    Great story so far. Just wondering in your classification system what would it be called when the body is revived before the ghost enters it? And also what would Jason todd be classified as? Most fics say revenant but your system has revenants ad dead bodies, and his isn’t dead (I know it’s not a cross over but I’m curious what the classification would be)

      I didn't think of that scenario! I don't know the character, but I suppose it would depend on how separate the ghost and the body are. If they act as one being and can't be separated, then probably closer to a liminal, but if they can become a separate ghost and body then maybe a variation on a revenant? Could just be a ghost possessing a zombie, my idea is that a zombie would be a revived body without a soul attached, so totally mindless, which would be ideal for overshadowing. Or, maybe there could be a whole different name for it, there's plenty of names for revived beings in mythology to choose from!

        I don’t know exactly what cannon says, I only know from fannon, but there are 2 ways. The way that I think is most cannon is, he dies after being beaten to near death and exploded by the joker, his body is buried, he body somehow revives itself but is kinda brain dead and just shuffles around Gotham for a while before taken to the league of assassins and dunked in the Lazarus pits which healed lingering injuries (including childhood malnutrition) and brought back his mind but with anger issues. The other way is his body is stolen from its grave by the LOA and just put in the pit.

        Due to the brutal death it is likely he became a ghost, so when his body revived it could be seen as you mentioned a zombie. But the Pits, often if fannon called corrupted ectoplasm, brought his mind back, so I’m guessing fusing the ghost to the already living body. So not quite reviving body with ghost in it. Unless it’s route 2 and just the pits that would mean liminal/halfa.
