Work Text:

“Seok-ah,” Yoongi said, baby on his hip, as he opened the door to see his best friend’s smiling face. “I appreciate you coming on such short notice.”

He got called into an emergency meeting at work and rang Hoseok in a panic. Luckily he was available and willing to come over to stay with his son, Soobin.

“Of course,” Hoseok replied happily, stepping over the threshold. Just by seeing Hoseok’s bright smile, he felt more calm. “I love spending time with Soobin-ie.”

“He loves it too,” Yoongi admitted with a tiny smile as he turned his head to look at his baby who was laughing at Hoseok’s silly faces.

“Just him?” Hoseok teased and quickly glanced into his eyes before focusing back on Soobin. Yoongi’s cheeks felt warm and he changed the subject.

“If I’m not back in time, Soobin-ie’s bedtime is 7:30 and-” Yoongi began to rattle off all of the care instructions, but Hoseok interrupted before he could finish.

“Eat a tub of ice cream and go to bed at 10:30, got it!” Hoseok laughed at Yoongi’s stern look. “Hyung, I’ve watched Soobin hundreds of times. I know his routine inside and out.”

Yoongi sighed. “I know I just worry.”

“You wouldn’t be Yoongi if you didn’t,” Hoseok said, taking Soobin into his arms. “You’re a great dad.”

“Thanks,” Yoongi replied quietly. Some days, like today especially, he needed that reminder.

It was difficult raising Soobin on his own. Soobin’s mom gave him full parental rights after he was born, worried about being too young and not feeling ready to be a parent just yet. She ended up moving to the States for her degree in fashion design. She was completely out of the picture.

That was why he was grateful for Hoseok. His best friend had been there for him since the beginning, helping to take care of Soobin when he was able to. Yoongi’s parents were still living in his childhood home in Daegu while he moved to Seoul for college, which was how he met Hoseok.

That man was Yoongi’s lifesaver. He thanked the universe often for introducing them all those years ago. He wouldn’t know what to do without him.

“Don’t you need to get going?” Hoseok asked, gently nudging him through the open doorway. Oh right. Yoongi almost forgot he needed to go back to work. He wished he could stay home with Hoseok and Soobin instead.

That would be better use of his time.

He waved and said goodbye to Soobin with a quick kiss to his forehead.

“I’ll see you later, Seok-ah.”

“We’ll be here waiting.”

Yoongi wondered why his heart skipped a beat as he drove to his office.

-

Yoongi winced at the time on his watch as he quietly unlocked the door to his apartment. He needed to stay at work later than he would’ve liked to. He felt bad that it was nearing his 10-month-old’s bedtime.

His apartment was completely silent; lit by a single lamp that warmed the living room and the tv playing a random cartoon with the volume muted. He walked towards the plush couch where he spotted a familiar mop of hair and his heart melted at the sight.

Soobin was curled up on Hoseok’s chest, sound asleep. One of his tiny thumbs was resting on his bottom lip. And so was Hoseok, sprawled horizontally on the couch. He had a protective arm around his baby so he didn’t fall off.

Yoongi smiled and inwardly cooed. They were so adorable together. He didn’t have the heart to wake either of them, so he decided to let them sleep for a little longer. He draped the quilt that was resting on the back of the couch over the sleeping duo.

Wanting to capture the moment forever, he took out his phone and snapped a picture. He winced when he heard the shutter go off and Hoseok groaned, slowly waking up from his slumber.

Yoongi immediately felt bad. He knew how tired Hoseok was after his own job sometimes, but he still had the energy to come over for dinner a few times a week to hang out with him.

“Hyung?” Hoseok’s soft and groggy voice called out. “You home already?” His words were slurred from sleep.

Yoongi chuckled and felt the urge to run his fingers through Hoseok’s slightly messy hair that is usually straight and neat, but he resisted.

“It’s almost 7:30,” he replied.

“Your son had a lot of energy to burn tonight,” Hoseok told him with a smile, glancing down at Soobin, who wasn’t disturbed by the two of them talking. “He was sitting up and engaged with the book we were reading together, and then all of a sudden, he got this random burst of energy.”

“I don’t know where he gets that from,” Yoongi said, shifting his eyes away from Hoseok.

His best friend rolled his eyes. “Yeah, it’s a complete mystery, hyung.” Hoseok yawned and then glanced at the gold watch on his slim wrist.

“Go and get some rest,” Yoongi said firmly, reaching out to pick up Soobin. “I’ll get him ready for bed.”

Yoongi lifted him up as carefully as he could, but the movement still jostled him awake. Soobin blinked his eyes slowly at Hoseok and held out his tiny arms to grab onto him.

“Seok-ah.”

Yoongi’s eyes snapped to Hoseok’s. His eyes were wide and his mouth was open in shock.

“Seok-ah,” Soobin called again, latching tightly to Hoseok’s red sweater, not wanting him to leave. His best friend chuckled nervously and carefully wrapped his fingers around Soobin’s to loosen his grip.

“I have to go,” Hoseok told him softly. He places a feather-light kiss on the crown of Soobin’s head. He glanced over to Yoongi. “Are we still on for dinner tomorrow night?”

Yoongi nodded his head, still too dazed to speak.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, Soobin-ah.” Hoseok smiled at him before shifting his attention to Yoongi again. His cheeks were tinted a pale shade of pink. “Have a good night, hyung.”

Yoongi coughed and resituated Soobin to rest on his hip. “Goodnight, Seok-ah.”

With one final smile shared between them, Hoseok walked to the front door and quietly closed it behind him.

“Soobin-ah,” Yoongi asked softly, looking at his son with a proud expression on his face, “why couldn’t your first word have been ‘dada’?”

“Seok-ah!” Soobin smiled and clapped his hands happily. “Seok-ah!”

“Yes, yes,” he said with a quiet laugh as he walked Soobin down the hallway to his bedroom. “We miss our Seok-ah, don’t we?” Soobin nodded once and stuck his thumb in his mouth. Yoongi shook his head fondly and then began to get him ready for bed.

He slipped into his own bed later that night, his mind reeling. His son said his first word today, which was such a huge milestone. But it was a shock to both him and Hoseok that instead of “daddy” or “dada”, it was Hoseok’s name.

More specifically, it was the nickname Yoongi gave him from when they first started to become friends. It slipped out one day when they were getting lunch together and it stuck with them since then.

Seok-ah.

Yoongi couldn't stop thinking about the shocked look on Hoseok’s face and how nervous he seemed after the fact. He hadn’t heard from Hoseok the rest of the night, either. It wasn’t atypical of him, but there was still an unsettling feeling in his gut.

Questions began to swirl in his head about whether or not this just ruined their friendship. But he waved away that negativity right away.

If they could survive liking the same boy, a very pretty boy by the name of Kim Seokjin when they were rooming together in college, who ended up going out with Yoongi’s friend, Namjoon instead…well they could survive anything.

Or at least, he hoped they could.

Yoongi sighed and turned on his side to pick up his phone on the bedside table. Still no text from Hoseok, but there was a missed call from Namjoon. He tapped on his name, wondering what he needed.

Namjoon picked up after three rings.

“How are you, hyung?” Namjoon’s deep voice filled with sleep asked through the phone.

“Sorry I missed your call,” Yoongi replied, sitting up with his back against the headboard.

“That’s okay,” Namjoon told him, “I don’t remember the reason.” Yoongi suspected he was lying, but he couldn’t prove it. He didn’t question it.

“Soobin-ie said his first word today,” Yoongi told him.

Namjoon cheered. “That’s great news, but you don’t sound thrilled. What’s wrong?” He asked, concern laced in his voice. “Oh my god, did he swear? I’ve been telling you to watch your mouth around him.”

Yoongi gasped. “I don’t swear. That’s Hoseok and his stupid mouth like a sailor.”

“Then what did he say?”

Yoongi took a deep breath and said, “Seok-ah.”

“Is Hoseok there with you?” Namjoon asked, confused.

Yoongi shook his head, then realized that Namjoon couldn’t see him. “No, he isn’t.” Yoongi paused for a few seconds and then added, “Soobin said Seok-ah.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah.”

“Well,” Namjoon started, pausing to think about what to say next. Yoongi could picture his friend scratching his chin.  “Is it really surprising?”

“Both of us were,” Yoongi pointed out.

“Think about it though, hyung,” Namjoon replied, “how many nights this week has Hoseok come over?”

“Four,” Yoongi answered with a sigh, “and he’s coming over tomorrow night, if he still wants to, that is.”

“He wants to,” Namjoon responded immediately. “You know he does.”

Yoongi knew. Hoseok even said so, but sometimes Yoongi’s brain wasn’t nice to him and made him question or overthink various scenarios.

Really think about it,” Namjoon repeated. He then yawned. Yoongi felt bad for keeping his friend awake. “Goodnight, hyung. Keep me updated about what happens tomorrow.”

“I will, Namjoon-ah,” Yoongi whispered. “Thank you.”

They hung up and Yoongi placed his phone back on the nightstand. He laid down again, staring at the ceiling deep in thought.

Hoseok came over for dinner a few times a week. They hardly ever ran out of conversation topics, but they could also sit in a comfortable silence. They just loved being around each other.

In college, Yoongi used to call Hoseok his energy booster, a battery. Whenever Yoongi was tired, exhaustion deep within his bones, Hoseok’s smile brightened him up again.

He was just so full of life, happiness, and all things good in the world.

Hoseok was his favorite person (other than Soobin, of course).

Yoongi also thought about how good Hoseok was with his son. They laughed together many times, which made Yoongi’s heart melt. They both enjoyed listening to music, in that whenever it was playing in the background, both of them would groove to the beat.

Yoongi loved how they played together and sometimes they would go on outings together as well. He loved it when the three of them went out on a walk around the neighborhood, spent time in the nearby coffee shop, or went shopping at the mall.

It was like they were a family.

And he loved that.

Yoongi’s eyes widened with realization.

The reason why Yoongi loved spending time with Hoseok and the reason why he loved that he got along with Soobin so well was because he loved Hoseok.

Oh.

Oh.

He was in love with Jung Hoseok.

If Namjoon were with him right now, he would slap his shoulder and call him an idiot.

He couldn’t believe it took him so long to realize it.

-

The next afternoon, he found himself bustling from one pan to another and chopped ingredients in a slight panic. Yoongi’s heart was beating rapidly in his chest and his stomach twisted into knots. He wiped the sweat from his hands on the kitchen towel resting on his shoulder as he quickly glanced at the clock.

Hoseok was going to knock on his door any minute.

He should've prepped earlier, but Soobin needed a bath after spilling applesauce all over himself. He thought it would be funny to pick up the plastic bowl and dump it on his head instead of putting the food in his mouth. His son was smiling, looking proud of himself afterwards. Yoongi snapped a quick picture trying to hide his own laughter as he sent it to Hoseok. He received a bunch of laughing emojis in return, which made him grin like an idiot in the bathroom mirror.

Silly, stupid Hoseok and Yoongi’s stupid feelings towards him.

That’s why he wanted this dinner to be perfect. He had been going back and forth all morning debating if he wanted to confess his feelings or if he should wait. When he told Namjoon, he did call him an idiot, and to “just do it already to end the torturous pining” and hang up on him without another word.

His son watched him with interest from his highchair nearby as he continued to stir the vegetables, rice, and meat. Hoseok’s favorite meal was coming together, but his kitchen looked like a disaster in the process.

He normally cleaned as he went along, but tonight he was such in a hurry that there were ingredients still sitting out on the counter and dirty utensils everywhere.

Hoseok would have a heart attack if he saw it.

Before he could even begin to clean something, the doorbell rang.

“Shit!” He accidentally cursed out loud and dropped the utensil he was using.

“Shit!” Soobin parroted and hit one of his tiny hands on the plastic tray. Yoongi groaned and smacked his head with his palm.

“That’s a bad word,” Yoongi told him and ran his fingers through the soft strands of his son’s hair. “Daddy’s sorry, Soobin-ah.”

“Seok-ah!” Soobin said instead and Yoongi hurried towards the door.

He opened it to see Hoseok’s smiling face and the tension slowly melted away. His heart fluttered in his chest as he ushered Hoseok inside.

“Is everything okay?” Hoseok asked, looking around the apartment. “I was about ready to use your spare key to let myself in.”

“You can always use that key, Seok-ah,” Yoongi told him and he felt his cheeks warm.

He momentarily forgot that he already gave Hoseok the spare to his apartment for emergencies when he first moved in, but now there was a part of his brain that wished it belonged to Hoseok for real. He wanted Hoseok to move in and be someone Yoongi would come home to every night.

“Shit!” Soobin shouted from his high chair. Yoongi face-palmed again and Hoseok gave him a disapproving look.

“It was an accident!” Yoongi told him, holding his arms up in surrender.. “It just slipped out when you rang the doorbell.”

Hoseok didn’t say anything in response and went to find Soobin. He could hear the cheers of “Seok-ah! Seok-ah! Seok-ah!” getting louder and louder along with Hoseok’s excited sound effects.

In fact, the longer that Yoongi thought about it, his son started to mirror some of Hoseok’s mannerisms. For example, Soobin clapped whenever he laughed really hard just like Hoseok. He was a very smiley, happy baby even as a newborn. Soobin’s cute and chubby cheeks reminded Yoongi of a squirrel, which was an old joke between him and Hoseok as well.

Then, Hoseok appeared back in the entryway with Soobin in his arms, who was grinning ear to ear. Yoongi couldn’t help but smile at the fact that his son was really happy to see Hoseok as much as he was.

The awkwardness from the night before completely melted away.

“Now Soobin-ah,” Hoseok said, poking his son’s belly and making him laugh. “Your daddy said a bad word and you shouldn’t repeat it anymore, okay?”

Yoongi attempted to hide his smile at Hoseok who was trying to be stern with Soobin, but he could see him slipping when Soobin looked at his best friend with his sad, round eyes.

“You have to promise me,” Hoseok said, holding out his pinky finger to Soobin. To Yoongi’s amazement, Soobin grasped it in his tiny grip. Hoseok flashed him with a proud smile.

Yoongi might as well be a puddle on the floor at that point because that was too damn adorable.

And then without thinking, Yoongi blurted out, “I love you.”

Hoseok whipped around so fast that Yoongi was worried he strained his neck. His eyes widened and he let out a small gasp.

Yoongi started babbling out an apology, his cheeks flush with embarrassment, but Hoseok shushed him by placing a finger in front of his lips.

His eyes were still full of warmth and kindness and there was a hint of a smile on his face. “We’ll talk about it when Soobin is asleep, yeah?”

Yoongi nodded and silently led them to the dining room, while he finished up plating the food in the kitchen. He could hear Hoseok play peek-a-boo with Soobin from the other room and he smiled.

They were going to be okay.

-

Dinner was a boisterous affair. Hoseok was constantly laughing at Yoongi’s dry humor and sarcasm while he was updating him on a boring work meeting he attended. Whenever Hoseok laughed, Soobin did too. It was so adorable and it made Yoongi feel warm inside.

Hoseok talked about his job too, working as a dance instructor. He taught a couple of hip-hop classes that morning and shared how well his students were doing. They had a recital coming up that Yoongi was looking forward to. The students were going to perform well, and Yoongi knew it because they had Hoseok as their teacher.

And was it just Yoongi, or did Hoseok seem almost…flirty?

Throughout dinner, in addition to laughing at Yoongi’s jokes, he rested his hand on his knee for a few seconds or rubbed his shoulder before quickly pulling away. Now, this wasn’t not normal, as Hoseok is a very tactile person with all of his friends, but there was a different energy to it.

It made Yoongi’s stomach flutter as if millions of butterflies were flying around in there.

He was slurping some noodles when all of a sudden Hoseok chuckled and looked at Soobin with a small smile. Yoongi scrunched his eyebrows.

“Soobin-ah,” Hoseok said softly, “your appa is such a messy eater.” Yoongi’s eyes widened and stopped chewing his food. He was not! He pointed the chopsticks at himself to make sure Hoseok was referring to him.

“Messy!” Soobin repeated, clapping his hands happily. Both adults laughed. Soobin was just too adorable for his own good.

“Cute,” Hoseok cooed. Then, he turned his attention back to Yoongi. He looked at him so fondly that it made Yoongi’s heart race in his chest. His best friend reached over and brushed his thumb against Yoongi’s upper lip. “Sorry, you had….” he trailed off, showing Yoongi the bit of sauce he wiped away. A light shade of pink dusted his cheeks.

Yoongi wanted to kiss him right then and there.

But he didn’t.

When all of the food was eaten and their bellies full, Hoseok offered to clean up, but Yoongi shook his head.

“You’re the guest,” he told him and gestured towards the living room. “Play with Soobin. It won’t take me long.”

“It will take less time with my help,” Hoseok insisted, batting his eyelashes. Yoongi sighed in defeat and accepted. He was weak when it came to Hoseok’s wishes.

They brought Soobin to the kitchen as well, so Yoongi could keep an eye on him.

Yoongi washed while Hoseok dried with a kitchen towel littered with cats, which was a gift from the man holding it. When he first opened it on his birthday, he made a show of how much he was annoyed by it, but in truth, he liked it. Hoseok used to tease him constantly about how much he looked or behaved like a cat and it became an inside joke of theirs.

He enjoyed their little moments like that.

All of a sudden, a splash of warm water landed on his cheeks, taking him out of his thoughts.

He turned to look at Hoseok, who was now wearing a playful expression on his face. He burst into giggles and attempted to flick him with water again, but Yoongi beat him to it. He ran his hand under the running faucet and laid it on Hoseok’s shoulder, soaking the bit of fabric there.

“You little-!”

“No cursing in front of my son,” Yoongi said, pointing at his child, who was watching them with a tiny smile on his face from his highchair. “Besides, you started it.”

Hoseok flicked water at him once more for good measure. Yoongi jokingly hissed at him.

“We have a cat in the kitchen all of a sudden, Soobin-ah,” Hoseok laughed and picked him up. Ignoring the other dishes that need to be dried, Hoseok danced around the kitchen, humming a random tune with Soobin in his arms.

That fluttering feeling appeared in Yoongi’s chest again. He secretly took out his phone and started recording. He wished there were moments like this every night and he would treasure this forever.

Hoseok was the perfect piece to the puzzle of their little family.

They made eye contact and Yoongi felt heat rise in his cheeks. His best friend gestured for him to join their tiny dance circle, but Yoongi shook his head. He slid his phone back in his pocket.

Hoseok pouted. “Please dance with us, hyung?” He asked. Somehow, Soobin wore a similar begging expression on his face.

Now how could he say no to that?

He let himself be pulled into Hoseok’s embrace, his arm wrapped around Yoongi’s waist. Yoongi rested his hand on Soobin’s back, which also happened to be right on top of Hoseok’s.

But he didn’t want to let himself think about that right then.

Yoongi was a blushing mess while Hoseok guided them around the kitchen as coordinated as he could with a tiny baby in his arms. He looked down at his feet most of the time to hide his face and to make sure he didn’t step on Hoseok’s toes. He wasn’t the best dancer and didn’t want to injure his friend in the process.

“Seok-ah! Seok-ah!” Soobin cheered, smiling and laughing the whole time they were dancing.

Hoseok laughed along with him and then Yoongi let himself be twirled as the grand finale. He felt unsteady on his feet, but luckily Hoseok grabbed his waist again before he fell on his ass.

“Careful, hyung.”

Yoongi opened his mouth to thank him, but the words died on his tongue. When they glanced into each other’s eyes, it felt like the world stopped spinning. Heart racing in his chest, he watched as Hoseok’s tongue peeked out, wetting his bottom lip.

Fuck, his pink lips were begging to be kissed. Yoongi wondered if they were as soft as they looked. They locked eyes once more and Yoongi subconsciously mirrored his movements. Hoseok’s eyes fluttered closed and leaned forwards. Yoongi followed suit and could feel his breath on his lips.

They were so close-

A tiny sneeze came from Hoseok’s arms. His eyes flew open and he took a step back. They both momentarily forgot that Soobin was there too. He did not want to have his first kiss with his crush in front of his son.

“Bless you,” Yoongi murmured and took Soobin from Hoseok, bouncing him on his hip. His son yawned. “Getting tired, Soobin-ah?” His child let out another big yawn.

Well that answered that question, Yoongi thought to himself.

“I’ll wait in the living room,” Hoseok said and left the kitchen. A blush was evident on his cheeks.

Yoongi sighed and looked at his son. “Let’s get you ready for bed, little one. You had a lot of excitement today.” Soobin nodded and rested his head on Yoongi’s shoulder. He inwardly cooed at how cute his son was.

He loved him so much.

Yoongi gently bathed him, humming the same tune Hoseok sang earlier. When he was done, he dried him with his soft towel and then put on a fresh diaper. He decided on a new pair of pajamas with little dinosaurs on them.

He carefully laid him down in his crib and kissed his forehead. Soobin yawned again and his eyes drifted closed.

“Goodnight, Soobin-ah,” Yoongi whispered, running his finger through his thin strands of hair. “I love you.” There was no response as Soobin’s breath began to even out.

He smiled fondly at his little bundle of joy for a few seconds longer before he grabbed the baby monitor and tiptoed towards the door. He turned on his nightlight before flipping the lightswitch off. He left the door open a crack and made his way back to the living room.

Hoseok was resting head in his hand, head bent low, and scrolling through his phone. When he heard Yoongi approach, he flashed him a smile that made the butterflies in his stomach return. He put his phone away and patted the spot next to him on the couch.

Yoongi sat down, but neither of them spoke for a few minutes. He fidgeted with the hem of his pants, not looking at his friend. It was kind-of awkward, which was unusual for them.

They spent plenty of time with each other before where they were doing other activities in silence. Hoseok had a stack of fashion magazines he left on Yoongi’s coffee table and would browse through those while Yoongi either read a book or completed a sudoku puzzle.

But this felt weird to him.

Yoongi’s mind reverted back to their almost-kiss in the kitchen and wondered if Hoseok wanted it as much as he did.

“Yoongi?” There was a hint of nervousness laced in Hoseok’s voice. “What was that back there?”

“We were about to kiss,” Yoongi responded, still not meeting his gaze.

He could hear Hoseok’s eye roll. “What I meant was-what did that mean for you?” Yoongi’s heart pounded in his chest and felt blood rushing in his ears. His mouth felt dry.

He cleared his throat before asking, “What did that mean for you?”

“I asked you first.”

“I asked you second.”

“That doesn’t-ugh-” Hoseok sounded exasperated. A small smile tugged on the corner of Yoongi’s lips. “Fine. I’m just going to say it and I hope that you’re not going to be mad at me.”

“Impossible,” Yoongi murmured, but Hoseok ignored him.

He took a deep breath. “I’ve liked you for a long time, probably when we first met all those years ago in college. You helped shy, freshman Hoseok feel more comfortable being away from home and helped him get out of his shell. I’m really glad that we became friends the day I knocked into you.”

“I’m glad too.”

He still remembered the bruise from literally being knocked over at the library from a scrawny, brown-haired boy who was almost ready to jump out his skin. The boy apologized profusely. Yoongi wanted to cuss him out, but there was something about Hoseok that made him want to take care of him instead.

“Hyung, I really like you,” Hoseok whispered. “Actually-I’m in love with you.”

Yoongi snapped his head up to meet his gaze. His heart raced faster in his chest.

“Seok-ah,” Yoongi said softly, “I love you, too.”

A blinding smile bloomed across Hoseok’s face, showing off his dimples. His beautiful brown eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.

Yoongi cupped Hoseok’s cheek and admired the gorgeous man in front of him. He lightly ran his thumb over a couple freckles and felt the urge to kiss the cute little mole on his top lip. “Seok-ah?”

“Yeah?”

“I’d really like to kiss you now.”

Without another word, Hoseok slammed their lips together. Fireworks exploded in his head. Hoseok’s lips were warm and soft and felt so good against Yoongi’s. He didn’t want this feeling to end and let out a tiny whine when Hoseok started to draw away.

Yoongi wrapped an arm around his waist to pull him closer instead. He felt Hoseok giggle against his lips and continued kissing him. He rested one of his hands on Yoongi’s neck and deepened the kiss. Yoongi’s stomach fluttered and he felt slightly lightheaded.

“Fuck,” Hoseok breathed out when they broke away for air. “You’re an amazing kisser. Why didn’t we do this before?”

“Because we were both idiots,” Yoongi responded. “To be honest, I only just realized that I was in love with you. When Soobin’s first word was your name, it really opened my eyes. I’m sorry for making you wait so long.”

“Don’t apologize for that,” Hoseok answered immediately. “I would’ve waited a lifetime for you.”

“So would I.” Hsoeok wrapped an arm around Yoongi’s shoulder and pulled him close. Yoongi savored the warmth of his embrace and breathed in the familiar smell of Hoseok’s cologne.

“I’m sorry that Soobin’s first word was my name,” Hoseok admitted. Yoongi gently slapped his knee in protest.

“I’m not. You’re a huge part of his life and he loves you,” Yoongi said. “I was surprised at first, but it made sense after I thought about it.”

“I love him, too.”

“Would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend and continue to be in Soobin’s life?” Yoongi asked.

Hoseok chuckled. “That sounded more like a marriage proposal.”

Yoongi’s heart fluttered in his chest at the idea. “Maybe in a few years.”

“I like the sound of that.”
