    Oh, man! This was such a smooth way to introduce River's character with the alternate introduction. Getting in over his head working a case! Classic.

    Also, really enjoyed the shootout at the landfill! The descriptions felt very noir, tense but with a little bit of punch for flavor. Looking forward to reading more!
