Chapter Text
A humanoid abnormality was wiping the floor with the sinners. Despite her body seeming fragile, no amount of strikes could injure the pale-skinned girl. Even her frilly purple silk dress was unscathed.
''Is this the best you maggots can do?! You weaklings are not even worthy of a single drop of sweat!'' The abnormality was able to talk, but she probably did not know any other words than insults.
''Ah, shut your mouth!'' Heathcliff breathed and started to run to the girl in a dress. Was he trying to distract her? Was he going for a hit? Did he have a plan in his mind? He didn't know either.
The abnormality stood indifferently and opened her palm as if she was anticipating this. In a single second, an orb of energy burst from her hand and atomized Heathcliff. Her accuracy was more than impressive, she seemed like she wasn't even aiming at the sinners, yet all of her magical attacks connected with and disintegrated the sinners with ease.
Meursault was the first victim of her. The moment she realized 6 people and someone with a clock on their head were near her vicinity, she shot a beam of energy from the tip of her fingers and pierced Meursault's heart in a heartbeat. While almost all of the sinners were in panic due to what happened, the girl targeted Faust, the only sinner who appeared to be calm. Two hands that were mimicking the abnormality's actions appeared next to Faust and plucked her limbs as if they belonged to a doll. Rodion somehow managed to calm herself and tried to get close to the cold-blooded girl, but the moment they got close many small beams burst from her palms as if they were the shells of a shotgun and pierced their bodies. The girl laughed while she kept shooting ''bullets'' from her hand. Seeing that woman who was taller and bigger than her turning into cheese was amusing for her.
Yi Sang didn't try to let Heathcliff's death go to waste and actually managed to get behind the abnormality. With a quick and sharp slash, Yi Sang landed a hit on her with his dagger, but it was by no means effective. All he could manage to do was give the girl a horrible new haircut. Her blonde hair down to her waist was now only shoulder-length and was cut unevenly.
''How dare you?!'' The girl screamed in agony. ''I've had enough of you pests!'' Without any fancy magic like prior, Yi Sang exploded. All that remained of him was mere bones scattered on the ground.
''D-Dante!'' Sinclair could do nothing but call to Dante. In less than a minute, the wicked girl destroyed the sinners except him. They've been defeated horribly many times in the past, but to this degree..? It was the first time they had been humiliated this bad, and he knew that he was next.
Dante's voice was like an annoying alarm clock for the abnormality.
''I'm going to shut that clock up if you won't do it yourself!'' A magic sigil appeared above the girl. ''In the name of love...'' She started to chant. For the first time, she was immobile, or only appeared so.
''In the name of everything pure...'' The girl kept on chanting.
''H-huh?! Would that even work?!'' Sinclair was trembling.
''I, the magical girl scoffed upon...'' Both the girl and the magic sigil were glowing to such a degree that it was blinding. The end was near.
Dante's ticking was off-rhythm.
''W-wait! Let's talk!'' Sinclair closed his eyes and accepted defeat. This was the end. Dante and Sinclair needed a miracle to happen if they wanted to be alive...
Silence. Neither Sinclair nor Dante could open their mouths. They knew that this was a futile attempt, and yet...
''Are you begging for your life?'' A high-pitched laugh echoed. ''You try to strike me down without saying anything and now you cling to dialogue?!''
''You attacked us first! We had no intent of killing you!'' That was a lie. They were contracted to do so.
''Oh? You think I'm that stupid?'' Sinclair wasn't convincing enough.
''N-no! There's no way someone like you can be stupid! We only wanted to know why such a pretty girl like you was causing such a ruckus! Something bad must have happened to you!'' Sinclair had no idea what he was saying, but he kept on praising the girl for a minute. He knew that he was a big loser in the abnormality's eyes, but he didn't know any other way to deal with this monstrosity. He lied and lied. Better than dying in vain, he thought.
''Ah! Such sweet words!'' Was it... actually working? ''Apologies! I've been only mocked upon in my entire life! I thought you were one of those bullies as well!'' The girl was blushing.
''W-why won't you tell us your story then? Maybe we can help you?'' Sinclair couldn't believe that his lies had an effect on her.
''Oh sweetheart! I would love to! Won't you be my protagonist then?''
''H-huh?!''
The scene went black in an instant.
