academic catharsis for river!! i like to think that river has debated with mx. hoffer about being an 'academic maverick' before, and they used that phrase on purpose as senator gale just to mess with mx. hoffer. :)
i am so glad you're invested and feeling the nerve-wracking vibes! i love the show 'pushing daisies', but the first time watching it was just stressful all the time because every episode has some amount of almost-touching between the person with the power and the alive-agained person. so it's good to hear i've captured that feeling of stress here!
