are consequences to these actions. Earth may go back to its original dimension and we'll be separated from it once again, Glossaryk and The High Commission will be back too. It will be as if nothing ever changed." Queen Moon says with a smile.
Star glances at Tom who was already looking at her. "Guys! This is a hard decision why don't we all get some time to think about what we want. It's literally for the fate of Mewni, lots of consideration has to be made." Star says, smiling back at her mother.
"Fine I think the Heirs do need time." The King Spiderbite says.
"Okay, Manfred, I think that's it!" King River says, Manfred walks to the extremely large doors with his head held as high as always.
"Summit concluded, It will be continued tomorrow at the exact same time." He says.
Every one gets up and leaves immediately and So does Star before her mom could stop her. She was the last thing on Stars Mind right now, all she was thinking about is how she was going to tell Marco about all of this.

I can't believe my mom kept this from me. I can't believe I couldn't see that everyone didn't like the humans, I thought everyone was getting along so well, but it's all become so clear to me now.
I've been walking To Marcos place for afew minutes to see if he's home. I've been looking up at the sky and Clouds. It doesn't look as vibrant any more. I thought that everything outside would atleast stay. But that's changing too.
The humans have been trying to modernize Mewni in general, I don't think the Mewmans like that. I've Noticed to many fights as I've been walking here. Some I've never noticed before. I don't know who's in the wrong here Though.
I get to the Diaz's front door and Ring the door bell.

Marco opens the door holding Mariposa in his arms.
"Hey Star, come on in" he says getting back inside the house with that Star plops herself onto the couch with a deep sigh.
"I've had the worst day ever" she says closing her eyes.
Marco walks back into the living room with soda and cups.
"What's up." He asks a trying to make her sit up.
She looks at him with a soft smile and wraps her arms around his shoulders and Lets out another sigh.
"I have to make a really hard decision and if I don't do one The People of Mewni can get hurt and if I do the other one People I care will leave." She says frowning, she lets go of Marco and sits back on the couch.
"What's the decision?"
"To bring Back magic" she simply says looking at him.
"What?! You can do that?" He asks in shock.
"Found out today That there's a war, and the only way we can win is with magic.", Marco looked around in confusion.
"Since when has there been a war?! And with who? How'd they get magic too? This Makes zero sense Star."
"Marco it's a long story but Tomorrow all the rulers of Mewni are going to vote including the heirs and I. I don't know what to do Marco."
"Listen, go with what you feel is the best for you. I'm sure you'll make the right decision."
Stars eyes light up and she sits straight on the couch, "What would you do in this situation? I mean if you had to vote.", she asks anticipating his answer.
Marco sighs and thinks for a second. "I'd vote on no magic."
"What? Why?", Star furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"I missed the normal life I had." He says shrugging.
"The one you had before me..." Star began to talk before she had no effort to say more.
"Well yes. No magic no fights, nothing. Just a place where Mariposa and my parents are safe from any kind of harm.", as The words came out of Marcos mouth he glanced at Mariposa and gave a slight smile."I feel like it's my job to take of her. She needs the best big brother and I don't want her not knowing who I am." He continues, hoping that didn't hurt her feelings.
"Wait, so when I used magic you felt unsafe?" Star questions getting up. With the Marco got up too as Star slowly started pacing the room.
"Star that's not what I meant. I mean it would be safer without magic-"
"No Marco, Humans, humans have been using dark magic. Its more unsafe to not have magic." Star states. Marco shakes his head.
"Of course it's the humans." Marco says as he roles his eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Star says scrunching her face.
"You're basically human now Star. Do you even have proof that humans are the ones using it? Are you sure it's not the people of this kingdom who don't want us here?" Marco questions.
"We had a royal meeting Marco. King Dave even knows about the attacks because it's not only here." Star says.
"Yeah Okay Star. Why do you even have a vote on this?" Marco asks as he steps in front to prevent her from pacing anymore.
"Marco. I'm next in line to the Butterfly throne. Why wouldn't I be apart of it?-"
"I don't know. Maybe because just afew months ago you didn't even want to be Queen?" Marco points out.
"Okay whatever Marco I came here for advice and all you did was make this seem stupid." Star says walking to the door.
"Fine! Do what you want Star!" He shouts as she leaves.
As Star walks away from Marco's home, a lump forms in her throat as tears feel as if they'll soon stream out.

Why'd I shout at him? Why'd I leave! I need to apologize to Marco. Does he even want to hear from me?
Why'd it feel like such a terrible fight. He'll have dimensional scissors. It's not like we'll never see each other again.
This is another problem for another day. I try to rub my eyes to get rid of any excess tears as I walk back to the castle.
Afew moments later I'm met with Eclipsas beautiful roses. They look amazing. She planted several different colors everywhere and all of them look well taken care of.
"Hello sweetie!" Eclipsas voice had echoed through my ears and given me a fright.
"You startled me! Hi!", I said looking at with a smile.
Eclipsa frowned as she looked into my eyes. She can see I was crying,"oh, are you alright dear? What happened?"
"It's nothing. I just had a disagreement with Marco. He doesn't think we should bring back magic." I say she looks at be and smiles as she's walks over to me.
"Don't worry dear. No mater what you choose everything will be okay." She says reaching out for my hand.
"What about you, what are you voting for?" I ask smiling at her.
"I think we should bring magic back to Mewni, that was one of the greatest defense mechanisms we had and I will do anything to keep Mewni and Meteora safe.", Eclipsa says.
This is so hard. My heads telling me that it's best for the kingdom but another part of me feels like I'd be betraying Marco.
"Eclipsa..."
"Yes sweetie?" She answers
"Why'd you step down as Queen?" I ask. No one actually knows the reason and after what Marco said. I feel like I'm not supposed to be queen. I'm trying to be the best princess I can be, but how can I feel like that if I didn't want to be.
"Well. I felt like I've already had my fun in the sun, even if it wasn't so long I think it was for the best. I also want Meteora to grow up with a mother. I think she really needs that, or what do you know? She might take over St. Olga's again." Eclipsa says with a little smile on her face. I let out I slight chuckle and turn to look at the scenery I have right infront of me.
"I wasn't there for my daughter when she needed me most. I know it wasn't my doing but I owe this to my beautiful daughter. I love her so much and I hate that, that dreadful hag of a man did that to her." She continues.
"I didn't know you felt that way.", I say frowning, "I'm so sorry."
"No dear. It's not your fault. I'm actually happy this all happened. And that I met you." She says wrapping her arms tight around me as I do the same.
"I'm happy I met you too.", I say honestly.
Wait.
That's what Marco means. The safest place for Mariposa to stay and his parents. He and Eclipsa aren't so far apart here, but that's not going to be Mewni.
"I get it now." I say letting go of Eclipsa.
"Get what darling?" She says in response.
"What Marco meant!" I say.
"That's wonderful!"
"Thank you for the talk, Eclipsa it really meant a lot to me!" I say as I walk off, "Good night by the way." I say walking through the roses.
"Good night Sweetie!" She says as she continues to prune the roses.

After afew minutes of tossing and turning Star finally fell. It was then that she knew how Marco felt and she had a guilty feeling that she should go and apologize, but it was far too late.
The next morning Star felt confident in what her vote was, she got up early and waited for her mom so they could go together.
As her mom was walking through the corridors Star rushed to walk beside Queen Moon with a smile on her face.
"Good morning!" She said as cheerfully as she could.
"Oh you're up early." Her mom points out.
"Yep! And I'm ready for this meeting!" Star says with a little skip in her walk.
"That's great!"
The awkwardness between these too is really unbearable sometimes.
They walked in silence the rest of the way and as soon as they got to the room where the summit was held, all kingdom rulers were there.
"The meeting may commence." Manfred said as he motioned to Sean to start taking the minutes. The Butterflies sat down and Moon waited for someone to start.
King Pony head lifted and glanced at Moon as she nodded, "I suggest we start with the vote." He says confidently.
Everyone looks around to see if all agree.
"All in favour of there being no restoration of the magic. Please rise."
Manfred waited and looked around and so did everyone else.
No one stood up at all. Not a flinch, no sound nothing. You could even hear a pin drop if it were to happen.
"Very well. All in favour of the Butterflies Bringing back magic to all the dimensions and for earth to go back to the dimension which it came. Rise." Mafred said loudly. With that, Buff Frog And Queen Moon were the first to stand. Along came everyone, Eclipsa, Globgor, King Pony Head, King Dave, Prince Tom, Princess Pony Head and everyone in between.
The last person sitting was Star, she looked around as she got up.
Every single person was standing.
"It is settled without a doubt. The Kingdoms will once again use magic." Manfred called out.
