Work Text:

Spot Splatter Splash and Jewel Sparkles were both in Scraps Stitched 'N' Sewn's castle escape room. "Hello and welcome to my castle," Scraps told Spot and Jewel. "Technically, this isn't Scraps' castle, we're in an office building that claims it's Scraps' castle," Jewel said. And Jewel is technically correct, it's a room with a computer in it where the two are starting off their adventure. "You're ruining the mood, Jewel! I'm sorry, Scraps, she tends to be like that, please go on," Spot said in response. "Where was I? Oh yeah, your goal is to escape from my horror chamber in 60 minutes, or else my ghosts will be coming to get you!" Scraps explained to Spot and Jewel. "There isn't such a thing as ghosts," Jewel said. "Please, no more ruining the mood," Spot told Jewel. "I'm Scraps Stitched 'N' Sewn, the room master, and you're welcome to enter the room. Once you go inside, I'll start the clock," Scraps explained to the two. "But what if we get stuck inside?" Jewel asked Spot. "Don't worry, Scraps will give us the clues," Spot answered. "That's right. But I'm going to 7-Eleven right now to buy a bottle of Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl, so I'll be back soon," Scraps said.

If you're wondering what the computer in the starting room is for, that computer is used by Scraps to follow the progress of those who end up getting locked in her room. "So can we go inside?" Spot asked Scraps. "Yes, please do as soon as possible, because I wanna go outside and buy myself this new Mountain Dew flavor," Scraps answered. "Are you ready for this adventure?" Spot asked Jewel. "Technically, this is not an adventure, it's a well moderated thrill. The risk factor hardly exists in this place," Jewel answered. "O...kay. Thanks for the info," Spot said as the two got into the escape room through the start door.

Spot opened up the drawer in the first room and found a meat fork. "There's a meat fork in here!" Spot said as she got the meat fork out of the drawer. "Oh, good, I'm hungry, let's find the meat if there's any here," Jewel told Spot. "No, you're missing the point, you must find another use for this meat fork," Spot explained to Jewel. "But why?" Jewel asked. Jewel was eyeing the door to the right. "That's the door we used to enter the room," Spot told Jewel. "So let's get out through this door too," Jewel said, clearly not cooperating. "No, that's not the goal of this game," Spot told Jewel. "This game stinks," Jewel said.

A closer look was taken at the calendar where the 14th was circled in blue, the 18th was circled in red, and the 27th was circled in green, which will probably come in handy for a later clue. There was a red safe to the left, in which the code to open it is unknown, for now. Spot was looking at the meat fork she was holding. "I'm not doing that. That could kill me. I wouldn't be dumb enough like Patrick Star to stick that in there," Spot said as she looked at the socket. Spot had an idea and gave Jewel the meat fork. "Hey, Jewel, stick this meat fork inside the socket," Spot told Jewel. "I'll electrocute myself if I do that," Jewel said. "No, you won't, it's just an escape simulation, so it's perfectly safe. You'll be fine," Spot told Jewel. "Okay, if you say so," Jewel said.

Jewel stuck the fork in the socket and didn't get electrocuted, but it was a simulation so a simulated electric shock was produced. Remember, kids, don't try this at home with an actual fork and socket. "See, I told you you'll be fine," Spot said as she saw Jewel perfectly fine after sticking the fork in the socket to shut off the power. "So, are you having fun?" Spot asked. "No, this place blows," Jewel answered. A glowing number, 1413, was shown written on the wall after the power was shut off. Spot entered the code "1413" into the safe, which opened the safe and there was a chainsaw inside, which Spot used to cut a big hole that's wide enough for a Lalaloopsy to go through into the door to the left of them. "Come, Jewel, go through this door," Spot told Jewel after cutting a big hole in it. "No way, this game's crazy, I'm staying here," Jewel said. "Fine, I'll solve it myself, and I'll show you I'm a room champion," Spot told Jewel.

Spot went through the big hole she just cut into the door, and went to the next part of the escape room. Above the door Spot went through, there were green, blue, and red dots above it. There's a coffin in the room to the left. On the right, there's a mirror with three bats with them being at the lowest point, second highest point and highest point respectively. Below that mirror, there was another safe with a list of three-symbol codes for each number from 0 to 9. "That must be Spot's coffin, but I can't get it open," Spot said as she tried to open the coffin but couldn't. The gate to the left was locked and Spot needed to find a way to open it.

The safe to the right needed a six-digit code. Spot went back to the previous room to try and find it, but Jewel was missing. "Where's Jewel?" Spot asked as she saw Jewel missing. Spot then remembered the three dates on the calendar were circled in different colors, and the three dots above the door were green, blue, and red in that order. With that being said, Spot entered the code "271418", which opened that safe to reveal an axe. Spot used the axe to chop open the coffin and some sort of block riddle was shown inside the coffin. Spot was confused at what that riddle was even showing, so she called Scraps on the phone for help. "Scraps, I'm stuck! Can I get a hint?" Spot asked Scraps on the phone. "Think of it as a box which rotates clockwise. With each rotation gravity takes its course and the cubes fall down," Scraps answered. There was a block thing on the wall with spaces in an L shape. Spot placed an orange block on the top row and placed red, purple, blue, and yellow in that order on the bottom, which opened the gate. Spot then carefully studied the three-symbol codes each digit represented, grabbed the umbrella, and moved to the next part of the room.

The door in the next room is locked, but there were three volume controls to the left. Spot went back to the previous room to look at the mirror with bats on it, and figured that must be the way to position the volume controls to get the next clue. Spot positioned the volume controls to the lowest point, second highest point, and highest point respectively, which opened a new clue door with circles in yellow, red, blue, and purple. Looking closer, the circles were clocks with numbers under them telling how many spaces the minute hand is from the hour hand. The first clock showed 2:25 with a 3 under it, the second clock showed 6:50 with a 4 under it, and the third clock showed 2:55 with an 8 under it. The clock to the right showed 4:35, and the number for that one must be 3. Spot went back to see the three-symbol codes, and the code for three was bird, reeds, and colon. Spot entered that code in, which opened another door which had a skull in it.

"I hear something rattling inside, but I can't get it out. The eye sockets are too small," Spot said as she rattled the skull around. The safe in that room needed to be unlocked with a color code, so Spot went back to the first room. Spot saw that the calendar had pins of these colors on each corner: red, yellow, blue, red. Spot went back to the safe and put the colors in the same positions as the pins on the calendar in the squares, which unlocked that safe, revealing a hammer. With the hammer, Spot smashed the skull open and found a key inside and used it to open the door.

The final part of the escape room was a bottomless chasm in between where she got there and the exit. "I gotta cross that bottomless pit if I wanna get through the door," Spot said. There was a cable above, which Spot could use to go to the other side, but she can't use her bare hands or else it'll give her rope burns. Spot then remembered the umbrella she got from earlier, so she put it on the cable, and rode the umbrella all the way to the exit door, and made it out of Scraps' escape room.

"I'm out! And I think I did it fast too," Spot said as she got to the end of the escape room. "And look who decided to join us," Scraps said. Yep, Jewel was there, presumably having came back because she didn't want to get too spooked or something. "We've been waiting for you for an hour," Jewel told Spot. "How'd you get out so fast, and why is your photo hanging on the wall?" Spot asked. "Jewel managed to get out so fast. I went off to 7-Eleven to buy myself a Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl, and when I got back here, she was already out. That's why she's our champion, and she also won the grand prize of $1,000," Scraps answered. "She must've gotten out through the door we went in!" Spot told Scraps. "Sounds to me like someone's jealous," Scraps said. Spot groaned as this Lalaloopsy adventure ends here. Little did Jewel know, that the computer in the room was there so Scraps could look at how each Lalaloopsy escaped the escape room, so if Scraps manages to find Jewel's progress on there, she will know Spot was telling the truth with that last sentence she said.
