Work Text:

Minghao has always craved the unknown, and has always wanted more out of life. He is a curious being by nature, and he wanders places he has no business being. It is a habit his mother had hated ever since it had first manifested in his wanderings as a toddler, a trait that was easy to brush off as nothing more than childlike curiosity. But he grew and it didn't go away. Countless lessons on stranger danger and always following to the route back home refused to stick. Extracurriculars like classical dance and martial arts held his interests for a short time before his interest wandered like it was prone to. In short, he was a difficult child. Far too stubborn for his poor parents to handle. They loved him anyway.

Somehow, Hong Jisoo thinks he will manage to rid Minghao of it when even his parents had failed to do so.

Still, he lets him think he can. Kneels at his feet and lays his head on his thigh for hours at a time. Lets him believe his honeyed words have any effect too. He will give Jisoo this, so he can have what he truly wants.

His wanderlust is what led him to the coven in the first place. Impulsively, he had dropped out of college in the dead of night, and gone on a walk in the woods, breathing in the air, wondering if he could live like that forever. It would be preferred to the city, but surely he would tire of that too.

Jeonghan had been a vision bathed in moonlight, terrifying as he drained a whole deer in front of Minghao. Minghao was entranced the minute he had seen him, and he hadn't stood a chance. Suddenly, fiercely, he had been filled with a longing, a quest for more. Perhaps approaching him in such a state hadn't been wise, and he'd gotten a broken arm and a bloody wound in his neck for his troubles, but he had also gotten the coven.

Jihoon, Jeonghan, Wonwoo and Jisoo. Terrifying, beautiful, dangerous. Things Minghao craved and hoarded. The reason for half his problems lay in his longing for that which he should not have. Knowledge of them was amongst it.

Still, they had accepted him. Almost too easily. An outsider. At first, there had hardly been any transactions between them. He could have been likened to a pet in those earlier days. They viewed him with a mix of curiosity and amusement, as though they pitied him. They had seen him as far more naive than he truly was, and so he had let them believe. It endeared him to them, if only because it dehumanised him in equal measure. Minghao was fine with it, they had provided him with far more excitement than he had had in recent years.

It wasn't like they all took to him well at first, however. They had clearly been burned by humans before. It was why they stayed hidden, deep in the woods. Jeonghan had grown a liking for him almost immediately, but it was only because they shared a similar curiosity about otherness. And Jeonghan was a creature of impulsivity, acting on whims in a way that was all too familiar to him. Jihoon had come around next, surprisingly. He was a certified hermit, and had a hatred for leaving the walls of their manor even at night. The others accommodated this need, and brought back the spoils of their hunt for him so he would have no need to leave. Still, when Jeonghan had vouched for him several months in, he had accepted. Wonwoo had come next, possessive as he was. Soon, Minghao was one of his things to be kept.

It had taken Minghao offering himself to be fed from for Jisoo to finally come around, if only out of curiosity as to what kind of mad man willingly offered himself on a platter to four vampires to feed from.

Minghao would be lying if he said he hadn't been scared when Jisoo had taken up his offer first, walking up to him boldly. Even Jeonghan had looked apprehensive for a brief moment before his eyes had shuttered shut. Still, the rest liked him, and Jisoo would surely respect that. Minghao soon finds that he had never known pleasure until they fed from him.

Jisoo drinks from him most often, his appetite insatiable now that he has a steady supply of authentic human blood. He drinks for hours at a time, letting Minghao melt into a puddle of pleasure beneath him, going at an agonisingly slow pace that means nothing to a creature like him. Minghao is weak beneath him, completely at his mercy. And yet, he has nothing to fear.

He knows Jisoo.

Minghao sighs as Jisoo detaches from his chest, the marking around his nipple stark and dotted with droplets that Jisoo licks up teasingly, sending a heated look up at him. This is pleasure, Minghao thinks as Jisoo travels up, licking at his neck.

This is life, Minghao thinks, as Jisoo breaks the skin there, tender and bruised. But it could be more, if only he could convince the creature that sucks at his neck languidly. Jisoo runs a hand down his sides, and presses him deeper into the bed. Minghao had hardly realised that he was arching off of it. It is easy to get lost in the pleasure the bite provided, a temporary solution to the pain he would otherwise feel. Still, he will be sore after this, and for days to come. In these moments, all he can focus on is the dizzying pleasure Jisoo fills him with.

Jisoo is soft for him, though he pretends not to be. Jisoo would give him what he wished. But not now. Maybe not even tomorrow or months to come. But he will give in. This, Minghao knows.

He shuts his eyes and nuzzles Jisoo's thigh, content. He can be happy with this, he resolves. He will get what he truly longs for soon.
