Etno closes the door to his lab, Bud is sitting idly eating a sandwich and Gorgious looks extremely nervous which is unusual for the big blue alien because he was always confident in everything he thought even if he was incorrect about it, but today was different, so what was it that he was so nervous about sharing with his friends.
“Ok so Gorgious, what is it that you wanna tell us that you don’t want Candy knowing?” Etno asked calmly.
Gorgious was sweating and quietly spoke up.
“I have feelings for Candy.”
The other two aliens stood there in silence.
Gorgious raised his eyebrow.
“Oh what is it guys do i have to spell it out for you i L-O-V-E Candy goddamn it!” He exclaimed.
Etno and Bud were still silent.
Gorgious got pissed off and stood up.
“Ok i dunno why you guys don’t get it but yes i LOVE Candy ok and every time i see her i just wanna give them a big kiss on there cute little face and tell them how pretty they are and how everytime i think of them i get all tense in my cro-.”
“Ok well that's too much information” Etno speaks up cutting Gorgious off.
“But Gorgious, we know and we have known for a very long time. I honestly knew there was some kind of uh tension between you two, which according to my endless hours of research you're in love with Candy.” Etno states in a slightly condescending tone of voice.
“Yeah well no shit sherlock, i just told you. But I don't get it. What made you think that?” Gorgious asked.
Etno rubs his nonexistent chin and adds.
“Well over the course of us living here I have observed you two, and what I have gathered is that you two act like an earthly married couple, you assume the role of the rather lazy and rude but still loving one, and Candy assumes the role of the ever loving but dramatic cleanfreak one. I mean you two certainly bicker like one. Also the way you two talk with each other is quite interesting to say the least, like that time i was in your body fighting off a bunch of germs, don’t think i didn’t hear how you two were talking, like the thigh rubbing thing or-”
Gorgious cuts Etno off.
“ALRIGHT I GET IT! We act like a married couple, big whoop. But I don't even know if she likes me that way.”
“Well then why don’t you ask them? Take them on what humans call a date. A real nice romantic outing just for the two of you.”
Gorgious smiles and replies.
“Hey that's actually not a bad idea, but uh one teensy little problem with that. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO BE ROMANTIC! I wanna make it the best possible “date” for Candy, because I know that she deserves the best possible date in the universe. So I dunno do you numbskulls have any ideas about how to make a really good date.”
Etno thought for a second and replied.
“Well unfortunately I'm not really well versed in the study of uh romance. Not really my strong suit, the only time I ever had a romantic relationship ended with her getting launched into space.”
Gorgious frowned and looked sad.
“Etno, Zibooya doesn’t count, she was in love with a different guy plus you two were never dating. Gorgious what i think you should do is just have a simple dinner date with Candy, get all dressed in your best clothes, give them some flowers and i can even whip up some totally romantic food for you two, like spaghetti!” Bud chimed in.
Gorgious perked up.
“Hey that's actually a good idea, i'm glad you got something rolling around in that brain of yours Bud.” He exclaimed while patting Bud on the back.
“Alright its settled im gonna go up to Candy and ask them if they wanna have a fancy dinner date with me and you two can help me out if i somehow fuck it up. Gorgious shouted and ran out of Etno’s lab to go find Candy.
Etno glared at Bud.
“Bud, do you even know how to make spaghetti?” Etno questioned.
“Nope, I have no idea.” he exclaimed while giving a goofy smile.
Etno rolled his eyes.
Gorgious waited a little until Candy was done cleaning (at least for now), and Gorgious knew that whenever Candy had finished their morning chores she would always reward themselves with a cup of tea, so while she sat in the kitchen sipping tea with some cookies, Gorgious ran up to them, which scared the living daylights out of the little green alien and making her shoot tea out of there nose in shock.
“GAHH! G-Gorgious you scared me, what's going on that you're running at me like that?” Candy asked, all startled.
Gorgious was breathing heavily from anxiety, after all he just made Candy scared enough to shoot tea out of her nose, so he was worried that she would be mad at him. But he calmed his nerves and asked them the question he had been rehearsing in his head all morning.
“Uh hi Candy sorry about scaring you, uh i just wanted to ask you something. Do you mind?”
Candy looked confused and coughed a bit from the tea and mucus all in their throat.
“Oh ok then sure what is it.” They asked in the sweet tone of voice they usually used, which made Gorgious blush a bit.
“I was wondering if you’d want to have a nice and urm fancy dinner with me, just me, only me, tonight. We can dress up for that and I'll make sure the house is nice and clean for you, so uh do you wanna do that.” He responded nervously.
Candy smiled all dreamily and sighed.
“Oh Gorgious that sounds wonderful, but are you sure i don’t have to clean the house again today it could get dirty and i wouldn’t want that to happen.” She exclaimed.
“Oh don’t worry about it sweetie, i’ll take care of everything you just go make yourself all pretty and stuff, go find a good dress and whatnot, alright i got everything covered.” He explained.
Candy swooned a bit at the pet name Gorgious called them suddenly, his confidence was back she thought.
“Oh thank you Gorgious that's so kind of you, say this sounds like you wanna plan a date with me that's so nice of you hehe.”
Gorgious was stunned and turned a bright red.
“Uhhh what date, hahaha, no this is just uhhh very friendly dinner uhh why don’t you go and uh brush your hair or something.” He said nervously while shoving Candy out of the kitchen.
And so for the rest of the day Gorgious made sure the house was perfectly spotless, Candy put on her best dress and wig, Bud sat in front of the tv learning how to cook spaghetti from the food network and Etno was trying to find the best possible outfit for Gorgious and also studying up on the art of love and dating just for good measure. Eventually the sun was setting, it was time Gorgious stood in Etno’s lab as he was being presented with the “perfect date look”.
“With a casual but attractive collared shirt buttoned down just enough to see your pectoral line, dress pants that are tight but not too tight but tight enough to show off the thighs, and a fedora to show you're a real gentleman. Put all those together and you have the perfect date night outfit according to science.” Etno explained.
Gorgious put the outfit on along with a fake mustache at the suggestion of Etno.
“Do you think Candy will like this?” Gorgious asked. “Cause I look like a nerd right now.”
“Pshhh, nonsense. She will totally like it now go and get them, tiger.” Etno said encouragingly.
Gorgious stood in the hall next to the stairs with the flowers he had gotten for Candy, some classic red roses, quite a cliche choice but Etno said some nerdy crap about how they were the most romantic flower or something. But Gorgious was quickly brought out of his thoughts when he saw Candy come down the stairs. She was wearing a shimmering red dress with red pumps, and gold jewelry, and with shimmery blue eyeshadow and red lipstick it complimented the blonde wig they were wearing, Gorgious blushed heavily. “SHIT!” He thought. “I feel so underdressed.”
Gorgious stood there in silence sweating.
“Uh Gorgious are you alright?” Candy asked.
“Oh yeah i'm good uh say Candy you look very pretty with that wig.” Gorgious said quietly.
“Oh thanks I made it myself hehe. Anyways, shall we get going?” She asked politely.
“Oh yes but first before I forget.” Gorgious hands Candy the roses. “I got you some flowers. I got them because they were very nice looking, like uh you.” Gorgious stated.
Candy’s face turned a deep red.
“Oh thank you Gorgious that so nice thank you, y’know your very handsome in that shirt of yours.” she replied.
“Oh thanks, (clears throat) should we get going?” Gorgious said.
Candy nodded and the two went into the dining room, which Bud had turned into a italian style restaurant somehow, he clearly had done his homework with the low lighting and deep red tablecloth it was made to be as stereotypically romantic as possible. The two took their seats and suddenly Etno, dressed like a waiter came up.
“Hello Mx Caramella, would you like me to put these flowers in a vase?” He asked poshly.
Candy nodded and Etno pulled a vase out of nowhere and stuck the flowers in it.
Gorgious was confused why he was dressed up like a waiter because that wasn’t in the plan, but regardless Candy was impressed by how much effort had been put into this “not a date” date. Etno then pulled two glasses of water from behind his back and placed them on the table.
“Your food will be ready soon,” he stated. He then walked near Gorgious on his way to the kitchen. “You owe me big time for this Gorgious” he added while whispering and he walked off leaving the two aliens at the table together.
“Oh Gorgious i must say, you really managed to make this place so wonderful looking i am just loving the color of the table cloth it's so romantic.” Candy swooned.
Gorgious couldn’t take it anymore he suddenly took Candy’s hand and shouted.
“OKAY I LIED EARLIER ABOUT THIS NOT BEING A DATE, CAUSE THIS IS A DATE AND I HAD BUD AND ETNO HELP ME WITH THIS CAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO BE ROMANTIC!”
Bud and Etno peeked in and looked shocked. Candy also looked shocked and turned a bright shade of red then took a big sip of water.
“Oh Gorgious i knew that hehe i mean it was quite obvious, the roses, the fancy outfits and the fact were here right now about to eat a fancy meal, it's quite literally the definition of a date hehe. But I love it, all the time and effort I really do love it, I like that you care enough about me to treat me nice like this.” She exclaimed sweetly.
Gorgious was moved by these words and couldn’t take it anymore she had to know.
“Candy, I think you should know this. I-I LOVE YOU! I have loved you for awhile now okay i love your cute little face and that little skirt thing you wear all the time. And i love that your so sweet with everyone i just want you to be my lover and everytime i think of you i get all tense in my cro-”
“Okay uh that last part is a little too much information. But i feel the same way about you Gorgious,” she then leaned over. “Even that last part but uh let's talk about that later.” She whispered while winking. She then sat back normally. “But yes i love you too, even when we bicker about silly things, i love you. Your confidence and bravery make me feel all sorts of wonderful feelings.” She exclaimed. “Plus I constantly wish that you could carry me with those lovely arms of yours, oh god~.” she added while quivering a bit at that last part.
Gorgious was stunned, “wow and i thought i was sharing too much information HAH.” He thought.
He then took Candy's hand with both of his and kissed it to which she swooned and the two just stared at each other dreamily for what felt like an hour. Unbeknownst to them Bud and Etno watched all of that go down.
“Damn, that was more romantic than any sitcom I've ever seen.” Bud remarked.
“By the way, you owe me 50 bucks Etno.” He added while smirking.
“Whatever isn't that your spaghetti that I smell burning right now.” He snarked while rolling his eyes. To which Bud ran back into the kitchen in shock.
The two lovers then ate some spaghetti which surprisingly was really good, again Bud really had done his homework on the topic of romance, but most likely because he saw it on tv like everything he knew. Gorgious thought. The two then went up to Candy’s room after finishing dinner, and she turned on her record player which began playing a romantic song.
“Oh Gorgious dear would you like to dance with me?” Asked Candy and then she blushed because of the sudden pet name they dropped. “Oh dear me I'm all flustered hehe.” they added dreamily.
“Alright but I'm warning you I don't really know how to dance.” Gorgious informed.
But Candy didn’t seem to mind.
“Oh don’t worry darling, I'll show you.”
And so the two started dancing and eventually Gorgious got the hang of it and took the lead and held Candy close to him as they danced. Gorgious felt Candy smiling deeply into his chest as they spun around and he was really happy that she seemed to be very happy, he then remembered something she said earlier.
“Say Candy, didn’t you say that you wished to be carried in my arms.”
They nodded slightly confused but before they could respond Gorgious picked her up and nuzzled her cheek.
“Oh my Gorgious. This is so sweet of you.” She swooned.
Gorgious replied. “No problem sweetheart. I love making you feel good.”
The two looked at each other again and then suddenly they kissed each other, very passionately. Something about it felt so right even if their mouths tasted like spaghetti and pure anxiety. But they didn’t care. Gorgious then started rubbing Candy’s back shocking them a bit but moaned a bit at the touch, they started getting a bit more intense and now sitting on Candy’s bed cuddling while still deep in a liplock. After what felt like a hour the two were now just cuddling under Candy’s blanket and eventually fell asleep while Gorgious held Candy in his arms because now he knew that Candy was now his lover and he promised himself that he would always protect his lovers.
