Episode 2: Logged And Loaded (Alternate Ending)

The Purple Team is walking back from their humiliating first challenge loss, knowing that one of them is going home tonight. Tension fills the air, no one feeling fully safe. Let's set the stage. Will and Fiore were supposed to slide last on the hill to collect flags for the team. Because of his cowardice, Will was too scared to slide down. This caused Fiore to snap, going on a tirade against Will, breaking her facade. Will vowed to expose her, though Fiore wasn't threatened, using her innocence as a six year old to frame it that Will yelled at her. No one knows what to believe as they make it back to camp.

"Fiore, admit that you're a liar!" Will yells. Alec sees Nick's annoyed expression, and he takes the opportunity to further paint Will in a bad light.

"Will, you're yelling at her right now. That is proving her point, I believe her." Alec takes Fiore's side. Fiore masks her joy, glad to see Alec is playing the way she wants.

Fiore decides to double down, forcing tears. "Can you please stop bullying me!? I didn't do anything to you. You're so mean!" she fake cries, causing Ashley, Ellie, and Nick to look sympathetic, especially Nick.

Confessional: Fiore

"I thought of the fact that a poor woman actually spent 9 months carrying such a useless person like Will… it made it very easy to fake cry. I would get a post birth abortion if I was his mom."

Conf end

"I can't believe you would yell at a kid like that! She did better than you did in the challenge too, we should vote you out." Nick glares at Will, prompting Lill and Ashley to tense up, not happy about their alliance members targeting each other.

"Woah, maybe we should calm down, things are getting heated." Ashley tries to intervene. Alec and Ellie turn to her with unimpressed looks.

"Why shouldn't it be Will who goes?" Alec questions.

"Yeah, he cost us the challenge, and is yelling at our team." Ellie adds, exchanging a smirk with Alec upon seeing Nick's glare directed at Will harden. Will looks shocked.

"How are you all believing her!? She attacked me, she's using her age as an act to manipulate all of you!" Will shouts.

"Back off of her, now. Your story makes no sense." Nick angrily speaks.

"Nick, you can't be falling for this!"

"I'm not falling for anything, because she's not lying!" Nick retorts.

Fiore's fake crying intensifies. "I would never lie, I'm only six!" she runs off with tears in her eyes. Will gets some dirty looks, causing him to look dejected.

Confessional: Will

"They… they aren't listening to me! I might get voted out first! My third cousin was the first person voted out of a show like this, and he committed suicide after being mocked for it!" Will randomly lore drops. "I've been scared of getting voted out first in something like this ever since. I need to do something to convince Nick that I'm innocent."

Conf end

Confessional: Fiore

"Easy work. Nice try, 'Won't.' But you aren't going to outsmart me any time ever." she cackles.

Conf end

Confessional: Ellie

"This couldn't have happened at a better time. I don't know if I can trust either side about what happened, but as long as it's not Alec or I going, I don't care."

Conf end

Confessional: Ashley

"Who do I believe? I really trust both of them! Will is a good guy, and Fiore is like a little sister to me." She seems torn.

Conf end

Confessional: Lill

"Something is off. Very off." Lill rubs her temples. "I don't think Fiore would slap Will like he said she did, but if Fiore did something, I wouldn't be shocked. She isn't like most kids I know, something is off about her. I need to find out what that is before it's too late!"

Conf end

We cut to a few hours later, where Nick and Ashley are talking in the forest. "Even if Will did do something, he is still a part of our alliance. Can't we vote Alec off? He hasn't said a word to me this whole time." Ashley begs, though Nick just shakes his head.

"Who cares if he's in our alliance? We could easily replace him with Fiore, and boot Alec and Ellie later." Nick retorts. Ashley doesn't have a response, allowing Nick to continue speaking. "Will seemed like a good chap, but you shouldn't talk to kids that way. I'd yell at any adult, but going against a six year old is too far."

"Maybe you're right… I guess I just want to believe he wouldn't do that. He seemed so nice." Ashley responds sheepishly. Nick scoffs.

"You're in your 20s, you should've realized how awful a lot of people are in this world by now. Do you only talk to the animals on your farm and ignore humans?"

"I have a social life with people, I'll have you know!" Ashley seems irritated.

"Oh!"

"Are you unironically shocked!?"

Nick coughs and looks away awkwardly. "Nope. But seriously, I see it all the time back home. People want to befriend me, but then it's only because I have things that they don't. Most people have ulterior motives." he rolls his eyes.

"I can't relate." Ashley is a poor flop.

"Huh, it's weird interacting with people who don't live in mansions." Nick notes out loud, causing Ashley to do a double take.

Confessional: Nick

"Ashley seems naive for this type of show, but she is nice and not too annoying other than her bloody accent being hard to understand. Once she realizes we need Fiore and not Will, we'll be set."

Conf end

We see Fiore back in the tent. She is writing something in her journal with a malicious grin. Once she's done, she closes the journal and puts it in her bag before leaving the tent, as she has business to attend to. The instant she's gone, Lill pops out from under a bush she's hiding in and goes through the bag, pulling out the notebook. She scurries away to read it without being caught.

"I hope this means Will is gone tonight." we hear Ellie say as she's conversing with Alec near the lake.

"The door of opportunity is a lovely thing, isn't it? A surefire 5-2 now has neither of our names on the chopping block." Alec smirks, though Ellie seems less confident.

"Let's not get cocky, the world has a way of turning things around on you." she advises, resulting in Alec grimacing.

"I suppose you're right…"

Before the duo can continue, Fiore walks up to them with a sad look on her face. "Hey."

"Hi." Ellie gives a small wave. "I'm sorry about what happened with Will earlier."

"Thanks, he was so mean to me… do you think you can vote for him? I'm scared of being around him another day." Fiore sniffles.

"Our votes are going towards him." Alec confirms with NPC talk. Fiore smiles.

"Thank you guys. You both seem really nice, way nicer than Will."

Confessional: Fiore

"I'm shocked those two aren't complete dumbasses. I know Nick is voting for Will, which means Will is history. Shouldn't have pissed me off, loser."

Conf end

While Fiore is having this confessional, Lill gathered Ashley, Nick, and Will together in the forest. "We need to talk." Lill says in a demanding tone. Nick rolls his eyes.

"What is there to talk about? Will proved he can't be trusted today, and he cost us the challenge." Nick leers.

"I told you it wasn't me!"

"And I told you that I don't believe you!"

"Nick, Will was telling the truth!" Lill interjects, causing Nick to look bewildered.

"What do you mean!? Are you-"

"Look." Lill interrupts him and shoves Fiore's diary in Nick's hands. "Go to page 54 and read it out loud."

"I don't know how. I've never opened a book myself before, I always got my butler to do it. Can someone do it for me?" Nick requests. Ashley rips the book out of his hand with annoyance and flips it to page 54.

Ashley looks shocked upon reading. "Golly, this handwriting is a bit hard to understand, but I get the jist of it." she clears her throat upon seeing Nick's expectant look and begins reading. "The stupid hillbilly with no brain, manchild who still lives with his parents, and the old hag who has more wrinkles than reasons to live are suspicious of Will. I needed to break up their alliance, good thing the most pathetic man in the world is on our team. I didn't do anything wrong anyways, he was slowing us down by being a pussy. He's dead meat, and the others will fall too. I can't wait to make them all my servants when I win this!"

Lill frowns, seeming offended by the harsh words. "Yeah, Will wasn't lying."

"I can't believe she would say those things… I thought she was a sweet kid." Ashley looks upset as Will speaks up.

"See, do you all believe me now?"

Nick seems conflicted. "How do we know that was really Fiore's writing and not Will framing her?" he asks. Will seems frustrated at the questioning, but Lill speaks first.

"I saw her writing in it myself. We need to take out Fiore, she's going to be a problem if we don't take care of her now. She's also going to be our biggest weakness when the challenges become more physical." Lill says. Nick looks slightly annoyed after hearing this.

Confessional: Will

"Nick is being so annoying, why does he trust Fiore so much!?"

Conf end

Confessional: Nick

"I'd trust Lill's word above the rest of the alliance, so I guess Will didn't frame Fiore." he taps his chin in thought. "But the fact is, Will did lose us the challenge. Even if Fiore yelled at him, it was probably deserved. If there is another challenge that requires bravery, Fiore is a bigger asset. Would it be worth betraying the alliance this early?"

He gives it more thought. "She may be braver, but she also called me a manchild! I am not a manchild, I'm a strong man who just hasn't done anything in his life by himself, that's all!" he rolls his eyes. "What to do, what to do…"

Conf end

Cut to campfire ceremony

"Welcome to the first elimination of the season!" Trevor announces. "You will write the name of the person you want voted out, and put it in the urn. The person with the most votes is eliminated. Get voting."

"All this fighting is just the opportunity I was looking for. I vote for Will." Alec holds his vote for… Will, obviously. What, did you think he actually voted for Ashley or something?

"Please go see a therapist for your many, many, many, many problems." Fiore laughs while voting for Will.

"You seemed sweet at first, but we're not going to have a rat on the team." Lill holds her vote for Fiore.

"Turns out I was right. You are the one going home." Will leers at the camera while holding his vote for Fiore.

We see Ellie, Ashley, and a hesitant Nick voting before cutting back to the campfire.

"If anyone has a hidden immunity totem and wants to use it, now would be the time to do so." Trevor says. No one speaks. "Alright, once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person with the most votes must leave the camp immediately. I'll read the votes."

"1st vote… Fiore."

Fiore looks sad.

"2nd vote… Fiore. That's 2 votes Fiore."

Fiore grimaces.

"3rd vote… Will."

Will looks annoyed.

"4th vote… Will. 2 votes Will, 2 votes Fiore."

Will shoots an annoyed glance at Fiore.

"5th vote… Will. 3 votes Will."

Will gulps.

"6th vote… Fiore. That's 3 votes Fiore, 3 votes Will, 1 vote left."

Fiore looks slightly alarmed upon seeing this vote. Everyone except for Nick looks nervous, seeing that his vote hasn't been read.

"1st person voted out of Disventure Camp…"

"Fiore! That's 4 votes, it's time for you to go!"

Fiore screams in anger and shock as Alec and Ellie look dejected. "What the fuck is wrong with you assholes!?" she screeches, causing Ellie to gasp, not expecting this tirade. "Will literally cost us the challenge, why are you voting me out!?"

"At least he's not fake and insulting us behind our backs!" Ashley retorts, causing WIll to smile.

"You deserve to be talked about behind your back, you stupid fucking illiterate hillbilly! Your accent is annoying as hell!" Fiore shouts.

"You say as if your voice isn't shattering glass right now." Nick covers his ears with annoyance, suddenly feeling happy about his vote.

"How did you even find out!?"

"Lill found your diary." Ashley says, causing Alec and Ellie to give her skeptical looks.

"You went through my bags!? Lill, I hope your kids in your troop stone you!" Fiore growls. Lill doesn't dignify her with a response as Fiore turns to Alec and Ellie.

"You two are the only ones with brains, you better eliminate those four idiots!" Fiore instructs.

"Sorry, Fiore." Alec says in a disappointed tone.

"Fiore, it's time for you to go." Derek gestures for the demon child to leave. Fiore angrily storms off.

Confessional: Alec

"Well… we're fucked." Alec looks nervous. "Didn't think Lill of all people would be the type to snoop through people's things, I'll have to keep an eye on her."

Conf end

Confessional: Lill

"I'm proud of myself for not letting her take over the team! I just hope nothing is seriously wrong at home to have made her behave this way." she says with a worried expression before going into game mode. "But now our alliance is secure, hopefully there won't be more drama." She has way too much optimism.

Conf end

Confessional: Nick

"I chose to take out Fiore, but it was a tough choice. I decided that since both suck, I might as well keep the guy I'm working with. But if Will messes up again, he's done."

Conf end

Notes:

And that's it for the first episode of Alternate Reality Season 1!

Fiore- Again, she gets the axe first. I promise I like her, people! She just gets unlucky with how this concept works lmao. She got some sassy one liners, but it's not a ton compared to canon obviously. I'll write a story where she slays the boots house down eventually.

Remaining Players:

Teal- Tom, Jake, Dan, Drew, Miriam, Gabby, Grett

Purple- Will, Nick, Alec, Lill, Ashley, Ellie

Questions:

1. Favorite part of the episode?

2. Thoughts on our eliminated player? (this question means basically nothing for this specific chapter, but I'll use it for future ones so might as well ask now lmao)

3. Who do you think is going home next?

4. Any general predictions for how this season will go?

Elimination Order:

14th- Fiore- Purple- 4-3

Chapter 2: Episode 3: Mazed And Confused

Chapter Text

Episode 3: Mazed And Confused

Intro

Cut to Teal Team

We see Gabby waking up. Grett and Miriam are sleeping next to her, Grett snoring loudly. She looks around and notices none of the other guys. She heard the previous night that Tom and Jake would get up early to go fishing, so that would explain their absence. She isn't sure about Drew and Dan, not that she's too concerned with them as one ginger haired woman floods her mind.

Ellie. She could go see Ellie right now, and if she's lucky, no one would know a thing. It's too early, and she knows Grett and Miriam love their sleep. She assumes Miriam just hates life too much to be awake for long with how cranky she is about everything. And the last time she tried to wake Grett up early, she got yelled at for interrupting her 'beauty sleep'.

"Now, go find Ellie." she thinks. But a conflicting thought hits her. "But if Grett finds out, she's going to be mad."

She doesn't think Grett would wake up soon, but that doesn't mean nothing could go wrong. "Who cares what that fat girl thinks? Go, now."

Feeling that sudden burst of determination, she runs off.

Cut to Purple Team

Alec and Ellie are searching for the totem together. So far, neither have had much luck.

"Being left out of the vote is so frustrating." Alec says with an annoyed edge to his voice. "Their stupid alliance keeping the person who lost the challenge…"

"I know, right? We're stuck in the minority… for what exactly? How are we worse than Will?" Ellie questions while sticking her hand in a bush. "Also, I'm so confused. The way Fiore reacted to being eliminated was so shocking. Whatever, I hope we bounce back from this."

"Same. With a million dollars on the line, I'm not going to give up without a fight." Alec vows.

"Me neither. Not to sound pathetic or needy, but out of everyone here, I probably need the money the most." Ellie responds, piquing Alec's interest.

"Why's that?" he asks.

"I'm enrolled in college for fashion design, but since I didn't get a scholarship, I have to pay back all the fees. My family is lower middle class at best, so my parents weren't able to provide me with much financial aid. I have to juggle two jobs and my studies to stay afloat." Ellie casually states, having told this story plenty of times in the past few months.

"Sorry to hear that. But does having a strong drive to win mean that you aren't afraid to play a little dirty?" Alec doesn't know what else to say, not wanting to bring up his own motivations, so he becomes a gamebot.

Ellie raises an eyebrow. "What are you insinuating?"

"We're on the bottom. To survive, we're going to have to use whatever cracks in the others' relations there are and exploit them. It's clear Nick doesn't like Will, so let's start there." Alec plots.

"We could try getting on his good side. But that'd still only give us half the votes." Ellie is worried about a tie.

"Still better than a 4-2, correct? Besides, the game is still in early stages. I'm not the most social guy, but I know you need to form bonds to win this game." Alec clocks himself. "Talk to whoever you can. Will, Ashley, whoever it may be, and get to know them. Try to seem actually interested in what they have to say."

"Are you implying that you didn't give a fuck when I was ranting about needing the money?" Ellie narrows her eyes.

"Uh, of course I did! Poor choice of words." Alec laughs it off nervously, having actually cared about her rant and regretting his later wording. "I think this will be the start of a great partnership."

"Agreed." Ellie nods. Suddenly, she feels an object from inside the bush and gasps in excitement. She pulls it out, and ends up being… a rock.

"Still no totem?" Alec frowns.

"Nope." Ellie throws the rock away with frustration.

Confessional: Alec

"Ellie and I have our work cut out for us if we want to survive. Good thing Will is a scaredy cat, and Nick is smart enough to realize that's a liability. The only issue will be convincing one of Ashley or Lill to turn against him as well."

Conf end

Confessional: Ellie

"Am I worried about being in the minority? Yes, but I have hope. And if Alec and I aren't able to break through to the others, I have a feeling they'd vote him out over me. He said it himself, he's not a social guy."

Conf end

Having split up to cover more ground for totem searching, Ellie is now alone. She isn't alone for long though, as Gabby appears from behind a tree.

"Hi Ellie!" Gabby loudly exclaims, startling Ellie.

"Oh, Gabby! Whew, you scared me. What are you doing here?" Ellie questions.

"I wanted to see you!" Gabby admits with a slight blush. "How are you doing?"

"Could be better, I was left out of the last vote. The plan was to vote for Will, but the majority decided to boot Fiore instead." Ellie reveals, causing Gabby to frown.

"That's terrible! Do you think you may be voted out next if your team loses again?" Gabby questions with worry.

"It's possible." Ellie admits. This prompts Gabby to pull the immunity totem out of her pocket. "Woah! Is that-"

"The totem? Yup! And if you think you may need it, just let me know during a challenge and I'll hand it over." she offers.

"Gabby, that's so sweet of you! Thank you so much!" Ellie gratefully responds.

"Of course! Now, I better head back to my team's camp before people notice I'm gone, hehe…"

Gabby runs off, leaving Ellie alone and feeling much better than she did before.

Confessional: Ellie

"Gabby is so caring. We only spoke for a few hours, yet she's so sweet about our time together. I wish I could repay her as a thanks for her kindness."

Conf end

Back at camp is the majority alliance. Will, Ashley, and Lill are watching Nick try to start a fire. Sadly for him, he has no luck, as all his attempts are failing. "How many times do I have to strike the flint before a damn fire breaks out!" Nick complains.

"Have you made a fire before?" Will asks.

"No." Nick shakes his head.

"I hope when you get it started, it's controlled. I'm scared of forest fires." Will worries. Nick looks slightly annoyed at the random freak out, but doesn't comment, as he's still concentrating.

"Don't worry, I don't think we'll have to worry about a forest fire out here." Ashley assures as if she's not the person with the most experience starting uncontrolled fires that cause destruction.

After another minute, Nick throws the flint on the ground. "Bloody hell, I can't do it!" He looks disappointed in himself. Lill puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, there's still plenty of time to learn. I can help teach you some things out here, if you'd like." Lill offers with a warm smile. Nick returns it.

"Thanks… I'd like that. I clearly have a lot to learn." Nick sighs before backing away from the fire, sitting on a log next to Lill.

Will speaks up. "Uh, I want to thank you guys for not voting me out. Fiore nearly got me eliminated."

"Of course, we have an alliance." Ashley smiles.

"No problem." Lill adds to the positive atmosphere, though Nick has other thoughts.

"You're welcome and all, but I'm going to be honest with you. You're still the reason we lost that challenge, you were too scared to properly participate. You slowed us down. If you do well in the future challenges and don't freak out, I'll stay loyal, but if not, I'd be willing to vote you out. We can't have you cost us everything because you're scared." Nick is blunt, causing Will to look nervous.

"But we're allies! Ashley, Lill, would-"

"I'm sorry, Will, but I do see Nick's point." Lill admits. "I don't want to vote for you right now, we're allies after all, but if you cost us more challenges… it'd be a tough sell to keep you around."

Will frowns as Ashley speaks up. "I won't vote for Will no matter what, but I get what you two mean." she says.

"It's nothing personal." Nick shrugs. "I'm sorry for believing Fiore so easily, by the way. Stupid child tricked me!"

"She must not be that stupid then." Lill quips.

"Ouch." Nick rubs his arm. "But I was wrong about her, so my only issue with you now is costing us the challenge. You're not some child bully."

"Oh…" Will seems taken aback before smiling. "Thanks for the apology, I appreciate it." the men shake hands.

Confessional: Ashley

"I have to put my bias aside. No team wants to lose every challenge! I get why Lill and Nick have the mindset they do. I just hope Will doesn't mess up, he's a nice guy."

Conf end

Confessional: Will

"I could be mad at them for talking about voting me out… but they're 100% right. I'm still annoyed about how Fiore tried to frame me as an evil person, but she was right that I slowed us down. I can't do that anymore." Will says before burying his head in his hands. "I want to make progress, I really do. I don't want to be afraid of everything anymore. I need to improve, I'll try my best. I just know it's going to be hard since I have so many issues…"

Conf end

Cut to Teal Team

We see Dan sitting in camp alone. He isn't alone for long though, as Gabby walks in, back from her visit to Ellie. "Gabby?" Dan calls out to her, causing Gabby to flinch. "Where were you? I haven't seen you all morning." he inquires.

Gabby hesitates, not wanting to mention Ellie. "I… I was fishing! Yeah, I went fishing!" she lies, which Dan calls out.

"I thought Jake and Tom went fishing. They took all the gear." he points out. Gabby has an awkward look after the call out.

With her lie exposed, Gabby sighs and decides to tell the truth. "Fine, I went to go see Ellie. Please don't tell anyone, especially Grett. I know she'd get mad, and I only did it because I woke up early enough to go." she pleads.

"Don't worry, I'm not a snitch. Your secret is safe with me, I have no desire to talk to Grett anyways." Dan assures. Gabby pulls him into a hug.

"Thank you! You're the best!" Gabby thanks before walking off. Once she's gone, Drew exits the tent without his notebook.

"Hey, Drew." Dan greets. Drew makes a writing motion with his hand, then shrugs. Dan looks concerned. "Is your notebook missing?"

Drew sadly nods. "I'm sorry, I haven't seen it. If I find it, I'll tell you."

We see Miriam picking some berries in the forest. Gabby walks up to her with a smile. "Hey, Miriam! Are you picking some berries?" she asks in a cheerful tone.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" Miriam sarcastically questions. "I want to do this alone. Your voice is high pitched and annoying."

Gabby's eye twitches. "Excuse me? Talk to me like that again, and I'll…" she takes a deep breath before she can tell Miriam that she'll do something overdue and put her old ass in the grave. "Nevermind, do what you want." she storms off.

Confessional: Gabby

"Dan is a breath of fresh air compared to how everyone else on this team is."

Conf end

Confessional: Miriam

"I don't have to like someone to work with them. She gets on my nerves so badly."

Conf end

We see Jake and Tom in a boat fishing together. Jake decides to make conversation. "You know, it seems like you're good at everything around camp. We'd be a lot messier without you." Jake praises. Not used to compliments, Tom seems taken aback.

"Oh… thanks!" he hastily responds.

"That survival show you watched must've been really helpful, huh?"

"It sure was." Tom pretends. "No offense, but I didn't think you'd be much of a fisher. But you seem to know a lot."

"Yeah, I know I don't look like that type of a person who knows much about survival." Jake chuckles. "But it was one of the few things I bonded with my dad about as a kid. He would always get mad that I wasn't into all these 'manly' activities or whatever he considers manly. But I always liked fishing, and he took it as a win. It's calming, and I like the time it gives me to think about my life."

"Fair. I'm kind of the opposite… I don't really like dwelling on my life." Tom awkwardly responds. Before Jake can inquire, Tom decides to ask a question. "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Not minding the topic change, Jake speaks. "I already told you about my grandmother, but I know she's been wanting me to get out more before she got ill. I've had some problems in the past few years that kind of killed my motivation to socialize, but I want to make some friends again and not let the past hold me back!" he explains.

"Well, it's good you got accepted then. Making connections isn't the worst idea." he mutters out the last sentence.

"Why did you sign up? You don't really say a lot about yourself, so the reason could be anything." Jake questions.

"Uh… money. You know how it is." Tom replies.

"A million dollars would sure be nice. Why is everything so expensive nowadays?" Jake asks, causing Tom to laugh.

"I know, right? It feels like every week I go to the store, something I usually buy gets more expensive. It's so annoying." he relates.

"That strawberry ice cream I used to eat when I was sad says hi." Jake laughs.

"I didn't know anyone else had strawberry as their favorite flavor, everyone I work with likes chocolate."

"Meh, they're basic bitches anyways." Jake lightheartedly replies, both men feeling relaxed now. Before the conversation can continue, Jake feels something on his pole. It's not Tom, it's a fish! "Something's biting!"

Jake struggles momentarily, the fish being bigger than he expected. Noticing the struggle, Tom sets his pole down and helps Jake. With the combined effort, they manage to catch the fish. "We did it!" Tom cheers, and the duo exchange a high five.

"Thanks, Tom! Let's get this back to Miriam."

Confessional: Tom

"I'm not the most social person at camp, I know that. But I'm trying to make an effort. It's just been a while since I've been a social person. I'm glad Jake can lead a conversation, I feel the best about him out of anyone here."

Conf end

Confessional: Jake

"Tom seems really nice! It's fun to fish with him. It helps that he's like… really fucking hot. Seeing him in that bodysuit makes me want to… why am I saying this out loud?" Jake facepalms, realizing how horny he's being. "I don't even want a relationship right now, so why do I simp for guys so easily? Well, at least he's actually gay, and not straight like most of the guys I find hot, so it's less awkward."

Conf end

Cut to Purple Team

Ashley and Will are taking a walk in the forest together. Will has a worried look on his face.

"Ashley, I'm scared." When are you not, Will?

"Nick and Lill?" Ashley asks.

"Mhm. I know they're right, I'll be a liability in challenges if I can't get over my fears." Will rubs his arm, but stops when Ashley puts her hand on it.

"I can help you improve." Ashley offers. "You won't be an early boot on my watch!"

Will smiles. "Thanks, Ashley. I appreciate it."

"Don't mention it! I'm basically fearless, living on a farm and all. I've been through it all!" Ashley boasts. "I'm already starting to miss my life back home, but camping out in the woods ain't so bad."

"At least camping is more up your alley. I'm a city boy. Well, at least I was for the second half of my life. When I was younger, I lived in a small suburban town. The city is much better." Will says proudly, though Ashley doesn't seem convinced.

"The city, huh? That explains a lot." Ashley says.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Will questions, a slight edge to his voice.

"It's nothing bad! You just remind me a lot of one of my friends, Toni. She also lives in the city, and has a lot of the same fears as you."

"No wonder you can tolerate me." Will chuckles.

"I can think of a few other reasons." Ashley winks, causing Will's smile to grow. This smile quickly morphs into a look of horror as Will spots a snake slithering towards him and Ashley.

"SNAKE!" Will shouts, running in the opposite direction. Ashley sighs, following him.

"That was a corn snake, they're harmless!" Ashley informs.

Confessional: Will

"Ugh… I have a long way to go." Will groans.

Conf end

Cut to Teal Team

We see Miriam cooking some of the fish over the fire. Jake walks up to her with a warm smile, though Miriam doesn't reciprocate. "What do you want!?" she snaps, causing Jake to flinch.

"I just wanted to ask if you needed help. I know how to-"

"I don't care what you know! Are you implying I can't do this myself?" Miriam sternly questions.

Jake looks nervous. "Of course not! I just-"

"Leave me alone and let me finish this in peace, I don't need to hear you run your mouth!"

Jake frowns. "Sorry…"

Suddenly, they hear an announcement on the intercom. "Campers, stop what you're doing! It's challenge time!"

Cut to challenge

We see everyone outside of a maze. "It's time for your second challenge! Before we start, as you can all see, Fiore was voted out at the first elimination." Trevor points to the Purple Team. The Teal Team doesn't seem to care.

"Not shocked. We voted out that dead weight for a reason." Grett doesn't seem bothered.

"Anyways, this challenge is going to be about facing your fears!" Trevor exclaims.

"We did some research on each of you, and let's just say, we found some interesting things." Derek laughs, always finding enjoyment in the suffering of others. Trevor ignores his slight discomfort to continue.

"You will go through the maze behind us, and on your journey, you will encounter several doors that are accompanied by a picture of one of your teammates. In order to continue, the teammate must accept facing their fears by going through the door inside. When the challenge is completed, you can continue." Trevor explains.

"But if you don't want to face your fear? That's perfectly acceptable, the only caveat is a 30 minute penalty which will surely slow your team down and make them upset." Derek laughs. "The first team to reach the other side wins immunity and reward. Since you love being so nice, Trevor, why don't you explain the reward?"

"I will." Trevor beams. "You will get an extra waterproof camping tent. The rain can start here at any time, so it will be helpful. I'm not hearing any question, so I-"

"You didn't ask if we had any-"

"Dan, no one cares." Derek cuts him off before Trevor throws one map at Tom, and another at Lill. "Those are your maps to find the doors. Get going!"

Both teams run into the maze… because of course they do. We see the Purple Team reach their challenge first, which has Ashley. "Look like you're up first. You got this, Ashley!" Lill encourages as a Scottish voice begins speaking.

"Fear of fires. You must spend 15 minutes in a burning barn while wearing a fire suit!"

"Oh…" Ashley gulps as bad memories begin flooding back, though Will is quick to encourage her.

"You'll be wearing a suit, Ashley. I know you can do this! The fire won't hurt you." he gives an assuring smile. Ashley takes a deep breath.

"We're already down in numbers, I ain't losing again!" Ashley looks determined as she accepts the challenge.

Confessional: Ashley

"I wasn't always afraid of fires. A few years ago, a big fire burned on my family's farm. It took out half the animals, our house, and the crops! We still haven't fully recovered since… but mama didn't raise a quitter! I'm going to win this game!" she says with fire. Hopefully this fire doesn't burn her farm again.

Conf end

We cut to the Teal Team, who has Jake as the first one up. "Fear of cemeteries… you must step into the cemetery for fifteen minutes!"

"What?" Jake recoils at the requests.

"It should be fine, Jake." Dan taps his foot impatiently.

"I'm sorry, I can't." Jake frowns, hitting the X to decline doing the challenge. The team looks irritated except for Tom.

We see Ashley standing in the fire. You could see her shaking, though she is getting some encouraging words from Lill and Will. "You're doing great, Ashley!" Will cheers.

"You'll be out of there in no time, keep going!" Lill adds. As they do this, Alec walks up to Nick, wanting to work on his social game.

"Hello."

Nick turns around. "Hi."

Awkward silence. "How have you been?"

"Good, I voted correctly last time, and I don't feel like I'm going home." Nick replies, unaware of Alec's annoyance.

Confessional: Alec

"Thanks, Nick." he rolls his eyes at the unintentional taunt on Nick's part.

Conf end

More awkward silence. "What do you like to do for fun?" Alec asks.

"I like drinking expensive wine, shopping for Burberry clothes…" Nick begins listing a bunch of expensive activities, causing Alec to look slightly annoyed, coming from a different walk of life. After about two minutes, Nick finally finishes.

"That sounds great." Alec forces out interest.

"It is." Nick smirks. "What about you? What do you enjoy?"

"I like reading a good nonfiction novel while listening to classical Beethoven music on my cassette player." Alec responds.

"Beethoven? Cassette player? Who still uses those?" Nick looks confused.

"I know it's not popular nowadays with all the new technology, but I'd consider myself retro." Alec explains. Nick resists rolling his eyes.

"I'm not a huge fan of reading things myself. Is there anything else you like to do?"

"Hm… I suppose I enjoy doing my taxes." Alec replies.

"Bruh-"

"I'm done!" Ashley cheers as she steps out of the burning barn. "Let's go!"

Confessional: Nick

Nick fakes snores. "That man is so bloody boring! Taxes!? The worst part is, I could tell he did not care about what I liked to do!"

Conf end

Confessional: Alec

"I doubt that went super well. It's hard to pretend to be interested in the most snobby prick in the game."

Conf end

Tom watches Jake, who is sitting on the ground with a guilty and sad look. Feeling bad for him, he sits down next to him. "Hey, are you okay?" he asks while putting on a hand on Jake's shoulder.

"Not really." Jake shakes his head. "I feel bad for letting the team down, but it's just… it hits too close to home."

"May I ask why?" Tom inquires. Remembering Tom's offer that he can always talk to him, Jake takes this opportunity.

"After my grandpa died, my mom would always take me with her to leave flowers. And now with my grandma's health, I know it's only a matter of time before…" Jake's voice becomes shaky as the morbid thought is made perfectly clear. Tom takes a moment to respond, knowing that trying to assure Jake about his grandma wouldn't do much good.

"Um… do you want a hug?" Tom somewhat awkwardly offers. Jake nods, and Tom wraps his arms around Jake, causing the former to look slightly less sad as the penalty ends.

"Come on!" Dan rushes the team to continue while shooting Jake a somewhat annoyed glance. Tom breaks the hug and stands up. He offers Jake his hand, which the latter accepts.

"Thank you." Jake thanks (duh) before the duo run off to catch up to the rest of the team.

The Purple Team runs up to their next challenge, Alec being the one who has to do it. "Fear of being bald… you must get your head shaved!"

Alec gasps upon hearing the request. He looks around and sees Nick's expectant look, but he hesitates before clicking a button.

Confessional: Alec

Alec groans for 8.59 seconds. "Fuck! I shouldn't have ever made it clear how much I care for my hair. Without it I think I would look…" he looks at the camera and realizes he doesn't want to talk about any possible insecurities to a television audience. "Whatever. I really don't want to shave my head, but I'm already in the minority, and not doing the challenge would give them more ammo to send me home."

He takes a moment before sighing. "But being realistic, my chances of winning are unlikely anyways. I doubt shaving my head would do that much to change my position on the team. The only way being bald would be worth it is if I win. 1/13 when I'm already in a bad spot isn't good enough odds to make me do something I'd hate seeing every day. It took a while to even grow it this long to begin with."

Conf end

"I'm taking the penalty." Alec regretfully says while pressing the X.

"Are you kidding me? It's just hair, it will grow back!" Nick complains.

"I don't blame him, hair is important to some people." Lill defends Alec. Nick crosses his arms in annoyance as Ellie smiles.

Confessional: Ellie

"As long as I finish my challenge, I should solidify that I'm not the next to leave." Ellie says before a look of realization hits her. "Right… knowing what I'm probably going to do, I'm not too confident I'd even accept."

Conf end

Confessional: Nick

"He's seriously not even going to do his challenge!? It's not like he's attractive enough that losing his hair makes a big difference about his appearance. He'd be mediocre either way. He's certainly no me, or that one masked guy on the other team." he casually states before pausing at the implication. "Uh… y- you didn't hear anything! Whatever, in my books, Will or Alec are next."

Conf end

We see the Teal Team at Gabby's part of the challenge. "Fear of being alone. You must spend 20 minutes in an isolation room!"

Gabby looks horrified upon hearing this, though Grett seems to find this pathetic. "Seriously? That sounds easy." she comments, causing Gabby to look annoyed.

"Well, it's not." she retorts before Dan speaks up.

"I believe in you, Gabby. You can do this!" he encourages.

"I never thought I'd have to see the inside of one of these again. Fine, I'll do it!" Gabby hits the checkmark.

Bored of waiting for the penalty time to run out, Ellie uses this opportunity to walk up to Lill and strike a conversation. "Crazy challenge, huh?" Ellie asks a generic question.

"Yeah… I'm nervous when it's time for mine." Lill admits.

"Same." Ellie grimaces. "What is your fear?"

"Skydiving. I have anxiety that the parachute would not work." Lill explains.

"That makes sense. I think you'd be able to do it, you seem good at everything at camp. I respect you a lot Lill, you're a hard worker. There is nothing I hate more than lazy people." Ellie glazes Lill to make a good impression. This seemingly works, as Lill smiles.

"Thanks, Ellie. I never see you slacking either. I'd like to get to know you more, we haven't talked much." Lill offers. Ellie smiles.

"I'd like to know more about you too." Elle smiles. Mission accomplished.

We see Gabby locked up with slight anxiety showing in her body language. "How could you let them do this to you again? Get out of here and take your revenge!" she thinks.

"No!" she raises her voice out loud, causing the team to look weirded out.

"Who is she talking to?" Dan questions. Drew shrugs in response as Grett speaks up.

"She's probably just being a psychotic weirdo as usual. Nothing to see here." Grett shrugs, causing Dan to look annoyed while Jake, Drew, and Tom shoot her odd looks.

Confessional: Dan

"I feel really bad for Gabby. Having to deal with her as the person she talks to the most out here must suck. Grett clearly doesn't respect her at all." he crosses his arm with frustration.

Conf end

Gabby bursts out of the isolation room with a joyful grin. "I did it, let's go!"

Since the Purple Team are doing nothing like a bunch of boring flops, the camera just follows the Teal Team as they make it to their next room, that being Miriam's. "Fear of confronting your past… YOU. MUST. BAKE. A. CHEESECAKE." The voice is randomly super dramatic for this challenge.

"What's so painful about cheesecake?" Dan asks.

"This one should be easy, hag. Get to it!" Grett demands. Miriam shoots her an annoyed glance, though it's not as sharp as usual for the older woman, as she seems shaken by the request.

"I'd rather not." Miriam declines.

"Why?" Jake asks.

"It's personal, alright? I don't owe any of you whippersnappers an explanation. Back off." Miriam has an unusually softer tone as she declines the challenge and walks off.

"What the hell was that!?" Dan exclaims with frustration.

"Why are some of your fears so stupid?" Grett questions.

"Fears aren't stupid, we can't control them." Jake retorts with a glare.

We proceed to see a compilation of some of the contestants overcoming their fears in events that weren't important enough to get depth in this episode. Lill fearlessly skydives out of a plane. Grett fed a crocodile a turkey leg, though she screamed when it nearly bit her. Ellie swam in a pool with a shark, seeming proud of herself for stepping up and proving her worth. Jenson acted as a dentist for Drew, who was terrified. Nick has to get a needle injected. Dan has a spider crawl onto him. Once these khia dares are done, each team only has one more dare!

We see the Teal Team run up to Tom's challenge. "Just this, and we win!" Dan seems excited as the Scottish voice begins speaking.

"We couldn't find much information on you, so we're doing something that will bring you discomfort. You must remove your mask." the voice says, causing Tom to flinch with fright.

"I- I can't do that." he says worriedly.

"Come on, it's just a stupid mask! Do this and we win!" Gabby demands.

"I didn't get my hand almost bitten off just to lose now." Grett taps her foot bitterly.

"Tom, please!" Dan begs, but Tom has his mind made up and presses the X.

"Are you kidding me!?" Gabby complains, causing Tom to look annoyed. "Why is it so hard to take it off!? There isn't even any sunlight!"

"I don't owe you an explanation! Hate me all you want, I don't care." he snaps as the team except for Jake gives him annoyed stares.

Elsewhere, the Purple Team makes it to Will's challenge. "If you don't do this, we lose. Come on, Will." Ellie urges.

"So, we're probably losing…" Nick mutters quietly before the instructions are given

"You seem to be afraid of almost everything, so we randomized what fear you'll have to conquer. You must drink a glass of chocolate milk!"

Will loudly screams in horror, alarming everyone else. "Is this a joke?" Alec grumbles while checking his ringing ears. "Is your scream for comedic effect?"

"Chocolate milk? That's…" Ashley can't even finish her sentence from shock as Nick speaks up.

"Dammit, we need an explanation! Why the hell are you afraid of chocolate milk and acting like you've seen a dead body!?" Nick demands, unhappy with Will's cowardice.

"I… it's personal." Will turns his head away.

"You can tell us, none of us will judge you." Lill gives a warm smile.

"Exactly!" Ashley adds. Nick and Alec have looks of disagreement, but neither vocalize it.

Will sighs, deciding to tell the story. "When I was younger- about 8 or 9, I think- my aunt got into some trouble in our neighborhood. I don't know what she did, my parents never explained, but it was something bad that got some people after her. She abandoned her family to leave the town to avoid her issues with that group. They decided to target my cousin instead. We were doing something together at a family event, but then they showed up and kidnapped my cousin! They didn't want to hurt her, just use her as leverage to threaten my aunt. She managed to escape being tied up, and she even made it outside! But she slipped, hit her head, and fell in their pool of chocolate milk and drowned to death. After hearing that, I've been afraid ever since." Will lore drops. Everyone is speechless for about 30 seconds.

"What the fuck?" Nick did not expect to hear that.

"Why did they own a pool of chocolate milk? How much would that have cost!?" Ellie questions.

"That's a bizarre way to die, I've heard nothing like that before." Alec comments. Will and Ashley give him an odd look, causing him to clear his throat. "Oh yeah, I'm sorry about your cousin."

"I'm sorry too, Will. I hope she's resting easy." Ashley comforts.

"I hope so too…"

"I'm sorry for your loss and all, but we're wasting time. We don't want to lose again. Are you going to do it or not?" Nick impatiently questions. Will looks nervous, causing Nick to speak again. "Just close your eyes and don't think about what you're drinking, you can do it, lad."

"He's right! You want to conquer your fears? This is a good way to start! We can win the challenge, and you'd be the hero! I believe in you, Will!" Ashley encourages, causing Will to look a little more determined. His finger hovers above the checkmark. Thinking about what Nick and Lill told him, he presses the button. The team walks into the room, where there is a glass of chocolate milk.

"Hurry, who knows how easy the Teal Team's last challenge is." Ellie urges, unaware of Tom's penalty time. Will grabs the chocolate milk and hesitates to put the glass closer to his mouth.

"Will, do it! You got this!" Lill encourages. Will takes a deep breath and chugs the glass, causing most of the team to cheer, Alec being the exception.

Confessional: Alec

"The fact that we had to cheer for a grown man being able to drink chocolate milk is depressing. At least this will buy me more time."

Conf end

Confessional: Ashley

"I'm proud of Will! I hope that proves he's worth sticking around to Lill and Nick!"

Conf end

Confessional: Will

Will sighs. "I'm not even proud of myself. I know how ridiculous being afraid to drink chocolate milk is. If I want to seriously improve, I'll have to take on bigger fears than that. I got lucky. But I guess Ashley was right, this is a start. I'm grateful for her." he smiles.

Conf end

As the Purple Team are making their way to the exit, we cut to the Teal Team, pretty much aware they've lost. Tom is sitting down with a dejected look, to which Jake returns the favor from earlier and sits next to him. "Hey, I don't blame you. I don't know exactly what's going on, but I'm sure you have a reason. And it'd be hypocritical of me to judge you after I didn't do my challenge either." Jake assures.

"Thanks, Jake. I guess we both will get heat for this." Tom worries.

"Don't worry, I won't vote for you tonight." Jake smiles. Tom returns it, not that Jake can see. Elsewhere, Gabby is complaining to Drew.

"That was so unfair! I had to go into an isolation room, yet all Tom had to do was take off a silly mask? These challenges are too imbalanced." Gabby crosses her arms. Drew makes some gestures with his arms that Gabby is able to tell the meaning off. "You saw him walk off at night? Do you think he was looking for the totem, or doing something else?" Drew shrugs in response. "He's hiding something…"

Their conversation gets cut off as they hear Trevor yell into a megaphone. "The Purple Team wins immunity! Teal Team, we'll be seeing you tonight where one of you will be the second person voted out!"

Confessional: Dan

"Yeah, Tom lost it for us in the end, but he's been useful in everything else. Besides, Jake and Miriam failed too. I'd rather keep Tom around as a shield."

Conf end

Confessional: Grett

Grett groans. "Great, we lost. Whatever, time to set my plan into motion."

Conf end

Cut to Teal Team

Dan is quietly gathering Drew, Tom, and Jake and gestures for them to follow him out of camp. Dan has the subtlety of a mack track though, so Grett notices this and speaks to Gabby and Miriam, who are in the tent with her. "All the guys are going off alone, they're up to something."

"Do you think they're targeting one of us?" Gabby nervously asks.

"No, they're going to look at the flowers." Grett deadpans, causing Gabby to smile.

"Aw, I love flowers! Can we join-"

"Of fucking course they're targeting one of us!" Grett snaps, annoyed that Gabby didn't sense the clear sarcasm. Gabby looks at the ground with a sad expression as Grett continues. "Don't worry, I have a plan to save us. You two will just need to vote with me."

Miriam, tired of Grett's voice, speaks up. "I'll vote whoever you damn please if I can get some sleep!"

"Good to hear." Grett smirks.

We see the men gathered. "What do you need?" Jake asks Dan.

"Since there are four guys, I was thinking that we should form a guys alliance. I have a feeling the girls are working together anyways, so this seems like our best move." Dan says.

"Makes sense." Tom nods. Drew gives a thumbs up.

"Who should we vote for?" Jake asks.

"Miriam?" Dan offers.

"I don't want to vote for her." Jake admits despite her attitude towards him.

"Why not? Grett and Gabby did their challenges, and all Miriam does is complain." Dan retorts with an annoyed expression. "She's also the physically weakest. I don't see a reason to keep her around."

"She's one of our most useful assets around camp. All Grett does is sit on her ass and boss everyone around, why don't we vote for her instead?" Jake offers. Remembering his deal with Grett, Tom speaks up right away.

"Grett hasn't done anything wrong. Grett told me Gabby cost us the first challenge by talking too much and distracting the girls with the flag, why don't we vote for Gabby?" Tom offers.

Jake hums in agreement. "I'd be fine voting for Gabby too, she's in Grett's pocket anyways." he accepts. Dan looks a little hesitant as Tom turns to him.

"Would you and Drew be fine voting for Gabby?" he asks.

Drew gives a thumbs up, though he seems a bit sad to do so. Dan slowly nods. "I guess. If we keep the majority, it won't matter what order the girls go in."

Confessional: Tom

"I had to stick to my word with Grett."

Conf end

Confessional: Dan

"Well, that sucks. I want to fight harder for Gabby, but I don't want to come off like I'm bossing them around." he shakes his head with disappointment. "I liked Gabby, but I have to think about the facts. Gabby is cool, but she's also with Grett, and wouldn't choose me over her. Plus, three allies trump one any day, it's a simple equation. I hope she forgives me when this is said and done."

Conf end

Later in the day, we see Tom talking to someone on a walkie talkie. "I'm telling you, I just need some time-"

"Hey, Tom!" Grett suddenly pops up from behind him. Tom yeets the walkie talkie away and turns around nervously. Grett ignores the odd behavior to enact her plan. "I saw you talking with the guys. I sure hope they weren't throwing my name out."

"They were, but I took the heat off you. I remember our deal." Tom assures.

"Same here, but I don't think you can just the guys as much as you think you can." Grett says, causing Tom to look confused.

"Why do you say that?"

Grett pulls out Drew's notebook and hands it to Tom. "Drew has been writing about you, you can see it for yourself. From theories about your mask to your strange escapades at dawn. Whatever you're hiding, he already found out, or is close to doing so." she says. "Just think about that when you vote tonight."

With that, Grett walks off, leaving Tom conflicted and scared.

Cut to campfire ceremony

"Welcome Teal Team to your first elimination ceremony. One of you is about to go home. Who will it be? We'll see! Get voting!"

"I would've rather voted for Miriam or Grett, but the boys alliance will get me further in the game. Sorry, Gabs." Dan says apologetically while holding his vote for Gabby.

"I may have messed with Drew's notes, just a little." Grett smirks while holding her vote for Drew.

"Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person with the most votes must leave immediately."

"1st vote… Gabby."

Gabby tenses up.

"2nd vote… Drew."

Drew frowns.

"3rd vote… Gabby."

"4th vote… Drew. That's 2 votes Gabby, 2 votes Drew."

"5th vote… Gabby."

"6th vote… Drew. That's 3 votes Gabby, 3 votes Drew, 1 vote left…"

Gabby and Drew exchange a nervous look as Trevor pulls out the last vote.

"2nd person voted out of Disventure Camp…"

"Drew!"

"What? How did this happen!?" Dan asks in shock. Gabby looks hurt, this confirming that he voted for her.

"Wait, I'm confused." Jake looks shocked and is glancing around at the other guys.

"Huh… weird." Tom has the worst acting in the world that somehow no one notices.

"Drew, it's time for you to go." Derek gestures for him to leave. Drew stands up and gives a friendly wave that has a few people reciprocate. Grett wears a malicious expression as he leaves.

Confessional: Grett

Grett is waving around. "Thank you, thank you. I know, I'm damn good." she gives a sassy hair flip to the camera. "That was easy work. I have Miriam and Gabby in my pocket, and now I can blow things up with the guys whenever I desire. If the other boys find out, Tom only has me to rely on. It's nice to run this game." She has a look of confidence.

Conf end

Confessional: Gabby

"Dan voted for me!? I thought we were friends!" Gabby looks upset.

Conf end

Confessional: Tom

He sighs. "Look… I… Drew knew too much. I didn't want to go behind Jake's back- and Dan's too, I guess-" he hastily adds. "But for what I'm here to do, this was the right call."

Conf end

We see a flashback to about a month ago with Trevor and Derek. "Do you think everything is ready for the season?" Trevor excitedly asks, though Derek isn't matching his energy.

"There's just one thing in our way, but don't worry, I hired someone to take care of it." Derek shows Trevor a piece of paper, causing the latter to look worried.

"Jenson?"

...

...

...

We see Drew with a new notepad. "Hey everyone! I want to thank everyone who left a comment last episode! This show appreciates your support." he writes down.

"BlazingPyro55... Fiore has stans?" he randomly is super shady.

"Rose thinks Alec should elope with Tom... not gonna lie, I ship it."

"Jaron58... Nick's voice seemed funny, I wish I was on his team."

"Doubleglazeddonuts... I'm not a bitter person, but I think Tom flipped on me. I wouldn't mind seeing him again soon. I hope no one bullies him though, he seems nice."

"Fade_32... calling her a failed abortion is mean."

"Harhuii... I think Lill could win."

"Monir2004... did something happen to Will's cousin?"

"Sapphire_bird_n89... Lill stole her journal? Wow, she really is a player."

"Shi-Daisy... Fiore seemed nice, I'm shocked so many people are sad she left though."

"MysteryEnjoyer2381... I wish your prediction on me was wrong."

"Jake is Milo's babygirl... WTF!?!?!!? Um... I wish your prediction was wrong too. It seems Lill and Nick have tons of fans. Who is Aiden? Tom with Nick? Why do people keep shipping him?"

"TheNightKnight... more Lill and Nick stans. But was I that bad of a player that everyone expected me to leave? :("

"WBG... I'll see how fun Fiore thought her elimination was."

"Tides445... Fiore is too young for the Olympics. At least someone wanted me in the finale."

"Pussytightcleanfresh... Gabby said Ellie was nice. I wouldn't mind her doing well too!"

"GodJacob95... another Fiore stan! I need to tell her about her large fanbase."

"Guest... I support gays. Jake is cool!"

"Etheral_Stars8... more Tom and Nick shippers!? I'm so confused. Tom and Alec is better."

"Thanks again for supporting the show, and see you next time!"

Chapter Text

Episode 4: Slip N Slide

Intro

Cut to Purple Team

Alec and Ellie are the only two awake early in the morning. The duo are sitting by the campfire, though that quickly changes as Alec stands up. "No one is awake. This is the perfect time to go look for the totem." Alec urges. Ellie thinks about mentioning that Gabby has the immunity totem, but she decides not to say anything. After all, Gabby trusted her with the information, not Alec.

"Good thinking." Ellie ends up saying. "We have to think wisely though, we can't just rely on the totem. Even if we use it correctly, we'd still be outnumbered at the next vote anyways. Solid numbers are more important than advantages." Ellie puts a hand on her hips. "That circles back to our point of making connections. I think I made a good impression on Lill, I'm going to try and talk to her again. Did you talk to anyone?"

"Nick, but he's a pain in the ass. He was so smug, I just wanted to punch him in the face. That conversation didn't go very well, so I'll try to talk to other people." Alec says.

"Nick seems like the type of person I wouldn't get along with. Smug rich guy who never worked a day in his life? Yeah, I can pass." Ellie looks annoyed. "Let's hope things go well with who you talk to next."

Confessional: Ellie

"I know on the 5% chance that Alec, Gabby, and I all merge without the totem being used, Alec would distrust me if he knew I knew about the totem and lied about it. But I want to repay Gabby's trust by keeping it between us. Plus, if Alec was desperate enough, he could use my connection with Gabby to throw me under the bus somehow. I'm not letting that happen. I'm looking out for myself, not Alec."

Conf end

Cut to Teal Team

We see Dan, Jake, and Tom in camp. "Which one of you voted for Drew? We should've had the numbers for the majority, but now he's gone." Dan leers at the other two men.

Jake looks unsure. "Uh… maybe Drew voted for himself!" he suggests, causing Dan to narrow his eyes.

"What?" is all he gets out. He takes a moment to compose himself before speaking up again. "You really think Drew voted for himself!?"

"Who knows, maybe he didn't want to be here anymore." Jake shrugs.

"That makes no sense, Jake. One of us didn't vote for who we should, and it wasn't me." Dan deadpans. "Not to make accusations, but that was such a stupid thing to say, that I feel like you were the traitor." he accuses, causing Jake to gasp. Tom watches on, having not said a word the entire time.

"That is literally making an accusation, and I did not vote for Drew! Maybe you were the one who voted for Drew. After all, you were the one who was against voting for Gabby the most. I don't know why you'd not own up to it." Jake looks irritated.

"You're seriously accusing me!? I'm the one who formed the alliance, and you heard how shocked I was when Gabby stayed!" Dan defends himself.

"Maybe you took acting classes before coming here! FYI, those didn't pay off. I sure trust Tom more than I trust you!" Jake fires back.

"Tom, you don't believe this, right?" Dan turns to Tom with an expectant look. Tom, now having the attention on him, suddenly feels nervous.

"Tom, remember our time fishing? I wouldn't go behind your back." Jake says, causing Tom to feel guilty as his nerves increase.

"Uh… uh… this is the five year anniversary of my neighbor's cat dying… I need to grieve!" Tom makes up an odd excuse before running out. Dan and Jake exchange a confused look before it turns into annoyance.

Confessional: Jake

"I trust Tom, I know Dan was the one to flip. He's next in my books." Jake huffs.

Confessional: Dan

"Next time, I won't form an alliance with idiots. Why is it so hard for people to think logically? The girls were allied, it should've been an easy 4-3. But nooo, Jake's stupid and flipped. 'Drew voted for himself?' What kind of a dumb coverup story is that?" he facepalms.

Conf end

Confessional: Tom

He sighs. "Well, they don't blame me, somehow. I thought I'd have to own up to it. I can keep up this lie to keep attention off of me. As long as Grett doesn't say anything, I should be good. I feel bad for lying to Jake though. I have goals that don't involve him that I need to achieve, but he's always enthusiastic to talk to me."

Cut to Purple Team

We see Ashley cooking some squirrel meat over the fire as she and Will are talking. "Who needs traps to get food, am I right?" Ashley chuckles.

"I still have no idea how you killed that so easily, but I'm impressed." Will grins. If you were wondering why you didn't get to see Ashley kill this squirrel on screen, you're about to find out. Nick is walking back to camp with a bucket of water, slightly struggling to lift the heavy item. He trips on a stick and falls to the ground, the bucket flying out of his hands, putting out the fire and getting the meat wet.

"Nick!" Ashley throws her hands in the air. "You put out the fire!"

Nick groans from pain before looking at the cowgirl with irritation. "You're not even going to ask if me and my expensive suit jacket are okay? It has mud on it!" he complains while taking off the jacket and trying to wipe the dirt and mud off.

"Why did you even bring it out here then?" Ashley questions.

"I didn't know these hosts would be stupid enough to make us sleep in tents! I've never slept on the floor before!"

Confessional: Ashley

"Not to sound rude, but it's clear that more of society needs to go outside. I love my alliance, but Lill aside, I must ask, why didn't they prepare before coming out here?"

Conf end

Will sighs. "Still, we're going to have to remake the fire and get more food." he frowns.

Nick looks apologetic as his annoyance cools down and he realizes his mistake. "Uh… I'll find more food with Lill, you two work on the fire." he walks off.

"That was awkward." Will comments.

"Good folk and all, but man, he's clumsier than a pig in a barrel roll contest." Ashley shakes her head.

"Huh?" Will blinks.

"Nevermind."

"Oh." There is a slight moment of silence before Will speaks up again. "Thanks for your help in the last challenge, by the way."

"No problem! You clutched that win, we needed it after Alec didn't do his fear." Ashley says. "You helped me feel more comfortable doing that fire challenge, I was happy to return the favor."

"I'm glad I could help too. Honestly, I thought you didn't fear anything, you seem good at everything!" Will praises.

"Stoppp, no one is." Ashley laughs off the praise. "Everyone is afraid of something, even if they won't admit it."

"True. I don't judge you though, I'm kind of afraid of fire too." Will states. Raise your hand if you're shocked. If you raised your hand, put it down, you're lying.

"Why?" Ashley hesitantly asks, wondering if she's going to get a lore drop similar to the chocolate milk relative.

"When I was younger, my friend and I were roasting marshmallows over the campfire one day on a camping trip. Somehow, my marshmallow- which was still warm- caught her hair on fire. It burned all of her hair off, and she went bald! Some blonde lady at a nearby campsite went over to check on us since she heard screaming, but then she had a mental breakdown because she saw my friend without hair, and that woman is deathly afraid of bald children! Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not really afraid of fire, just losing my hair and having a random blonde lady crying about it. I'm not a kid anymore though, so I guess that wouldn't happen. Huh, I just overcame that fear!" Will chuckles. Ashley looks baffled as Will speaks up again. "What about you? Why are you afraid?"

Ashley looks off to the side, feeling some bad memories with that question. "Well, I'm not afraid of small fires like in a campfire. Moreso big ones. A fire burned down half my family's farm." she says quietly.

Will looks sympathetic. "I'm sorry, that's horrible! Is your living situation okay?"

"We got some luck, not everything was ruined, so we still live there." Ashley says.

"So, fire is just a bad memory of what you lost?" Will asks. Ashley nods. "Again, I'm sorry to hear that. It sucks that an unpreventable accident caused you so many issues."

Ashley sighs. "Except it was preventable. I don't want to go into details… but I got careless, and I still feel guilty about it." she simply says.

"Oh…" Will is shocked. He doesn't know what to say for about ten seconds, but he thinks of something quickly. "You don't need to go into details if it upsets you. But if you ever want to talk about this again in the future, I'll be here."

Ashley gives a small smile. "Thanks."

The conversation is interrupted as Alec walks towards the duo. "Hello." he greets.

"Hi." Will and Ashley say in unison.

"How are you two doing?" Alec asks.

"Nick put out the fire, so we have to make a new one." Will elaborates, causing Alec to scoff.

"What a surprise. Nick doesn't seem that capable, now does he? He spends most of his time complaining about camp." Alec says. "I know you two are working with him, but I think you should think of the consequences of moving forward with a liability."

"We'll consider it. Is Ellie on board?" Will nods in response, thinking strategically.

"She'd vote for anyone if it kept her in, we're free votes." Alec pitches while trying to subtly paint Ellie as a sneakier player. After more nodding from Ashley and Will, Alec tries to start a non-strategic conversation to seem friendly.

"Uh, have you been enjoying yourselves out here?"

"It's been tough, but I'm slowly getting more comfortable." Will responds.

"Yeehaw, I'm having a dandy good time!" Ashley grins. Alec blinks. Why is her accent so hard to understand? "How 'bout you?"

"It's been divine." Alec forces enthusiasm. Neither of the other two believe him. "It's quite the change of pace from working in the library."

"Library, huh? That makes sense. You seem like the type- not an insult, by the way." Ashley clarifies.

"I suppose I do." Alec nods. There is awkward silence as Alec notices the body language of the duo. "Erm, I'll let you two start the fire. If you need my glasses again, just ask."

Confessional: Alec

"Urgh, I don't have much in common with the rest of the team other than Ellie. It's not that I hate people, but I've never been a very social person to begin with. I wanted to rely on strategy. I just hope we win. Lill might be my best chance to make a good impression, she seems rather mature compared to the others in her alliance."

Conf end

Confessional: Will

"Alec seems alright, but I don't know, something isn't clicking. He just doesn't mesh with the rest of the team very well. He's not bad or dislikeable, but sometimes people don't really gel."

Conf end

Elsewhere, Lill and Ellie are in the middle of a conversation as they walk through the woods together. "I could not believe that a multi millionaire like Blaineley showed up to the Emmy awards wearing that. How did no one on her team tell her it was an outdated look on her?" Ellie questions.

"Huh, I don't keep up with the Emmy Awards, but it sounds bad. I'd trust your taste in fashion, I love your outfit!" Lill compliments, pleasing Ellie.

"Thank you! I designed myself, actually." Ellie responds while gesturing to her clothes. "I'm going to college to be a stylist. I don't really know how to classify my style though, I like to think of it as one of my own."

"I'd say that's a good thing! Maybe you'll start a new trend?" Lill considers. "I don't always wear my Girl Scout clothes, I typically have a sundress or some tank top and skirt combo on."

"Really? I would've never guessed that you'd be into dressing up. No offense." Ellie regrets her wording, thinking she may have insulted Lill, though the older woman just lightly chuckles.

"No worries. I'm not as into it as I am now, I mostly only wear nice clothes for Sunday brunch or any formal event. Fashion was more my thing when I was younger, but as someone who's in nature all the time, the clothes I wear have to be more basic. It's a sacrifice I have to make to do what I love. I hope you're able to pursue your dream of styling!"

"I hope so as well, but it'll be hard with my current financial state." Ellie switches the tone of the conversation and strategically puts on a sad tone. "I can barely pay for college despite working two jobs. I may have to drop out if I can't get enough money to pay for it all."

"That's terrible! College is so unnecessarily expensive, I'm glad I never had to go. I sincerely hope you find financial stability, whether it be from winning this game, or another source." Lill says sympathetically.

Confessional: Ellie

"I maaaaay have only told Lill about my financial struggles to make her feel bad for me so she'd be inclined to keep me over Alec. Is it the most morally correct approach? Eh, I technically didn't tell a lie. So, if Lill uses my sympathy speech as a good enough reason to keep me, then that's not my fault."

Conf end

"Hey Lill!" Nick greets as he walks towards the duo, ignoring Ellie. "Can you help me find food?"

"Sure! Ellie, do you want to join us?" Lill offers.

"No thanks, hunting isn't really my forte." She declines.

"It's not Nick's either, but-"

"I am perfectly adequate, let's go, Lill!" Nick grabs her by the arm and walks off, confusing Ellie.

Confessional: Nick

"It's annoying enough that I'm not good at survival, I don't need it to be broadcast to the people not in the alliance. I don't need them to think I'm just some embarr-" he cuts himself off and clears his throat. "Whatever, I'm a Milton, not some loser! I'll nail this, easily. Just you watch, I'll run laps around Lill by the end of the day!"

Cut to Teal Team

Miriam and Grett are in their team's tent. "That was a close one last night. I'm expecting you to give me a five thousand word thank you speech for saving our alliance from a disaster." Grett tells Miriam, who scoffs in response.

"The only speech I'm going to give is-"

"Copying one of Shakespeare's since you were alive when he was? Save it." Grett seems smug, thinking that her strategy of insulting her allies for literally no reason is a good way of playing the game.

"Go get poisoned." Miriam grumbles.

"Erm… I'm the one who does the poisoning." Grett rolls her eyes.

"Huh-"

"Anyways, the guys should be fighting amongst themselves now. As long as you and Gabby continue to do what I say, we should be good for the next vote. Dan or Jake should be toast." Grett says. Miriam doesn't care to verbally respond, causing Grett to smile. "You know, at least you know to shut up and be a loyal sheep. Gabby just talks and talks, you're way less annoying."

"She's not the only one who never shuts up." Miriam insults.

Grett lets out an annoyed exhale. "Believe me, this is going to be one of our only conversations. We're purely allies, I don't care enough about old hags who will die in two months to talk to you beyond this game." she flips her hair before walking out.

Confessional: Miriam

"Grett makes me wish I was dead already. Her gameplay is so transparent. I'll pretend that I'm just not caring about the game and will do whatever she says, but this 'old hag' is sharpening her knife. She better watch her back." Miriam glares at the camera.

Conf end

Gabby is picking berries alone. She isn't alone for long though, as Dan walks up to her. "Uh… hey, Gabby." he awkwardly greets. Gabby doesn't say anything in response, seeming annoyed. "I'm sorry about voting for you, I-"

"You're a hypocrite. You were telling me not to trust Grett, yet you were the one who led the charge against me!" Gabby glares.

"Hey now, I didn't do that! Tom and Jake wanted to vote for you, not me." Dan replies.

"Did they gather the boys together? I don't think so. Just leave me alone." Gabby coldly tells him off. Dan sighs before walking off.

Confessional: Dan

"Just great. I lost my connections with Jake and Gabby, and I'd hardly call Tom reliable. No one can be trusted here, I have to pray for an immunity streak so I can get enough time to find solid footing."

Conf end

Cut to Purple Team

We see Nick and Lill searching for food together. "Do you think we were too harsh on Will a few days ago? We didn't need to pile on him about the bad challenge performance." Lill wonders.

"No. This is a team competition where we need everyone to do well in the challenge." Nick responds. "We were being honest with him, there's nothing bad about it."

Lill sighs. "I guess."

"Why are you worrying about it anyways?"

Lill shrugs. "I'm not 'worried', I was just asking. Whatever, that's not our goal right now." Lill says before the duo see an apple tree. "Nice, there are apples. Nick, can you climb up and drop some? I'll hold the basket."

"Alright!" Nick agrees. He attempts to scale the tree, but he gets himself about two inches upwards before falling down. "Fuck!"

"Are you okay?" Lill asks with concern.

"I'm fine, give me a second." Nick grits with teeth with annoyance at himself before attempting to climb again. He makes it a bit further, but falls again. He gets up, and slips yet again! Lill looks concerned. Nick angrily stands up. "Bloody tree, I swear to- OW!" he cuts himself off with a yell after punching the tree out of anger like an idiot.

Lill facepalms. "Nick, leave this to me." she says before effortlessly scaling the tree and dropping some apples. "Are you good to continue?" she says after jumping back down.

"Yeah, it's whatever." Nick sighs. The duo continues walking, wanting to find some more fruit. Nick sees a bush with berries. Thinking it's more food, he walks over and begins putting them in his basket. Lill turns around and gasps, causing Nick to look confused. "What?"

"Nick, those are poisonous! We can't bring those back to camp!" Lill points out. "You put them in with the apples?"

"Uhhhhhhhh-"

"Dump them out." Lill sighs, trying to hide her slight annoyance. Nick does as instructed, and Lill directs the duo back to the apple tree. She climbs back and gets some new apples before climbing back down.

"Uh, sorry about that." Nick sheepishly says.

"It's okay." Lill replies. The duo walk back to camp with their apples, Lill not in the mood to get more berries after the poisonous fruit incident. After about twenty seconds, Nick grunts.

"My arms feel like jelly, carrying that water earlier took its toll. Do you think you could carry my basket too?" Nick requests. Lill takes a deep breath.

"Fine."

Confessional: Lill

"As a troop leader, I have to be patient. I work with kids, and not all of them have great backgrounds. I try to never let myself show too much negative emotions around them, and I think that really benefits me here. I wonder if forming an alliance with the first three people I was alone with was really a good idea. Someone like Ellie probably would've been more stable." Lill seems to be in thought. "Whatever, despite some… frustrating moments with how the alliance operates, I'll keep it together. I always have." She takes a deep breath, though you could tell something is slightly off in her eyes.

Conf end

Cut to challenge

We see everyone at the lake in their swimsuits. "It's time for the next challenge. Before we begin, Drew was voted out at the elimination." Trevor informs the Purple Team. Not one person cares that this khia was eliminated, so Trevor continues. "The first part of this challenge is simple. Your team must use canoes and row to the platform in the middle of the lake. The first team to arrive will get an advantage in the second half of the challenge. And you want to win this challenge, because this reward is the best of the season! You'll get to stay the night in a cabin with bed, air conditioning, food, showers, and even a phone to call home with!"

"Well, I'll be! I'd love to call my family!" Ashley beams.

"Cool!" Trevor seems happy about the gratefulness for the reward. "Pick your pairs, and we'll begin."

We see the Teal Team first. "Gabby, you're going with me, and that's final." Grett demands. Gabby frowns, but complies with a nod.

"Want to go together, Tom?" Jake asks with a wide smile while putting a hand on Tom's shoulder.

"Of course!" he agrees, causing Dan to grimace.

"I guess it's my turn with Miriam…"

Confessional: Dan

"Does that mean Tom is taking Jake's side? I hate that!" Dan complains. "Curse my lack of survival skills, I could've fished with Tom and earned his trust. Maybe I should use this ride as a way to find out some information for sure." he plots.

Conf end

"Will, wanna go together?" Ashley offers.

"Of course!" Will agrees.

"Lill, I know we haven't talked much, but let's change that." Alec requests.

"Sure." Lill nods. Ellie gives a deadpan look to the camera as she realizes that Nick is her partner.

Once everyone is in their canoes, Trevor yells. "This challenge is on, go!"

With that, the teams paddle off. We see Will looking somewhat nervous, but he is paddling very quickly, causing Ashley to look surprised. "Wow, I didn't know you had this in you!"

"I don't have a fear of the gym, I work out. Besides, the faster we get to the platform, the sooner we're out of the water. Besides, I need a good challenge performance anyways." Will says with determination.

"That's the spirit, yeehaw!" Ashley cheers, and the duo smile while looking into each other's eyes. No corny romantic music plays to accompany this, sadly, so let's move on to the opposite of corny. A complete bitch, Grett! She is with Gabby, who sighs loudly for no reason. Grett isn't annoyed by this, instead smirking.

"Wow, you're not screaming nonsense. I'm impressed, keep this up." Grett says.

"I don't scream nonsense, and I'm not in the mood to scream anyways. Do you know how it feels to have both teams try to kick you out right away? It feels like no one likes me." Gabby frowns. Grett feels no sympathy.

"Well, they don't. You're extremely annoying, and everyone thinks you're crazy. They'd be right on that assumption too." Grett insults. Gabby looks off to the side, trying not to tear up, having heard this same insult countless times before. "If it wasn't for me, you would've been toast. I managed to save you by telling some lies."

"Lies? Have you lied to me too?" Gabby worries.

"Of course I have." Grett admits to this for some reason. "But you better not have doubts about our alliance. Remember, Dan is a fake friend to you. And even if you are friends, friendship doesn't matter here, just about who is actually willing to keep you. I proved myself, so you better do whatever I say, or you're done. Got it?"

Gabby growls, looking like she wants to pick up the oar and give Grett a concussion. She takes a deep breath. "Okay." she doesn't attempt murder. Good job, Gabby. Grett has a satisfied smirk as we cut elsewhere.

Ellie and Nick are padding. Well, Ellie's doing most of the work, while Nick paddles with one arm and wipes a smudge off his suit with the other. "Ugh, this is never going to come out! This is why I hate nature, it gets everything dirty." Nick complains.

"Oh no!" Ellie does not give a fuck, but tries her best to force concern in her tone.

"I bet Gabby would be happy about my suit being ruined." Nick ignores her. "She'd be like 'HAHAHA! That's what you get for wearing precious goat fur!' So annoying… Gabby was the worst, wouldn't you agree?"

Ellie hides her irritation from Nick, but she's clearly annoyed. "Uh… yeah." She lies, wanting to get on his good side.

"Like seriously, her voice is the worst! It'd be fine if she didn't talk so damn much, or even if she kept her volume down! But noooo, she feels the need to scream in celebration for everything! It reminds me of my top of the line private tutors being overexcited when I'd get stuff right. You can celebrate without being obnoxious, people know this, right?" Nick rants.

"Maybe we should focus on the challenge." Ellie tries to get him to stop talking about Gabby, but this subtle hint doesn't go noticed.

"Didn't Alec say something about her going all SJW on him over reading a book with paper? No one cares! I'm all for people having opinions, but she is obnoxious as hell about them! Fiore is so lucky to be the only person in the game to not interact with her. I'm shocked Gabby wasn't voted off last time, maybe that lunatic threatened to kill everyone if they wrote her name down. Annoying bitch, urgh." Nick complains.

Ellie's eye twitches. "Can you focus on paddling? You haven't done much."

"I'm going as fast as I can, this is hard!" he says before going back to his rant. "Do you know how much this suit cost me, by the way? Four thousand pounds!" Nick whines. "I mean, I have more than enough money to buy a new one- a full closet of them, actually-, but it's still a pain in the arse."

"I'm sooooo sorry for you." Ellie sarcastically responds, the irritation in her voice apparent.

"What's with the tone?" Nick asks, oblivious to the fact that he's gloating.

"What tone?" Ellie plays dumb, not wanting to argue. Nick narrows his eyes, but lets it go.

Confessional: Ellie

"Despite understanding his point of view- I probably wouldn't be happy after what she did- I don't like that Nick is throwing shade at Gabby. He has no right to call her annoying when he's a lazy, spoiled brat! It sucks that I may have to work with him if I want to get further in the game." She pauses, then continues. "Gabby… I wish she came to visit me today. I really like seeing her, more than I thought I did."

Conf end

Nick groans. "My arms are killing me! I'll pay you 10k after this is done if you row on your own." he offers.

Ellie's eyes widen. "Wait, are you serious!?"

"Of course I'm serious, I don't lie when it comes to these things." Nick rolls his eyes.

"Deal!" Ellie instantly accepts with a great deal of enthusiasm in her smoker voice.

Nick drops the paddle, lounging back in the canoe. "Thanks, luv."

"Speaking of deals though, I bet Ashley and Will have one with each other. They're very close, I doubt either of them would ever vote the other out. Have you noticed that too?" Ellie asks.

Nick hums in thought. "Come to think of it, I do remember Ashley saying she'd refuse to vote for Will even when he lost the challenge for us last time."

"See? We need to watch out for them."

Confessional: Ellie

"I deserve way more than 10k for putting up with him. I did everything, even before he offered to pay me."

Conf end

Confessional: Nick

"I do intend to stick to my word, by the way. She will get that money, 10k isn't much for me. I'm glad she dislikes Gabby too, Gabby seemed to think they were friends! I have been thinking about going against Will and Ashley eventually, I don't know if now is the time though. Working with Alec?" he begins fake snoring at the mention of the Turkish man.

Conf end

We see Tom and Jake rowing together very gayly. "This challenge feels a lot easier than the last time. I'm glad I'm paired with you, you're strong." Jake compliments.

"Thanks." Tom seems pleased, though he changes his tune as he thinks of the previous episode. "Agreed on the last challenge, that was rough. I'm sorry for blowing it for us right at the end."

"No problem. Besides, I'd have no right to get upset after I didn't do my challenge." Jake assures. "I respect that you don't want to talk off your mask, even if I'm curious to see what you look like without it. I'm sure the rest of your face is as pretty as your eyes." he compliments, causing Tom's eyes to widen as he blushes.

"Oh… uh… thanks! I'm nothing special though, I just keep it on for my skin condition." he awkwardly stumbles on his words. "Uh, sorry, is that a bad response? I don't know how to react when I get a compliment."

"Don't sweat it, guys who get flustered easily are the most fun to compliment, it's cute." Jake says with a wink for emphasis, only further reddening Tom's face. Jake laughs as Tom turns his face away to hide it. Just then, a fish jumps out of the water and back in, shifting Jake's mindset. "I really hope we win that reward, I'm tired of only eating fish."

Tom gives a small chuckle. "Same. What are you craving?"

"Chinese takeout, I always order that back at home." Jake says, causing Tom to look excited at the common ground.

"I love Chinese food! I know a place back home that you'd love." Tom states.

"I'd love to check it out. Maybe you could take me when this is done." Jake boldly offers.

"That'd be fun!" Tom accepts before quickly adding. "I- if I have time."

Tom internally facepalms. Why was he so quick to accept that offer without knowing if he could fulfill it? Why is he even getting attached? That's not what he's supposed to be here for. He knows that as sad as it sounds, Jake is one of the people he's talked to the most in years… and he's only known him for a few days. But he didn't expect talking to anyone in the game to mean anything to him.

"How have you been?" Alec asks as he and Lill are rowing, trying to make conversation.

"Good! But I have to admit, I miss my girls." Lill admits (duh).

"You have kids? Doesn't surprise me, you seem like a good mom." Alec compliments, though Lill doesn't seem happy.

"I don't have any kids, I meant my scouts." She corrects with a sad tone. Alec notes this. She shakes her head to snap out of her thoughts before returning the question. "What about you?"

His son isn't a topic that Alec was particularly eager to bring up, but he knows he needs to be open in order to forge connections. "Well, uh, I have a son. His name is Daniel."

"That's nice! How old is he?" Lill questions.

"Six."

"What's he like? Into the outdoorsy stuff? Sporty? Or more of a bookworm like you?" Lill inquiries.

"He… uh… well-" Alec ponders this question for longer than he should. Lill raises an eyebrow at the delayed response. "He likes to ride his bike." He comes up with the first thing he could think of.

"That's a pretty basic activity for a kid his age." Lill comments.

"What else do you want me to say?" Alec questions, seeming done talking about his son already.

"I wasn't judging, I was just saying."

Suddenly, another interest pops into Alec's head. "Oh, uh, right, he's into technology. He told me all about this VR stuff he wanted, but it was too expensive. Kids in general are really expensive. You may have dodged a bullet." he says.

"Yeah…" Lill's voice trails off.

Confessional: Lill

"Alec hesitating to answer basic questions about his son is a little weird to me, he seemed pretty dismissive about him in general."

Conf end

Dan and Miriam are rowing together. "Uh, Miriam-"

"Shut up!"

Dan looks at the camera with an annoyed look. "Miriam, I-"

"Did you not listen!?" Miriam snaps. "What do you need to talk about!?"

"I wanted to ask about the last vote. Which guy voted with you?" Dan asks.

"Go ask Tom and Jake, not me."

"But I want to know!"

"I don't care!" Miriam snaps. "We're about fifty feet from the platform, row faster!"

"Well actually, it's about fifty four feet-" Dan gets cut off by Miriam smacking him with the oar, knocking him off the raft. We cut to the platform, where all duos other than these two and Ellie and Nick have made it. Dan emerges from the water with an annoyed look. "Miriam, what the hell was that for? You do realize we both have to get there!"

"Fine, just no talking. Your voice is annoying." Miriam scolds. Dan crawls back onto the raft and pouts as Miriam quickly begins rowing, shocking Dan.

"Woah, I didn't know you could row that fast!"

"It's not the first time I've done this." Miriam smirks.

Confessional: Miriam

"Back in my day, I was on my school's rowing team." She talks about an event from the 1600s. "I may not be as strong as I used to be, but I haven't lost my technique!"

Conf end

Soon enough, Miriam and Dan surpass Nick and Ellie, Ellie not being able to outrow Miriam. "The Teal Team gets the advantage in the next challenge, dueling sticks!" Derek announces. "It will make the second part of this challenge easier, as the Purple Team will have to use thin branches. For your challenge, it will be a series of 1 on 1 duels. You must knock your opponent off the platform to score a point for your team. The first team to three points wins immunity. To save time, one person on each team will side out. We're going to randomize who that is!"

"Please don't sit me out…" Ashley crosses her fingers.

"Ashley from Purple, and Miriam from Teal will sit out!"

"Oh barbecue sauce!" Ashley snaps her finger in disappointment.

After a transitional cut, we see the first round.

"First round is Alec from the Purple Team, and Tom from the Teal Team! Go!" Derek announces. Alec swings his stick at Tom's head, but Tom ducks, putting a hand up to grab the stick and throw it into the water. Now unarmed, Alec decides to tackle Tom to the ground. Alec pins Tom's arms down to try and force the dueling stick out of his hand. Tom tries to knee Alec off of him, but this doesn't end up working. The duo keep tussling in close proximity as Jake watches on.

"Not gonna lie, this is really hot." Jake comments. Dan raises an eyebrow.

Confessional: Dan

"Why are people so horny? I don't get it."

Conf end

Eventually, Tom manages to use his legs to flip Alec into the water.

"And that's a point for Teal Team!" Derek tallies the score. After a small break, we see Lill and Gabby on the platform. "It's Lill vs Gabby!" I know Derek, I just said that. "Go!"

We see Lill try to swing the stick at Gabby, but Gabby uses the dueling stick to smash it. Gabby strikes Lill in the head, knocking her to the ground. She grabs Lill by the leg with a malicious expression and tries to drag her off, but Lill gets Gabby to the floor, steals her dueling stick, and knocks Gabby into the water.

"1-1!"

Confessional: Grett

"Can she do anything right?"

Conf end

"Next up is Ellie vs Dan! Go!" we see two weaklings on the platform. Ellie runs up to Dan. Seeing that the two last members had their sticks get broken, she dropped the stick and went to tackle Dan off the platform. Dan simply steps out of the way, and Ellie goes flying off the platform.

"That was sad." Derek comments. "Dan wins by doing… not much. If Teal scores again, they win immunity."

The screen transitions, and we see Will and Grett. "Go!" Derek announces, and the two clash. Will drops his stick, knowing it won't be helpful. Grett tries to swing her duel stick at Will, but he grabs it, tanking the force Grett swung with. He uses his strength to shove Grett backwards and off the platform, causing a huge splash that reaches far enough to submerge her teammate's side platform, knocking them all into the water.

"It is 2-2! The next point wins!" we see the screen transition to Jake vs Nick. "Go!"

Nick swings the stick, breaking it across Jake's face, who holds his face in pain. "Ow!" he winces. The duo begin fighting over the duel stick as Nick tries to rip it out of his hands. Nick steps on Jake's foot, causing Jake to scream. "Ow! What the hell is wrong with you?"

Out of anger, Jake knees Nick in the balls. Nick wheezes in pain before Jake shoves him off. "And that's the game! Teal Team wins immunity!" Derek announces. The Purple Team looks disappointed as the Teal Team cheers, Gabby in particular seeming to find the last round funny, annoying Nick.

"Great work, Jake!" Tom cheers. Jake swims over, and the duo embrace. Grett raises an eyebrow at this.

"Purple Team, one of you is going home. You have until tonight to figure out who that will be. Everyone, head back to camp." Derek says. Gabby looks at Ellie, who has a pleading look. Gabby jumps in the water and swims towards Ellie as everyone begins swimming towards the canoes.

Confessional: Jake

"I'm glad I clutched that! I think calling my brother will be really good for me, this reward will be awesome!"

Conf end

Confessional: Ashley

"Well, this should be an easy vote."

Conf end

Confessional: Ellie

"I'm really thankful for Gabby. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it tonight, but having it just in case is helpful."

Cut to Purple Team

We see the Purple Team alliance walking in the middle of the forest. "Why would that twink do that!? How will I have children now!?" Nick complains with a limp.

"We need to discuss the vote." Ashley doesn't seem concerned. "I think it should be Alec. He just hasn't delivered in the past two challenges, and he keeps to himself a lot."

"Agreed." Will agrees (duh).

"I'm fine with that. I think Ellie deserves to stay more anyways." Lill finishes up the easy discussion. Lill and Nick head one way, and Will and Ashley head the other. Will and Ashley don't even get to speak before they see Ellie and Alec approaching them.

"Hey." Alec greets.

"Here to talk about the vote?" Will clocks, to which the duo nods.

"We're pitching that you vote for Nick. He was very critical of you after what happened with Fiore." Alec says.

"You were too." Will deadpans. Ellie and Alec exchange a tense glance after hearing that tone in Will's voice. It didn't sound too enthusiastic to vote with them. "But we can consider it."

"He did lose us the game point." Ashley adds.

Confessional: Will

"We aren't doing that. Ashley wants to stay loyal to the alliance, and we have no reason to vote out Nick anyways. Am I his biggest fan? I'm iffy on him after he nearly voted me out, but he's better for my game. Ashley and I aren't concerned about a 2v2, we'd beat him in a tiebreaker." Wow, Will? You have confidence in something? We're all shocked.

Conf end

Confessional: Alec

"I'm worried… I have to hope Ellie's bond with Lill pulls some weight. Will and Ashley don't seem like they're voting with us, so it seems we have to try and vote with Lill and Nick."

Conf end

"Please, please vote for Will." Ellie says in a desperate tone as we see her and Alec gathered with Nick and Lill.

"You never know what ridiculous fear could cost you next. We're down in numbers, and the Teal Team isn't getting any weaker." Alec states.

"We'd love to move forward with you two. Lill, I really enjoyed our conversations! And paddling on the boat with you was so fun, Nick." Ellie lies about the last part.

"I enjoyed our conversations too." Alec also lies. "If you've seen the way Will and Ashley look at each other, they'll become closer than just an alliance soon enough. You can't have that around for long, or they'll be a big threat."

"You make some good points." Nick admits.

"Will knows you were targeting him before, it wouldn't be a shock if he tries to backstab you later for revenge." Ellie adds. Lill and Nick exchange a thoughtful glance.

Confessional: Ellie

"I'll be honest, I'm not exactly confident the vote is going our way. But I am sure that the vote is going towards Alec over me. I'm not going to play the idol tonight unless I have a last minute instinct that I'm the one getting votes. Because to be honest… playing the idol won't improve my position. If I save Alec, we'd still be outnumbered 3-2, he goes next, and I go right after. If I hold onto the idol and they target me next, I play the idol for myself, and would still go home after that when only four people are left on the team. My best bets for long term positioning are either Lill and Nick vote with us, then Ashley is mad enough to work with us. Or the alternative is that Alec goes, and I'm able to position myself as a swing vote between two duos. They're smart enough to know that the alliance going down to 2v2 isn't good for their games. Either way, playing the idol on Alec doesn't really help me long term right now if I think about all my options."

Conf end

Confessional: Lill

"Nick and I weighed our options. Ultimately, we decided to do what was best for our game, and for our team."

Cut to campfire ceremony

"Welcome Purple Team. Your good luck was only temporary, now one of you is going home! Get voting, and we'll see who that is." Derek demands.

"Will, I still haven't forgotten that you should've been the first one gone. Since you and Ashley seem unwilling to flip, it's time to cut ties." Alec votes for Will.

"Nothing personal, you're just not in our alliance." Will shrugs while holding his vote for Alec.

We see a quick cut of Ashley, Ellie, Lill, and a hesitant Nick voting before cutting back to the campfire.

"Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person with the most votes will have to leave immediately."

Alec and Ellie look unconfident while no one else looks worried. Ellie debates using the idol, but she does nothing.

"1st vote… Will."

Will doesn't seem shocked.

"2nd vote… Will. That's 2 votes for Will."

Ashley puts a hand on Will's shoulder.

"3rd vote… Alec."

Alec gulps, and Ellie takes a sigh of relief.

"4th vote… Alec. That's 2 votes Alec, 2 votes Will, 2 votes left…"

Nick and Lill exchange a glance as Alec takes a deep breath.

"5th vote… Alec. That's 3 votes Alec, 2 votes Will, 1 vote left…"

Alec looks dejected as Trevor pulls out the last vote.

"3rd person voted out of Disventure Camp… Alec! That's 4, it's time for you to go."

Ellie frowns, Nick grins, and the rest remain neutral as Alec stands up. Before he leaves, he turns to the team. "I must say, it's disappointing to have had no chance this season because there is an alliance with two of the worst players here. Ashley, Lill, I hope you two know how much Will and Nick are going to drag this team down." he gives them an annoyed glance. Ashley rolls her eyes, finding Alec to be acting bitter. Lill doesn't give away her thoughts, though she is thinking.

Nick isn't shy about voicing his thoughts. "You were the only one not to do your fear last time, and you didn't win your duel today either. We won't miss you!" Nick taunts. Ellie looks like she wants to say something, but Alec gives her a glance, not wanting her to make enemies right now.

"Good luck, Ellie." Alec ignores Nick before walking out.

Confessional: Ellie

"I feel bad to see Alec go, but long term, this could be the best thing for my positioning. And I still have the idol whenever I need it, which is a bonus."

Conf end

Confessional: Lill

"If we betrayed Will, Ashley would just work with Alec and Ellie next time because she'd be burned. I know that's what they were banking on, so we couldn't let it happen. But now that we're down to just five on the team… it might be time to shake things up. The alliance can't last forever, especially if we keep losing. I love them, but I have to be strategic."

Conf end

We see Tom running inside the production tent, grabbing some ID of what looks to be Jenson. He runs back out, and Jenson smiles at the sight.

We see Alec looking bored and annoyed as he waves to the camera. "Hello… how much are you paying me to do this?" Alec asks, and a voice off screen can be heard saying something, but the words aren't clear. Alec's sour face paints the picture though. "Oh, fuck this… whatever, let's get this over with. We wanted to thank all the commenters on Disventure Camp Season 1: Alternate Reality. Without you, this wouldn't exist."

"Cooper_Hunter376… I disagree, this season seems like it will be a disaster." Alec seems bitter.

"Shi_Daisy… I… own your heart!?" He seems shocked. "Uh… I'm glad I had a fan!"

"Doubleglazeddonuts… you wanted me out? Well, fuck you too. And what do you mean Tomlec!? Tom isn't my type… I'm straight." he crosses his arms and huffs.

"MysteryEnjoyer2351… I'm rooting for Ellie too, you have good taste. It should've been Will instead of me."

"Rose wants Alec to elope with Tom!? Huh!? Why do people ship me with Tom, I have a wife! Urgh, you wenches probably loved our fight." Alec blushes from embarrassment. "And how dare you want me to be bald! You're the worst, Rose. Roses were always a flower I wasn't fond of for a reason."

"BlazingPyro55… was Drew boring?"

"Sapphire_bird_n89… who is Millie, why do people keep mentioning her? Dreadful social skills? I hate everyone who watches this damn show, they're all so rude. And Drew ships Tom and I!? I'm going to have a word with him." Alec glares.

"HajimieTDFan… I hope Lill's alliance falls soon."

"Pussytightcleanfresh… odd name aside, you know what you're talking about. Fiore and I deserved better, and Ellie better make it far."

"Etheral_Stars8… thanks for shipping Tom with someone who isn't me. You like Nick!? The taste some people have…"

"Samota… younger people aren't cut out for the game."

"Jake is Milo's babygirl… erm… that's interesting. Don't remind me of that stupid chocolate milk thing."

"Jaron58… not a nice thing to hear you didn't want me to succeed."

"Guest… agreed."

"Drew was robbed and should've won the season… I didn't know he had fans, he seemed quiet." he wasn't aware of the reason for the notepad. "Also, another Nick apologist? Taxes are a nice break from other things in my life, why do people judge that I enjoy it?"

"TheDrama100 is a meanie… who? I'm sorry your worries were founded, I'm not happy to be here."

"Fade_32… what's with the constant use of the word slay? Back in the day, people didn't say it all the time." Alec shakes his head.

"Thanks again, and tune in to the next episode."

Notes:

Episode 4 is done! Time for half the readers to click off because of the boot!

Alec- RIP. I wanted to do more with him, but at the same time, I felt like having him survive a long time without Fiore would A. Not have as much story potential, and B. Feel kind of forced considering he didn't do anything on his own to get out of a bad spot without Fiore, and no one has a reason to flip right now. The sacrifices of this AR series are that some iconic players go earlier than canon and can't become their canon iconic self, so Alec is done here. DCASAR is a better run for him if you want to read me writing him for a longer stay.

Remaining Players:

Teal- Tom, Jake, Dan, Miriam, Gabby, Grett

Purple- Will, Nick, Lill, Ashley, Ellie
