Chapter Text
Shockwave was in his lab, observing a strange cube. A relic he found some time ago, but he was still unable understand it's purpose. He touched the cube and the cube began glowing with a blinding light out of nowhere. That didn't happen before? Everything went white and then black. He couldn't feel anything... It was like floating aimlesly in space.
-MEANWHILE, IN OUR UNIVERSE-
A tired and sleep deprived fellow was finally able to stop overthinking and sleep. Until a strange sound woke her up from her precious and rare sleep.
'Great' she thought.
'Now I won't be able to sleep again'
But she curiously looked out of her window that was facing the backyard, the place where the sound came from, only to see a flash of white and red lights. 'Amazing! I'm either hallucinating from lack of sleep, or some weird shit just happened. Do I wanna know? Maaaybee... I don't see anything wrong with checking it out. After all I won't be able to sleep back. I might regret this, but who cares?'
She gets out of her bed and starts walking towards the backyard. She opens the backyard's lights once she was there and what she saw was enough to question if she was dreaming or if she accidentally did drugs, 'cause that was not normal at ALL.
There he was. Shockwave.
'But wasn't he supposed to be like 8 meters (around 26 feet) tall or something? He seems to be around 2 and a half meters (around 8 feet).' She slapped herself. 'Am I serious? There is a 2 meter robot in my backyard, that looks like a fictional character named Shockwave. Is it a toy? Maybe someone was a transformers fan and made this... But WHY is it in MY BACK FUCKING YARD?!'
She was confused. Very confused. But hey, there is a smaller copy of Shockwave, in her backyard, and no one is around or anything. Finders keepers? She decides to try and drag the robot in to her house. Key word try. Did she seriously thought she could drag that heavy ass robot? Not really. Is she giving up? No.
-ONE ETERNITY LATER-
"Yay! I did it" she yelled as she jumped up and down. She managed to somehow get the robot inside.
Don't ask how, I don't know either, fanfiction logic I guess. Might have used something with wheels.
'Now what to do.. Sleep? No, can't do. I guess I'll just sit here.' She sat next to the robot and observed it for a while. 'I wonder if there is a power button? He is made out of metal. Good quality' she knocks on the metal robot.
Robot's dim optic slowly lights up. Oh. 'Umm... okay? Should I panic?'
Shockwave robot slowly observes his surroundings and his optic lays on the girl next to him, looking at him with a mix of emotions. Panic, amazment, curiosity. He slowly tries to get up, but fails to do so. After another try and fail, he asks the logical question to the girl next to him.
"Organic, where am I?"
"Oh shit, it talks too" the girl said as her eyes slowly got wider. 'Wow. The technology went this far, he sounds real too. The person who made him must be pro at making robots.' Shockwave robot looks at her dead in the eye, unmoving, waiting for a proper answer.
"Uhh.. You are in my house.. Um.. (city name)! And my name is (insert name here)"
"I did not ask for your designation. Introduction was uncalled for."
"Rude. Okay am I going crazy or something? Is this a dream? Am I seriously talking with a robot right now? Not even a normal robot, a robot that looks like Shockwave." She tries to make sense, but fails.
"How do you know that" Shockwave robot asks.
"Know what? Your name, designation or whatever you call it?"
The robot just stares.
"Uhh.. From a popular franchise. But! Why do I even bother? This is just a dream, and I'll wake up soon."
"Illogical. This not a dream."
"Yeah, of course. You are not real, there is no way I'm talking with you."
The robot tries to get up once more, but fails for the third time. "Well I know this is a dream, but gotta do the test to be sure." She then pinches herself. "That did hurt..." Realization hits like a truck. Now time to PANIC FOR REAL!
"Whops..." Shitting herself. This is not a dream. "A-Are you Shockwave for real? Like the decepticon one..." Okay maybe this was a dumb question.
"So illogical." the robot mutters.
Still very nervous "O-oh. Well... shit..?" She takes a step back.
There is a mad scientist decepticon, in the same room as you, a few meters away. Yeah. Any wrong move, death sentence. She might not value her life as much as others but she doesn't want to die right now. Getting killed by a supposed fictional guy? A fictional guy she liked? No way! This bitch ain't dying yet.
"Okay, that's it. If this is a joke, it's cool but not that funny anymore!" she yells. Another dumb question.
"You are illogical."
"No u!"
Almost dies. Wooow...
-"TIME SKIP" TIME-
(yay...)
-YOUR POV-
Okay. I am somehow still alive and we are not arguing anymore. Great! We are doing progress. Right now, I'm dragging a briefcase looking thing inside, that seems to have come with Shockwave. I drag the case right in front of a a sitting Shockwave, that is still unable to get up or move properly, and open it.
Contents:
-6 bottles filled with a liquid
-Some strange cloth
-A tablet looking thing that has a shrinkable screen
-A book titled "S. I. F. I. R" (Special Info For Idiot Readers)
-A pen
Wow, I'm not sure about any of this stuff or what they do.
"It's going to take some time to figure things out..."
I take the tablet and click a button on the side of it, hoping it's the power button. The screen lights up and I'm greated with a complex menu.
Tons of stuff squished into one tiny screen.
A map on the upper right corner that has some colorful dots on it, time and date right next to the map, a question mark right next to a program called "the upgrades" on the lower right corner, a small arrow right under time and date and on the left side there was a 3D model of Shockwave with some description like things under it.
I click the question mark.
"This seems to be a guide to use the tablet." I conclude.
"Indeed." Shockwave agrees.
Wow. Shockwave agreed with me? Now this is progress.
After reading a bit and figuring some things out I look at the book titled "S. I. F. I. R." and start reading it a little while Shockwave was still looking through the tablet. This book is also a guide, while the one on the tablet only gave information about the tablet, this one gave information about the other stuff too and was much more detailed with some drawings on it too. Also it was written in a pretty rude language. It kept insulting me with every page.
Reading got boring after 4 full pages explaining why I'm stupid and misirable with barely any other info.
Then I get an idea! I will try to get myself familiar with him!
I start showing him the games I play, TV series, memes, cartoons and internet things in general. He didn't seem too interested in our organic culture, but it is a way to spend time.
I don't tell him much about transformers, I don't want to spoil anything and make him aware of the future. Even though I will probably, most likely, fail.
After a long night the sun starts to shine. What a great day with only a few hours of sleep!
Then I realize something. Shockwave needs energon to survive but energon does not exist...
"Umm... Btw you probably going to die or something, soon." I slowly turn to him while speaking.
He just stares so I continue.
"There is no energon. Energon does not exist here."
"There might be an alternative power source." Shockwave replies and immidiatly looks like he is thinking of that alternative way.
How does he eat anyway? Does he not eat? He doesn't have a mouth...
"How do you eat? I'm curious to be honest."
(I don't know how he manages to eat but I found a way to make it. This is not canon or anthing I made this up for the sake of the story)
After a few minutes of looking at the "Very rude" book, Shockwave finds a button on his arm and presses it, causing his hand to disappear inside his arm, which created a hole. It kinda looks like a vacuum.
"You are supposed to eat from there?"
"Seems like coming to this universe altered my body. There was no such a thing before."
"What if I give you human food? Can you eat it?"
"Illogical. I can not eat organic food."
I then grab one of the six bottles that was inside the briefcase.
"What about this?" I show it to him.
Shockwave returns his hand to normal and grabs the bottle, opening it and looking at the liquid inside.
He choses to give it a try. It is more logical than trying human food after all. He puts the bottle on a table and I go get a glass to make it easier. I pour the liquid to the glass. Shockwave "drinks" the liquid. I'm not sure if I can call that drinking tho, more like sucking or vacuuming it.
"I can.. taste." he says.
He couldn't taste before? Do cybertronians can't taste or is it just Shockwave. I don't know.
-3RD PERSON POV-
Shockwave wouldn't say it out loud but he did find the liquid "delicious". His first time experiencing this.
The human girl tries to force Shockwave to eat human food.
"You said it yourself that your body has been altered when you came here. Maybe you can eat human food now?"
Shockwave reluctantly agrees and tries human food.
With that they learn he can eat human food now!
She gives Shockwave a lot of stuff to try and taste. But they quickly learn that he can't eat every human food, there is some that is harmful to him.
Note: Dont give Shockwave eggplant, plus mouthwash and a whole banana in any situation. Liquid stuff are the best for him!
Then they start speaking about anything and everything. Shockwave starts rambling about science stuff that she pretends to understand and then she starts speaking, Shockwave immidiatley becoming disinterested, about philosopy or somethin' because she wants to sound smart.
The day ends with the human falling asleep on the couch while Shockwave tries to think of a way to return to his universe and also questioning how much the girl knows.
