      Thanks. The first several chapters are going to move fast, at least at first, because this version of Kara is way more confident of herself than the Season 1/Season 2 version.

        I will say, without Kara, Alex wouldn't be in the DEO. She was literally recruited by John because of Kara and John only took over Hanks life because of a promise to Jeremiah Danvers who saved him. Jeremiah was only with the DEO because of hank henshaw threatening to take Kara if he didn't join.

          The recruitment rationale is still similar here, without Jeremiah joining the DEO. Since Superman asked the Danvers for assistance in understanding his powers, and Alex knew a great deal about Superman, the DEO took that into consideration in recruiting her. This Superman works more closely with the DEO too, as you'll see soon.
