Draco may be acting like an idiot, but anyone who has ever done an internship in their life can tell you that this attitude is absolutely normal.
I'm not saying it's good, and that interns don't end up almost shaking after each shift, but it's normal. No one is going to treat you with kid gloves so as not to hurt you or hurt your feelings, it doesn't matter.
Hermione, like it or not, has to play along. He's the boss, and she's the student.
St Mungo's may not have valued her, but she probably also got used to everyone paying her homage and no one contradicting her, something that won't happen here because she's not the smartest one in the operating theatre.
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS. you’re absolutely right. Hospital hierarchy is a creature you cannot ignore. But he very clearly enjoys making her life miserable... man lives for the dramatic flourish. Hermione’s brilliant, but brilliance doesn’t cancel hierarchy, and it definitely doesn’t cancel the fact that she’s the one learning and he’s the one teaching (sort of because she is not exactly an intern, but he treated her like one).
Thank you for reading! ❤️
I’m also kind of nervous now because you clearly know a lot… so please tell me if I made some morbid mistake anywhere, I research but... I want the medical side to feel kind of believable.
