Work Text:

There was no way in hell this could be good at all.

Vox wasn’t at all surprised that the radio bitch was still alive, even after his encounter with Adam.

But Alastor publicly reaching out to Vox a mere month after his near-death encounter was quite surprising. No matter how stupid that asshole is, Vox knew he wasn’t going to do something like that without some sort of ulterior motive.

Especially not while he knew he was weakened.

Vox also knew it’d probably be stupid to actually agree to this meetup, considering the unknowns of the definite motive. And yet here he was, impatiently waiting in some abandoned warehouse in the Doomsday District.

Waiting for Alastor.

By the time he’d been waiting there for a good six hours, and Alastor was still a no-show, he decided that Alastor’s ulterior motive was to make a fool of Vox by leaving him there.

But what the hell would he even do with that? That old fool doesn’t touch social media with a 50-foot pole, so a slander post was out of the question.

Perhaps public humiliation? Alastor did pick out a warehouse that housed no tech. So Vox wouldn’t be able to warp out; he’d have to walk out of the building.

But all of his theories quickly fell apart when he quickly picked up on that signature grin staring at him from the shadows behind him. He turned around to stare directly at him as Alastor stepped out of the shadows.

“Fucking took you long enough,” Vox snapped out at Alastor, who was just standing there with his usual smug ass grin, despite the fact that it only took Vox a glance to tell he was clearly still injured.

“Not my fault if you failed to listen. I said to meet up here at 10 pm. Not 4 pm.”

Vox just grumbled a bit and started to walk toward Alastor, since he apparently didn’t want to do so himself. “Yeah, yeah, spit it out. What’d you want me here for? To kill me? Humiliate me?”

“Such assumptions, old pal! I simply wanted a mere favor from you, no deals or extra tricks involved either. I know you’re stupid, but I doubt you’re that desperate for my attention to take a deal from me.”

Vox stared at him for a moment, quite… suspicious of this offering. What favor was Alastor going to ask of him? It couldn’t be much considering there’s no deal to try and force Vox into doing it for him.

But eventually curiosity got the better of him, “Fine, I’ll bite. What?”

“Bite. Quite a convenient word choice. Because that’s all I want.”

Vox actually flinched back a little out of surprise. That was…not at all what he was expecting from Alastor. I mean, yeah , the man was a cannibal. Vox knew that. But Alastor had also never expressed any sort of interest in…eating him , “What the hell did you just say?”

“You heard me. Just a little taste, that’s all. And then I’ll leave you be.”

Alastor simply stood there, waiting. He didn’t force Vox to make a decision, nor time him. “Fine. But if you dare to try any sort of funny business, I will not hesitate to shock you. I know you’re weak right now.”

“No need to worry! I’m quite aware that you know.”

Before Vox could even get the chance to respond, Alastor’s teeth were already on his neck. It felt weird. Not bad, mind you, in fact, Vox might have to ask Valentino to do this more often. Even if it now remind him of Alastor even more than he already thinks about the fucking deer.

But it did indeed feel weird, especially when Alastor actively started drawing blood and fucking drinking it.

Eventually, he did end up stopping, pulling his mouth away and licking up the remaining blood like it was sauce. Afterwards, he just quietly left.

Vox knew that kind of expression. Alastor did seem to want more…whether that be blood, or something else. Likely blood, though.

Even so, he clearly wanted more, so why he stopped? Vox didn’t know.

He just pulled his collar back up and left the building, a tad confused about…whatever the hell just happened.
