Work Text:

“Do you have presentiments about me…” Tess recited with shaken voice. “I… I know what it is like to wonder if the person you have crush on feels the same.”

Alea looked down, her cheeks red as a rose:

“You feel really stupid sometimes, don’t you?” She dared to ask.

“Yes…” Tess put the notebook aside. Her hand was shaking. “I… I have never imagined, you also…”

Alea frowned and looked up:

“You believed I don’t know what it is to be yearning? Of course, I know! My yearning is so deep, but I’ve never told you, have I?” She never had talked about her feelings with her. But now. With the song. Maybe it was the time. “Because of me being a sea girl, our relationship became weird, but I don’t want to hide my feelings.”

“I can’t believe it…” Tess mumbled. “Is everything from the song true?”

Alea nodded quickly. Tess looked like she was about to cry. The sea girl hugged her. Her friend melted in the hug but then pulled away:

“I never would’ve thought…” She stuttered and, in her eyes, shined tears. “I am so happy. I am surprised and happy.” She let a hoarse laugh. “I’m so joyful!”

Alea smiled. Tess went closer and looked at her with shining eyes. Then she kissed her. Her lips caressed Alea’s. On her face there was a smile. The sea girl hugged her.

“Oh, my fucking god!” Lennox sighed and they quickly got away from each other. “Is everyone on this ship gay?”
