Work Text:
Eric van der Woodsen was used to being the 3rd wheel when it came to being best friends with Jenny Humphrey. He’s supportive of her and her questionable decisions as a married woman to have an affair with a guy Eric's known for years has also had relations with his sister and his sister’s girlfriend and his sisters best friend, and he’s now with his best friend whose also his step sister. Eric had a hard time keeping track of who dated who because pretty much everyone dated each other at one point.
Him and Jenny are two peas in a pod that hang out every other day and he gets updates every now and then about her marriage with Damien and everything going on with Nate. She says the best part of being with Nate wasn’t the sex, they truly enjoyed each other’s company and had fun and be silly and do anything at all. Yes, Eric did get kind of annoyed but also not really because Jenny doesn’t always bring Nate up every time they hang out. Plus, she was happy and the last time he saw her with a genuine smile on her face was a while ago.
One day, while living with Jenny, Serena, and Vanessa, Eric had to wake up to Jenny informing of the death of Damien’s father (and trying to hide the fact this was the good news for her but she didn’t wanna speak ill of the dead. She had manners). And that also meant her and Damien’s need to stay married to please his father was null and void, so he was coming into town.
Eric had met Damien and few times, with one being that he was the only one attending their wedding when Jenny and Damien decided to elope. After that, he didn’t see the Dalgaard that much up until Jenny and Nate started their affair and the recent divorce proceedings started once Damien’s father had passed (which was almost immediately, they did not waste any time). Eric always thought Damien was kind of a sleaze but still weirdly genuine enough to be okay with his wife to be screwing other people. Surprising to Eric that he was a chill dude and they’ve hung out a few times, had some fun to the point where Eric weirdly had a crush on him.
And he admits it’s weird crushing on his step sisters husband she married out benefits for both of them and has been kind of cheating on him with his permission. Eric thinks this entire thing is weird and he tries to step as far away as possible because that was none of his business.
So Jenny and Nate were going out for the night which left Eric with Serena because Vanessa was out hanging with Dan. Serena is pacing back and forth through the living room as Eric is on the couch watching her, “Serena, what is going on?”
His sister stops in her steps and turns to face him, “So, uh… You know Vanessa and I have been dating a while.”
“I know.” Eric deadpans, “I was there when you first announced it and was kind of glad I wasn’t the only gay sibling."
“Ha, ha.” Serena playfully rolled her eyes, “Like, it’s been a few years and we’ve been living together for a while. And, the other night, I was out to dinner with mom, Dan and Rufus, mom mentioned marriage. And she was talking about how Dan and Blair are getting married and have a baby on the way. And was wondering if I was gonna propose to Vanessa anytime soon so that she’d plan the wedding. And like, I know she wasn’t trying to be rude and pushy and all that, she tries. But marriage just seems so… I don’t know. I love V, I do, but why must I need a marriage certificate to prove I can take this relationship seriously? I mean, moved in to Brooklyn to be with her. Isn’t that enough?”
Eric just let out the loudest sigh, “Technically, you moved in because of an ongoing bet you made with Blair a while back about who could live in Brooklyn the longest. Though there were a lot of occasions of Blair quitting, especially with a baby on the way.”
Serena had just shrugged, “It’s easy for me because I don’t overthink like Blair does. Plus, I’ve learned a few things that’s been quite humbling. While everytime I go and visit Dan and Blair, Blair is on the verge of cracking, but she hates losing so she sucks it up.”
And then, Eric then asked, “Also… has Vanessa mentioned marriage?”
“Not in so many words, no. I don’t see her as the type to get married. And I don’t know what I want.”
“Serena, the problem to why your past relationships didn’t work out, minus the fact you weren’t attracted to them, was that you kept stuff to yourself and continuously try and avoid potential confrontation and live in Happy Sunshine Land where nothing wrong happens. That’s mainly why it never worked with Dan or Nate. And now, you’re with someone once finally coming out and its been going well. So don’t screw it up because you’re afraid of The Marriage Talk.” Eric usually had to be the one with the common sense when the rest of his siblings were being idiots, yes Dan and Jenny were included. He was usually the voice of reason.
Another day, Eric is hanging with Dan and Blair at their and Nate's apartment while Nate was out. Dan was turning Bridezilla with the wedding which was encouraged by Blair, who was now six months into her pregnancy. She couldn’t do any possible heavy lifting so she had Dan do it for her.
“Humphrey, I’m pregnant, not fragile.”
“I am taking necessary precautions.” Dan retorts, “And necessary precautions are necessary.”
Blair rolls her eyes at her fiancé, “You just want to prove to Nate you don’t need his help carrying stuff.” And then she takes a bite of a macaroon from the box Dorota had sent her from the Waldorf penthouse. Dan then says, “Blair, I can handle it.” And that crashed and burned instantly when Dan ended up dropping a bunch of glass plates, shattering on impact. Eric couldn’t hold in his laughter anymore and Dan glared at him, “Haha, very funny.”
“I’m calling Nate.” Blair says, heading to the bedroom.
“You do that.” Dan let’s out a frustrated sigh. He then looks to Eric, “You could’ve helped.”
“I could. But watching you being a disaster was just much more entertaining.”
Dan and Blair have an engagement party coming up this weekend and well, Dan was lucky enough to be semi related to a cater waiter in Eric and Serena’s half sister/cousin, Lola. She wasn’t too heavily estranged from the family despite not really wanting any money from them out of pity or nepotism. It took her and Serena a while to find solid ground and get along with one another (Lola also even helped Serena with her and Vanessa’s one year anniversary that Serena was conspiring with Nate to surprise Vanessa about it which Eric didn’t know the details about it but how everything went well by the end anyways). Plus, Serena was used to finding out she had secret half siblings from each parent. Her half brother, Scott that was Lily and Rufus’ long lost son that in old Lily fashion, had hid from everyone else she knew.
Serena doesn’t hang out with Scott often (he spends more time with Dan, Jenny and Eric anyway), but when she does, he’s very fun to be around. It’s kind of weird sometimes because he used to date Vanessa a long time ago before Serena found out he was her brother that she shared with her ex boyfriend. Though after a point, the weirdness had subsided and they were able to talk. Similarly happened with Lola because she used to date Nate long ago (yet again, Nate dated practically every girl he made connections with, he was a serial monogamous), but they managed to move past it.
Plus, it wasn’t the first time Serena had befriended one of Nate’s exes, like Raina Thorpe who was very and sweet and awesome, and sometimes was too good for Nate. And as well as Lola’s friend from when they were doing theater together, Ivy Dickens who was nice, but kept to herself. And Serena could’ve sworn that Lola and Ivy were dating, but maybe it was projection because it wouldn’t have been the first time two of Nate’s exes got very close and started dating each other.
Eric kind of knew all of this, he knew a lot of stuff anyways and was one of the very few people Serena was able to confide in. And it was honestly entertaining because it wasn’t his love life, thank God.
When the engagement party came around, Eric kept to himself other than Jenny and Lola, with the latter being easygoing to talk to despite her currently working. Whilst with Jenny, Eric can practically read her mind because they both know each other so well, “Thinking about Nate?”
“What?” she snapped out of her daydreaming to look at him.
“Jen, if you wanna pull him somewhere for a quickie, no one’s stopping you. Just make sure Dan doesn’t see before Nate gets castrated.” And Jenny glares at Eric for even assuming that she wanted to get laid, “Hey, I’m just saying. I know you. I know how you think. So, go! Have fun!” he playfully swats her out of her seat. And just as she leaves, he immediately regrets it as Damien starts walking over towards him, “Wait, Jenny- dammit.” He takes in a deep breath before looking at Damien, “Why the hell are you here? Were you even invited?”
“Dan was easy to persuade especially under the stress he’s been under. Plus, I never actually hurt Jenny during our marriage in anyway, so what reason does he have to make sure I wouldn’t be invited?”
Eric sighs, “Maybe because looking at you makes me feel a little sick inside but just existing in my presence.” And the Van der Woodsen takes a sip of his drink. Damien takes a seat next to him with a smirk on his face, “Thought we were having fun before?”
“I hung out with you because I pitied you, especially now since you’re going through your divorce.” Eric shrugs. It wasn’t the truth but last thing he wanted was to give Damien satisfaction by being intimidated by him. Damien just sighed, “Well, I found our time together to be quite amusing and entertaining as Jenny is banging Archibald as we go through the divorce proceedings. If she can have her fun with the Ken Doll, I can have my own.”
And then, Eric was hoping and praying for a miracle to happen so that this conversation can end. And Lola, the godsend she is approached them with her tray, “You guys want anything?” she quickly glances over at Eric and he immediately jumped to excuse himself to leave with her help.
Once they were away, Eric thanked her and she just responded, “It’s no problem. You looked like you wanted out and I thought I’d be Supergirl to the rescue.” She then changed the subject, “Who is that guy anyway?”
“Jenny’s soon to be ex husband, Damien.”
“He looks like a dick.”
“He is. A hot one though, don’t tell him I said that. Don’t wanna feed his ego.”
Lola playfully zips her lips, “Your secret is safe with me. Trust me, I had a couple of flings with some bad boys when I was attending Julliard. I don’t judge.” Then her phone beeped, pulling it up to see a message that made her smile wide, “It’s Ivy.”
“Don’t mind me.” Eric let her go on her merry way. He then looked to the far left corner of his eye to see Jenny and Nate exiting the women’s restroom and Eric just playfully rolled his eyes as he approached Jenny with his arms crossed, “Feeling better?”
She pointed her finger at his chest “You told me to go for it.”
“Which, I regretted the moment you walked away because then Damien wanted to talk.”
The blonde groaned, “God, what now?”
He shrugged, “Don’t know if he was trying to flirt or do some power play thing.”
“Maybe both.” Jenny suggested, “Look, I’ve known Damien a long time, and he acted like that when we first met. And then we started hooking up and then you know the rest, you were the only other person there when we eloped in Las Vegas of all places with an Elvis Impersonator officiating.” Eric remembered that day very clearly. Right after the ceremony, that same Impersonator started doing a cover of “Love Me” which was considered one of the most unserious nights of Eric van der Woodsen’s life.
“That Impersonator made my night that year.” The brunette chuckled, “If you and Nate decide to get married, I hope it will be ten times better than the last one.”
Jenny just said, “I mean. I am currently going through a divorce, must I really be thinking about another legal commitment to another guy so soon? Plus, even if I was, I don’t know if Nate even wants to get married. Having to unlearn everything his family taught him might change his perspective on marriage.”
This was the second time in the past week Eric has had a talk with a couple when it comes to whether or not they wanna get married. He might be the most rational one out of everyone alongside Vanessa, but he also really was not interested in being everyone’s couple therapists, it was bad enough with Dan before him and Blair got together and he was acting like a lovesick puppy that Eric found amusement in at first but it got tiring when Dan wasn’t doing anything about it.
And all Eric replies with is, “Talk about it when you’re ready. You guys haven’t been officially together that long. Take three steps back before doing a big leap, okay?”
“Okay.”
“That’s my best friend.” He smiles before hugging her. Her hugs were always comforting towards Eric. There was just this raw and realness to it to show that she truly cares about him. And he was really glad he found Jenny Humphrey to be his platonic life partner, even if they met because their parents got married, they still managed to create this bond to prove that whoever else comes and goes in their lives, they’ll always have each other.
Dan Humphrey was practically a disaster at his own engagement party, just like he was at the baby shower him and Blair threw over a month ago. It was just a lot to handle. And he was usually a cool and collective guy that was able to handle anything that was thrown at him. It’s just that this time, it felt incredibly different.
Nate had approached him to check up on him, “Hey, dude. Do you want me to get you a drink? I can call over Lola to help.”
Dan shakes his head, “Man, I’m good. It’s just jitters.” Him and Nate were doing well when Nate started dating Jenny before the divorce proceedings even started. He wasn’t really thrilled about that, Blair jokingly said at the time they found out was that Dan was jealous Jenny got to hook up with Nate before Dan could, which Dan denied almost immediately, and Blair was like ‘Sure, whatever you say, Humphrey’
Nate then asked, “I just need to ask-“
“Dude, I’m fine.” Dan cuts him off, “With myself. With this part. With Blair and the baby. With Jenny doing whatever Jenny does.”
“You’re not still upset about me hooking up with your sister, right?” Nate clenches his teeth in nervousness. He always wanted to make sure Dan was totally cool with it because he knows Dan can lie and shrug things off and pretend it’s okay when it’s really not.
“Nate, for the umpteenth time, it is at most, just slightly awkward. I’m not mad anymore. My sister is an adult and if she wants to spend the rest of her days with you, then, who am I to stop her anyways.” He look directly at Nate, “But if you do break her heart, I will break your nose, okay?” and Dan gave a small yet intimidating smile to Nate and the Archibald just slowly backed away.
He then walked over to Blair and gently touched her shoulders from behind, “Everything okay?”
“I’m doing just fine.” Blair deadpans, “Meanwhile you are acting like you’re the one whose pregnant and is close to flying off the handle.”
“And there’s the Blair I know and love.”
She couldn’t help but smile mischievously, “And she’s never left, Humphrey. She’s just sometimes a little more affectionate than usual.”
“A little?”
“Shut up.” She playfully rolls her eyes.
And right before Dan goes in to kiss her, they are interrupted by a third person behind him clearing their throat, “This is just adorable.” And Dan can sense the sarcasm from the voice immediately. Turning around to see Georgina Sparks in all her glory, “Last time, I checked, I didn’t invite you.”
“Me neither.” Blair had added.
Georgina couldn’t help but smirk, “Well, you know what they say: It’s not a party til someone crashes it.” And she grabs a drink from an oncoming waiter passing by and taking a sip, “And as baby mama number one, I thought I’d pop by and say hi. And before you ask, yes, Milo is going to visit you.”
“Good to know.” Dan replied. Before he and Blair got together, he had his own situationship with Georgina while in college (so who was he to judge Jenny for her questionable decisions with Nate, Agnes, and Damien) and knocked her up. For a while, he was wondering if the kid was even his because Georgina is a master at lying. But a DNA test proved it and he was a dad, and once he met Milo, he fell in love instantly. He loved being a dad, though he couldn’t be as active in Milo’s life as much as he wanted to be because Georgina is Georgina, and she does what she wants. But she is surprisingly not entirely heartless and has Milo visit Dan every so often.
The Sparks had then asked, “So, where’s Serena? I was hoping to see her and Vanessa while crashing.” Dan couldn’t help but sigh. He knows that Georgina had a longtime obsession with Serena and was occasionally enamored with Vanessa. And it honestly wasn’t any of Dan’s business, “Georgina, just leave them alone.”
“But it’s fun!”
“To you.”
Jenny then passes by and Georgina calls out to her, “Little Humphrey. What a delight.” And Jenny turns to look at Georgina with a very blank expression. The blonde then put on a fake smile, “Georgina. Ruined anyone’s lives yet, or just my brothers?”
“The nights still young.” And she had walked away. Jenny looked over at Dan, “I can’t believe you used to sleep with her.”
“I could say the same about Agnes.”
“Shut up.” She scoffs before turning away.
Dan then decided to take a long chug of champagne to calm his nerves, “This is going to be a long night.”
“Yeah, pretty much.” Blair casually nods in agreement, “But, we’re a team. And we can handle it.”
“I hope so. Hopefully Georgina doesn’t scare anyone off before the night is over.” He then takes another sip.
Scott then approached the both of them, “Hey man, congrats on the engagement.” And they had given each other a high five which Dan wasn’t really used to it but it was fine, “Sorry I haven’t been around often. This new job I got has been stressing me out, I haven’t found the time to come to the city. But I RSVP’d to your wedding as early as possible so I’m definitely going to be there. As for the baby, I’m not too sure but I will see what I can do.”
“No worries.” Dan pats his brother’s shoulder, “I’m just glad you made some time now. It’s been hectic so, you should be relieved you’re not here for any of it.”
“Yeah, I heard that Jenny’s getting a divorce. I mean, I didn’t even know she was even married to begin with but that’s a whole other thing.” Scott looked curious, “And apparently she’s hooking up with your roommate who I could’ve sworn was your boyfriend. Or did I miscalculate that the last time I visited?”
Blair couldn’t help but let out a laugh before she interjects, “Humphrey secretly wishes. He can deny it all he wants. And as his fiancée who used to date Nate, I don’t particularly mind anyways. It’s adorable.” And Dan was practically turning red at her statement before drinking more champagne.
“Yeah, since I walked in, I heard a bunch of things from everyone the first five minutes.” Scott slightly shifted the subject, “Don’t know if it’s all true or false but wow.”
“Like I said, be glad you aren’t around as much.”
Scott then looks over to the other side of the room to see Rufus and Lily and excuses himself, “I’m gonna go say Hi to them, they’d be wondering how I’m doing.”
“You do that.”
The rest of the night was fine, considering. A few minor mishaps but nothing damaging which was a relief. Dan was now back home and in bed with Blair laying next to him and was about to succumb to the sweet bliss of sleep until noises from Nate’s room that he could guess immediately of what it was and the Humphrey hit his fist against the wall, but to no avail, they did not get quieter. At this point, Dan is really considering telling Nate to get his own place to fool around with Jenny because Dan was exhausted and he has heard things that he did not want to hear.
So now he decided to go for a walk for the next two hours and Blair decided to come with him. He didn’t even tall out the comment she made under her breath about Jenny getting more action than her in recent times. As much as Dan would like to poke fun, he just wanted to spend time with his fiancée in peace and quiet. Up until they entered a 24 hour diner where Dan spent the next 15 minutes downing cups of coffee that Blair had to physically restrained him from anymore.
So then they went to Serena and Vanessa’s place and it was usually a fun time with them. There was a time where things were just the four of them, even if Blair and Vanessa weren’t particularly fond of each other. It was kind of funny that Dan and Serena used to date (and are now step siblings) and are now with each other’s childhood best friends. There is just some irony to that which Dan found amusing.
Blair and Serena were talking in Serena’s room while Dan and Vanessa were sitting at the dining room table, “It’s just. I don’t know. With everything going on my life. Sleep is the one of the very few things I can have to shut my brain off other than writing. Now, I can’t even have that without hearing Nate and my sister going at it in the next room. It was tolerable when it was with girls like Lola, Raina, Ivy, even Serena. Now, he’s with my sister, it’s so much worse.”
Vanessa couldn’t help but laugh, “I mean, Jenny is probably as stressed as you are. She is currently going through a divorce and probably needs as much distraction as she needs. And as someone who had been with Nate for a good amount of time, I can attest that he is a good distraction.”
“Gross.” Dan slightly gags, “Did not need to hear that.”
The Abrams just casually throws up her hands, “I’m just saying, Humphrey. It’s the honeymoon phase, it’ll wear off eventually and things won’t be as awkward.” Then she slightly shifts the subject, “Maybe you also need to get laid and de-stress. If that doesn’t work, write another book.”
Dan couldn’t help but groan, “I mean, I’ve tried. For both. For the former, Blair is very hot and cold in the bedroom, and I don’t wanna force her to do anything she’s not comfortable with during this time. For the latter, I have no inspiration and motivation, my mind is deep in a garbage disposal that I can’t think.”
“Have you talked to Georgina about it?” Vanessa suggested. Georgina was quite the help with Dan’s first book. She managed to motivate him by yelling which sometimes worked, surprisingly. Dan just shut his eyes and groaned, “It’s not like we talk about that every time she brings Milo. She asks her usually questions and then takes off.”
“Doesn’t hurt to try. It would be a perfect distraction.”
“Probably.” He shrugs, “For now, can Blair and I just stay here for the night? ‘Cause I’m not ready to go back and face the music.”
Vanessa gently patted Dan on the shoulder, “No worries. You can stay as long as you want. You’re my best friend, and I will always help. While also lightly making fun of you and humbling you because that is my obligation as your best friend.”
“Thanks.”
With Serena, she has to deal with her best friend being very much herself Serena can handle Blair at her worst as much as Dan can but Jesus, it has upped the past few months with the pregnancy. And now Blair is pacing back in forth with Serena laying on the bed, staying at her with a blank expression, “I mean, does Gothic Barbie have no respect for the household. It is not even her house. I do not need to wake up in the middle of the night to hear that. It sucked enough when you were with Nate. The boy is incapable of 1. Being single and 2. Not finding somewhere else to stay. Like there are other people living here! And I’m still trying to adjust to living somewhere I would consider below me. But since you are so cozy and comfy here and I don’t like losing, I’m sucking it up. I even suggested to Humphrey we could go to the Waldorf Penthouse for the night. Much more room and less moaning and groaning. But Dan insists that we come here. Not that I don’t enjoy your company, S. You just could just be living somewhere better.”
Serena had only caught on to most of what Blair said and sighed, “B. I like it here. As long as I’m living somewhere far away from any paparazzi and where I can have space to myself, I can enjoy it. You can literally quit at anytime and go back home. I’m sure Dorota misses you.”
Blair lets out a small whine, “But I don’t like losing.”
“At this point, the bet feels like it’s over. And if not, then I say it is now over. Happy now?”
“It’s not satisfying though.” The Waldorf pouted, crossing her arms, “I just want to be able to sleep. It’s bad enough I already have to wake up in the middle of the night because of the baby.”
“Tell Nate to get his own place.” Serena blatantly said, like it was the most obvious thing ever. Blair just sighed, “Don’t you think I’ve tried. I’ve explained to Dan that Nate needs to find his own place but Dan is like, ‘But he needs us’ or him saying ‘I’ll take care of it’ and it never happens. I just don’t know what to do.” And she sat on the edge of the bed before she laid her head on Serena’s lap.
“You’re Blair Waldorf, you’ll figure it out.”
Next morning, Dan and Blair had left right before noon. And Vanessa was drinking her coffee, Serena wrapped her arms around her girlfriend from behind kissing the temple of her forehead, “Feeling okay?”
“I mean. Having to wake up to Blair was not what I was expecting but hey! I try.”
Serena couldn’t help but smile, “Which is great! Because you’re you and she’s Blair and you guys butt heads every so often since you’re both so stubborn. But you both have managed to find solid common ground and it makes both Dan and I so glad you guys are getting somewhere.” The blonde then places her chin on Vanessa’s shoulder, “Though I’m glad you’re trying.”
“As long as she isn’t saying anything classist anymore, I can tolerate her presence.”
“Dan has rubbed off on her a lot.”
The Abrams let out a chuckle, “In more ways than one. She’s actually becoming a decent human being.” And Serena couldn’t help but laugh. She then proceeds to say, “True. I’ve known her my whole life and I’ve seen the worst parts of her and I love her regardless but… It’s nice seeing this new side of her these past few years Being with Dan is humbling.”
“You know from experience.”
“That I do.” The Van der Woodsen pulls away and says, “So, should we have some pierogis and watch a bunch of movies?”
Vanessa nodded as she gave her girlfriend a quick kiss, “It’s like you read my mind.”
Serena liked being with Vanessa these past couple years. Yeah, it was kind of weird at first since they both dated Nate but there was still some sort of familiarity. And that they have best friends that are in love with each other so they had to see each more often. Which, Serena didn’t mind, being with Vanessa was like being with a female Dan but also not, since Vanessa was her own person separate from him. She was quite the movie buff and made Serena watch a bunch of old movies she hadn’t seen. And of course, Serena wasn’t entirely uncultured in the film genre, her best friend was Blair Waldorf, after all. But there was a difference with experiencing certain films depending on who you’re watching it with.
The pierogis weren’t that bad either. When Vanessa was dating Nate, he couldn’t shut up about them and a bunch of other foods he hadn’t tried, so by instinct Serena was curious that she did kind of third wheel one of their dates. It wasn’t particularly a big deal in Serena’s case and Nate and Vanessa didn’t seem to mind either.
So now, Serena has expanded her taste buds thanks to her wonderful and beautiful girlfriend’s encouragement because she was open to trying new things. And what the blonde has learned from her previous failed relationships was to simply not repeat those mistakes. It was easier said then done sometimes but after some learning, Serena was able to pull it off.
As they were watching a movie, Eric had walked in and sat down on the recliner right next to the sofa, “I did something stupid last night.”
“And I thought I was the sibling who tends to do stupid things.” Serena playfully jokes before focusing her attention on Eric, “What did you do?”
“I slept with Damien.”
And in that moment Vanessa who was snuggled up next to Serena had spit out her drink, “Let’s reverse that for a moment, because I could’ve sworn you said you slept with Damien.” The Abrams was not particularly fond of him the moment she heard from Dan that Jenny eloped with the guy, and she was just as protective of Jenny’s well being as Dan was. Serena rubbed her eyes in frustration, “Well, that’s just great.”
“I know, it’s stupid.” Eric spoke, “I mean, I’ve been going through a breakup this week and I was drinking and Damien was there. And let’s just say he’s a good distraction.” And the boy looks up at the ceiling.
“We’ve had a share of bad decision making.” Serena tries to comfort her brother, “I mean, I slept with Nate when he was with Blair. I participated in many affairs. I slept with Georgina, it was just a mess.”
“I don’t judge. At least not too harshly anyways.” Vanessa adds, “I had a threesome with Dan and his movie star girlfriend in college. And then she dumped him and got with me instead and that lasted a solid 6 months.”
Serena then says, “And it’s not like you’re betraying Jenny by sleeping with her husband when she’s been cheating already. You’re not a horrible person, Eric, you do dumb things and make mistakes like every other human.”
Eric playfully scoffs at his sister, “Yeah, but I’m the normal one compared to all of you.”
“Fair point.”
