A pretty easy match all things considered. You thought as you casually walked through the basement of the neighborhood war house with the enemy's flag on your back.
Both of the tunnels are filled with my tether mines and this flag will be enough to get an easy victory even if the enemy team captures the point. You went up a short staircase to the point and then left the battered house in the direction of your team's flag.
You slowly walked up to your flag, ready to capture and win the game, until you suddenly felt multiple rebar rods painlessly stab into you. As you felt more and more rods into you realized that you couldn't move forward anymore.
I AM RIGHT THERE COME ON PLEASE You tried your hardest to move just a slight bit forward so that you could capture the flag, but you couldn't even move an inch.
In an attempt to get unstuck you turned around to kill your attacker. You saw a blue shielder with riot gear, pointman hat and chain gun. His chains dealt no damage. You didn't think about that weird fact as you instead got ready to fire your grenade launcher.
As you aimed something weird started to happen. All your limbs were suddenly pulled in all directions by an invisible, powerful force. You were getting flailed around like a puppet attached to a ceiling fan. Each second it became more and more violent but you were still able to spot a detail about your attacker that you missed before. His name was white.
That was the last thing you saw before the flailing became so violent that one of your limbs touched the water below the map finally killing you.
While respawning you got some time to think about what just happened. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! WHO WAS THAT!? WHAT!?!?
Happily for you, the respawning process was quick but it still gave enough time for someone to steal your flag. Looking at the flag icon you quickly realized that the enemy was going through the tethermine infested tunnel.
That should kill him quickly. Though I'll still need to get the flag back. Quickly rushing to the tunnel, you entered it and to your bewilderment saw that all of your tethermines were in the same place that you placed them before while the flag holder was already going through the basement.
Not wanting to let blue win, you rushed forwards through the tunnel and into the basement giving, where you caught a glimpse of the flag carrier. A blue shielder with a white name… Of course its him him .
Grumbling, you ran to the second tunnel that is filled with mines the same way the first tunnel was. Once you entered it you saw that your damn tethermines weren't working as the shielder kept on walking through the tunnel passing each and every single mine.
You ran and shot grenades hoping to stun the shielder but only two were able to connect before he started climbing the ladder. Both of them hit his shield dealing just barely not enough damage to stun him.
When you finally started climbing up the ladder your enemy got off it and out of view. Climbing up the ladder you saw that the shielder was about to capture your flag which would win blue team the game. In a final hail Mary you shot a single grenade and…
The grenade hit his shield.
Bells rang, your weapons got unequipped, blue won, your team lost, you lost. All because of a single shielder that wasn't even on the blue fucking team.
“WHAT THE FUCK!?!” You exclaimed in anger.
