Coby dies at the hands of his own fleet admiral, unable to fulfill his promise to protect those he swore to defend. And, as he lies dying, he wonders when his dream changed from becoming a marine to destroying them.
And he realizes it has something to do with finding out that there really is no justice in the world. That you have to make your own Justice. And that marines don't.
(Not with the World Government commandeering their every move.)
