The weather in this part of Europe has been very fickle. Even in the course of a day, it can drop 10 degrees and suddenly begin raining by the afternoon.

I had the idea for drawing this on campus while the professor holding the lecture was being boring and I had time to think. I only have one lecture on Thursday so sometimes I skip it, but today I felt like going in just to have a change of surroundings and fresh air.

I'm still sick though. I hope I could express how a cold affects me through this drawing, both with the content and the lineart/coloring style.

When I was small, my mother used to work home office. She had this office chair that, after she got a job in the capital city, was put into storage. I got that chair for myself a few years ago, and it's very old and beat up now, but I love sitting and spinning in it. I immediately loved the Remote Controller PV just because of the chair it features.

I was lucky, because I could colormatch pretty well.
I will be working on the requests from now on, but you can expect more personal art this week because a Len plushie that I ordered came in the mail and I really like him.

I wrote this in the previous chapter, but on Monday my package came. I got Len from the BEMOE Top Treasure series.

I wanted to draw Len's reaction to receiving the plushie. It's so cute and small that it gave him baby fever.

Requested by sparkleomania. I had to rewatch the PV a lot to get her outfit right, but it was OK because I really like the song.

I wish Antichlorobenzene made it into the games. Rin's dress is really cute and fluffy-looking. On the other hand, the fanon module names people have been giving her are atrocious.
I started drawing this on campus. It seems like the pencil and pen instead of fully-rendered marker coloring adds to the mischievous feeling.

Progress on this art book (including both personal art and requests) will be halted for an indefinite time (expect about a week or two), because:
1. The end of the semester is coming up and I'm getting a lot of homework so my professors can grade me/help me prepare for exams
2. I am going to be illustrating for a fanfic!! 🎉

I don't necessarily agree with the some of the events in the story (I understand if you don't either, but this is AO3), but I liked it overall and I like these modules a lot and this will be my first time drawing them. Hello everyone!! The artist is back in!! ☻ I hope you didn't think I just left.

The illustrations and subsequent break took a little longer than I expected due to human error, burnout, and studying a lot. The last part, I'm still doing but I feel more inclined to draw now than I did a few days ago.

I have at least two drawings coming up, hopefully either one this week and one next week, or both next week. Everything will be posted as soon as I finish it. ^^

Since I need to practice drawing adults (and for other reasons), today's announcement comes from Meiko. She's reporting from my university notebook because I already started drawing in my normal sketchbook... but after this brief intermission, the schedule will be back to normal. Thank you again.

Before the storms and cold weather that suddenly came to this part of Europe (seriously, the daily average temperature dropped around 10 Celsius since the start of the month) flowers were blooming everywhere. I could see the lawns in our garden, on my way to campus, and all around my hometown, overrun with various wildflowers.

I like to help the dandelions spread their seeds by picking them and blowing on them. It's fun to check my lung capacity, if I can blow the entire dandelion away with one breath that means my lungs are strong.

In this drawing, Len is blasting Rin in the face with a dandelion because she put flowers in his hair.
May this bring good weather to all of us. ^^

The art book is going on hiatus for the second time for similar reasons as before!!

1. The semester is officially over and I'm in exam period (the exams I signed up for are next week and the week after that, so basically I'm will have exams until June, if I don't fail any of them and have to retake them the next month...)

This fic is very different than the one I previously illustrated, both in content and form. It's important to know about me that I used to do theater before I came to college, so I really like the script style.

Right away, I get the feeling that the usual round eyebrows I draw for Len modules do not fit Trickster's personality, so I found it important to draw him with the eyebrows he canonically has. For a warm-up, I drew the last part of the first scene.

I will have to balance studying and hobbies in the next few weeks somehow, but I believe it will be important for me to relax and art is probably going to be how I do it.

Hello, I'm back! Did you miss me? No? Too bad~

Well, I officially survived my first year (AKA two semesters) at university!! The exam period here officially lasts until July 5th but I managed to stuff all my exams into May. I can't recommend trying to take so many in just two weeks, I had 7.

I would like to call it divine intervention that I passed all of my exams on the first try, but it was probably because of me showing up to most of the lectures and literally not being able to relax until I studied for everything. Now, my grades are a separate issue...

Let's commemorate that I made it. Spring hasn't been the warmest but now that it's officially summer, everyone is free to have a heat stroke.

I wanted to use my chibi style again (I don't think I posted anything in it since the first chapter) and try out colored pencils instead of my usual markers or pens. Any tips/suggestions is appreciated because I don't use colored pencils at all but I would like to in the future.

I made it, but at what cost?

Emotional and mental exhaustion can sometimes feel worse than physical exhaustion or even lead to physical health issues. The semester and my exams took a lot out of me and I feel very drained and disappointed in myself for not getting the best grades. Despite the lighthearted tone of the last post, I really don't feel well. I've been mostly sleeping and playing video games since summer began instead of keeping up my social life, and if I haven't been responding to your messages as much, that is why.

Something about the Stylish Energy modules that always stood out to me were the bandaids. Anyone who knows me also knows that I get injured a lot so this makes me feel like I can relate to them. (I have a cosplay of Stylish Energy L and doing the details/accessories will be very easy since I have a lot of bandaids at home. I will try to cosplay him during the summer as often as I can).

To help myself (and anyone here who might be in a similar state of mind) feel a little better, I wanted to draw R patching her brother up.

I'll be OK one day.

I was very disappointed when all my illustrations of the last fic were complete and I had to stop drawing Len's Trickster module. It turns out that I can just get more written about him so I can draw him.

Even if you ship either of the characters with someone else or don't have a ship about them at all, most of the story is two boys visiting a zoo and Trickster learning about human things like headphones and ice cream, and the crush and romantic aspects are only implied or appearing in passing ^^"

I practiced more with colored pencil and also tried to refine my chibi style even further. I already have some favorite scenes but I'll be asking my friends to suggest (as always), right now I thought I would do 4 or 5 as opposed to the usual 3, so it would take longer to finish.

If something happen that makes me want to draw other Kagamine stuff, I will post here as well.

I wanted to draw the modules reacting to the pins I got of them (I thought it would be more fun if I did it so that nobody is looking at their own pin) for my ita bag so there would be art in a more traditional sense as well.

I don't procrastinate usually, but if I do, it's at the very last part of whatever I'm doing, like only needing a conclusion for an essay or an ending for a fic, even if I already have it planned out in my head. Finishing something is almost just as hard as starting it.

What does this mean? Well, I have an illustration that I only need to color and render now as the sketching, linework, etc. is complete by now. But instead of getting on that as soon as possible, I'm, well, I'm redoing my ita bag.

Since my first attempt I watched/read some tutorials and talked to my friends about it, so I decided to try it again. My main concern was getting the Project Diva module pins to fit on the insert as well, because even though they have plastic backing and are therefore less susceptible to rusting, I still wanted them "included" in that part and not separately.

Now that this is done, I'll finish the illustration soon and also hopefully be able to draw more in the upcoming days. Thank you, and happy August.

To celebrate this milestone, I made Strangely Dark in Wonder of Wonder Art. I don't do digital art so I struggled a lot with it (took me the better part of 4 or so hours to figure everything out) but I hope you like him anyway.

I've been busy recently so I only got to draw personal art and doodles and stupid whiteboard junk instead of anything I would've liked to put on my art book, more polished and thought out art.

On the Internet, in fandom spaces or large friend groups or servers, it's easy to compare yourself to others due to the amount of people around you and it's impossible to ignore everyone. Seeing someone else do something that you wanted to (or something you would've preferred not to see) is inevitable. Drama is caused all the time, either by simple misunderstandings or actual malice. People are punished in the name of a fabricated issue or in search of a "truth". Nobody is exempt from criticism. You can't please everyone.
It's up to you how you deal with it.
In the end, as long as you don't lose sight of who you are, your values, and your happiness, you win.

The last time I drew Rin from Antichlorobenzene (the song's message is more relevant than ever) was in April, and since then I feel like I improved a lot, so I wanted to draw her again. People have told me that I'm good at expressions and I wanted to lean into it and do a really expressive piece.

I know I wrote in the first chapter that I wouldn't draw modules who have theme songs with a clearly sexual meaning/plot, but I figured I could break that rule just this once. You'll see why soon.

While I was cleaning the bathroom mirrors, I nearly huffed in the cleaning spray (at least my lungs are going to be limescale-free) and it reminded me of the anti-horny spray meme from a few years ago. I found the exploitable very quickly because I only have a good memory when it's for completely useless and purely recreational things.

Has this been done before? I feel like it's too convenient to not have been done before. For the person spraying him, please imagine the same expression and feeling as the Victor van Dort cosplayer spraying a can of Raid while screaming. Thank you.

(This isn't a very clean drawing because I was originally just going to send it over SNS to my friends, but I wanted to post some art that had a little less effort put in. This is the notebook I got with similar paper (the same pattern, just lower quality and more pages) to my actual sketchbook so I have more opportunities to sketch stupidly.)

I differentiate all the Kagamine modules I draw not only by their clothes and accessories but by also specifically drawing their hair differently from each other. Since I draw Trickster a lot I spent some time styling his hair too. I originally came up with a design close to his Project Diva module; wouldn't a guy with such fancy clothes, who looks so put-together and is trying to appear friendly, take care of his hair?

On the other hand, a lot of the fanart I've seen (and in Tama's illustrations as well as the nendoroid) has his hair looking quite fluffy and spiky instead, almost in a messy style. It made me think that maybe I should slightly adjust the way I draw Trickster's hair, after all he's supposed to be nonhuman.

After more than 3 months of doing basically nothing, my summer break is ending and I'm starting my second year of college. The semester officially begins on September 8, and I can't lie and say I'm not a little scared.

I got some new school supplies and I wanted to try everything out by drawing in a new notebook with only the things I would have in my pencil case. Of course, I chose school-themed Kagamine modules to draw, namely Trad School Rin and Student Council Officer Len, as they prepare for the next school year. I tried to keep it light-hearted despite my own anxieties.

Even though it might get busy for me, I'll try my best to draw sometimes, not only for whoever might be watching but also to let myself relax.

... I got sick basically right after the semester started. This should explain my absence.

The sudden cooling of the weather, the increased number of people on public transport, being stuck for hours on end in classrooms and lecture halls, and getting significantly less sleep because of studying are all contributing factors.

I've lost my appetite, I have difficulties sleeping especially when I have a fever, I'm dehydrated even though I drink as much as I can, and my head hurts which messes with my concentration.

My symptoms are demonstrated by Strangely Dark. I haven't had much energy or motivation to draw but I'm trying to remain a person throughout whatever this illness is by doing chores and socializing. By not wallowing in my misery, I'm also not letting my illness win over me. Believe me, it's much harder to bounce back if you let it.

I know I said it very dramatically, but I haven't been able to vent much, I've been trying to pretend I was fine even when visibly running a fever. This is your reminder to not lose yourself.

I'll get better sometime. Thank you.

Since the semester is just starting out, I thought I would have some time to draw this week. However, since the professors seemed to take everything seriously from the start, I felt obligated to participate and take notes, as if to make up for everyone else around me sleeping or being on their phones.

I only managed to draw in my last ever class for the week because we were mostly having a discussion (and having an existential crisis) about how free will is represented in the compulsory reading for the week.

My idea was to do something meta, the characters slacking off in the art just like I sometimes slack off in class, to draw them instead of participating in the lesson, but in the end I had to postpone finishing my drawing until I got home and did my homework, which means that I did not slack off at all. Isn't that ironic?

Instead of making something very polished, I wanted the drawing to keep the messy feeling of something that was done quickly while the professor wasn't paying attention. I will try to get back on drawing with more effort in the future, though.

It's been half a year since I started the art book.

A lot has happened since then; I'm now in my second year of college, summer break came and went, I made an ita bag and I dabbled in writing and illustrating for fics and even digital art. I learned a lot, in the sense of drawing and also general life lessons. I lost contact with some friends and made new ones. Life is very different now than it was when I first got my account here, and maybe that's alright.

With 1700+ hits and 170+ kudos, I feel very spoiled. It makes me very happy that so many of you like what I do here. Requests and art trades are still open, by the way ☻

Since I'm running out of tag space, I thought about starting a second post for the art book (seriously, the 75 tags limit is something I'll never make peace with, especially because it is such an arbitrary number) but I'll see what the future holds in that regard.

For the celebratory post, I drew Rin and Len Append, since they're a "step up" from the original designs (who were in my intro post). I want to draw a lot more things for myself and everybody, so please continue sticking around.
