  1. Man, for every rare occasion I sigh a little over Connor, ficlets like this one remind me that oh good lord he comes by the angst and trauma too damn honestly. Especially with such a large age gap for Connor and his oldest siblings. And then poor Arthur needing to grow up faster (if not in obvious ways) if only so Connor can be a kiddo just a bit longer...

    1. Yeah, poor Connor isn't an angsty teenager just because that's just the thing to do with teenagers, but also because starting at age four, everyone left him, or almost, anyway. It's a nine year gap between Connor and the twins, and then a full twelve between him and Llew (I mathed wrong last time, it's not 17). Which means the only four year gap means that the babies are closer to each other than they are to the older three, and... and yeah, it's a mess. Arthur tried, but like. He was eleven. What else could he do?
