Chapter Text

The sun had most definitely risen and chosen violence that morning, for not once had it faltered. The light brushed the waves as they maneuvered wherever the current pointed them. Any artist or photographer would have stopped to paint or photograph. Hell, even a casual beach enjoyer would have had their breath stolen. But for the crew on this boat? Just another Tuesday morning. Pirates...a complicated group. For some underwater dwellers, they were a snack (sirens), others an obstacle (sea monsters and fish), but for the merfolk? Danger. "Ey candy apple," He called, candy apple was another of his most favorited crew members, "Be a dear and fetch me that pretty little mermaid." His tone was almost mocking, never was the serious type. He pointed in the direction of the merman, and candy apple moved with bouncy diligence, securing a large net to shoot directly at the man. Black sapphire lowered the sails to move more discreetly in order to not be seen by the man as they crept forward, ready to make a shot...
