Hey, so, uhhh, look dude; you're making a comment on someone's fanfic, not a business work email. Point is, in this setting, the author has absolutely no obligation whatsoever to reply to any one person's comment, and alternatively, you have no right to demand one from them. That's just extremely rude, plain and simple.

I know, I know. It's just that I've made comments on other fics and they've received replies. And a couple of times, one of my comments wasn't answered because the author hadn't seen it. So I figured the same thing happened here. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude.
You know, it's nice that you're aware and apologize. That automatically makes you better than, like, 90% of the internet!
But yeah, I personally always just leave whatever comment I want to leave, and if the author doesn't respond then I just let it be and move on. I've found that's usually the best rule of thumb to go by.
