Jimmy found Tango in the living room laying on his side, curled up into a ball.
His hair was ablaze and he was shaking.
“T-tango!” Jimmy says running over to his boyfriend, wings puffed up in concern.
He kneels down in front of the blaze hybrid.
“Can I touch you Tango?” Jimmy asks.
No response. Tango just keeps shaking.
Jimmy slowly lays a hand on Tango’s shoulder.
A burning pain flairs in Jimmy’s hand.
He pulls away with a yelp.
His hand is red.
Jimmy’s eyes go wide as he sees the blisters already forming on his hand.
“Tango, what’s going on?” Jimmy asks, tears already filling his vision from the pain.
The sound of his soulmate crying seems to snap Tango out of it.
He uncurls from himself, tears sliding down his face.
“J-Jimmy?” Tango says, he sits up and looks at the avian.
Jimmy’s vision is blurry from the tears.
He feels something cupping his injured hand.
“What happened?” Tango asks, looking at Jimmy’s burnt hand.
“I’m sorry I-I touched you.” Jimmy says, “I knew I should not have.” Jimmy says, tears sliding down his face from the pain.
Tango can feel his body cool.
“Oh Jimmy.”
