Years have passed since Sun separated Proto and Theia, and they are no longer allowed to see each other. Both of them had a terrible time. Theia is angry because she listened to Venus. He had suggested this idea. Then she realized that he did it to separate her and Proto... Out of jealousy
Venus felt guilty for separating Theia from the planet she loved. Proto gave her joy that he could never give her. When Venus tried to apologize to Theia for his mistakes, she rejected him and simply said that she wasn't angry with him, but that she could no longer trust him. Venus knew right away that he deserved it. He wanted Theia for himself, but everything he did backfired and caused her and Proto to fall in love. Theia only saw Venus as a friend... Nothing more
Proto was also doing badly. He could only think of Theia, his beloved. He thought about the moments with her, how they had had a rocky start and didn't like each other at first, but then became friends, fell in love over time, and finally confessed their love for each other. For Proto, it was the most beautiful moment of his life, but Sun had to destroy that moment. He knew that Theia's idea of becoming a double planet with him was a bad idea and that Sun wouldn't like it... And in the end, he was right, but he loves Theia too much to blame her now... Besides, it doesn't matter anyway, because he can't see her anymore, and for that he hates Sun
Mars, Proto's best friend, who was like a brother to him, could only look at him sadly. He had tried to talk to him, to play asteroid dodgeball with him... He did everything he could to cheer Proto up, but it didn't work. He was suffering from heartbreak. When he spoke to Jupiter to seek advice on how to help Proto, he knew what he had to do... At least, he thought he did
Mars returned to Proto to support him
"Hey, dude." He greeted his best friend
Proto just looked at him in dismay. "Hey, Mars. I… I don’t feel like playing asteroid dodgeball right now."
"I know. I… want to talk to you about Theia." Said Mars
Proto turned away because he knew where this was going. He didn't want to talk about it because he was still heartbroken
"Ugh, please, now it’s not the best…"
"You should fight for her." Mars interrupted
"What?" Proto asked surprised
"I don’t really know what you’re feeling, but I know it means the universe to you, so… fight for her. I mean, I do miss playing asteroid dodgeball with my best friend, but… (sighs) this is bigger than me, dude." Mars replied, determined
“Mars...” Proto didn't know what to say at that moment. "I want to be with Theia, but the Sun won’t allow us to even get close to…" That's all he could say
"Bro, who cares? Just follow your gut like you used to! Don’t think, act!" Mars pointed this out to him
"I’m confused."
"Then you’re doing it right."
Proto and Mars started laughing. How long had it been since Proto last laughed? But he didn't care at that moment. He was happy to have Mars as his best friend, who was also like a brother to him. Their laughter was interrupted when they heard someone calling
"PROTO!!!"
When Proto and Mars turned toward the direction of the voice, they were astonished. It was Theia, rushing toward them at tremendous speed. Proto's core leaped for joy. Theia, his great love, was here. He didn't know how she got there, but he didn't really care
"Theia!!" He called back. He wanted to go to Theia, but first he turned back to Mars once more. "We’ll play asteroid dodgeball again, Mars. I promise you." And then he left
"Go get the girl, dude." Mars just said
Proto rushed towards Theia. Inwardly, his thoughts had briefly turned to Mars. He should have kept his promise to him, because he knew this would be the last time he would see him. But his love for Theia was too great, and without thinking twice, he flew toward her. This time, Sun would not stop them, no matter what
Sun was distracted at that moment by Neptune, who introduced Triton as his moon. However, Triton is a dwarf planet that was captured by Neptune's gravity and destroyed his previous moons. Neptune tried to lie to Sun on Uranus' advice because he was afraid that Sun would punish him or Triton if he told her the truth
While Sun looked suspiciously at Neptune as he introduced Triton, he noticed that Theia was not in her orbit. When he found her, he saw that she was rushing towards Proto, and he towards her. He became angry because the two disobeyed his orders
"What do you think you are doing?! Don’t you dare! Go back to your orbits! Hey! Stop! HEEEEY!!" Sun yelled at them, but they paid no attention to him
When Proto and Theia finally reached each other, they spun around in circles. It looked as if they were dancing
"I’ve missed you, Theia." Proto exclaimed joyfully when he finally got his Theia back
"I’ve missed you too, Proto. Sorry if I ruined everything. You were right." She replied sadly
"Hey, it’s not your fault. I think this is how things were meant to happen." He assured her
"So… you had the same dream as I?" She asked Proto
"Yes. I know what we must do." He replied
"Me too, but… you know what this means?" Theia said this because she knew what was about to happen
"Yeah. It’s all clear now." Proto said decidedly
"And you’re not… afraid?" She asked worriedly
"No, because I’ll do it with you." He replied loveingly. At that moment, he didn't care what happened to him and Theia, as long as the two of them were together
As the two continued to circle each other, Sun continued to yell at them
"Theia!! Proto-Earth!! Stop right this instant!!" He screamed and sent out a gravitational wave to separate the two
"This is how we do it. This was the missing piece."
"This is how we bring life to the universe. You and me. Together."
"I love you, Proto."
"I love you too, Theia."
Proto and Theia grew closer and closer and wanted to kiss and fulfill their destiny. Before the two could kiss and collide with each other, lightning bolts came out of nowhere between them. Proto and Theia were surprised and quickly separated from each other
“W-what was that!?” Theia asked in shock
“I-I don't know!” replied Proto, who himself doesn't know what that was just now
The thunderbolts came again, this time more numerous and more extreme, and at that moment something opened up between the two of them. A hole... And not just any hole... A wormhole
Before Proto and Theia could say anything, the wormhole suddenly began to pull them in. They tried to escape, but the wormhole's pull was too strong. And a second later, Proto and Theia were sucked into the wormhole. After the two were sucked in, the wormhole closed again
Mars and Venus had closed their eyes because the wormhole had emitted a bright light. After the light faded, they saw that Proto and Theia were no longer there. They had disappeared
“THEIA!!!” screamed Venus
"PROTO!!!" Mars also screamed. Neither of them could believe that their friends had just suddenly disappeared
Sun was just there, full of rage. “So... They decide to disobey my orders and then just disappear!?” Sun was so furious that he almost emitted steam from his hot surface. "THEIA!!! PROTO-EARTH!!! I SWEAR TO YOU!!! IF I EVER SEE YOU AGAIN, YOU WILL REGRET IT BITTERLY!!! YOU WILL BE PUNISHED SO SEVERELY THAT YOU WILL BEG ME FOR MERCY AND FORGIVENESS!!!" He just yelled
Mercury, who was next to Sun, just chewed nervously. At that moment, it was better not to argue with Sun
Meanwhile, Proto and Theia are flying inside the wormhole. They are being thrown around wildly and screaming in fear
“Proto! Help me!” Theia cried desperately
"Hold on, Theia!" He replied and tried to reach her. The force of the wormhole is too great to fight against. Proto and Theia continue to be thrown around. But after a while, it calms down. Enough for Proto to regain his balance. He tried again to reach Theia. Even though the wormhole had calmed down somewhat, its power was still strong. With great effort, Proto managed to reach Theia and embraced her to protect her
“Proto...” said Theia fearfully
“Don't worry, Theia. I've got you.” Proto assured
Proto rubbed Theia's back with his hand to calm her down. After a while, she was able to calm down because she knew she was safe with Proto
"Where are we?" She asked
“I don't know. I wanted to kiss you, and suddenly a hole opened up between us and we were sucked in.” Proto replied
“Was that a black hole?”
“No, I don't think so. Whatever it was, it led us somewhere, but I don't know where.”
“Proto... Neither you nor I know what will happen to us now, but please... Don't let go of me.” said Theia, almost in tears, as she hugged Proto tighter
“Don't worry, Theia. I promise you that I will never let you go. I will never be separated from you again. No matter what happens.” Proto assured her and hugged her tightly too
Theia was happy. Whatever happens now, at least she has Proto, her love, with her. Both flew deeper and deeper through the wormhole until they were swallowed up by the light at the end
Where the wormhole lets them out should change their lives forever
