Poor Maedhros, the journey of healing will be long, but at least he's free! I can imagine him wanting to fade and go to the halls, but the thought of his family, wife and newborn son are too strong to allow him to. Findelwen speaking to him about their love and their family was sweet. I imagine they do miss when their world was simple and the only thing they had to worry about was their fathers' fighting and their grandfather's good intentioned meddling.
I really like how you're writing Luthien. She's a Sindar elf so it would make sense she would know the land very well. She loves her father, but she stands for what she believes in, which very much goes with canon.
Thanks for the compliment! I do try to keep the character's personalities similar to how they are in canon, only changing a few things (like Fëanor's humbling) to fit the changes I made. And I pretty much enjoy foreshadowing XD
