Chapter Text
Harry
Sitting alone in his bed Harry didn’t really know what he was doing.
6 weeks he’d been at the Dursleys. 6 weeks since he’d Heard from Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione or any of his friends for that matter. 6 weeks since he’d watched his godfather die.
He didn’t know how to feel. He felt broken. Like damaged goods. Ginny had broken up with him after he refused to kiss her in front of her parents. Harry had never been one to like PDA. Especially not with Ginny.
He rolled onto his side and groaned the motion of getting up too much to bear. He was only an hour away from his 16th birthday. And yet he knew… it wasn’t gonna any different than last year. He got out of bed groaning. His legs felt like jello he stumbled to the mirror in his room.. he was covered in bruises. Nasty hand shaped ones that made him want to scream cry and throw up all at the same time.
They covered his hips and waist. Fingerprints bruised into his thighs and stomach.
He turned away from the mirror unable to make himself think back to last night. The dursleys had left early this morning. For a 3 week cruise in the Caribbean.
Leaving Harry to himself. He moved to the window. Staring out. Hedwig hadn’t come back from her hunt. The one he’d let her out for almost 3 weeks ago. He changed into the filthy rags he was given by the dursleys and crept down the stairs. He began to make a bowl of cereal weighing out less than one cup. He ate quickly managing almost nothing but getting enough nutrition to make sure he would be okay for now.
He padded back up the stares. His feet causing the old stairs to creak. He sat back on to his bed. And rested 5 minutes to midnight. 5 minutes till he was 16… Harry felt like an iron clamp had clasped down on his lungs. 4 minutes.. the clock on the wall was ticking too loudly. 3 minutes. Harry felt like his ears were ringing. 2 minutes. His bteath came in short bursts as he tried to relax. 1 minute. The room get stifling hot. 30 seconds. Harry’s vision began to swim. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Midnight struck with a chime from the clock. And Harry let out a bloodcurdling scream. Every limb on his body felt like it was on fire.
Meanwhile in another world.
Lord Death sat on his throne. Board out of his mind as Lady Magic, Lord Life and Lady Fate argued over one thing or another. He didn’t want to be at this stupid meeting. But no. The Torvaks were causing issues for Neverah. But then he felt it. A flame igniting in his chest. Something was calling him. He and lord Life. Stood at the same time. He flared but slid into the shadows disappearing. He had to find this feeling. He wasn’t sure what it was but he had to find it. And he needed to find it now.
