After thinking about it, I feel it would be really interesting if Kishiyu swapped bodies.
If they usually sleep separately at the cavalry headquarters, Yuder would wake up and find the ceiling oddly familiar—maybe his heart would skip a beat, thinking he’d either dreamed of his past life again or worrying that everything since his rebirth was just a dream. Then, sitting up, he’d notice something off about his body—his perspective had suddenly risen by 16 cm. After realizing he was actually in Kishi’s body, he might not resist touching his face a dozen extra times while looking in the mirror, slowly tracing the brows and eyes, thinking to himself how incredibly handsome he was.
He’d tell Nathan the truth right away.
Washing up, getting dressed, and heading downstairs would all happen smoothly. Seeing himself (in his own body) training expressionlessly with the team as usual, he’d start wondering where Kishi was—until the other secretly gave him a playful wink when no one was looking. Even though seeing himself make that expression was strange, it proved Kishi was safe, and Yuder would feel relieved.
As for secrets—probably none. The only big one would be experiencing firsthand the effort Kishi makes every day to maintain balance within his own body.
The hardest part about controlling the other’s body and pretending to be them would likely be expressions and tone of voice—Yuder would struggle with that. Thankfully, Kishi is already elusive by nature, so as long as nothing goes wrong, it wouldn’t matter if he’s unseen all day.
Yuder is quite familiar with handling the captain’s duties.
When alone in the office, Yuder might feel curious about Kishi’s abilities but would hesitate to use them freely—after all, not being Kishi himself makes it hard to fully grasp the balance of power. Though usually indifferent toward his own body, he’d definitely be extremely careful with Kishi’s.
When Kishi wakes up in the morning, the first thing he’d notice is that his body feels different—much lighter.
Sitting up, aside from the shifted perspective, he’d see the flowers he’d given Yuder—casually arranged in a vase on Yuder’s desk.
If he finds himself in Yuder’s body, he’d also likely touch his face while looking in the mirror, maybe even making expressions the original owner never does—and quietly set a small goal like, “One day, I’ll make Yuder show an expression like this.”
Kishi would notice a few minor scratches on Yuder’s body that even Yuder probably hadn’t paid attention to. He’d instinctively want to use divine power to heal them, then remember they’d switched bodies.
He’d definitely be very curious about Yuder’s abilities, though he might struggle with control at first—but after a few tries, he’d get the hang of it.
During training, excited by the freedom to use abilities so effortlessly, Kishi would fight hard to keep a straight face and not smile, all to savor the fun of pretending to be his own aide.
As for secrets—Kishi probably wouldn’t rummage through Yuder’s things, so he wouldn’t discover the paper flowers hidden in a box at the very back of Yuder’s closet.
Controlling and pretending likely wouldn’t be too much of an issue, since Kishi himself regularly participates in the cavalry’s one-versus-many training sessions anyway.
The first thing after swapping back, Yuder would definitely check Kishi’s body and say he finally understood how much effort the captain puts into balancing his power every day—then add that he’d do everything he could to help find a solution.
Kishi would smile and say he’d experienced what it feels like to be nature’s favorite for a day, then remark how popular Yuder is within the corps, joking that it made him a little envious—and that he’d love to swap into one of the corps members’ bodies next time to receive Yuder’s personal guidance.
