Chapter Text
There were very few things in life that terrified Jill: motherhood, becoming a wife in her early twenties, having an unfulfilled marriage. And then there was her, Callie Baskin. But Callie terrified Jill in a way that was intoxicating and made her entire body fill with heat and forbidden desires. She considered herself a modest young woman, one with elegance and self restraint. Around Callie, Jill was an entirely different person. Submissive. Impure. Wanting things she shouldn’t.
Upon meeting Jill Thompson, Callie had known immediately that she was not like the other women in East Texas. Jill was overwhelmingly perfect—the embodiment of beauty, soft-spoken, a young mother married to an upstanding man. Most women envied her. Callie wanted her.
For months they’d see each other. At every social gathering, every charity function. Watching. Waiting. Studying. Their interactions were minimal—a shy “hello” on Jill’s behalf, a gentle smile from Callie, a touch that lingered a second longer than it should. But the chemistry was undeniable between the two of them.
Callie was the flame and Jill was ready to burn.
