Is This Okay?

Summary:

A collection of warm, fluffy vignettes where each character asks, “Is this okay?” — seeking permission before crossing small, intimate thresholds.

These soft, emotionally charged moments explore different shades of love and affection — from shy gestures and gentle teasing to quiet acts of care and playful friendship.

Each chapter is a standalone glimpse into how the characters of Obey Me! connect with a gender-neutral MC in ways that are tender, respectful, and uniquely their own.

Chapter Text

💙 Lucifer 💙

“Are you ready?” I enquired at their door after hearing some mild cursing.
“Nearly!” they called back. The pitch and tone of their voice suggested something was amiss.

“I’m coming in,” I said, pushing the door open to find them fiddling with something at the back of their neck. A tiny shimmer of silver revealed the source of their irritation. Necklace clasps could be fiddly.

Crossing the room, I caught their eye in the mirror they were using.
“May I?” I offered, watching them pause for a moment before pooling the necklace into their palm and surrendering it to me with a huff.

Chuckling lightly, I took the charm between my fingers. On closer inspection, I realised with a faint itch of irritation that it was not one of the many I’d gifted them. Pushing the thought aside—it didn’t matter—I lifted the chain carefully, bringing it beneath their chin and around their neck, already exposed from earlier efforts.

A glance back at them in the mirror revealed they were watching me at work. My lips tugged into a knowing smirk, and they quickly looked away. They flushed, their composure slipping as they fidgeted slightly.

Returning to the task at hand, the clasp clipped together quickly. Too quickly.

Pretending to tend to it, I let my fingers steal brief touches against their neck. The rosy flush from their cheeks now matched the shade gracing the tips of their ears.

They were so honest with their feelings—it was hard not to want to capitalise on it. But I wouldn’t push. There was no need to rush.

I had the whole evening to enjoy their company… and their reactions.
