   The climax was an absolute fizzle, having no real emotional payoff because I didn't care about any of these characters, who are as stiff and lifeless as the author's social calendar. The failure to make the reader invested is a direct consequence of the author's detachment from reality. This is a BAD fic by a clearly UNSOCIAL person, and the prospect of their sad, solo Christmas brings me no joy, just pity for this horrific story.
