It's interesting how Raoul uses his father's name and his deeds for the English king as an argument in front of the Irishman. In front of an Irishman! As clever as Raoul usually is, he clearly lacks tact in some matters. Luckily for him, he still managed to strike the right chord with O'Rourke with this remark. I really like the structure of this chapter. Amenzu's interest in Amélie creates a sense of urgency to attempt the escape now, despite all the risks and dangers. Through the aforementioned conversation, O'Rourke discovers his honorable side and helps them. The whole escape itself is of course very exciting, I was so hoping they wouldn't get caught. The finale is great! Luckily, I'm late to reading it, so I can turn straight to the next chapter!
