In the smallest details

Summary:

A collection of small stories centered around Raven, Starfire and their relationship.

Chapter Text

Missions always were difficult or extremely tiring, perhaps the aftermath was the worse part of it all. When after the beating, planing, running around and then more beating, all the effort comes crushing at you; making you feel the heaviest of the weights right on your shoulder.

But that was just a small inconvenience as it often comes with the sweet taste of victory, at least that's how it felt for Starfire, it was just natural too, being from a race of warriors, victory was enough reward.

Although she would admit, that having a nap or well, a deep coma kind of sleep sounds perfect right now; after having to run all day around because of some jackass getting a bunch of armed super destructive bombs all over the city, even when you can fly, it was exhausting.

Talking about that, since she could fly, the way to the tower was fast, a lot faster than most of her friends. Robin had to ride his motorcycle, Cyborg had his car and Beast Boy decided to tag along with Cyborg, they may go buy some pizza or something.

"Hello...?" The Tamaranean announced as she walked inside the living quarters of the tower, in the end there was only one Titan faster than her, certain half-demon with a sarcastic yet stoic attitude.

Star heard someone on the kitchen, certain about who it was, she floated inside the food fabrication room, there she saw Raven, floating in front of a tea kettle.

Perhaps she was ignoring the red haired or didn't know about her presence at all, so Star sit and waited, a cup of tea seemed wonderful before hitting the pillow.

"Want a cup?" The purple haired Titan asked serving the tea on her own cup.

"Yes please" Star answered with a smile.

A nod was enough as Raven pulled from the counter another cup, filling it swiftly, as she worked on it, Star couldn't get her eyes out of the ever so emotionless girl.

This kind of moments always felt special, Star noticed how Raven rarely did stuff like this for the other Titans, how she would be asking stuff to the Tamaranean, and it often got the girl out of balance and yet, slowly, she started to notice Raven in a different way.

How her eyes would have this special glint on them everytime she saw something she was passionate about, often being books. And lately, she find her often looking at Star's direction and it confused her.

"Star!" Pulled out of her thoughts about Raven, the Tamaranean girl blinked to find Raven offering the cup.

Taking it between both of her hands she mumbled a quick thank you and proceeded to take a sip.

And it didn't took her long to notice that Raven haven't walked or floated away, Star looked up just to find Raven slowly leaning so she could have a better look at something, a clear frown on her face.

"You are hurt..." She said.

"Huh?" Now that Raven mentioned it, her right eyebrow did hurt a little, she moved her hand to touch hissing when she touched the small injury.

"Ouch, I guess I got a little clumsy back there," Star smiled slightly before letting a soft laugh come out "I think it was when the bad guy used that weird gun and hit me."

Raven didn't said anything, just nodded in understanding, not noticing how her own hand found it's way towards Starfire cheek, Star looked straight at Raven's face, slowly tracing every detail with her eyes, from the gem on her forehead, to her eyes, those beautiful eyes and her lips, everything about the woman screaming gorgeous at Starfire.

"Rae... I-" but just when Star herself started to lean towards the other Titans hand, just feeling it barely, the ascensor door made it's usual «Ding!», and when the voices of the other Titans made it more clear that they were home, Raven took her hand away and turned around.

Putting her cloak's hood on again, Star gripped the cup and now looked at it like it was so interesting.

"Just... Be careful..." Raven said floating towards the entrance of the kitchen. "Please..."

Star felt her cheeks heat up, blushing. Then looking up at Raven, who looked seriously preoccupied.

"Ye...Yeah, I will," with that, Raven retreated to her room, meanwhile Star was left looking at the place where Raven just was, Robin and Beast Boy went inside the kitchen and both looked at each other in confusion, since Star was quiet and even more so strange, she looked focused on her own thoughts.

"Star? You okay?" Beast Boy asked.

She touched her own cheek, where she almost could feel the warmth of Raven's hands. Nodding she slowly turned her eyes towards the boys.

"Oh, friends! Hope you had the nicest of the rides." Star smiled as she began floating "I will go rest now, have a good of the nights."

"Uh... Uh huh" Robin nodded and Star already was on her way to her own bedroom.

A smile making it's way to her face, along with a blush and this funny feeling on her guts.
