Chapter 1: Immortal Beings

Notes:

First Chapter is short as hell because its a introduction to the fanfic...

Maybe.. idk we will see with my writing motivations

Chapter Text

Immortal beings roamed Robloxia for centuries. Some existed just to be around the others robloxians and experience their world. To exist peacefully together without harm. However some roamed around to cause harm, chaos, destruction, horrors in their way as they existed amongst other robloxians. For centuries they caused some type of trouble for other robloxians making others tell stories about them and speak of these immortal beings as warnings.

But all bad thing must come to a end. At least in some way. At some point these immortal beings started to disappear slowly but surely one by one the beings that caused some type of trouble to others would be sealed away from other robloxians and Robloxia itself. The Admins tried their best to seal off all the beings they could find that were part of the problems in Robloxia. Some of them had taken notices of the disappearance and hid away or took another form to fit in better. Even so a large amount of these beings were sealed away for good.

Many robloxians were overjoyed at the news. They could go out without as much fear. They could enjoy a nice picnic outside, go to their favorite fast food place, enjoy a day with their family without the worry of a disaster structing them at any given moment. Though some robloxians seemed to have a issue with these beings being sealed. As much as they did cause horrors to Robloxia, some found them to be good to Robloxia. The chaos, the destruction, the stories. They had some positive relations with rare robloxians who found them entertaining and fun to be around.

Wishing for something fun to happen in a boring everyday life was easy when you had these beings that would cause horrible things to make things interesting. They would even give to people admin powers just to watch their own horrible creations come to life. These immortal beings made names for themselves. Cults dedicated to do their biddings and be recognized to please the immortal being, no matter the cause of the Admins.

The Void Cult known as one of the oldest cults to exist. Worshipped a being of destruction or a demi-god as the cult would refer to the being. They were sure their demi-god would of been safe from the hands of the Admins as the demi-god was always surrounded by his cultist, no matter if it was inside or out of the temple. They were always on high alert when it was anything outside the temple. They could only relax inside the temple. It was the safest space for them and their demi-god.

At least they believed that before the day of the disaster. Everything went by as usual. The cultists did their daily tasks. Cleaning, preparing sacrifices, entertaining their demi-god and so on. Is seemed like a normal day. Just like any other. It was supposed to be just like any other. No one expected for the temple to be raided by the Admins. They never stepped close to the temple. Their god was too powerful on guard. But they took their chances of catching him off guard to seal him away.

And they succeeded.

The demi-god of destruction. The oldest myth across Robloxia. Now sealed away by the Admins for good. Yes now they’re hated by the whole Void Cult but they’re sure they will come around and learn it was for the best that he was sealed away.

They hadn’t come around it however. The cult swore to bring him back no matter how many rituals and sacrifices they would have to go through. They. Will. Bring. Him. Back. If it’s the last thing the cult does.

You will chant his name like a prayer, pray for his destruction to not come in your line of sight. Pray he doesn’t seek revenge for what the Admins did. All of Robloxia will feel his wrath. Fear the god of The Void Star.

Noli.

Noli.

Chapter 2: Threatening Order

Notes:

I have no promises of chapters being long BUT I am hoping that they will end up longer once i start writing the two interacting together (fingers crossed)

I think (hoping) the first three chapters will be kind of short and then I'll start writing actual longer chapters.

Also I don't know how Mia actually acts like or anything THIS IS ALL MY HEADCANONS but I hope it's at least a bit well written even if its far from canon

On a side note that is important: most if not all of my chapters will be posted and or worked on during the weekends. I'm very busy with my own life and this fanfic was only created because I wanna try writing again like i used to so take that as you will

Chapter Text

When hungry for food most people will rely on eating anything from their fridge or maybe cooking something up they already had at home. Some just don’t want to cook their own food or don’t want anything that is already in the fridge. Restaurants and fast food places are here for that.

With the many places that serve food in Robloxia, one of the most popular fast food places that fills both robloxians hearts and stomachs is Builder Brother's Pizza. Established in November 3, 2007, Builder Brother's Pizza has been working none stop ever since it was created and became known as Robloxia’s number one pizza place.

The pizza place is packed today with many people. The workers are doing their best to please every costumer and do their jobs right. The cahiers spoke with the costumers taking their orders and sending it over to the cooks for them to work on. Once a order would be finished they would put it on the conveyor belt for it to be sent to the pizza boxing room. The finishing touches would be packing up the order and giving them to the delivery workers to go send the pizzas to their rightful owners.

Elliot took the role as delivering the packed orders to their owners. And just like any other day he was doing just that. Putting the last order in the box on his motorbike Elliot turned to look at his younger sister Mia. Mia usually hung around the pizza place from not being allowed to be home alone while her father and brother were off at work. Due to that she usually followed her brother around when he was at the pizza place to have someone to talk or complain to. When he was away delivering she would often stay in the manager room and be on her phone until Elliot would be back.

“That’s all the orders for now, will you be fine being a-”

“Oh my godddd, yes I willlll, stop asking that every time you leave”

Mia groaned at her brothers question, already hearing it over fifty times by now. Elliot smiled at his sister, ruffling her hair to which she quickly tried to swat away from messing up her hair, earning a laugh from Elliot as he placed his arms in the air in a surrendering way.

Finally hopping on the motorbike, Elliot put on his helmet before waving to his sister as he started up the motorbike. Not even exiting the parking area of the pizza place before someone shouted out to him.

“ELLIOT WAITTTTT!!!!!!!!!”

Quickly stopping the motorbike slightly sending him to hit his chest against the handlebars of the motorbike from the sudden stop, he turns his attention to the voice that was calling out to him from the pizza place with a confused expression. Noticing the familiar pink hair he sighed as he greeted Lulu, who seemed to be out of breath from running across the pizza place to catch up to Elliot before he left. Another thing worth noticing was the pizza boxes she was carrying.

“Lulu you scared the life out of me”

“I’m so, so, so sorry!!!!!!!!!!! But i needed to make sure you didn’t leave so I could ask you something!!”

Elliot tilted his head slightly to the side looking back and fourth between Lulu and Mia who seemed just as confused as he was

“Listen Elliot, I was taking orders from the phone and then i got this threatening phone call from a costumer! They were threatening to burn down the pizza place if we didn’t send them their pizza orders quickly!! I don’t wanna deal with those two again!!!!”

As Lulu went on and on about the call and the person she had to deal with, Elliot took the note on top of all the boxes and read through it while raising a eyebrow.

“Lulu I don’t think this order is from those two.”

“WHAT- how could you be so sure?!”

“As much as that hacker and his son are a pain to deal with I- sadly.- know the address they like to write for where to drop off the pizza. And this.. sure isn’t the place they write to deliver.. in fact its far from it.”

Elliot took out his phone as he wrote out the address on the note to check where exactly this delivery was sent out to. Which was middle of no where.

“Well that’s odd… It’s not anywhere near any cities or villages, basically middle of no where”

That note didn’t seem to calm down Lulu even a bit. In fact it seemed to freak her out even more. Elliot however didn’t seem too alarmed. I mean if he delivered these boxes in time he’s sure nothing bad would happen.

“So you want me to deliver these out then?”

“Well- that was the original plan but!-”

Before Lulu could even finish her sentence Elliot was unpacking the orders that were placed in the motorbikes box already

“Don’t worry about it, I can handle myself with some threatening messages and what not. You just tell someone to deliver these and all will be fine”

Elliot took the pizza boxes from Lulu as he handed her the other ones that were in the motorcycle box. Placing the new orders in the box he closed the lid and strapped it tightly for it to not fly out or open during driving. As he did that Mia didn’t look as calm as she was before. A slight concern washed over her face as she watched her brother get ready to leave.

“Are you sure this is a good idea..”

“Mia I will be just fine, when have I not come back in one piece from a delivery?”

Elliot smiled down at his sister as he started up the motorbike once again. waving off to both of them he finally left the parking area, driving off to the area where it showed on his phone. Mia only watched him leave with Lulu by her side before she turned to look up at the woman.

“Do you think he will be safe..?”

“… I’m sure he will.. come on lets go back inside..”

Chapter 3: Ritual

Notes:

Surprise... another chapter with in the same day as the last one... don't expect that often

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Years ago The Void Cults temple was horribly destroyed from the Admins having to break in to seal Noli away. They offered to repair the temple a few weeks after the incident, the cultists weren’t overjoyed by their offer seeing it as more offensive then anything. The main thought process was if they let the Admins repair the temple they might add some thing to keep a watch on them. That was something none of them were willing to take a chance of.

So instead the members rebuilt the temple on their own. It helped keeping the members to get along with having to work together to stable the temple once more. With having to rebuild the temple it also let them add or get rid of stuff for the temple. It was in some way a positive thing for the cult. For one it let them strengthen their relationship with each other and two made them add more stuff for Noli once he would return. It will show that they didn’t stop thinking about their god and still did everything just for him.

It will be perfect. That’s what the cult leader always told the other members when they worked on bringing back Noli. The only question lied was when he would return. A Admin sealing someone away was stronger then anything a regular robloxian could even do. But the cult leader was admin to not give up hope. They were sure that from their own will and belief in Noli he would be able to break free.

Time and time again the cult did a ritual all different from the other to see if they could bring him back and each time was a fail. Some members slowly lost hope of seeing their god ever again. Some grew worried from him not coming back as well worried for the cult leader to not lose their sanity from this. Spending countless nights searching for answers to find anything that could give a direction they should be headed to, to bring back their god. Each time coming out empty.

Another day, another day without Noli around. The members walked around the now fixed temple doing their daily tasks and what not until they heard bells chiming all around the temple. The bells used to signify to everyone that a important meeting had to be done by Noli. Now the bells signify to once more try for a ritual.

Gathering around each member stood around waiting for the leader to give them any rules for what they must do. First order was for everyone to be seated in a circle. Second order was to lit up the candles that were near them. As the members lit the candles around them making sure each one was fairly lit and wont go out during the ritual, the leader walked inside the circle and started drawing on the floor sigils with a odd looking liquid. None of the members ever dared to question what the odd liquid could be. Either from fear of a punishment or simply believing the were better off not knowing what it was.

Once the leader was finished with the sigils they stood in the middle of the circle as they spoke.

“Members of The Void Cult before we continue the ritual I have a confession to make. I have not been completely honest with all of you.”

… Whispers irrupted a few moments after that from the sudden news. They all trusted the leader how could he be hiding something from them. The leader held up one of his hands while the other stayed hidden under his cloak, making the others quiet down.

“I know this comes as shocking and heart breaking but I had good reasons to hide this from everyone. If this information had been brought to the wrong hands who knows when we would be able to bring our god back.”

The leader crouched down before placing a glass box in the middle of the circle. Inside floated something that no one could believe they were seeing. It was The Void Star.

“The aftermath of the Admins raiding our temple I was searching with hope to salvage anything that I could find to protect and that’s when I found The Void Star under the rubble. I trapped it in this glass box to be able to hold without touching an of its power and hid it to make sure none of the Admins could get their hands on it. Who knows what they could of done with it. But now as my last hope I pray- we pray. We pray that this will bring back our god back to us. Let the god of destruction, god of The Void Star roam Robloxia once more! Stronger then ever! Let his rage rain upon those who wished to seal him away from us all! Chant his prayers and let him be free once again!!!”

That was the cults cue to start praying. Just like any other ritual they did. They prayed. Their prayers becoming louder by the second. The Void Star that floated in the glass box started to shake violently as they continued. The candles all around smoked themself out as they continued to pray. It was only when The Void Star completely exploded the glass box it was trapped in did some members become concerned as it floated in the air becoming brighter by the second.

With a blink of a eye everything turned white from the sudden flash bang The Void Star created. It took moments for people to get their vision back but once they did they couldn’t believe their own eyes for what they were witnessing. There in the middle of the circle where the broken glass box sat now stood the one being they have been trying to summon for years. Black smoke surrounded him matching his black cloak that moved like it was the endless ocean moving with the wind. The white tragedy mask sat neatly on his face as he watched The Void Star circle around him like a pet who missed its owner. Finally The Void Star floated above Nolis hand as he extended it out under the cloak.

Silence was all around the room as the members watched Noli, not daring to speak without his permission. After what felt like ages Noli looked around at all the members before he spoke.

“I seek… a sacrifice.

Notes:

If you're wondering why Noli isn't written like how he looks like in Forsaken that's because I took inspiration from his original design to write him. For at least only now. Later on he will have his Forsaken form (with my headcanons so don't expect his design to be written 100% canon like... ever.

In the next chapter these two will finally interact but that might be posted next weekend so um stay tuned!!!!!

Chapter 4: Tasteful Sacrifice

Notes:

"hopefully I will write longer chapters" ERRR WRONG I found out the most I know how to do is with in 2k words before I start feeling like im doing too much writing and should start another chapter.

So that's the most you will get from a chapter

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

It took the cultist a moment to react to Nolis words before they kneeled as multiple shout of “as you wish” was said from each member. Getting up from the floor they all left the room to fetch the needed items for a sacrifice. As much as everyone was feeling some sort of adrenaline from finally bringing their god back, the feeling of dread also overtook them.

Usually at the mention of a sacrifice the members would go out to hunt down a random person to sacrifice to Noli. Though the last time they done this was a few days before the unfortunate event. Seeking out to hunt someone down might raise a eyebrow from the Admins. Yes they did believe Noli was much more powerful now as well as alert to be able to take down any Admin the cult members were still a little weary about the possibility of losing him again on the same day they got him back.

The only other option for the cult was sacrificing one of their own for the sake of keeping Noli happy with them. Who ever it will be they are sure they will understand their sacrifice for the cult.

As the members went around the temple to get the sacrifice items, Noli stayed in the same room he was summoned in. The cult leader stayed by his side acting as a source of entertainment as Noli waited for the others to return. Though it didn’t seem like Noli was paying much attention on the cult leaders actual words. More paying attention to The Void Star then anyone really. The Void Star floated around Noli every now and then resting in his palm. The star oddly could act on its own, Noli didn’t have control over it much letting it have free will of its own other then when he wanted to use it for his destructions. The star never left his side so he wasn’t ever worried about it going far from him.

The cult leaders ranting to Noli came to a stop when two worried cultists came up to them.

“Cult leader.. um may we have just a moment of your time? It’s really urgent and cannot wait for a moment..”

“I cannot leave our god on his own at this time, I’m sure it can wait-”

Noli on the other hand slouched down to be closer to the cult leaders height before he spoke to him.

“I don’t remember you rejecting others when in the time of need. Should I have to rethink about who should own the title of cult leader?”

His permanent tragedy mask lacked to show an other emotion other then sorrow but Noli's tone of voice was clear enough that he was being condescending toward the cult leader. In no way was the cult leader ever gonna dare speak against their god, they bowed their head to Noli and shooed the others to start walking out the room.

Once out of earshot, before the cult leader could even start speaking they were cut off by one of the members speaking. Harshly grabbing the cloak of the skittish cultist the other started to speak.

“He ordered a bunch of pizzas to the temple and now we have some random robloxian making their way to the temple.”

“I didn’t mean it! Believe me leader I would never do something to sabotage us! I well… thought that this ritual wouldn’t work once more and thought if we had something nice waiting for us, it wouldn’t keep us upset longer then we usually are after a failed ritual..”

… The cult leaders life might have just flashed before their eyes just now.

They could only stare at the two with a pure mix of petrified and angry expression. So this is where everything goes wrong. They had to force themself to look away from the two to try their best to calm down. The leaders mind was going a hundred miles at this point trying to figure out how to get out of this situation without everything going horribly wrong. That was until the skittish cultist spoke once more.

“How about.. we use the pizza delivery person as a sacrifice? Noli never minded who was the sacrifice as long as he had one to begin with right..?”

“…Go prepare to catch that delivery person, if you fail and they flee at least we will know who to sacrifice.”

The two looked at each other with a worried look but nodded as they left the room to wait at the entrance. If they were to catch the delivery person at least they won’t have worry over picking someone to sacrifice. It’s better to prepare for the sacrifice no matter the outcome of who will be taken the role of a sacrifice…

In the mean time, the two members waited at the entrance of the temple, they whispered to each other hoping that no one else would overhear their conversation.

“Did you have that little trust in the ritual you did this before it was even confirmed it wouldn’t work?”

“Listen we have been through these rituals for years now. Longer then most of us had lived. It hasn’t worked until now, why would i imagen it would work today of all random days?”

The other shook his head at the comment. Every member was taught to never give up hope on the rituals or already think of them as failures before they even began. It would make it much harder to bring back someone if they already thought of them as a lost cause.

Never mind that. The two had a bigger issue to deal with as the sound of a motorbike engine neared they stepped away from the temples entrance watching the delivery person make his way to them. The motorbike stopped two or so feet away, as Elliot got off he took his helmet off to speak to the two cultists better. Their attire was odd and not some thing he was used to getting orders from but then again he isn’t the fashion police so he won’t comment on it.

“Good evening, are you the one that ordered all these pizzas?”

“Yes we are. Would you mind helping us bring them all inside, we wouldn’t want to go back and fourth to get them, we are in the middle of something”

“Of course! Lead the way”

Elliot gave each a few boxes to carry and gave himself some. Everything in his head was screaming for him to just say no but then again… that message they left.. he didn’t want to deal with yet another fire problem at the pizza place. He followed the two into the temple, the doors closing behind them as he stepped inside. Hopefully its just automatic doors and they’re easy to open from the inside… hopefully. All three of them were quiet as they walked, Elliot let the silence overtake them, looking around the temple he tried his best to memorize the way to and out of the temple. It was just in case he would need to leave on his own. They did say they were in the middle of something anyways.

Finally coming to a stop in front of two huge doors Elliot watched the two set the pizza boxes down on a counter that was placed next to the doors. Taking that as a sign that he should do that too and probably his time to leave he copied the twos actions.

“Thank you again for your help, we really didn’t want him waiting any longer then he already is”

“It’s not a big deal, we like keeping our costumers satisfied with all of our costumer services”

Elliot turned to the two after setting the boxes down, his previous professional smile fading the moment he took notice of them standing uncomfortably close in his space.

“And your services will be greatly appreciated by everyone!”

Before Elliot could even react the two cultist took a hold of him. Keeping his arms behind his back and doing their best not to let go of him as Elliot tried to get out of their grip. This was supposed to be a in and out situation. This is not a in and out situation. Elliot struggled again the two cultist as well as yelling at them. He was used to having weird, out of the ordinary interactions with costumers but not this out the ordinary. Elliot only paused his struggling as he heard a mumbled yell from the other side of the door that seemed to be taken notice by the cultists.

Moving closer to the two large doors the opened them revealing a much more lightened up room. Crowd of people surrounded the room staring right at the three, all wearing the same or very similar clothing to the two who were holding Elliot. What insane murderous place did he get himself into. The two holding him moved forward forcing him to walk ahead. The people surrounding them moved out the way as they walked past until Elliot found himself in the middle of the surrounded area.

There stood two people. One dressed awfully close to what a priest would wear seemed to stare at all three for a moment before nodding their head making the two behind Elliot sigh and whisper under their breath something along the lines of “oh thank god”

While the priest looking person was odd it wasn’t what caught Elliot attention at all. In fact it was the awfully tall… person? Being? That caught his attention. Watching what seemed to be black fog surround the being moving like there was constant wind blowing in the room, so did the cloak he wore. A crown floating above his head moved and tilted with however the being moved. As much as Elliot couldn’t quite tell if this thing even had eyes the tragedy mask faced him the whole time, with the additional sensation of eyes burning into his head.

Only being able to move his gaze from the thing when he felt the texture of rope over his hands. Quick to try and get out their grip again one of them got annoyed with his struggle and moved his leg under Elliot’s knocking him off of his balance. The ropes dug into Elliot’s skin as it was tightened enough to almost cut off complete circulation to his hands.

Looking back at the cultists with a glare the two stepped away from him. Turning his head he only now noticed the priest walking over to him with something in their hand. They made their way over and behind Elliot before speaking.

“Much to our luck, we won’t have to bare picking one of our own members for todays sacrifice. Our wonderful members managed to find this one around the temple. It simply can’t be thought of anything other then fate for him to become the sacrifice we can give to our god!”

The entire room erupted in cheer, some started chanting “sacrifice!” over and over again. Elliot’s blood ran cold at the realization of what was about to happen. This was supposed to be another regular order, he was supposed to be back at the pizza place by now! He promised his sister he would be alright and back without so much as a scratch. Now he was going to be sacrificed. Not even able to say any last words to his family.

He doesn’t know when he started crying, not that he was aware of it as of now. All of a sudden everything around him sounded like muffled noises. What he could hear was the sound of his breathing and his heart rapidly increasing by the second. Feeling something cold placed under his chin as he was forced to lift his head up by the object, he finally came back to earth.. kind of..

“Don’t cry now, your sacrifice will be much appreciated by The Void Cult as well as it will be appreciated by our god Noli”

The name does sound familiar. But there was no way he was about to try and figure that out as his final thoughts. Whatever the cold object was moved from under his chin to the side of his neck. The sharpness he felt from where the object was place only gave a clue as to what it was. It was some sort of knife. Or well dagger since cultist just love their fancy knives.

As he felt the dagger press against his skin he shut his eyes tightly, saying everything he wanted to say to his family in his head as he waited for his neck to be slit open…

A sudden loud sound came right next to Elliot’s ear like something just exploded right next to him before a blood curdling scream came from behind Elliot. Daring to open his eyes, he looked behind him only to feel sick to his stomach at the sight of the priests hand. It looked as if it was just obliterated by a explosion. The priest continued to scream in agony as everyone stared at them in horror. Some having to look away from the scene completely. The only thing that stood out from the rest was the low laughing Elliot heard.

Moving his attention to in front of him he watched the being- now knowing the name as Noli, lowly laughing at the scene. One of his hands was out of the cloak, positioned to make a “finger gun” gesture as a glowing white star floated right above the tip of his index finger. The star for some odd reason seemed to be steaming as well… Noli turned his head from the direction of the priest down to look at Elliot and shrugged.

“My finger slipped.”

… At least he was alive..?

Notes:

I don't think I need to add a tag for violence since I haven't gone much into the details of it so I think it's fine if I don't tag it

Funfact I'm supposed to post two chapters one after the other because I have them ready but I started re-reading the last bit of my next chapter and hated it so instead of posting it right after this one I'll probably post it in a few hours if not tomorrow...

Chapter 5: Offerings

Notes:

I said I was only gonna re-write the ending bit of this chapter and ended up rewriting the entire chapter instead.

I started re-writing the moment I woke up help me.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

It was hard to feel at peace in this situation even if Elliot didn’t die… at least for now- the endless screaming in agony going on behind him isn’t really something a normal person would find peaceful. It’s in fact doing the opposite. If the arm obliteration was caused by the so called god in front of him god knows what he could do if Elliot upset him accidentally. Speaking of which, he didn’t seem all that pleased now. The endless screaming was starting to become annoying rather then funny to him. With the finger gun pointed back at the priest it made everyone freeze in place.

“Stop screaming. Now it’s only becoming annoying. Keep it up and your jaw is next”

The room fell quiet. The priest did their best to try and suck up the shock waves of pain that were going through their body at the moment to try and keep themself as quiet as they could. It was at least enough for Noli not to act on his words and lowered his hand down. The Void Star moved away from the tip of his finger, back to floating by his side instead.

“Much better, one of you drag them off to the clinic room. And out with the rest of you”

He wasn't staring at anyone specific so it was a task for whatever member took the first action, not willing to keep their agitated god waiting the members quickly got on their feet to do his orders. A few members helped out dragging the priest away from the center of the room out to the many doors and out to where Elliot could only guess was the clinic that Noli mentioned.

The others that weren't dragging the priest away left the room as well going to any of the doors in the room to do their work at the temple. Just as long as it wasn't in the room they were currently in someone was bound to be working there.

Each door that lead to this door slowly but surely shut closed leaving the two alone. Barely hearable voices often muffled near the door but nothing a person could make sense of. Sure Elliot was sort of saved by Noli from being sacrificed but still we are talking about this random demi-god that destroyed his own members hand because of "his hand slipping". He looked around the room trying to see if there could be any way of getting out of the ropes that were tied around his wrists or maybe trying to plan a way to make a run for it out of the temple.

Whatever he may have tried to even think of were quickly shut down once he saw Noli walking up to him. He hated the thought of giving up so easily about breaking out but what could he do in this situation? Out run a demi-god? What does he look like? Hermes? He could only avoid eye contact with the demi-god as he walked up behind him.

Mind racing with how did he get himself in this situation he hadn't even noticed Noli saying something to him from how much he was far stuck in his mind. Only thing snapping him out of his mind was the sudden feeling of some of burning sensation coming from his wrists.

Grabbing ahold of his wrists he hissed in pain for a moment. He had been through this already a few times while cooking, even so he still hasn't built up a pain tolerance to completely ignore it. Rubbing his wrists he checked the bruising that was left behind from the ropes. Some color that was missing in his hands slowly faded in as blood started to flow normally back into his hands. It was only now that Elliot realized the lack of ropes being tied around his wrists as well as now the additional scaring around his wrist that looked like 2nd degree burn marks. Nothing too horribly bad especially with how little space of his skin the scaring took up.

Elliot turned his head over to Noli as he continued to rub his wrists to hopefully ease the pain he was feeling from them. He watched the other as he seemingly spoke to himself while looking in the direction where the cultists dragged the priest away.

“I really need to take back that immortality blessing from them..”

Noli turned his head towards Elliot’s direction and stared down at him before continued speaking, now clearly speaking to Elliot rather then himself.

“You give one robloxian the gift of immortality and then start becoming the most annoying thing that has ever walked earth. Now I have to think of who else to have as the cults leader.”

Silence dragged out between the two, Elliot didn't try to give his two cents on Noli's comment, simply from not wanting to saying something that the demi-god didn't find as a pleasing answer to his question. So the next best thing was to keep his mouth shut and show that he was paying attention to Noli's words to keep his head.

Noli paid a good minute or so attention to Elliot before turning away from him. Walking over to one of the huge doors in this room he paused in front of the doors before looking back at Elliot. With a tilt of his head he sent The Void Star to go behind Elliot making him quickly get up on his feet to avoid the star. The more The Void Star moved closer to Elliot's back the more Elliot moved forward to avoid it. Only stopping once he realized he was about to bump into Noli which at the same time The Void Star stopped floating behind his back and floated back to Noli's side.

"You're gonna need some more work on following orders around here. Even if I don't speak of them out loud"

The doors up in front of them opened on their own as Noli continued to walk forward. Elliot stayed where he was, processing Noli's words he couldn't quite get at whatever Noli was trying to do. Finally pulling himself together he started speaking with the demi-god.

"Where exactly are we going..?"

"The tailor room, you cannot be just walking around in.. that"

One of the arms under Noli's cloak peaked out as he pointed at the way Elliot was dressed. Well he didn't think the uniform was that bad, I mean it matched the job pretty well in his opinion. At the same time he wasn't really planning on staying here any longer then he already was anyways.

"There is no need for that, I was planning on heading out anyways-"

"And who allowed you to leave?"

Elliot's explanation of him heading out was quickly cut off by Noli's remark. There was no way he was actually planning on making him stay in the temple.. right?? Another dragged out silence between the two was shared as Elliot realized he was being serious.

"I'm sorry..? I can't possibly stay here forever-"

"Of course you can. You were gifted as a sacrifice and I let you live, the least you could do as a thank you is listen and stay here… Forever!"

There is a mock in Noli's tone as he spoke back to Elliot. Oh he was serious about this.

"Isn't there like… any other way I could show my gratitude? That can't possibly be the only option I have"

Noli finally turned himself fully to stare at Elliot before walking back up to him, that made Elliot take a few steps back when he was getting too close. The doors that originally opened on their own to let the two enter the other part of the temple now closed on their own leaving a loud thud behind them. Elliot could feel his blood run cold once more. Did he manage to pick the wrong words to say? Was he about to be killed finally?

A million questions ran through his mind before Noli finally paused in his steps leaving the two back in the middle of the room. He slouched down to Elliot's height being almost in his face about it as he continued his mocking tone.

"And do you have anything better you can think of to show your gratitude?"

Now he had to think back on what he could do in this situation. He was sure that Noli wasn't gonna give up on his idea of "showing gratitude" on something that had no meaning for him. He was a demi-god he expected some type of worship as a thanks for not making him into a sacrifice. Thinking back on the ways other robloxians used to show gods or these immortal beings their worship for them most built temples and did sacrifices for them. Unlike them Elliot wasn't willing to sacrifice another being nor did he have the ability to just make a temple for him on his own. Not that Noli needed another temple anyways.

One thing however came to Elliot's mind that he could do without having to do either things. Some less violent or builder robloxians showed their worship to who ever by giving them some sort of food for the being to eat. Specifically handmade food instead of store bought food. Which was something Elliot could do without worry. It was still a sign of worship. He was putting time and effort to make something for the demi-god, it should be at least something.

"I could do food offerings? It's still a way of showing worship for beings like you right?"

Noli didn't seem all that convinced by Elliot's offer. He shook his head in a tired and disappointed manner that the most Elliot was willing to do was a food offering. For a moment it didn't seem like Noli was going to agree.

"Do you have anything to show for how a food offering from you would be?"

Remembering the pizza orders that the cult made he quickly walked back to the large doors that he was dragged from. Noli was quick on his heel, following him before stopping at the sight of the pizza boxes sat on the counter next to the doors. He watched as Elliot opened one of the boxes of pizzas and show off how the pizzas inside looked. The hallway was now filled with the aroma of the pizzas most likely across half the temple as well. Noli said nor did anything for a moment, kind of giving Elliot a fright that either he was offended or wasn’t gonna comply but he took one of the pizza slices and ate it. Elliot watched him eat waiting for some sort of reaction that would show if he was gonna get away with giving food offerings to him or not.

Taking another slice Noli seemed to be in his own train of thoughts as he ate. Elliot didn't rush him for a answer. He didn't want to push his luck with this now and it wasn't so bad watching another person…being… eat peacefully. Finishing the 2nd slice Noli finally turned his attention to Elliot. With a heavy sigh he looked down at the pizza boxes.

“No immortal being actually feels hunger.”

"… Oh"

“That’s not to say we can't taste or desire food. Just no real need for food.”

“Oh thank god”

Elliot sighed in relief at Noli's words, the wight on his shoulders felt like they were finally taken off from being so tense the entire day.

“Thank whatever god you believe in because I’m feeling so nice today I’ll take your offer. For now.”

How did that work. Elliot stared at Noli with wide eyes almost popping out of his sockets. Noli on the other hand didn’t seem to be overjoyed by his own decision and glared down at him.

“Well. Get going. I’m on the verge of rethinking my decision.”

With those final words Elliot took hesitating steps to the way of the exit while he stared at Noli, once he saw he was being dead serious he didn’t waste time to run for it to the exit door. Now feeling the cold outside air he finally felt like he was breathing normally. The sun was setting, no doubt was he to get home at night from how far he was from the pizza place. Much less how far he was from his own home. Thankfully his motorbike stood outside right where he left it, completely untouched. Grabbing the helmet off of the motorbike and putting it on, he turned the motorbike on and quickly drove off before any other crazy cultists would harass him for today.

He did in fact arrive home at night. His father completely worried about him not arriving back at work at a normal time. Elliot only gave him the excuse that the costumers were complicated and that there was traffic on the road. He hid his hands behind his back as he spoke to his father about how tiring it was driving for so longer and how traffic was a pain to deal with. His father took the bait allowing Elliot to quickly make his way upstairs to the bathroom after the conversation. Searching the bathroom cabinet mirror to search for some bandages and antibiotic cream. Once he found the two items he did his best to cover all the skin that was covered in the 2nd degree burn as well as making sure the burses of the rope were hidden by the bandages. As he finished tying up the bandages he stared down at his hands and sighed. He saw some type of shimmer while he was taking care of his wounds. He just hoped it wasn’t some type of infection or something.

His own train of thoughts were soon ended at the noise of the bathroom door creaking. Looking over to the door he noticed his sister at the door with a look of worry. He almost completely forgot about the fact he was so worried about not living up to his own promise of coming back in one piece. Elliot smiled down at his sister , once more ruffling her hair to which he received a eye roll from her but not getting his hand smacked away like usual.

“See! I told you I would come back in one piece!”

Mia let out a long sigh before she stared down at the bandaged hands. Elliot thought for a moment before crouching down at Mia's height level, he put his pointer finger up to his lips as he spoke in hushed tone.

"Don't tell dad but I accidentally scrapped up my hands while driving the motorbike. You know how dad is about me driving a motorbike"

Mia let out a huffed laugh at his comment about their dad disliking the thought of either of his kids driving what he calls a "death killing motor vehicle". Elliot could only hope that she believed his lie as he stood back up. Looking over at the clock it was past the time their dad would allow Mia to stay up. With his hands on his hips looking like someone's dad he stared down at his sister. She knew what the look meant and rolled her eyes as she started heading towards her room.

“Dinner is in the microwave. Night El”

“Night Mia”

Elliot watched his sister walk back into her room before making his way to the kitchen. Just as she said his dinner was in the microwave waiting to be heated up. He pressed the start button and waited by the counter for it to finish. Once the microwave went off he took the bowl of spaghetti up to his room and closed the door. He sat at his desk, putting the bowl down in front of him and opened up his laptop. Something still bothered him. He felt like he knew that name. Something about the name Noli was right at the tip of his tongue but he could place what it exactly was.

Taking a bite of his food, he searched up the name Noli. It might of been some known thing at least a little if he had a whole cult dedicated to him right? … Millions of articles showed up about Noli, from each disaster he caused when he was very active in Robloxia to when The Void Cults temple was destroyed by the Admins to catch him off guard and sealed him away… centuries ago. Centuries ago. And now he was back once more. It didn't seem to be a known thing that he was back. No article spoke of it at all. He could only guess that he recently was broken out or the same day he meet him. Now Elliot sat in his room with the computer screen being the only thing casing a light to Elliot's face. The article about Noli being sealed away only blared in his face as he continued to stare at his screen. He managed to not only survive a sacrifice but also leave a demi-god of destruction's temple without being killed by Noli himself.

There was no way Noli let him out without some sort of second thought right? No one would willingly let go of a random person after they just broke out of a seal casted by the Admins. The thought of Noli keeping a eye on Elliot at all times seemed to be the only logical thing Elliot could think of and he wasn't so sure if that made him feel well… Not that he could just tell anyone about it either. This problem was now only Elliot's to deal with, he didn't want to involve others into this already fucked up mess.

Finishing his dinner Elliot went back down stairs to set the dish away before continuing his nightly routine before bed. Walking out the bathroom after a shower he lied down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. He can't remember when he fell asleep, the last thing Elliot could remember before he drifted off to sleep was his running thoughts on how he got himself into this situation.

Maybe he should start thinking about what food to make for a offering for the next week...

Chapter Text

“Are you done yet?? I wanna go homeeeeee”

Mia sighed again, tapping her foot against the wooden floor of the pizza place. She was waiting for her brother to finish up clocking out so she could finally head home for the day. Which. Was kind of silly to Elliot. She was given the choice of leaving early with her dad a few hours ago but instead decided to stay this time out of boredom of being alone in the house.

Elliot was grabbing his stuff from the staff room, taking his time to prepare to leave even with Mia telling him to hurry up. Just as he was about to leave the room he looked over at the calendar and paused. The week was almost up and he hadn’t taken a visit to Noli yet. Maybe it was from being shaken up from their first interaction or maybe from the fact that he found out that he just spoke with a immortal being of destruction that was sealed away from everyone centuries ago. Whatever the case may be he didn’t want to deal with pissing off a immortal being.

Walking out of the staff room he walked with his sister out of the pizza place to his motor bike. He knew that his father was probably having a heart attack back home thinking about his poor daughter ridding around on a motor bike. It was already difficult to convince their dad to get Elliot a motor bike in the first place, however he trusted Elliot with driving around safely and making sure nothing bad happened to his sister. Elliot gave Mia his helmet as he waited for her to adjust the chin strap, he could only think about what he should make as a offering.

The past few days he has been looking up what other robloxians had offered their being of worship to maybe get a idea on what he should make for Noli. However each one came up with a different result. Each being had a different want of food none of them were the same. Which… fair point. Some preferred just fruits as a offering, some preferred sweet treats that were to the point of tooth rotting and some just wished for alcoholic drinks. Now Elliot was stuck with trying to figure out what Noli would like as a food offering. Honestly he wouldn’t be all that surprised if he wanted his offering to be a whole dinner from how highly he thought of himself. He guessed he could just make a regular food and ask when he visits the temple what he would like for his offerings.

Elliot snapped out of his train of thoughts once hearing his name called out. Looking over at Mia who now had the helmet on and was sitting on the motor bike.

“Do you have any plans for today? I don’t have anything to do and scrolling on my phone is even boring now.”

Elliot tilted his head for a moment thinking about her question. Slightly feeling bad from already having today day planned out… Though he could use a helping hand during cooking. Maybe he could make extra amount of the food for his family to eat for dinner while he’s out. If he will take too long at the temple he’s sure there is a gas station open 24/7 he could find and get something to just fill up his hunger for the night.

“I’m planning to just cook dinner for today, if you want to help me out with that you can”

Elliot only received a nod from Mia before he got on the motor bike and drove off back to their home. Safely making it home, the two went inside the house to start working on the food. While Mia was busy with putting up her hair so it would be out of her face and not bother her during cooking, Elliot scrolled on his phone trying to figure out what they could make. A food that would be good for dinner as well as a good offering for a demi-god.

His scrolling came to a pause as he got another phone shoved in his face. It was Mia's phone. Looking at the screen it showed a recipe for Shuizhu. A spicy Sichuan cuisine that wasn't the most difficult to make and was a good choice for dinner. It would be also good to test out different food tastes to see which ones he should focus on and which ones he should maybe stay far away from as a offering. Putting his phone on the counter he grabbed Mia's phone and looked over what to prepare for the dish.

First thing to do was to cut the beef tenderloin into even thin slices. Elliot worked on the cutting while Mia prepared ginger scallion water in the mean time for marinating. Finishing the last slice Elliot placed the beef slices in a bowl, grabbing the salt container and Shaoxing wine to marinate the beef. Once Mia was done with making the ginger scallion water she added it to the bowl as well as adding one egg white and a table spoon of corn starch.

Elliot mixed and messaged the ingredients together. Each slice of beef was important to soak in the moisture, it was to insure that each slice would be extra tender after cooking. Making sure that each beef slice was mixed well he left the bowl aside to marinate for fifteen to twenty minutes while the two paid attention to the other steps of the recipe. Looking over at Mia she already prepared small bowls of beansprout and chopped baby napa cabbage for the vegetables. He was going to work on the aromatics then, finely chop a piece of ginger and a couple of garlic cloves. Putting those aside, Elliot looked back to see how his sister was doing before sweat dropping at the scene of her preparing the dry chili and Sichuan peppercorn.

"Make sure to shake out the seeds out of the dried chilies. All of them."

"Do I have to though??"

"Me and dad don't have the same spice tolerance that you spawned with."

"Maybe you two should start building one-"

"Mia."

"OK FINE"

Elliot watched Mia not so happy cut open the dry chilies and shake out the seeds from each one of them until each one was completely empty. The seeds make the chilies much more spicier then they already were, as much as Mia could handle that Elliot and their dad couldn't… as well as he wasn't planning to be suspected of trying to kill the demi-god with spices. Elliot turned away from Mia as he prepared the stove and pan where they would be cooking the chilies and peppercorn.

Adding oil into the pan he looked back at Mia as she walked over to the stove and dropped in the now empty dried chili and peppercorn into the pan. They roasted it on low heat up until the color of the ingredients changed color. Turning off the stove Mia took the pan and placed the chili and peppercorn on a cutting board to chop. Right before she could she got gloves shoved in her face. Sighing heavily she put them on while Elliot shook his head.

"Don't sigh at me, last time you rubbed your eyes after cutting these and cried about it"

Mia didn't response other then muttering something under her breath as she went back to chopping. Elliot grabbed the vegetables that Mia prepared and brought them to the pan, mixing them together he cooked them while adding some salt into the mix. Once the vegetables seemed very cooked he put them in two serving bowls and one container. Mia finished up chopping the chilies and peppercorn into a course powder and put it aside, she moved to help Elliot prepare the boiled beef soup.

Adding Sichuan chili bean paste into the pan she stirred it until it was fragrant, Elliot dropped in the chopped ginger, half of the chopped garlic and a teaspoon of chili powder into the pan while Mia mixed it all together. When mixed well they added half cups of water into the mix, letting it cook into a boil before adding the beef slices into the soup and wait for it to start boiling again.

The last thing to add to the soup was corn starch water that will thicken up the soup and stir. Finishing it up Elliot poured the soup into the serving bowls and container. He added the chili and peppercorn powder and the garlic on to the bowls as Mia watched. He noticed the head tilt from her from the corner of his eye and was already mentally preparing for her questionings.

"Why are one of the serving plates a container?"

"One of my… friends.. wanted to try some of my cooking so I'm planning to give them some to try"

"You're not gonna eat it?"

"No, besides I'm not that into spicy food. Especially not the ones you enjoy too much"

Mia rolled her eyes at her brothers comment. The conversation would of continued if the noise of the front door unlocking didn't interrupt them. It was their dad, which Elliot was thankful to see since now he could leave early to head to the temple. From the aroma the food gave off Mr. Builder quickly found the two in the kitchen and greeted them.

Mia handed her father his plate before going into detail of how the two made the food for dinner. In the mean time Elliot was closing up the container with the food he was going to give to Noli, as well as wrapping the container in foil so it would keep the food warm for the time he would be driving.

Mr. Builder paid close attention to his daughters words about their cooking time before he turned his attention to his son. There was a confused expression marked on his face when he noticed the container already asking his son questions about it just like Mia did earlier.

"Why are you putting the food in a container?"

"It's a gift for a friend. Speaking of which, I should start going to meet up with them-"

"Well why didn't you just invite them over for dinner? You know I don't mind when you bring your friends over, they are such nice people"

He paused in his footsteps walking out of the kitchen from hearing his dads words. To bring over a immortal being to his house, to his family for dinner? Especially after almost being sacrificed? … Yeah no he wasn't risking this demi-god knowing his exact location. He shook his head as he walked over to the coat hangers, taking off one of his jackets he answered his father.

"They said that they would be working late today so I offered to just come visit their work and gift them the food myself"

He's really building up this lie to the max wasn't he? But he had to make it seem believable. He didn't want to drag his family into this weird cultic mess he found himself in. It was a good enough lie for his father to nod his head to without questioning it much.

A final goodbye to his father and sister, and a warning from his father to not stay out too late, Elliot stepped out the house looking through his phone to find the address where the temple was located. It was strange at first that the place was in the middle of no where when they called the pizza place to get their order, but now it seemed understandable… To some degree. Still they could of at least gave a fake address to meet at for their sake. I mean if he had gotten away the moment they tried to grab him he could of just drove off and reported them..

Why wasn't he reporting them? Sitting here now on his motorbike with the temples exact address and yet he has yet to report them to the Admins. It wouldn't be the first time he would report someone to the Admins, so it wasn't fear of the Admins that was the problem. So what was the problem then? Why wasn't he writing out a report about the come back of the cult?

Why was he even doing all of this for a demi-god that was gonna have him as a sacrifice? Elliot stared down at the nearly wrapped container in his lap for a minute before putting it inside the box that sat at the edge of the motor bike. Putting his helmet on he started up the motor bike and driving off to the direction that showed on his phone. There was no good reason for him to just do the beings bidding when he can finish this as fast as it came.

The streets were mostly empty, a few cars and motorcyclists out on a night drive, few people out on walks or coming out of their shifts. The night air was cold especially with nothing around him to keep the warmth out other then his jacket and helmet. The thoughts going through his head slowly fade away into nothingness as the sight of the Admins headquarters came into view. And just as clear the view came into sight it just as quickly faded away from Elliot's sight, driving past it he could feel a pit in his stomach as he glanced down at the location his phone was directing him to.

It didn't take long before the streets became completely empty. No cars, motorcyclists or any people around. The sound of crickets was the only thing that could be heard all around. The previous empty thoughts blurred back into worry each time the estimated arrival time went down. The Void Cult's temple slowly coming into view he slowly slowed down his motor bike as he stared up at the members who stood on the roof watching his every move.

Stopping his motor bike he got off it and took off his helmet to talk to the members, surely they would understand his reasoning for being here. Just as he looked back up at the roof to speak to the members he stopped. They weren't there anymore. Not a moment later a loud creaking noise came into earshot as the front doors of the temple slowly opened. Two of the cult members standing on each side of the door keeping it open, not saying anything but staring at Elliot.

Elliot stared back at the two. Being the first one to break eye contact he walked to the back of his motor bike to grab the food from inside the box. Thankfully from the food being cleanly and carefully wrapped there was no spilling or damage to it. He walked up to the doors, stopping right at the entrance. He only moved when both members moved their head in the direction inside the temple inviting him inside.

Making his way inside and down the long hallway he could hear the doors shut behind him before the noise of shuffling footsteps appeared behind him. He wasn't too surprised that the two would follow but still it was nerve wracking to be going through the same thing he did the day he was almost sacrificed. It wasn't hard to find his way back through the temple to the main room of the temple, however there was no Noli in sight in that room. Other members rushed around doing their tasks but not the same as last time he was there.

Some members paused their work to look at Elliot but quickly turned back to their work. Elliot paused in the middle of the room looking around for any sight of the immortal being, the sound of footsteps came closer from behind him until one of the two members walked in front of him.

"This room is only used for important meetings and sacrifices. Great Noli rarely uses this room outside of that. He's in his throne room. Follow."

They didn't wait for a reply before they started walking again making Elliot quickly follow. The other member stayed behind Elliot ensuring him to not get lost and to not try to flee or do something stupid. Which. He wasn't planning on having his head exploded off so there was no chance of him messing around in this moment.

The three walked without another word shared amongst each other. Elliot was glad that was the case, he didn't think he could deal another second with speaking to anyone here at the moment. He only paid attention to the things around them to at least recognize each room and hallway if there would be a need for him to make a run for it. He hoped that wouldn't be the case.

After what felt like ages of walking the member in front of him came to a sudden stop. In front of them were tall heavy double doors painted in black with some of the details on the door colored in silver. The drawing of the temple on the door as well as The Void Star shinning down on it was draw in the middle. Just how much did this temple care for details to remake this whole thing. Most of the temple was destroyed long ago, offered to be rebuilt by the Admins that the cult refused and remade the temple all on their own. The belief of a high being will do that to you. It wasn't the first time a super "religious" person built something out of scratch for a god.

The two cultists walked over to each door, grabbing the handles they pulled the heavy doors open to reveal the inside of the room. Inside was more lively then Elliot expected. Cultists all around were doing different tasks. Some were cleaning, some were taking care of the plants in the room and some were speaking to Noli, whom sat on a throne. He was resting his head against his palm, as much as the cultists were trying to keep him entertained it seemed they lost his interest awhile ago. The Void Star that usually floated near his hand was now floating near his head, he's sure if the Star could show emotion it would also be unamused.

What caught Elliot's attention the most was the person standing next to the throne. It was that priest that tried to sacrifice him not long ago. They seemed almost the exact same as last time but just with the change of them being much less talkative and the lack of one of their hands. He can still remember the sight of the blood leaking through the freshly opened arm, he wasn't so sure how he managed to eat that day. The priest was the first to notice him aside from the cultists who were working. Elliot lowered his head slightly down maintaining eye contact while the priest glared at him.

Great. He accidentally made a enemy he barely knows anything about. The priest looked back and fourth from Elliot's face to the wrapped up container. Seeing a person you just barely didn't sacrifice show up to the temple with a suspiciously wrapped container would have anyone raising an eyebrow. Elliot watched the priest stepped away from Noli's side to confront him, Elliot could only sigh seeing that this conversation is gonna take awhile, not only did the priest now dislike Elliot but probably will just assume he came to poison their god when he would explain he came to deliver a offering.

The priests walking came to a stop as a beam to light flickered in front of them, it was The Void Star. The Void Star moved in front of the priest automatically making them back away from it, he hadn't seen anyone show this much fear to a star ever. Granted he was the one that made sure the star didn't touch him either last time he was here. He watched as the star continued to back the priest away until they were back at the spot they were a few moments ago. The Void Star moved back to Noli's side, only now did Elliot notice that the demi-god had noticed him. Noli made a shooing gesture with his hand towards the cultists that were speaking to them before sitting up straight on his throne.

"Finally you arrived, I was starting to think that you were a liar! I hate liars."

Noli spoke in a much more upbeat tone then he did a few days ago, he did just come back from being sealed away for centuries, anyone would be sour mood from that. His tone dropped however at the mention that he hated liars, in a odd way he could have some respect for that, he didn't like liars just as anyone else.

"I don't make empty promises… especially not to immortal beings"

As much as Elliot couldn't tell any type of emotion from Noli's face he felt like he had lifted the demi-gods mood just a bit from his comment. Noli waved his hand to Elliot in a gesture to come closer, as much as right now everything seemed much more light hearted then last time Elliot couldn't help but still have a horrible gut feeling about the whole situation he got himself into. Still with no where to go other then forward he stepped closer to the throne.

Stopping a few comfortable feet away from him Elliot unwrapped the container and opened the lid to show the food inside. Thankfully the foil kept the food warm, small smoke exited the container making Noli lean closer to have a better look at the food inside. Elliot started to explain the ingredients, how it was cooked, how its usually eaten and so on. In all honesty Elliot was always proud of any food he made, he liked cooking and loved sharing it with others, its only better when others like the taste of the food.

Coming to a end of his ranting he waited for Noli to make any type of comment… he didn't. Not for a good few minutes at least. That made Elliot's sweat drop, was it from talking to much? Did he dislike something in the ingredients? Was he allergic to something in it? Can immortal beings even be allergic to something?? Noli's voice brought him back to earth making him pay full attention to whatever may had caused his sudden silence.

"Is the cat decorated container also part of your big explanation or are you trying to make me seem like a joke?"

… Now he remembers why he hasn't reported him to the Admins. Sealed away for centuries. Coming back vengeful for what the Admins did to him. So much more alert for every action, every word, every mistake. There isn't a ounce of doubt that if Elliot managed to report him to the Admins he would of some how found out. Even if the Admins went after him again how long would the action take? They waited until he let his guard down to seal him away how long would that take this time?

By the time they even consider doing this all over again he might find out. It wasn't even the fear of Noli going after him, more like him finding out about other people in his life that worried him. Vengeful immortal beings with a whole temple ready to do whatever their order was at any moment doesn't sit right with him in the slightest. If the temple would go out of their way to find other people in his life to make it even worse.

Elliot held his breath staring down at the container, he was busy with cooking, preparing the actual container and making up excuses why he was going out so late he hadn't paid attention to that detail at all. His palms were becoming sweaty at this point, he couldn't tell if it was from how scared he was or from the heat of the container warming up his palms. Taking one look at the door he came from he was already thinking of running. However the two members standing at each of the doors side was clear he wouldn't get far.

Just as he was starting to feel like he was becoming lightheaded a loud almost glitched out laugh pull him together, making his brain start working again and remembering that breathing is something he should be doing. His attention moved away from the door back to Noli, he was slouched in his throne holding his stomach as he continued to loudly laugh. The other cultists paused what they were doing to stare at the two. A lot of them had surprised and concern expressions on their face. A glance over at the priest and they seemed to be completely taken aback at Noli's laughter.

"Oh you should of seen your face! You look DEAD right now! It's priceless!!"

Moving his hands away from his stomach Noli helped himself get up from the throne and walked over to Elliot. The Void Star quickly followed floating right next to his side until he stopped barely a few meters away from Elliot. Slouching down at Elliot's height Elliot moved his head to the side, it was horribly uncomfortable having a demi-god this close in your face especially when you believed you had pissed him off just moments ago.

"You have luck that i haven't been getting any type of… good entertainment today, that is such a stupid mistake and you look like you're about to drop dead right now"

He honestly felt like he could. Noli moved back to a normal posture before holding out his hand, without a word needing to be spoken a cultists quickly walked over to a table that seemed to have every eating utensil out there. He knew immortal beings like Admins and… demi-gods were very old fashioned and liked to keep tradition but still it was surprising to see the cult completely keep said tradition. Even though he's sure more then half don't have those utensils at home. The cultist walked over to Noli giving him the option of chopsticks and a spoon, Noli took the spoon to eat both the meat and soup together at once.

Scooping out a good amount into the spoon he brought it closer to his mouth. Instinctively Elliot followed the spoon with the bowl to be right below it in case of any part of the food were to spill it wouldn't drop on the floor. Elliot watched as Noli ate his first bite, it didn't take long to finish before he looked down at Elliot as he spoke.

"Two for two, I'm impressed you managed to pick good foods twice in a row"

Elliot sighed in relief at Noli's words feeling once again at ease hearing he liked the food. He was glad he managed to make two foods that Noli liked so far he hadn't made a mistake with his so called offerings. Which reminded him of a thought he had that day.

"Well I did slightly panic about not knowing what type of food you liked… or possible allergies, it would be good if I knew-"

"Then stay for a bit longer, I could use a amusing chat for once"

Silence overtook the room while Noli paid no attention to it taking another spoonful of the food in front of him. The cultists seemed awestruck at the fact Noli wanted an ex sacrifice to keep him company and chat with him. While Elliot was debating of staying another second here longer. Looking over at the clock on the wall it was barely past eleven P.M. his father had warned him not to stay out late and he didn't want to stay but… if his answers went unanswered and he made a mistake with the food it could cost him a lot…

"Sure… only for a bit, I should be heading home later"

"Joy."

Noli clapped his hands twice and the people in the room started to leave without a word at all. They all moved to the double doors except one. The priest.

"You leave too. I believe my sacrifice wouldn't be so comfortable having you around"

The priest stared at him for a moment before slowly bowing their head and making their way to the doors like everyone else. It didn't go unnoticed by Elliot the glare that was shot in his way but he tried to act like he didn't see it. Once everyone was gone from the room Noli grabbed the container and walked back to his throne.

"Sit, you aren't one of my workers to be standing around"

Elliot looked around wondering where exactly was he expecting him to sit with no chairs other then his throne being in the room. A sudden flash at the corner of his eye answered as a fancy chair appeared out of thin air next to Nolis throne. He sat down on the chair and turned his attention back to Noli who was taking another bite of his food.

"Go on, I'm sure there is a lot you wish to ask"

"Well.."

Notes:

Don't take the advice of how to cook Shuizhu from this fanfic I'm sure i fucked it up please go look at Yi's Sichuan Kitchen if you wanna make Shuizhu yourself she explains it better then I can in this fanfic.

Other then that hooray!!!!! over 4k words!!!! This chapter was gonna be a bit longer then this until I changed my mind on the ending.

Also no amount of words can explain how long I was looking for the word "headquarters" because I couldn't remember the word to save my life, I almost just left it written that the Admins had their own temple but I finally remembered the word after a day of trying to remember.

Anyways from here on out the chapters will have more of Noli and Elliot interacting (at least I'm guessing that's what I plan to do)

Chapter 7: Delusion

Chapter Text

“There was only the thing about what type of foods you wished to receive for offerings, just so I wouldn’t give you something you might hate as a offering… I would like to keep my head attached to my neck.”

Noli placed the container in his lap as he turned his head towards Elliot. Resting his chin on his open palm, he chuckled at Elliot’s words. He was finding Elliot amusing. Good. That was helping Elliot’s nerves to calm down around the demi-god.

“Oh but it’s so much more fun to keep you guessing what is the right choice and what might just offend me so badly that I would consider taking you up as a sacrifice again.”

A sweat dropped from Elliot’s forehead as he listened to Noli’s response. He wasn’t gonna make this whole deal any easier for him is he… Great… He shifted in his chair trying to think of what to say to maybe some how convince him to slip what he would prefer for food offerings.

“Do you always make your followers take wild guesses of what you want or is this now a me thing”

“I barely ask my followers for offerings, they do it at their own whim when ever they feel like they should be offering something to me. I never out right tell them what or when to give me something. Most walk around blind on what, how or when to offer something. On rare occasions very few members know exactly what they need to do, those are mostly the higher priests. They’re no fun when they know the exact moment.”

So it wasn’t just a thing he was doing to some how choke him up on a mistake. He really doesn’t seem to care for a lot of things, it makes Elliot confused on how he has such a huge following of worshippers but he wasn’t gonna question that out loud. Then again that was the reason why people started worshipping him wasn’t it? The thrill of chaos and the unknown with him made people want to stick around with him for as long as their mortality allowed them to.

Elliot watched Noli continue to eat the food he made making a random scale in his head on how he assumed Noli would prefer his food. Instead of sitting in silence for god knows how long and possibly boring Noli, Elliot decided to continue the conversation. Might as well when he already agreed to stay here for a bit.

“What do your followers often give for offerings to you… other then food.”

“A wide range of different things, they all decided what they wanted to give as offerings to me, some stuck with one for the entire time they worship me or some change their offerings every now and then. Of course not all of them get accepted by me. I don’t let just any ol thing be considered a good offering.”

Well he would expect him to stick with only one thing as a sacrifice in the slightest. He seems to get easily bored with the most mondain things. Thinking of what other things could be offerings to him is unnerving to think about, if he was going to be a sacrifice who knows what else they could of offered to him without a second thought. Just as his thoughts were running every possible offering Noli continued speaking.

“Food and drinks are a popular choice though they only come in as second most popular, sacrifices of people is something they do much more. Random people they find, their own families, members of the cult. Some even tried to admins which was something I will never forget at how hard I laughed at their failure with that one! horribly stupid of them.”

He doesn’t have that much care for his own followers, if anything they’re all there as an act of entertainment until their doom. It doesn’t come to a shock that cultists tried to do the most for the one they worshipped but then again, the Admins??? That was a long stretch for them to think they could take down any one of them. He can’t even begin to think of which one they tried to take down. It might have been a bigger reason why they decided to seal off Noli. Unable to take down one of the Admins but able to break one of their seals, the cult has priorities and it’s not safety.

“Do you not have concern for your followers? Wouldn’t you… want them to stay around and you know worship you?”

He received another laugh from Noli. In most cases a god either it be demi-god for fully a god would try their best to keep their followers from harm at least in most cases. Noli didn’t seem to carry that care for his followers in the same light.

“If they’re stupid enough to get into such trouble I’m not their caregiver to pull them out of their idiocy.”

Well he guessed that was a good point. No one is that stupid to mess with any Admin other then well those people who tried. The container was brought back to Elliot once Noli finished the food he brought. Again he can’t tell what Noli thoughts were on the food expression wise he took the empty container as a good sign that he enjoyed the meal. He placed the container down on his lap as he continued to talk with Noli.

It was odd wasn’t it? Having a casual conversation with a demi-god you were a sacrifice to. Much more odd he still did fear him and yet here he was sitting around chatting with him. He can’t tell if he should take this as a good thing or not. While it was good that he didn’t feel like he should be fearing for his life, it was worrisome that he was feeling this type of normal around a being like Noli. Maybe it was a fright response. Whatever it was he soon snapped back into reality seeing The Void Star get to up and close to his face. Its light flickered before moving back to Noli’s side who was just watching Elliot now. He might of noticed his zoning out.. damn it.

“You still here on earth or did your brain take a trip to the void?”

“I was listening!”

No he wasn’t and honestly he couldn’t tell saying that lie to Noli was a good idea or not. Maybe he would go back to talking without questioning him-

“Then what did I say?”

-DAMN IT! Elliot tried to jog his memory of what Noli could of possibly been talking about as of now but his mind could only come to a blank page. He looked at Noli for a moment before staring straight at the floor like the tiling and gray carpet were the most interesting thing in the entire world.

“Did my words of hating liars not click in your head.”

There is that feeling of being watched again. The walls filled with paintings of Noli in a religious light started to deform as a purple hue of glitches overtakes them. The once eerie silent room becomes suffocating with the sound of whispers that sound impossibly close to Elliot’s ears. He could feel sweat on every inch of his body he couldn’t even explain why. His head felt light from all of these things hitting at once. It felt nauseating. He felt dread to even think of looking at Noli with in this moment but he had no choice but to look at him. A hand under Elliot’s chin moved his head to turn and look at Noli. He looked deformed, hard to look at, The Void Star was bright by his side almost blinding him. Closing his eyes shut he waited once again for his death to arrive.

And just like last time it didn’t come. Instead the feeling of being watched and the screaming whispers all disappeared at once leaving the room back into its own silence. The hand that was under Elliot’s chin soon left with it before he could hear laughing from Noli. He was playing around with Elliot’s life and found it horribly entertaining. For a few minutes he still didn’t dare open his eyes only when Noli’s laughter died down and he didn’t feel any of his organs missing or any of his body parts ripped off did he have the confidence to dare and open his eyes.

Elliot was meet with Noli still sitting on his throne. His face was no longer deformed, he looked as same as before. The Void Star was still by Noli’s side. It wasn’t as bright as before, only flickering a light dim enough to have a small white glow around it. Noli watched Elliot’s eyes flicker to every corner of the room that moments before was filled with purple code. Elliot was breathing heavily without even noticing. Of course Noli noticed. He was breathing heavily the moment everything started to corrupt and some how Elliot didn’t hear it.

“You’re breathing awfully heavy”

Elliot’s attention shot right back to Noli as he spoke. It took him a moment to even registered that Noli was speaking actual words before he registered what he actually said. Focusing on calming his breathing, now his mind was asking millions of questions all at once. Not one of those questions did he think Noli would answer him with a straight answer, much less a answer at all. Still with so many questions he had to at least ask one of them out loud before his mind became too much again.

“…What was that…”

“What was what?

Snapping his head back to look at Noli, Elliot stared at Noli like he officially lost it. Noli rested back against a throne a elbow on one of the thrones arm rest and his cheek resting against the knuckles of his fist. He looked completely calm. He wasn’t expecting him to act freaked out or worried but at least angry! He just looked calm!! It felt infuriating.

“The whispers! The painting becoming deform by some purple code! Your star being as bright as the Sun! You-!”

Elliot couldn’t even finish his sentence as he felt like going on a agitated rant about everything he saw. And Noli? Nothing! Calm as ever! He let the room go quiet again for a good five minutes before just… shrugging!!!

“You sound schizophrenic, there was no such thing”

He didn’t believe him. He won’t believe him he saw it with his own eyes and heard it all. Noli lived for chaos why wouldn’t he lie about that?! The sudden feeling of needing to leave and for once he listened to his gut. Elliot got up and quickly walked over to the door he came from.

“I need to go home..”

He spoke in almost a mumble still too scared not to say anything to Noli, even when he didn’t get an answer back. Right as his hand was about to touch the handle the door erupted into code making Elliot take his hand away from it in a flight response. He backed away from the door until he felt hands on his shoulder from behind him. He stiffened at the sudden physical touch not expecting it in the slightest.

“Why did you back away from the door? I thought you said you were leaving.”

Noli’s grip on his shoulders tightened as he pushed Elliot towards the door. The code seem to worsen as he was brought closer to the door and shut his eyes again. The doors opened and again… nothing. Everything was still attached to him and set in place.

“You really can’t handle a delusion even on the second time seeing it”

… Delusion?? Elliot turned to look at Noli as in the same time he let go of Elliot’s shoulders. Noli made a gesture of jazz hands as some how white sparkles appeared from his hands.

“It’s one of the most fun powers to have really do recommend. They’re way more fun to do on newbies. Everyone else is so used to it, it gets boring even trying to scare them… you however.. oh your face is priceless to watch!”

Noli spoke in a cheerful tone as he stopped the gesture with his hands the sparkles disappeared. Another delusion much less harmful then the ones Elliot experienced. He couldn't believe it. That whole thing was just a delusion?! Noli wasn’t even that mad about him lying that he was listen! The sudden wave of tiredness filled Elliot after his revelation about one of- god knows how many- powers. He was ready to head home and maybe not even make it to his room but the living room and pass out on the couch. Rubbing his temple Elliot could only muster out a sigh before turning and walking towards the entrance and exit of the temple.

He didn’t hear any footsteps behind him or Noli getting mad at him for taking his leave silently. But one look over his shoulder he could see Noli following him to the exit. Great not only was he creepy he also didn’t have any sound to his footsteps! Amazing! As Elliot made it to the last double doors of the temple the same two cultists stood by each side of the doors watching Elliot before their eyes flickered over to their demi-god. They didn’t utter a word as they opened the doors for the two keeping it wide open.

To Elliot’s tired joy his motorbike was still outside, not damaged in the slightest and ready to take him back to his home. This whole visit was awfully in every way he just wanted to go home now without any other weird delusion messing him up. Noli stood by the entrance of the temple watching Elliot walk to his motorbike and put on his helmet. While Elliot was adjusting his helmet Noli spoke once more.

“… Sour.”

“…What?”

“Sour is the one thing I hate more then anything to receive as a food offering”

Elliot’s hands came to a hold for a moment before they drop at his side. Looking over at Noli he didn't say anything else… Well at least he got a clear answer or one of his thoughts…

"… And… fa-"

"Sweets."

"Good to know."

It felt revealing to at least know something to do without a fear of messing it up. Finally adjusting his helmet Elliot started up his motorbike and waved off to Noli. Right before Elliot drove off he heard Noli speak.

"Goodbye, Elliot."

Noli watched Elliot drive off and stood there. The cultists that were holding the doors open peeked their head out from behind the doors and the moment they saw that Elliot was no where around they started speaking.

"He looks like a mess."

"He didn't even bow to our god! No manners!"

"Should we start a sacrifice next t- …"

The cultist was cut off by a loud sound of something crashing. The two looked down in front of Noli where the noise came… There on the floor was Noli's white tragedy mask shattered into pieces . The cultists quickly looked up at Noli to freak out about his mask some how falling and shattering but their voices got lost in their throat. They were completely taken back by the sight they saw of their god. The side of Noli's face that kept the tragedy mask was now replaced with a purple smiling mask. The two didn't dare to speak before Noli did.

"He's entertaining. I haven't had this much entertainment in centuries."

The masks mouth moved as he spoke completely different from the tragedy mask that only stayed the same as always, not moving at all when he spoke. The two cultists looked at each other saying nothing but the two could tell this would some how change for the cult. Noli finally stepped away from the front doors making the cultists close the doors and quickly follow behind him.

"Ring the bells, I've made a decision to change some things in the temple"

The cultists nodded and quickly left Noli's side to ring the bells just as Noli requested. Break of a old cycle and a start of a new one. Anything is fun when it's new and Noli lived for change and fun.

Elliot made his way back home by 3 A.M., finishing the sandwich he got from the gas station. Throwing away the wrapper it came with the sandwich, he took off his jacket and shoes before making his way to the living room and dropped on the couch. He was dead tired from everything that happened today he was ready to just pass out. Closing his eyes Elliot could already feel his mind blurring into dream land and right before he could one last thought popped up in his mind.

"… how did he know my name …"

"HOW DID HE KNOW MY NAME?!"

Notes:

Chapter Text

The week passed with never ending stress of work and Elliot's own stress about that damn demi-god knowing his name. The week from that day Elliot spent nights looking through never ending articles about The Void Cult and Noli on his own. Just how exactly did the Admins seal him away. From all the articles it seemed he would be unstoppable. Even the strongest immortal beings can't escape an Admins punishment. It didn't take long before Elliot's eyes started to strain during work. His coworkers started to notice, some decided not to pry into his personal business, while the others that were more friendly with him spoke their worry for his health.

Finishing up his shift Elliot was starting up his motorbike until the backdoor of the pizza place opened. Lulu quickly noticed him, making her way to him with a expression of weary and worry across her face. She seemed to be a little awkward with how to start this conversation without overstepping a line. She smiled at him, awkwardly playing with her hands as she tried finding the right words.

“Hey… Elliot… how was your shift?”

“Hello Lulu, it was… tiring to say the least, but that's what I get for being a hard worker!”

Even with Elliot's tiredness he did his best to still be nice and positive. It wasn't anyone's fault for his tiredness other then his own hunger for knowledge about that demi-god and the cult.

“We're really the backbone of this place. Though, don't like… overwork yourself you know? You started to seem… really badly tired? I'm not trying to pry into your own life but everyone is worried about you, you know?”

Elliot dropped his hands from the handles of his motorbike, listening to Lulu's words it made him cringe to himself about being so obvious about his tiredness. He really didn't need to be doing all of this research deep into the night. Especially when it wasn't THAT important. He sighed, trying to rub the tiredness from his eyes for the fifth time that day.

“I'm fine really, don't worry, I've been just… staying up looking at some horror content making it harder for me to sleep”

Well it wasn't a complete lie some of the articles he read through the night could of been considered horror content. Lulu shook her head at Elliot's words.

“Are you for real?? Elliot I've been worried sick about if something was horribly wrong that you weren't telling us! Ugh, don't look at any horror content tonight! You're gonna tire yourself to death!”

Elliot only nodded smiling at Lulu's words. He felt bad about lying to her but he reminded himself it was for the safety of everyone to not know about Noli. Telling his goodbyes to Lulu he drove off back home. He wished he didn't have to lie to her or anyone matter of fact. The guilt ate him alive but telling them would make him even more guiltier then he already was. For the safety of everyone he will keep silent about Noli's existence and keep doing those visits to keep Noli from rethinking his choices of letting him live.

After the last visit he had been trying to figure out what the fuck he saw that night. Everything was so disfigured it felt like a vivid nightmare. Noli said it was delusions but it didn't make sense to him how those delusions felt so real. Ugh he was questioning a immortal beings existence like he'd ever explain it without lying his ass off to him about it. A week had past since then and still there is a cold shiver that goes all over his body just remembering the night… Its been a week since his visit… ITS BEEN A WEEK SINCE HIS LAST VISIT?!

Elliot arrived home quickly then ever he may had went over the speed limit from the jumpscare he gave himself remembering that he had to visit Noli today. Every week visit the temple and give a offering to Noli. That's all he had to do and yet he almost forgot about it. Unlocking the door Elliot looked around as he stepped inside. It was quiet. He continued to walk inside until he paused inside the kitchen. A pink note was magnetized on the fridge with the familiar hand writing on it.

“Out with friends, i told dad. I'll be back before dinner ଲ(ⓛ ω ⓛ)”

Elliot huffed out a laugh at his sister's cat drawing next to her notes. Opening the fridge he thought about what he should make today. His thoughts came to a pause as he noticed a pot in the fridge with a note.

“Don't worry about dinner I made some - Love dad”

Elliot smiled at the note but that didn't help his dilemma. Tapping his heel against the floor he tried to think of what to do. Circling around in the kitchen for a few minutes before quickly stopping and going to the fridge to look for ingredients. Noli mentioned he liked sweets right? He could make a dessert treat! It would work well to make for his family and Noli! It worked out!

Elliot placed the ingredients on the counter and started to prepare the dessert. He worked on making a Swiss rolls for two containers. One to leave in the fridge for his family the other for Noli. He wasn't much of a baker as he was a cook but he still knew how to not completely fuck up a dessert and besides it's not THAT hard to follow a recipe book.

With in a hour Elliot made two containers of Swiss rolls. Staring down at the cut up Swiss rolls in the containers with a smile. They turned out better then he had expected. Finding one of the stacks of sticky notes he wrote on one of them to stick it on the container. A simple “I made this for dessert, I won't be home until around midnight :)” note before he placed it in the fridge.

Now the only other task to do is bring Noli his offering… and hopefully not deal with another delusion… ugh… putting on one of his jackets and put it on before taking the container outside the house. Putting it in the box on the back of the motor bike and securing it. Just the thought alone of having to possibly deal with another delusion was tiring him out. Alright that's enough of making himself tired he's gonna fall asleep on the road if he keeps going like this.

The road was quiet again, it cleared his mind enough to keep calm through out the ride. This was the 3rd time going and still he was only getting used to this additional task to his now every week. Driving around was the most calm he had felt the entire day, though that slowly vanished once he recognized the roads near the temple. All of the feeling of dread and panic disappeared for a moment though. Abruptly stopping his motor bike Elliot switched his gaze from the building up in front of him and his phone. The temple- or what was the temple was completely different. The layout was different, the color scheme, the stained glass were different. He couldn't tell if he had accidentally wrote in the wrong location or this was another delusion Noli decided to torture him with already at the start.

Just as he was about to turn around and retype the location, the doors of the building opened showing a person standing at the entrance. There was a moment of flight or fight in Elliot's system from the first time the cultists tried luring him in their temple. The only thing that stopped him from turning his engine back on and driving away was the notable familiar white star that was on the person's clothing as well as the... too familiar wrapped up sleeve from the missing hand...

The same annoyed and displeased expression sat on the familiar cultists face as they just stared at Elliot.

"...You. Should of guessed lord Noli was expecting you today ever since I woke up"

"That would make sense... today's the last day of the week for me to visit before this would of been turned into... a possible man hunt"

Elliot did his best to make light of the situation though his voice lightly quivered at the end of his sentence from thinking about the possibility of this actually turning into a man hunt if he had forgotten to visit. The priest didn't seem to be having the time of day to even act amused for Elliot's sake, the same unamused expression stayed on his face until he finally stepped away from the doors walking inside. Elliot stood there for a moment rethinking his choice of even going here but the moment the reminder of what would happen if he didn't visit hit him he quickly followed suit.

Inside everything looked way different. From the color pallet to the layout of the rooms. And he was just getting used to the temples layout. Though it wasn't a lot that he explored so it didn't make a huge difference. However he had the way to Noli's main room some what memorized and now it was completely changed.

But just like the first time he entered the temple he paid attention to each room they entered and left. Even with the cultists clothing were different from the last time he was here. The clothing that he saw on most people he assumed that it was clothing for just any cultists but the more detailed and different the clothing was the more important the member was. Speaking of which...

Elliot glanced back at the priest in front of him. There was something missing from what they wore last time he saw them. Sure the entire outfits changed and everything but it still had the same pieces that their last uniform had... other then the necklace that hung around their neck. It wasn't replaced with anything else at all just completely gone. It could of just been a style choice from Noli or the priest forgot to wear it... though.. seeing how they act with being so loyal to Noli... it was a hard doubt. Not like Elliot could casually ask them without getting some type of rude comment thrown back at him.

His thoughts came to a pause anyways as he noticed the two heavy doors in front of them that were ever so slightly ajar. Seeing how these doors were much more detailed from the rest he could only guess this was the replacement of his main room. The priest opened the doors fully like making a grand entrance while Elliot took in the new details of the room. Pillars down in a straight line on each side of the room with a long purple carpet following down the middle of the room, shelves on each side of the room held some reason stuff on them from offerings, as well as long tables decked out in many different foods and drinks for offerings. There were no seats around everyone was out to either stand as they talked to each other or did their tasks unless they decided sitting on the ground was a better option. At the far end of the room there was a small level of stairs leading to a wide platform where a throne stood and where Noli sat. In his hands The Void Star flickered like it was speaking to Noli and he was listening to it even with no words exchanged.

To Elliot's surprise Noli also looked different. New robes, the crown that floated above his head was now a purple gray hue and the most noticeable thing about him, his tragedy white mask was gone. In it's place a half purple mask sat there with a smiling expression. A comedy mask? Elliot assumed since the last one was a tragedy mask. Though it confused him only more. He wore the tragedy mask from well being a tragedy to Robloxia. Why only now switch to a comedy mask?

Glancing back at the priest they walked away from Elliot with their chin up high as they took their spot next to Noli's side just like always. Noli's attention shift from the star to the priest and then right at Elliot. His eyes could of been playing some really bad trick on him but the smile on mask almost seemed to widen ever so slightly when he turned to look at him. No. He was definitely just being a little insane.

Elliot walked over to the stairs holding up the container to show he did in fact come with a offering, not forgetting his promise to the demi-god. He wasn't exactly sure if he was allowed to walk up the stairs or just wait at the bottom but that was soon answered as The Void Star quickly floated behind him making him move forward until he was in front of Noli. Noli's smile only widened at Elliot's arrival and the offering in hand.

“If it isn't my spared sacrifice! Enjoying the new temple?”

Noli's masked moved as he spoke like the masks mouth was actually his. It took Elliot by surprise unable to answer right away at the sudden new… vessel? Noli gave himself.

“It's… different, why the sudden change?”

“Oh you can't expect me to keep everything the same for centuries! You expect me not to get bored with the same cycle of things over and over and over again?”

Well before Noli was sealed away he did have a constant cycle of doing the same things for years. Honestly Elliot thought he would of enjoyed it seeing how long he had been doing it. Never ending destruction, chaos and offerings. Something a immortal being like him would of found joyful and worth existing over. This was the first time he had broke the same cycle of doing things for years… not that it was necessarily bad but new.

“Kind of…?”

“Wow! I'm offended!!!”

Noli gasped dramatically putting a hand to his chest. The masked moved making a frown out of the mouth hole. So it wasn't a comedy mask. It just… Moved? However Noli wanted it to move? That gave Noli was more chances of actually expressing anything rather then the constant frowning that made others unsure if they were doing something wrong or not. It was less horrifying to say a single word and be meet with the same upset expression. At least this sort of eased his nerves… not really since he's still a demi-god and all..

A scoff came from right next to Noli that caught both Elliot’s and Noli’s attention. The priest glared at Elliot, their gaze sharp as ever as they spoke.

“Disrespect towards our lord is strictly prohibited.”

“Oh, um… well it wasn’t meant to be of any disrespect-”

“Even if it wasn’t intendant the rule still stands. I knew we should of sacrificed you from the beginning.”

The priests words spat out like poison. Elliot didn’t reply to his words any further. He would rather not have any more problems then he was already having. Glancing over at Noli his gaze lingered on the priest. The expression on the mask was clear in thought. It lasted for a few moments before it changed into a cheery one once more.

“Why you’re absolutely right!”

Elliot felt his heart drop at that sentence watching Noli sat up from his throne. Noli gave a small pat on the priests shoulder to which seemed to spark joy in the priest to gain any type of physical touch from their god. Noli’s hand dropped from the priests shoulder, The Void Star appeared right by Noli’s side and started flicker the white glow around it as Noli stepped close towards Elliot. In a act of a instinct Elliot stepped back causing him to almost lose his balance from stepping right by the edge of one of the steps of the staircase. Right before he could lose his balance he felt someone grab the collar of his jacket before everything blurred into a flash of white light. The light pained Elliot making him quickly cover his eyes to block it out. The white light vanished as quick as it appeared and right after he finally fell.

Not meeting the harsh marble floor covered by a rug but instead oddly a less harsher ground. It almost felt like leaves were tickling his face, as well as the feeling of cold air suddenly clouding his senses. Rubbing his eyes Elliot tried to calm his vision back to normal until his eyes opened to stare at the Moon high up in the sky. He was outside… why though? Elliot quickly sat up from the ground as he heard that familiar chuckle he’s come to fear.. kind of… Noli stood next to him, one hand covering some part of the masks mouth as he chuckled at him.

“Are you just gonna lay on the ground all night?”

“… Why are we out here?”

Elliot didn’t get up from the ground just yet as he took a good look at his surrounding. At first he worried that Noli sent him to gods know where but the moment he spotted that purple and black temple from afar he sighed in relief. He wasn’t taken too far, if something were to happen at least he would be able to make his way back to his motor bike.

“Well it gets awfully boring being in the same place for weeks now. These people don’t even want to allow me out- and I’m their god for crying out loud!!”

That did come out as a surprise. Elliot was surprised he even cared to listen to whatever his followers had to say about him appearing outside of the temple but in some way he did understand why the cult was doing it. Gods knows what would happen if the Admins got a hold of the information of Noli being out of his imprisonment. No doubt another fight would happen between them. Still that barely explained why exactly Noli decided to bring him out here. Was he not just praising his priest for suggesting that he should of been sacrificed at the beginning. Noli stared out at the far away temple before his gaze fell right back to Elliot.

“What?”

“Why did you bring me out here. Weren’t you just praising your priest for suggest that I should of been killed?”

“Oh you take my words just too seriously”

Noli snapped his fingers making a picnic blanket appear in thin air before it fell on the grass nearly like it was messed with until perfection to lay on. Noli sat down on the blanket, gesturing Elliot to do the same. The container full of the Swiss rolls Elliot made glitched into disappearing from Elliot’s side before appearing in the middle of the blanket.

“I didn’t feel like dealing with a bratty priest so I lied that their idea were just oh so great before teleporting us away. Though I’m still gonna have to deal with them when I get back. You would think they would be less of a pain in the ass towards their own god!”

Elliot moved from the grass to on top the blanket just as Noli gestured him to do while listening to Noli complain about his cultists. He didn’t say anything back letting Noli rant about them for a bit before his attention was pulled to the sudden appearance of two tea cups in the air as well as a kettle right after. The kettle moved on its own pouring some type of liquid into the two tea cups before floating down to settle on the blanket. One of the tea cups floated into Noli’s hand while the other into Elliot’s. Elliot stared at the liquid in the tea cup questioning if it was safe to drink or another delusion by Noli. Noli seemed to had noticed Elliot’s lost thought into staring at the liquid in the tea cup middle of his ranting and paused for just a moment.

“… You know it ain’t gonna kill you to drink it.”

“What’s in here…”

“Pea tea.”

Elliot stared at the brightly blue hue of tea in the tea cup for a couple of minutes in silence questioning if he was willing to risk his own stomach and mentality if this turned out to be some sort of trick. After mentally preparing himself as well as Noli seemed to grow impatient with waiting he drank the tea and waited for something bad to happen. Nothing bad ever came. The tea tasted like how normally a Pea tea would taste and it didn’t turn into anything horrible like he imagined.

“… I honestly thought you were gonna turn the tea into bugs or something”

“Don’t give me free ideas”

Noli’s smile on the mask widened at Elliot’s words before he took a sip of his own tea. Placing the cup down a plate and fork appeared in front of him, he took the fork in on of his hands before getting one of the Swiss rolls out of the container they were in plopping it on to his plate.

“Guess I’m just not in the mood to make you break your own sanity with my delusions”

Right after saying that he took a bite on the Swiss roll piece on his plate seeming to ever so slightly glow in satisfaction of the taste. Thank god. But Noli’s words grabbed Elliot’s attention. Propping a elbow on his knee as he sat cross legged, he rested his cheek on the palm of his hand.

“I thought immortal beings couldn’t get tired”

“I wish we couldn’t! Do you know how great that would of been? But noo I have to deal with annoying cultists all day long that just CAN’T listen to my orders when I tell them to do something”

While Noli’s annoyance was clear as the night sky it ever so slightly piped down each time he took a bite of the pastry. That’s good, he really wasn’t lying about sweets being his favorite type of food. Elliot nodded along with Noli’s words to show signs of listening to his ranting and to continue talking while Noli went on.

“How hard is it to follow a simple order of no one will be allowed immortality any more! They keep getting to confident and cocky with that damn ability”

Gift of immortality. Elliot thought back on the first day the two meet. The memory of Noli muttering about something about the gift of immortality as the priest was dragged away to get help for his obliterated hand. They wouldn’t think Noli would give his entire cult that ability seeing how he didn’t have the biggest care of if they got into horrible trouble or not. It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to assume Noli was talking about the priest. Elliot took another sip of his cup of tea continuing to listen to Noli’s rant before he chimed in the conversation.

“… The priest?…”

“Don’t you have a great memory”

Noli’s mask shifted once again to smile at him. He does show how much he enjoys when people actually pay attention to his words… To be fair he wasn’t really paying attention at the time more like out of panic remembered the few words he heard through his panic attack… Not that Noli has to know.. he is fine with sometimes not knowing the complete truth.

Noli sighed deeply as he continued his rant, swirling his cup around as well as moving his arms around each time he spoke. It honestly was a surprise how up to now he hasn’t spilled a droop of his tea. Each time a droplet of the tea flew out it still managed to fall right into the cup.

“It’s a pain in the ass really! I mean first they boss other members around barely doing any work them self, Then they use my gift like a god damn jump rope and now they went to keep ME. ME their GOD locked up in that damn temple?! Have they forgotten who I am?? What chaos can I possibly cause staying just insane the temple?!”

The tea inside Noli’s tea cup jumped high in the air before dropping right down completely into the tea cup. By now Elliot is considering he’s using some type of cheat code or something to keep that tea inside his cup. Elliot couldn’t help but smile when Noli mentioned about being grounded by his own cult to stay inside the temple instead of being allowed to go out and cause havoc. In some way it reminded him of how his father would ground him and his sister taking away their privilege to go out and hang out with friends if they got in trouble.

“I remember the last time my father made me stay in the house the whole day from getting a speeding ticket while running late on a delivery. By pure luck my sister was grounded too for… Honestly I don’t know why she just mumbled something when I asked… We spent the whole day doing sleep over activities to keep ourself from being bored inside the house. We made ourself junk food, painted each others nails and watched drag race until dinner.”

Elliot smiled to himself at the memory of spending quality time with his sister. He got so lost in his memory he didn’t even notice how quiet Noli went. Nor the fact that he slipped up that he still has a family. Possibly the worse thing he could tell a god that was supposed to have him served on a plater without a second thought. The realization of his mistake slowly came to him as he froze up. Slowly turning his head to look at Noli expecting to see a malicious expression or some threatening words… only to be meet with Noli quietly eating another Swiss roll. He didn’t seem to think much of his slip up, more like he was intently listening to Elliot’s story… Well that wasn’t what he was exactly expecting… Maybe he didn’t notice? Well good. He didn’t want the cult to go after his family too. He coughed for a moment trying to make it seem like the pause was on purpose.

“But I get why your cult doesn’t want you to go out… At least for now because you know… you kind of… are a demi-god of destruction that’s been terrorizing all of Robloxia for centuries and was sealed off for years… And now you’re broken out of the seal… it’s best to lay low so the Admins won’t go after you automatically… Going in person with well how you usually look even now they might recognize you as well… you”

Why was he giving him advice?! Elliot he’s going to cause destruction to all of Robloxia!! Elliot slapped himself mentally as he watched Noli reaction to his words. Picking at the Swiss roll, Noli seemed to be deep in thought about his words. Elliot sweated just for a moment looking away feeling awkward about the silence he wanted to speak before he was cut off. The fork that held a piece of the Swiss Roll was randomly placed in his mouth. The Swiss roll tasted heavenly.. Man he was going to be hungry once he got home.. Noli seemed to be glowing with glee at Elliot’s words.

“Why haven’t I thought of that before! I knew you would come in use!”

No words were exchanged left before suddenly in a blink of a eye the two were back outside the temple. Elliot looked around confused but not completely shocked at Noli’s sudden change of environment. He had a suspicion feeling that he was going to have to get used to this as well. Getting off the ground he dusted himself off, looking over at Noli he still seemed to be shining in glee almost not completely on earth from how much he was in his own world.

“I’m going to have to cut this meeting short! I have very important things to attend to, I’m sure your mortal mind needs sleep anyways. See you next week Elliot!”

Noli waved Elliot goodbye almost immediately disappearing out of his sight before Elliot could even ask him how he knew his name. Another cold feeling rushed through his body. Shaking his head he went back to his motor bike to drive back home. Noli was right. It was late he needed to sleep so he wouldn’t pass out while working next morning… Ugh he wished he could just call in sick he could feeling the early morning drowsiness already. Starting up the motor bike he was going to drive off until the sound of rattling in the box that sat on the back of the motor bike… Opening the box to his surprise the container containing a few of the Swiss rolls left sat inside with a note on top of it that just wrote “enjoy”… Well at least he wasn’t going to go home hungry the whole night…

Still… What could he possibly suddenly need to do after giving him that advice… hm…
