Starry Night Naps

Summary:

Camilo, being the new teen he is, chooses to ignore showers. Laziness? Most likely. However, his Mami isn't fond with his growing habit.

---

Camilo wasn't the type to “forget” things. Considering how he'll always remember how many plates of arepas he's had. However, the moment he turned 14, he started to forget a lot of shit he shouldn't.

The usual “oh I forgot to brush my teeth, sorry” would occasionally leave his mouth, however, he - and almost all of his family - started to notice how he tended to “forget” to have a shower.

Chapter 1: Camilo's shower tendencies

Chapter Text

Camilo wasn't the type to “forget” things. Considering how he'll always remember how many plates of arepas he's had. However, the moment he turned 14, he started to forget a lot of shit he shouldn't.

The usual “oh I forgot to brush my teeth, sorry” would occasionally leave his mouth, however, he - and almost all of his family - started to notice how he tended to “forget” to have a shower.

It started to get to a point where his Mother would have to chase him down to have a shower. She would know when he had avoided it due to his greasy hair - despite him blaming it on the thundercloud that poured on him as she chased him - or the fact that he smelt like the donkeys that Luisa would always have to return.

After a month of the afternoon banter, he decided that after dinner he would disappear into the town, trying to avoid the inevitable. Pepa quickly caught on, waiting at the door for him to try and sneak back in. It was pretty known once he got home - typically at around midnight or earlier - it practically echoed throughout Casita when she lectured him. Dolores ended up having to use 2 layers of cotton buds to make it somewhat endurable.

Camilo wasn't phased by the yelling. He loved his Mami dearly, and he hated getting yelled at by her, but he had just gotten used to this lecture. The usual “I don't want you going around at night while I have no idea WHERE or WHO you are!” followed with the bittersweet “I love you Camilo, but hell, could you be any less responsible?”.

He would always be stuck in the same wooden chair - Casita shoving him back in whenever he would try to leave early - being stuck there for the 10 minute lecture every night. Sometimes he considered sleeping outside for a night.

Then, he decided he would. He would sleep outside. What was his Mami going to do? She wouldn't expect it. She would just wait all night waiting for him, possibly becoming suspicious, but he knew she wouldn't move from her spot until morning.
